Problem installing INPA
I am having troubles with the INPA installation. I have downloaded the 3 INPA 6.4.3 files from the NCS folder from 4shared.com and the ENGLISH SETUP.pdf and the Installprog901.exe from the Install folder. When I run the exe. file it takes me to the setup and I get an error message right here:
6. Select configuration «BMW Group Rectification programs UK» and click continue (this
selection makes INPA run in English which is kind of useful!)When I click continue it gives me an error message: UNLHA32 Error Report (on UnlhaMain : 2) A LZH Archive not found. : ‘C:/DOCUMENTS.LZH’
Then it closes the installation.

Put the installation on a CD and run from there. David just let me know about this today.

I made the files into an ISO image and mounted with Daemon Tools Pro.
Installed OK, but INPA worked crappy. SO… it appears you MUST burn it to DVD.
I un-installed it, as I dont have a DVD drive on my new Ideapad.

There’s no need to make an ISO image or burn a CD. Mount the NRG image that you get from extracting the INPA 6.4.3 files in Daemon tools lite, and run Installprog901.exe (or Installprog.exe) from the Daemon tools drine.

Hi: I am in exact same posture as you reported on this thread. My INPA came already on a cd and I thought I was doing this right but what exactly did you do differently after you posted this problem?

I create a new folder on C drive called INPA_CD,then put all files from downloaded INPA,then run install from INPA_CD.

Thank you, Paul, and in the meantime I figured out my problem: the software I bought came on one cd, but it was compressed. Trying to «run it off the cd» was fruitless and extracting files to my desktop got me nowhere either (didn’t think C: drive).
FINALLY it hit me to extract to computer, to its own folder, then burn that decompressed folder to its own cd. Then run installation off of THAT cd. It worked.
Was not on the inx sheet, which is missing some other minor items but that was the biggie.
Thanks everyone, and I hope revisiting this issue here helps the next person.

For whatever it’s worth, it seems that the «root» of the problem is that the install software is allergic to spaces and punctuation.
While burning it to a CD will solve the problem, it does that because the files are then on the root of the CD drive, with no intervening file names.
I was trying to install it from a file folder on my desktop, so the files were in «BMW Software» which was on «My Desktop»
That’s two spaces right there.
I just took the whole folder and moved it to the root of the C-drive (C:) and it worked fine.As a Mac guy, I find this stupid WinDOS formatting stuff an infuriating waste of my time, but I guess it is what it be.

Hey fellas ive tried both way and still haven’t made any progress, the setup still give me the unlha32 error. Any ideas why. My program came on a disk no luck, copies to desktop no luck, places in to of c drive no luck.

There are two Inpa Folders on the CD. One is a uncompressed Folder and the other is as ISO image to be mounted. I solved this issue by installing from the mounted ISO image.

I did that and still gives me error I checked all file locations and made sure there were no spaces I deleted everything from the c drive and reinstalled it fresh from the cd and boom same error is there something I can do in cmd or move files around or rename a file or configure that file in the install folder?

Нажимаем на кнопку Continue.
6.10. Началась установка… Она займет не более 5 минут.
6.11. Запуститься окно:
Нажимаем на кнопку End.
6.12. Запуститься окно:
Нажимаем на кнопку — Эта программа установлена правильно.
6.13. Молодцы! У вас всё получилось! Вы установили EDIABAS, NCS, NFS, обновили INPA до 5.0.1.
7. Подключение OBD USB-кабеля, установка и настройка.
7.1. Подключаем OBD USB кабель в любой свободный USB-порт.
7.2. Ждем 1 минуту.
7.3. Скачиваем SFX-архив, если Вы его еще не скачали — Driver.
7.4. Распаковываем его.
7.5. Открываем пуск. Нажимаем правой кнопкой мыши по Компьютер. И выбираем свойства.
7.6. Запуститься окно:
Выбираем пункт Диспетчер устройств.
7.7. Запуститься окно:
Выбираем раздел Другие устройства. И нажимаем правой кнопкой мыши по BMW Diagnostic Interface. И выбираем Обновить драйверы…
7.8. Запуститься окно:
Выбираем — Выполнить поиск драйверов на этом компьютере.
7.9. Запуститься окно:
Указываем местонахождение извлеченной папки Driver. Ставим галочку — Включая вложенные папки. Далее нажимаем кнопку — Далее.
7.10. Запуститься окно:
Нажимаем кнопку — Закрыть.
Переходим к Части 4
Если Вам помогла данная инструкция, то не забываем нажать на соответствующую кнопульку. Если что-то непонятно, оставляем комментарий, будем разбираться! ヅ

INPA Install Issue Hello, I have searched but have not found anyone that this also is happening to. This seems really straightforward, so I dont know why I cant get past this. I am in step 2 of the installation when I am choosing the configuration. I choose «BMW group rectification programs UK» When i press continue an error comes up that says «A LZH Archive not found. : ‘D:/INPA.LZH'» Then I get error 11006 and error code 8029 and the installation program cancels. Any help would be very helpful! |

Make sure there are no spaces or special characters in the path to your instprog.exe file. For example c:usersmemy documentsreferenzinstallinstprog.exe will not work because there is a space in «my documents.» |

No need to pull files out of the folders, you just need to get rid of the subfolders in front of and including Step2. I copied the files to a flash drive and ran it from there. |

Had this problem. Just thought I’d let anyone stuck there that it was solved by just copying the «IPNA» directory with all the «steps» to the ‘C:’ drive instead of trying to run it from wherever it was located. |

I have the same issue as described previously by E90Cruisin. I am in step 2 of the installation when I am choosing the configuration. I had to do this on my notebook as the default drive is only 32GB. and i have a SDCard install of 128GB I tried multiple times with trying to use a different drive letter for install of bimmergeeks stuff. I ended up doing the install and downloading Steam Mover which creates shortcuts in C: drive and fixes registry issues. everything works fine. Highly suggest SteamMover |

Tried downloading INPA from various sources and never got it working. Instead of messing around finding the correct INPA files and installation (some even require 32bit XP machine), I ended up buying one from ebay for $7. One click installation and worked on my Win 10 64bit laptop. Saved me lots of headache and time. |

добрый день форумчане проблема такая ставлю inpa на ноут и выдает такую ошибку: «UNLHA32 Error report » винда 7 с 64 разр. просьба не пинать новичков

This is because you have attempted to install the software directly from your desktop, after unzipping, it MUST be copied to a DVD and installed from the DVD or the file extraction process will not work correctly and the .LZH archive file will not be found.

Как вариант поставить на ноут 32-х битную версию Винды, но как вторую ОС. В Инете много статей как это делать. В эти выходные сам так сделал.
У меня Инпа на 64-х разрядной Windows 7 работает, но кодирование не запустишь. Ставил Инпу на 64-х разрядную Винду давно и уже многое не помню, но точно помню что она после установки не заработала и я просто перенес потом папки Инпы с компьютера, где была установлена Windows XP.

Да проблема в 64разрядах. Мне ботаники ставили, но кодирование всё равно не работало.

№1 03 11 2016, 19:36 Приветствую уважаемые форумчане. Не ругайте сильно если задаю глупые вопросы. Почитал темы на форуме, похожего не нашел, может конечно плохо искал. Автомобиль E60, 525I, M54, бензин, американец, 2005 года. Купил китайский шнурок с софтом. Начал устанавливать по инструкции. У меня винда 10, 32 битная. Распаковал архив на диск С, две папки: BMW INPA и EDIABAS, с первой папки установил INPA,появился ярлык на рабочем столе, потом указал путь в переменных средах «;C:ediabasbin», далее с папки EDIABAS установил «ADSSETUP.EXE», только установки не увидел, что-то вроде произошло, потом перезагрузил компьютер, далее с папки BMW INPA скопировал файлы BIN и переместил их в папку EDIABAS тоже в папку BIN, в диспетчере устройств появился СОМ1 последовательный порт и еще один USB Serial port СОМ1, когда подключаю шнурок, пишет устройство работает нормально, в параметрах порта установил время отклика 1мсек, по советам «бывалых». Запускаю программу подключаю все, но кружочки батарея и еще один в статусе Off, не знаю что делать. Буду рад любым советам.

у меня тоже китай,установил сразу,(не видит некоторый блоки,кетай кули),попробуй переустанови,что ты не так делаешь,у меня так было когда порт не указан был,стоит винда 10

№9 08 11 2016, 11:41 Ошибка типа IFH-0018 INITIALIZATION ERROR и IFH 0009 No Response From Control Unit, у меня еще антивирус аваст стоит, я его не отключал, но он не ругается, может дрова кривые под шнурок, но пишет, что устройство функционирует нормально. Я когда захожу в программу, выбираю свой кузов, мотор, хочу посмотреть ошибки, выскакивает ошибка с желтым треугольником.

№13 08 11 2016, 21:26 При установке INPA хвост вообще не подключал, во время установки ни где система не просила порт указывать, сделал по инструкции на диске, описал сверху. Попробую все снести и сделать все вышеописанное с подключенным хвостом. Спасибо за информацию. Отпшусь по результатам.

№15 09 11 2016, 16:44 Внимание! Качаем драйверы не новее, чем версия 2.10! Новые драйверы распознают китайские неоригинальные чипы и скидывают PID устройства на 0! В результате получаем испорченный шнурок. Если включен Windows Update — отключаем его, не даем винде ставить драйверы по умолчанию, потому что есть шанс, что автоматом поставятся именно плохие драйверы.

Устанавливал INPA, при установке выходит ошибка что на установочном диске нет файла INPA.LZH. Посмотрите в своих дистрибутивах, может найдётся, или я делаю что то не то ?

Была на подобие ошибка (вернее не помню, может и такая), пока реестр не почистил вручную не получалось, почистил и все поставилось

Скопируй все содержимое диска на диск *С*и устанавливай!

не получается пишет, что только с диска, а у меня нет в нетбуке CD дисковода.
и что где искать этот файл

inpa installation error
Hi
I have just acquired a copy of inpa 5.0 and have tried installing it but I get 2 different error messages at 2 different places in the installation process. The one I think is a cable or port error from windows. The second comes when I try and install the version ie UK it comes up and says «E:inpa.LZH. Archive not found , has anyone had this before?

Archive not found , has anyone had this before?missing .LZH comes because you need to mount the INPA.ISO with Daemon tools and afer that you can run the Instprog without any errors, if you run Instprog directly without mounting the ISO image it will no work

When i was installing, i was mounted with PowerISO. but geting the same error. then i just copied step 2 folder to C:EDIABAS and installed from there. installation was successful. same did with step 3 folder. after all installation finishes perfectly. cheers

Newbie
Better to start a guide and write it for all of your users so they can read it and understand how installation works. The https://www.assignmentholic.co.uk/ help in tough cases and tell us how to do all the things for sure.
