1. Download Autoruns by pressing the Download Autoruns and Autorunsc option from Microsoft’s page.
2. Extract it, locate its executable file and run it as administrator.

The AutoIt error message can occur due to a number of causes. It can be due to a virus/malware, due to some improperly-working registry settings, pending windows updates, etc. Based on the causes, here are the various ways to fix this issue.

1. Run a Virus Scan

Previous experiences have revealed that the AutoIt error message is usually caused due to malware called Veronica. This malware has been found in a number of Windows PCs affected by the AutoIt error message.

Hence there is a very high possibility that the issue is again being caused by malware (probably Veronica) and its direct solution is to run a system malware scan.

For this, you can either rely on 3rd-party antivirus software or can also try the windows built-in malware scan. To run the Windows default malware scan on Windows 11:

1. Open the Windows Settings by using the Win + I key combination.
2. Navigate to Privacy & security > Windows Security.
   
3. Click on Open Windows Security.
   
4. On the Windows Security window, click on Virus & threat protection.
   
5. Click on Scan options located right below the Quick scan button. You can also run the Quick scan if you want, prior the full scan.
   
6. Select the Full Scan from the list and hit the Scan now button.
   

Let Windows scan the system and if there is any threat (virus/malware) found, treat it accordingly i.e. remove it and see if the issue is fixed or not.

2. Edit the Windows Registry

1. Search for the Registry Editor and open it. You can also enter regedit in the Run dialog box (Win + R) to open it.
   
2. Click on File and select Export… to export and backup the current registry setup. Select an accessible location to export the registry.
   
3. Once done, Navigate to the following path:
   ComputerHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun
   You can also directly copy and paste the path to the address bar of the window.
4. In the Run directory delete all the strings with the type REG_SZ.
   
5. Now navigate to the following path:
   ComputerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun
6. Again select all the strings with the type REG_SZ and delete them.
   

Once done, restart your PC and your AutoIt error should be gone by now. If it’s not, then it is advised to import the registry backup that we backed up by going to Edit > Import… in the Registry Editor window.

3. Reinstall AutoIt

The files of the currently installed AutoIt might be facing some corruption. In such a case, you should try uninstalling and then reinstalling the AutoIt on your Windows PC.

1. Open the Run dialog box by pressing Win + R on your keyboard.
2. Enter appwiz.cpl and hit OK.
   
3. This will open the Programs and Features window in Control Panel.
4. Here, select the AutoIt program and click on Uninstall.
   
5. Click on Yes to confirm the selection and uninstall it.
6. Restart your PC and then download AutoIt’s new and fresh installer setup file from here.
7. After downloading the file, open it and install AutoIt on your PC.
   

Once done, again restart your PC and see if the issue is resolved or not.

4. Reset Windows

Finally, if nothing works, try resetting your Windows PC. Resetting the PC will restore all the system files, programs, and settings to their default state. Here’s how to reset Windows 11.

1. Open Windows Settings by pressing Win + I.
2. Navigate to System > Recovery.
   
3. Click on Reset PC under the Recovery options section.
   
4. On the Reset this PC window, select an appropriate option. I would advise you to select the Keep my files option to prevent data loss.
   
5. Now, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the resetting process.

Entiendo Michaelalfaro3, puede ser un Malware, te recomiendo realizar los siguientes procesos para que podamos eliminarlo:

y revisa si hay alguna línea que apunte a Autolt le das clic derecho, eliminar.

Ese mensaje aparece cuando el sistema ha sido infectado por el malware AutoIT, y éste por un bug (fallo) en su código o bien porque el antivirus ha actuado contra él, no es capaz de realizar las funcionalidades maliciosas que intenta efectuar que suelen ser dos:

1 — un minado de criptomonedas utilizando todos los recursos del sistema de la víctima. Lo que hace que el sistema vaya excesivamente lento.

2 — algunas variantes de este malware, recopilan en un archivo de texto, todo lo que ha sido tecleado por el usuario desde que el sistema ha sido infectado.

Normalmente este malware AutoIT se distribuye a través de webs con enlaces de descargas de archivos torrent, o bien descargando algún software de ese tipo de páginas que al ejecutarlo suele incluir de manera silenciosa y oculta a el usuario.

Debe tener precaución, porque hay ciertas páginas que cuando se realiza un clic de descarga en un enlace de archivo torrent, se descarga un archivo con doble extensión o con una extensión distinta a la de .torrent.

Así pues, debe asegurarse de nunca descargar archivos de enlaces a torrents con doble extensión o con una única extensión como los que siguen : .torrent.zip, .zip, vbs, .vbc o vbe

La idea de utilizar Autoruns, no es la más ideal en este tipo de casos, porque aunque es cierto que eliminando esa entrada que provoca que aparezca ese mensaje de error de los elementos de Inicio del sistema, no es menos cierto que otra copia del mismo malware puede estar actuando en el sistema sin que aparezca ningún mensaje de error, lo que podría estar provocando lo que he indicado anteriormente: que el sistema vaya excesivamente lento y que todo lo que usted esté tecleando se esté guardando en un archivo.

Utilizar una herramienta de diagnóstico del sistema es lo más recomendable en este tipo de casos, porque así podemos obtener probablemente una mayor información sobre copias o restos del malware que puedan existir en el sistema.

Explicado lo anterior, necesitamos primero utilizar una herramienta de diagnóstico para ver si nos puede ofrecer alguna información para eliminar completamente. Si los resultados de la herramienta de diagnóstico no fueran concluyentes, tendríamos que realizar ciertas comprobaciones manualmente:

Por favor, siga el siguiente paso:

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool tiene dos versiones (32 bits o 64 bits). Descargue la versión correspondiente a la arquitectura del sistema que esté utilizando. Si le aparece alguna advertencia de que este programa es peligroso/dañino, no se preocupe que es totalmente seguro. En caso de que el propio sistema no le permita utilizarlo, deberá deshabilitar temporalmente todas las características de seguridad Windows Defender.

Ejecute Farbar Recovery Scan Tool: FRST.exe.
Es recomendable que la herramienta sea ejecutada desde el escritorio.

En el mensaje de la ventana de aceptar la exclusión de toda responsabilidad (disclaimer), debe hacer clic en el botón Sí

En la ventana principal, debe marcar (si no están marcadas ya por defecto) las casillas de verificación «Registro«, «Servicios«, «Controladores«, «Procesos» e «Internet«. Además, DEBE ASEGURARSE de marcar la casilla de verificación «Addition.txt» si no está marcada ya de manera predeterminada. Haga clic en el botón Analizar y espere a que concluya el análisis.

Se abrirán dos(2) archivos(Logs), Frst.txt y Addition.txt, estos quedaran grabados en la misma ubicación donde está ejecutando la herramienta.

Ahora con esos dos archivos logs tiene varias opciones:

1) Subir los dos archivos a Google Drive si dispone de una cuenta de correo de Gmail:

2) Subir los dos archivos a OneDrive si dispone de una cuenta de correo de Outlook/Hotmail:

3) Subir los dos archivos a sendspace haciendo clic en el botón Browse y luego en Upload:

4) Pegar el contenido completo de los dos archivos en la web de Pastebin, haciendo clic en el botón Create New Paste:

Vuelva a respondernos con los enlaces a esos dos archivos y los reviso.
