Diagbox error help need pls

Hi!
I don’t used my diagbox for several day’s and now when I start the DiagBox app I get this error:
«ACTI-DIAG application error
An internal communication error has occurred.»

The version of my diagbox is 7.57 I think.

I tried to disable the SIM in the start menu but no lucky.

I have to say nothing is updated, installed from the last time I used diagbox.

If somebody can help I would appreciate that.

Try to update for newer version and see.

I upgraded to 7.83 and the same error.

I found a link on the forum related to a google drv DiagBox 7.rar which is 2.5 gig I hope I can not kill my interface by installing this version of diagbox.

I have no clue what can cos this problem.

I’m new to DiagBox and have no much experience with this app.

My OS is Win7 x32 and the app and the interface worked fine until now.

Can somebody tell me what the hack means «Stream read error» when I start diagbox?

Or should I stop on 7.57 or under 7.57?

I read somewhere does it is not possible to use the app over 7.57.

Diagbox has no black listed interfaces.

Ur safe on all versions.

This drives me crazy, after update from 7.08 to 7.11 i got the same error. Even when i got forder with the update to 7.40.
No way to get ride it.
Any idea pls?

I tested how high can I update the software before I run into the mentioned problem.
The max. version I can use is 7.07.
If I go to 7.08 or any higher then I get the mentioned problem.

I can clearly remember does I used the version 7.57 before and it worked well.

Any idea what could be the problem?

So, now I have another issue.
Windows will not recognise my diagbox interface.
It says something like «unknown device» or so.

Look at the picture.

I tried on another pc too and no progress, the same error.

On XP machine it shows «USB Device Not Recognized. One of the USB device attached to this computer has malfunctioned. «

The tool is blinking 3x and the light stays on after the blinking process.

This happened when I was configuring a BSI on a Peugeot car.

I have no clue what can be now the problem.

Diagbox Install

Firstly I am hoping this is in the right section.

I have recently installed Diagbox 7.02 on a new laptop, everything works fine until the end where when I try to use the software I get the message: ‘An internal communication error has occurred’.

Has anyone came across this before?

I’ve used the Scary install version which I was given my a friend. I hope this makes sense.

Maybe you need to try and Introduce Yourself (HERE CLICK ME!)

i don’t know anyone that used VISTA with Diagbox or any other automotive software for that fact.

im not saying thats the problem but im sure it doesn’t help

Несмотря на наличие мультимарочных инструментов (дорогих), популярного ELM327 (дешёвого), а также «специализированных для PSA решений» вроде PSA-COM Bluetooth, наиболее функциональным остаётся адаптер Actia XS Evolution в паре с софтом Diagbox (в девичестве Lexia), китайский клон которого и был мной приобретён.

Привыкнув за время владения предыдущей машиной к безотказному и шустрому VCDS («Вася-диагност» в локализованной версии), я, мягко говоря, немало удивился. К сожалению, как и многий специальный софт, Diagbox представляет собой эталонный образец индусского быдлокодинга. Этот адский коктейль из Java, VC++, Firebird, и тыщи ini-файлов, щедро приправлен онлайн-сервисами и бесстыдно жрёт дисковое пространство, тормозит и глючит. Привязка к железу компа в комплекте, а как же иначе. Поэтому на нормальную работоспособную установку вылеченной от жадности версии пришлось убить немало времени, и получилось это далеко не с первой попытки. В инете есть образы виртуальных машин с уже развёрнутым и настроенным софтом, но из всех нормально заработал только один, да и тот тормозил так, что на изменение одного единственного параметра в телекодировании ушло без малого 40 минут, если учесть время на запуск и корректное завершение работы ВМ.

После установки той версии Diagbox, что шла на диске в комплекте с адаптером, на локальный комп (без ВМ), я получил работоспособную и почти не тормозящую англоязычную версию, но многие функции в ней не работали, и больше половины блоков автомобиля опознать она не могла. При этом ноут стал загружаться раза в три медленнее и при работе в случайные промежутки времени плеваться непонятными ошибками. Вычистив всю эту гадость (утилита DiagBox Uninstall and Cleaner), принял решение выполнить чистую установку на ВМ VMWare.

Помимо чистоты основной системы, использование ВМ даёт следующие два преимущества:
— перенос уже сконфигурированного и готового к работе образа на любой компьютер простым копированием папки с файлами, и
— возможность создания снимков состояния, что позволяет откатить ВМ на любую предыдущую стадию, если что-то пошло не так (например, слетела активация или произошёл косяк с очередным обновлением).
Далее кратко упомяну некоторые нюансы установки (больше чтоб самому не забыть, если вдруг придётся переустанавливать, но может кому из новичков пригодится).

Некоторые пользователи сообщают об успешной установке Diagbox на системы x64 и даже Windows 10. Тем не менее, у большинства это не работает. Я не стал испытывать судьбу и использовал Windows 7 Starter, установленную с чистого MSDN-образа. Установил обновления, которые предложил Windows Update, после чего выключил соответствующую службу. Также установил библиотеки .NET, VC++, VB.

Для успешной активации Diagbox, на этапе создания ВМ необходимо выбрать для неё IDE диск, и только IDE. Так же обязательно создадим сетевой адаптер NAT.

Для успешной активации (и, соответственно, проверки активации при запуске Diagbox), в ВМ должна всегда присутствовать активная (включенная) сетевая карта. Её MAC адрес не должен впоследствии изменяться, и лучше сразу явно указать его в настройках ВМ (а при переносе образа на другой комп — убедиться в его неизменности). Как известно, первые три байта MAC указывают на производителя сетевой карты. У VMWare это может быть 00-1C-14, например. Для полной уверенности, я выбрал MAC от реально существующего производителя карт (напр. 3COM: 00-01-02), хотя это вроде бы и не обязательно. Чтоб Diagbox при всём желании не попал в инет при включенной сети, в настройках карты устанавливаем вручную следующие параметры: адрес 192.168.1.1 (или любой другой из диапазонов частных адресов), маска по умолчанию, остальные параметры пустые; а протокол IPv6 отключаем вообще.

Инструкциям по установке необходимо следовать буквально и пошагово, иначе всё летит к чертям. Все файлы запускаются от имени администратора. После успешной установки каждого апдейта перезагрузиться, и только потом запускать следующий, иначе обновление завершится ошибкой. Не забываем создавать снимки состояния для отката на предыдущий шаг в случае чего (для экономии дискового пространства, впоследствии можно будет удалить лишние).

Утилита AWRoot_v7_Conf+Ativation_v8 после запуска будет задавать вопросы о перезаписи файлов (отвечаем Y) и о том, является ли объект файлом или каталогом (отвечаем F). Почему-то об этом не сказано в инструкциях.

Ряд пользователей упоминают неработоспособность кодирования блоков при выборе русскоязычного интерфейса ПО, поэтому я оставил английский язык. Владею им в достаточной степени; к тому же, перевод Diagbox на русский всё равно выполнен пьяным индусом.

Файлы для установки качал с рутрекера, поиск по «Diagbox«. Пароли для установки (от самого старого апдейта к самым новым): scary01, Maitresox01, Simple. После установки получил две ВМ с софтом версии 7.83 и 8.55; впрочем, абсолютно никакой разницы в работе между ними я не вижу.
Адаптер брал здесь, версия FullChip, доставка по России до двери (IML, ровно за 7 дней управились).
