Method A: Use Microsoft Knowledge Base article 950756

Method B: Verify your product key and use the «Change product key» feature to reactivate Windows

This method is rated: Easy.

If you were directed to this method, you entered an incorrect product key. See the product packaging to make sure that you have the correct product key. Then, follow these steps to use the «Change product key» feature and reactivate Windows:

  1. Click Start windows icon, click Computer, and then click System properties on the toolbar.

  2. In the Windows activation section, click the Change product key. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.

  3. In the Product key box, type the product key, and then click Next.

    Note Check the product packaging to make sure that you are entering the correct product key.

  4. Follow the steps in the Windows Activation Wizard to complete the activation process.

If this method worked, you are finished.

If this method did not work for you, go to method G.

Method C: Use the «Change product key» feature to enter your product key again

This method is rated: Easy.

If you were directed to this method, you have the correct product key, but you have to try entering it again to reactivate Windows. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start windows icon, click Computer, and then click System properties on the toolbar.

  2. In the Windows activation section, click the Change product key. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.

  3. In the Product key box, type the product key, and then click Next.

    Note Use your original product key.

  4. Follow the steps in the Windows Activation Wizard to complete the activation process.

If this method worked, you are finished.

If this method did not work for you, go to method G.

Method D: Verify that the product key is compatible with your version of Windows

This method is rated: Easy.

If you were directed to this method, your product key may not be compatible with your version of Windows. For example, if you have a 32-bit version of Windows, and you purchased a 64-bit upgrade of Windows, the new product key will not work with your current version of Windows. You can only upgrade a 32-bit version of Windows to another 32-bit version of Windows.

To complete this method, follow these steps:

  1. Determine whether you have a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start windows icon, type system in the Start Search box, and then click system in the Programs list.

    2. The operating system appears as follows:

      • For a 64-bit version operating system: 64-bit Operating System appears for the System type under System.

      • For a 32-bit version operating system: 32-bit Operating System appears for the System type under System.

  2. See the product packaging to determine which version of Windows the product key is intended for (32-bit or 64-bit).

  3. If the versions are different, you will have to obtain the correct version of your upgrade.

Method E: Obtain a compatible version of antivirus or DRM software

  3. In the list of topics, click Troubleshoot network and Internet connection problems.

  6. When you are finished, follow the steps in method B to reactivate Windows.

Method G: Activate Windows by using the automated telephone system

    If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.

  3. Click Show me other ways to Activate.

  4. Click Use the automated phone system, and then follow the instructions that are provided.

I recently had EA version 12.0.1215 installed.  A co-worker who is using version 10.0.1009 sent me a .eap file.

When trying to import the .eap file, I am receiving the message «An Error has Occurred: Unrecognized database format».

When trying to repair the file, I received the message «The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object «Databases»».

It is also been suggested to try opening the file in MS Access. We are on Office 365.   When trying to open the file I received the message «Cannot open a database created with a previous version of your application».

What are suggestions to try to resolve this issue?

-open a dummy EAP
-Configure/Check Integrity/Manage .EAP/Repair

If that does not help: go to your backup. You have one, don’t you?

If your colleague is using Jet4 and you are not I think you would get an error like this.

Hi Menderle, I see that you are facing the usual “Unrecognized database format” error.

Workaround 1

Steps
   Click on Start button, and type Command. Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
   Copy and paste the following into the command prompt window:
REG ADD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServiceslanmanserverparameters /v DisableLeasing /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f NET STOP SERVER NET START SERVER
   Exit the command prompt window.
After these steps, try to open your Access database. If you are still getting the ‘Access database in inconsistent state’ error, skip to the next solution.
Workaround 2 – Run ‘Compact and Repair’ Utility

Workaround 3 – Import Data to a New Database
Steps
   In MS Access, click on External Data tab in the top navigation menu and select the “Import Access Database” option.
   Select the ‘Import tables, forms, reports, macros, and modules into the current database’ option and press the OK button.
   In ‘Import Objects’ dialog box that opens, select the database objects you want to import into the new db and then click OK.
If this still doesn’t resolve your concern and if all of your files were not recovered this might mean that the data has been corrupted to a much higher level. In that case here is a https://www.stellarinfo.com/access-database-repair.php which would help you.

    Got an odd error when I’m trying to setup a second website to publish OWA externally. I run:

    new-webservicesvirtualdirectory -Websitename «PublicEx» -ExternalURL «https://x.x.x.x/EWS/Exchange.asmx» -Role ClientAccess -verbose -server casserver.mydomain.local

    and get back An error occurred while creating the IIS virtual Directory. I enabled the IIS-Configuration Administrative Event log and am getting

    An error has occurred: Unrecognized configuration path ‘MACHINE/WEBROOT/APPHOST/PublicEx’

    An error has occurred: Unrecognized configuration path ‘MACHINE/WEBROOT/APPHOST/PublicEx/EWS’

    This has persisted over 2 complete re-installs of the server and was present in 2013, 2013 Cu3 and 2013SP1 and everytime I have tried it on the other cas server I get the same issue.

    Has anyone run into this, or know of a fix for it? Thanks in advance for any help.

When I pull a clean Alphine Linux Docker image, install aws-cli on it and try to authenticate myself with aws ecr get-authorization-token --region eu-central-1 I keep getting the following error:

An error occurred (UnrecognizedClientException) when calling the
GetAuthorizationToken operation: The security token included in the
request is invalid.

I’ve already checked the timezone which seem to be okay, and the command works properly on my local machine.

These are the commands I run to set up aws-cli:

apk add --update python python-dev py-pip
pip install awscli --upgrade
export AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
export AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Is there something obvious I’m missing?

You don’t have permission to access those resources until you get permission to aws-cli, for that you can use the below steps.

Log into your AWS account, click on your account name, select my security credentials, click on access keys and download the credentials

Open your PowerShell as administrator and follow the commands.

$ aws configure
$ AWS Access Key ID [****************E5TA]=xxxxxxxxxx
$ AWS Secret Access Key [****************7gNT]=xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It was an access issue after all! Turns out that if you create a new IAM user with full admin access it can’t by default access the ECR registry you created using a different account. Using the IAM credentials from that other account resolved the issue.

In my case, my ~/.aws/credentials file had an old aws_session_token that was not updated by the aws configure CLI command. Once I opened the file with vi ~/.aws/credentials and deleted the aws_session_token entry, I no longer encountered the UnrecognizedClientException. I’m guessing that the AWS CLI first gives priority to the aws_session_token over the aws access key id and aws secret access key when running AWS CLI commands, if aws_session_token is present in the ~/.aws/credentials file.

Create a new account with AmazonEC2ContainerRegistryFullAccess permission.
Add this account to the .credentials file like this:

[ecr-user]
aws_access_key_id = XXX
aws_secret_access_key = XXX

Then next use following command:

aws ecr get-login-password --profile ecr-user

What worked for me is:
on the first part of pipe add the param —profile < your-profile-name >
and after that in every ECR command you need to provide that parameter.

My issue was caused by the fact that I had inactivated my access key in the AWS IAM Management Console earlier as part of an exercise I was doing. Once I reactivated it, the problem was resolved.

(Make sure you’re in the right AWS region, too.)

After a couple of hours , this is my conclusion :

If you want to use AWS_PROFILE makes sure that the rest of AWS env vars are unset (NOT empty only … MUST be UNSET).

profile=$AWS_PROFILE
unset $(printenv |grep AWS_ | cut -f1 -d"=");
export AWS_PROFILE=${profile};

Then :

  # with aws cli >= 1.x
  $(aws ecr get-login --no-include-email --region ${aws_region})

  # with aws cli >= 2.x
  registry=${aws_account_id}.dkr.ecr.${aws_region}.amazonaws.com
  aws ecr get-login-password --region ${aws_region} | docker login --username AWS --password-stdin ${registry}

Resolved issue after following below:

  1. Go to AWS IAM Management Console
  2. Generate credential in section «Access keys (access key ID and secret access key)»
  3. Run command aws configure and set same downloaded credentials in Cdrive-User-directory.awscredentials

It wasn’t working for me. Out of sheer desperation, I copied the lines starting with export and posted them in the terminal and pressed enter.

Thereafter I wrote aws configure and filled in the details from https://MYCOMPANY.awsapps.com/start#/ >> Account >> Clicked «Command line or programmatic access».

Default region name: eu-north-1
Default output format: text

And then the login succeeded. Don’t ask my why.

I had same error message however I was using session based AWS access . The solution is to add all the keys given by AWS including session token.

aws_access_key_id="your-key-id"
aws_secret_access_key="your-secret-access-key"
aws_session_token="your-session-token"

add it into ~/.aws/credentials for profile you are using .

open the file ~/.aws/credentials (or c:Users{user}.awscredentials on Windows)

It might look something like the following:

[default]
aws_access_key_id = XXXXX
aws_secret_access_key = XXXXX
aws_session_token = XXXXX

Update the aws_access_key_id and aws_secret_access_key with new values and remove the aws_session_token. You can also update aws_access_key_id and aws_secret_access_key via the aws configure command, but this doesn’t remove the session token.

Try running echo $varname to see if the environment variables are set correctly:

echo $AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID
echo $AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY
echo $AWS_DEFAULT_REGION

If they are incorrectly set, run unset varname:

unset AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID
unset AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY
unset AWS_DEFAULT_REGION

In my case, the region I wanted to use was not enabled. Addressed by enabling it at Account > AWS Regions -> enable (and wait patiently for some minutes).

Has anybody seen this error and been able to resolve it?

I was going to post my question there but the DW forum seems to have been permanently shut down some time over Christmas.

Anybody know where I can find a list of supported browsers for DWA 9.7

Does not seem to be in the release notes.

I do not have access to IBM Technical Support for this product.

I have looked through the DWA online doco but I cannot find a list of supported browsers for DWA 9.7. If anyone knows what they are please let me know where it is documented

I have also reproduced the problem with IE 11.657

The symptoms of this problem are strange. The DOORS database top level projects/folders are presented along with the error message in a banner:-

DWA An unrecognized error has occurred.ID CRCRW5074E

If the user clicks on any of the folders a popup appears asking the user to login again which then goes back to the same starting point. So the database content cannot be browsed.

Has anybody got DWA 9.7 successfully running on Windows 10?

It is not a supported platform but it used to work with 9.6.x

The bug described in the OP is accompanied by a DWA login dialog popping up every time even though the user is already logged in.

If the user logs in again it looks good until they try to browse the DOORS Database content folders when the error pops up again and the login dialog pops up again.

There does not seem to be much activity on the new forum yet so i thought I would try this here again.
