Adobe After Effects Start-up Error? Please Help!

Hi, This morning I started after effects and it came up with this Warning:
So, I click »Okay» and then this error appears:
And again, after I click okay, not knowing what any of this means, this error appears:

Yes, I am trying to install AE Through the Creative Cloud app. And yes, I have only just installed the Creative Cloud. The exact steps I am taking are:
First I click on the «apps» tab in the Creative Cloud window, this brings up the list of available trials. Next, I click on the «Try» button next to «After Effects CC (2014)», the installation only gets to 43%. The button «Installation Failed — Learn More».
So when I click on the «Lean more» button, it shows me this error.

After Effects .png sequence mask feather

Forgive me if this question is in the wrong place, I am new to this forum.
I have a .png sequence in AE (animation comprised of png files as frames). I use this format since the built in alpha channel/mask/transparency allows me to create composite images with blurred background/foregrounds (mimicking depth of field).
Basically the edges are too ‘crisp’ and I would like to feather them. I am used to working with masks but I havn’t used the .png format for animation until now.
If I were in Photoshop I would simply select the layers pixels, create mask, feather the edge and voila. But I can’t seem to access this png mask in after effects. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply. I seem to remember that about png’s from a first year class
Well my footage comes from a cg application and there are too many frames to manage in photoshop (unless there is a macro or batch script).
So there is no way to feather the transparency in AE (or premiere pro)?
As a last resort I suppose I can render an alpha channel as a separate sequence an use that.

After Effects CS5.5 — Error ( 3 :: 3 ) please help!

Do you know how to get rid of error ( 3 :: 3)?
I have installed After Effects CS 5.5 on my new Mac, through the Adobe Creative Suite Help / Download CS 5.5 products. This error keeps on coming up when ever I open an old project or I’m about to save a new one. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, used the clean up tool provided by Adobe and nothing is working. I even chatted with Adobe Tech Support and the user informed me that my «issue needs expert assistance».  I could really use some help! Please and thank you!

Thank you Rick! I have reset the permissions in the Library/Preferences folder, I don’t know if I did it correctly so I made a before and after to show you what I changed.
And here is the new warning message now. And when I tried to save a new test composition, the original error came up, so I’m assuming I didn’t change the permissions correctly.

Huh? What are the comp settings? They must be 720×480 for NTSC or 720×576 for PAL with teh respective correct pixel aspect ratios. Also make sure to disable/enable audio as needed in bothe the main Output Module settings >>>and<<< the MPEG-II exporter (just in case this will be the next error that pops up.

Adobe After Effects Cs6 Installation Error. HELP!

When i do my installation of Adobe After effects cs6, i install as trial version, because i want to see what it is like, and i do everything like everyone says, and then it stops at 2 percent saying Installation Failed and it comes up with these solutions, and i did them all about 5 times and it STILL wont work! SOMEBODY HELP!
And it also saidthis in the error summary:
Payload ‘{0A1E2FE2-B2AD-42F4-9C74-641853FB093A} Photoshop Camera Raw 7 6.0.98.0’ information not found in Media_db.

I have exactly the same problem when installing CS6 Trial.

After Effects CC (2014) Error «I need some serious help right now!»

I wanted to create a Superman opening title sequence from After Effects CC (2014). So, I decided to download it from Creative Cloud and put the new «amtlib.framework» file on package contents in the «Framework» folder. I open the application and I get this error.
Then, this other error popped up.
That’s where I’m at right now. So, a few questions come to mind.
1. Should I open it in trial mode and quit out of it and then add the «amtlib.framework» file to «Framework» or will it just open and give me the same errors?
2. Do I have to turn off my Wi-Fi and then open the application?
3. Do I have to get the updates first?
Anyone who knows what to do with this issue, I would appreciate it. Don’t give me BS answers and don’t tell me that I have to update from Mavericks to Yosemite, because I have no interest in Yosemite.
Before I forget, here’s info on my MacBook for those wondering.
This is an old laptop I had in the last week of January of 2011. I upgraded it to OS X Lion to Mavericks on 2014. I’m still on Mavericks.
Anyways, some answers and guidance would be great so I can fix the issue and move on.

Yes, it is. And with an unsuitable processor and insufficient graphics memory at that. This will never work. You can only download an older version of AE as a trial.

Adobe After Effects CS4 trial installation problem, Please Help!

Ok, I downloaded the trail version of Adobe After Effects CS4 onto my PC (Windows XP). When I try to run the setup (by double-clicking it), a window pops up saying ‘Adobe setup has encountered a problem and needs to close.’ Does anyone know why this is, and how I might be able to fix it? I already tried re-downloading it, and I checked the system requirements. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME BECAUSE I REALLY WANT TO USE THIS! If it will help here are my PC’s specs:
Operating System — Windows XP with service pack 3
RAM — 2.0GB
Graphics Card — ATI Radeon HD 4830
Processor — Intel Core 2 Dual 2.2GHz
Monitor Resolution — 1280×1024

Verify the following:
a) you run as administrator
b) your virus scanner and firewall don’t interfere
c) you have enough temporary disk space
d) no other tools are interfering
For b), simply turn those tools off during install. For c), check your user temp directory (C:Documents and SettingsYouLocal SettingsTemp). Clean it out either manually or using tools like CCleaner. Also defragment your drive. For d), you may need to uninstall otehr Adobe software. also monitor your task manager for processes and services that may have a negative impact. A dump of those can easily be generated using HijackThis!, so you can post the list here for verification, if needed. also provide any otehr info that could be important, like e.g. special drivers or user settings.

After Effects wont open error message

Hello. 
My After effects wont open. I’ve read many forums and info that others have written about it not opening. Stuff about erasing fonts, deactivating fonts, then also, finding folders /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS4/MediaCore—> which was empty and had nothing to erase or do anything with  http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/973961 …Still nothing.

My computer is a brand new mac book pro. Tip Top of the line. Not sure what other details i should give.

What exact version of After Effects? Include the minor version number (e.g., After Effects CS5.5 with the 10.5.1 update). Do not just say «After Effects with the latest updates»; give the specific version number.

It has worked for about 4 or 5 days. It was even working when i was doing the same action prior to the last time it stopped working. I was uploading a file from my other computers file. Which i had done many times throughout the day. As i work on one computer and when i have to leave and bring my laptop with me i do so. Because i work on my computer all day long. Desktop or laptop.
Do you have QuickTime installed. (You should.) If so, what version? The answer should be specific, such as «QuickTime 7.6.2».

if that is the Double line play button then yes.
Are you using the ray-traced 3D renderer?
Not sure what that is.
If the problem is with output, give your exact output settings (both render setting and output module settings). Screenshots help.
What is the exact sequence of steps that you are taking?

Are you saying you installed AE only from the CS5.5 package?
