Само собой, уже появились многочисленные руководства по исправлению наиболее часто встречающихся в игре ошибок — мы, конечно, говорим о версии для PC. Порталы crashwiki и gamepur опубликовали наиболее полные на данный момент гайды, они и приводятся ниже.
Если вы счастливый обладатель видеокарты Nvidia — компания уже выпустила драйвер с улучшенной поддержкой Just Cause 3. Если же у вас видеокарта AMD — смело продолжайте чтение.
Проблемы со сменой разрешения
В папке /Documents/Square Enix/Just Cause 3/Saves/0 откройте файл settings.json, установите нужное разрешение в двух первых строчках и перезагрузите игру.
Где найти сохранения
В папке /Documents/Square Enix/Just Cause 3/Saves/<идентификатор пользователя>.
Странные шумы и проблемы со звуком
Может помочь отключение объемного звучания — его можно отключить в Настройках динамиков; кроме того, может помочь запуск игры в режиме совместимости с Windows 7.

Попробуйте запустить Just Cause 3 в режиме совместимости с Windows 7.
Проблемы с производительностью и глюки на видеокартах AMD
Стоит дождаться новых драйверов с улучшенной поддержкой Just Cause 3 — их можно будет найти здесь. Однако есть более странный способ, который помог некоторым владельцам карт AMD: переключение формата звука(!) на 16 бит и 96000 Гц.
Слишком низкая частота кадров в секунду
Первым делом обновите драйвера. Затем попробуйте отключить вертикальную синхронизацию или переключиться в оффлайн-режим.

В настройках Just Cause 3 отключите глубину резкости и эффекты боке.

Файлы, драйверы и библиотеки
Прежде чем начать искать свою проблему, вам необходимо обновить до последней версии драйвер своей видеокарты:
- Скачать драйвер для видеокарты Nvidia GeForce.
- Скачать драйвер для видеокарты AMD Radeon.
Обязательным условием для успешного функционирования любой игры является наличие самых свежих драйверов для всех устройств в системе. Скачайте утилиту Driver Updater, чтобы легко и быстро загрузить последние версии драйверов и установить их одним щелчком мыши:
- загрузите Driver Updater и запустите программу;
- произведите сканирование системы (обычно оно занимает не более пяти минут);

Just Cause 3 вылетает? Решение
Если игра вылетает на рабочий стол, скорее всего, у вас недостаточно свободной оперативной памяти. Закройте все лишние программы, такие как антивирус, проигрыватели, браузер и т.д. Снизьте графические настройки.
В случае если игра вылетает тогда, когда вы пытаетесь изменить разрешение, откройте файл settings.json, находящийся в /Documents/Square Enix/Just Cause 3/Saves/0. Используя блокнот, пропишите нужное вам разрешение, после чего сохраните файл.

Проверьте, соответствует ли ваш компьютер минимальным системным требованиям. Если нет, не удивляйтесь, что игра не работает.
В Just Cause 3 черный экран? Решение
Попробуйте открыть игру в оконном режиме. Проверьте целостность игры в Steam. Возможно при установке какой-то файл был пропущен. В противном случае переустановите игру. Не забудьте включить автоматическое обновление. Как правило, разработчики исправляют большинство проблем патчами.
В Just Cause 3 ошибка (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG)? Решение
Вам нужно отключить интерфейс Steam, после чего перезапустить клиент. Обновите драйверы видеокарты.
В Just Cause 3 выскакивает Direct3D Error
Как и в случае ошибки DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG, вы должны отключить интерфейс Steam. Закройте приложение в диспетчере задач, а затем снова попробуйте открыть игру.

Hi,
I just bought the game Just Cause 3. I ran it and it said the following:
«A fatal error occurred in the graphics driver.
Your device does not seem to support Direct3D 11 feature set.
Make sure you have the latest drivers installed, and that your graphics hardware is D3D11 compatible.
Just Cause 3 will now exit.
any unsaved progress will be lost.»
Then it exits.
Any idea how to fix this. I am running Windows 10 Pro and I have quite a beefy PC.

um sorry to let you know, but your PC isn’t even close to beefy, considering your GPU is at least 6-7 years old. Your computer simply doesn’t support JC3 because of how outdated your graphics card is. There might be a way to force JC3 to use DX9, but it won’t be playable

Yeah OP, your GPU is trash. Even if you got it to launch, it wouldn’t run very well. If you bought the game on steam, you can refund it though.

So a couple of weeks ago Just Cause 3 wouldn’t work at all even though it worked before, and a couple of days ago I reinstalled Windows which fixed the problem :/
And after reinstalling Windows it ran good for about 2 days until there started being problems with it again, It crashed and said «Direct3D Error code 38»
So I can run it for a little bit then it will crash
Is there any way to fix this problem? I have tried turning SSR off and on but still crashing (I have also tried underclocking my graphics card with -7 but still crashing)

I have tried literally every solution on google, reddit, the steam community, and friends that I can find, and the game constantly gives me an error 38 crash. I know it’s not my graphics card being too weak despite falling below the min. requirements because the game runs fine, and people with even 970s are reporting this issue. I can play for about 5 minutes before it crashes.
Can ANYONE help me fix this broken-ass game?

I have the same exact issue. R9 200 series AMD card and motherboard. I can play for up to 30 minutes occasionally before the crash, but I’ve never played the game without getting this or a similar crash. It’s ridiculous.

IDK if you guys saw the post that was pinned about this issue, but me and a few others found that we all had factory overclocked graphics cards, and thougth this may have been part of the issue. Do you guys all have overclocked or factory overclocked GPUs? I am no longer getting the error message(was getting everytime I started the game) I created a profile for JC 3 in nvidia control panel and set performance from adapative to perfer maximum and I set the power target in MSI afterburner to 107% (I had to tweek this a bit to get it to where it didn’t crash at various points while playing but last night after setting to 107% I played for several hours staying above 60fps, didn’t get any graphical glitches or crashes.) Also this could have been where I was in the game, ive noticed that sometimes these crashes I experienced were happening consistently in certain areas.

Here’s what I did that seems to have done something for me, hopefully it helps someone else too. After doing this I managed to play for 3 hours (could previously only play until an explosion occurred) and then the game crashed with a proper «report this error to JC3 devs» kinds of box. But then I relaunched and didn’t have any troubles for another 4 hours until I turned it off.
1. Update nVidia drivers
2. Apply GeForce Experience recommended settings
3. Disable Screen Space Reflection
4. Disable SLI
5. Set PhysX dedicated to secondary GPU (the one not connected to display)
6. Verify Game Cache
7. Disable any overclocking configs and software and reboot computer
My system specs:
CPU: i7-6700k
RAM: DDR4 4x8GB
GPU: 2x MSI GTX-770 (2gb)
OS: Windows 10 Pro x64

Hello guys
Yesterday I bought JC3 and after a long download phase I was really excited to finally play it. But this sh** constantly crashes with a stupid error message «game loop».
I googled and found some theories like: Factory overclocked graphiccards are affected by this issue. Try to underclock. I have a GTX 580 from Zotac which is factory overclocked
After multiple tries I finally found a setting that worked SOMETIMES. I set the core clock from 825 to 426. But I couldn’reach the third trailer without an abort with the error 38.
So I googled again and tried other suggestions like new Windoes Profile, Compatibilitymode, disable second monitor, fix voltage for the grca but nothing helped
After 6 hours I went to reddit for a cooldown. I stack over an article where a user says: enable Screen Space Reflections.

I had my SSR ON by default. I still get the error 38 crashes all the time. Sometimes I can play for 20 minutes without a crash, other times it crashes within 15 seconds of starting the game.
I also tried underclocking the core clock by 10% and didn’t notice any difference in the frequency of the error 38 crashes.
My system:
Win 10 64-bit
Intel Core i5-3570K
ASUS P8Z77-V PRO
AMD 7870 (I’m using this temporarily because I was having other problems with my EVGA GeForce GTX 780 SC)

Good for me. I was not able to play the game without crashing. My GPU is a MSI 980ti gaming, I clocked the core at -90 to set it at 1000mhz as a reference card and no more crash. Since I get arround 90..100 fps underclocked, it doesn’t really mather and it’s great.
It’s strange by the way. Usually, I overclock my card +110 and no problem at all with none of my games.
My system:
Win 10 64-bit
Intel Core i7-4790
16gb ram
MSI GTX980ti gaming edition 6gb

На одном компе я откатил драйвера на более старую версию, на другом поставил программу MSI Afterburner и уменьшил параметр «Core Clock» видеокарты на -25. Еще установил файлы подкачки по 12 гб. Это полностью устранило такие вылеты.
Так что тебе необходимо поставить программу MSI Afterburner и уменьшить в ней значение «Core Clock (MHz)» на -10 или -50. Затем сохранить в этой программе профиль (Кнопочки «1» и «Save») и поставить галочку напротив пункта «Apply overclocking at system startup».
И еще нужно установить файл подкачки в системе, значение должно быть в 1,5 раза больше чем количество установленной оперативной памяти. Например, если стоит 8 гб оперативки нужно поставить 12 гб подкачки.

I am playing just cause 3 on medium settings because I wanted to get the best out of my FPS.
At a certain point in the game not too far in my game crashes and i get an error which says:

A FATAL ERROR OCCURRED IN THE GRAPHICS DRIVER.
CODE:38
RESULT: ‘DEVICE REMOVED, REASON, DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG: GRAPHICS DEVICE STOPPED RESPONDING. THERE MIGHT BE AN INFINITE LOOP IN GPU PROGRAM.’

Infinite Loop Device Crash:
Turning SCREEN SPACE REFLECTIONS option to “ON” will fix this issue.
AMD and Nvidia Texture Issue:
There is a latest driver has been out for Just Cause 3, installing it will fix this Texture issue.

Preformance Problem with Nvidia Cards
Open up Nvidia control panel and look under 3D settings and find manage 3D settings. Look up Energy saving settings. Standard it on “adaptive” but changes it to “Full performance”.
Launching Issues
Restarting will fix this issue or you can also try to reset your PC.
No Sound In-Game:
Verify in Windows that the sound card volume is up to mid-level for all sound reproduction. (Click on the volume system tray icon) Next in the Control Panel click on Multimedia and verify that your sound card is active and the preferred device for playback. Finally check the System control panel and verify NO conflicts with the soundcard are present. Install the latest drivers for your soundcard.
Direct3D Error
A fatal Error occured in the graphics driver, try to reinstall the game and also your graphic card driver.
Unable to Play in Borderless Fullscreen Window
Right-Click the game in your Steam Library and go to Properties and then Set Launch Options, here enter “/borderless /windowed” command. To play the game in these modes.
