Motioninjoy Error Code:0X-1ffffdd8

Coming back to FFXI but on PC instead of console; at the moment, I’m trying to hook up a ps3 dualshock 3 sixaxis controller. I’ve followed said instructions but I end up with this after I load the driver:

SUCCESS:Set Selected Device.

SUCCESS:Get Device Install Params.

SUCCESS:Set Device Install Params.

SUCCESS:Building Driver Info List.

ERROR:Call Class Installer fail.. Error code:0X-1ffffdd8

If anyone help me resolve this issue, that would be great

You need to disable the Microsoft Digital Signature which prevents motion joy from being used (because it has no signature):

This can be done by:
— Restarting your computer
— Click f2 and you should see an option to go to advance boot which should be f8.
— Under that menu ,you will see an option to disable digital signatures.
— Restart you computer and reinstall your Bluetooth adapter and while its installing open motion joy and it should show.
— Make sure you open motion joy while the driver is installing because that is the only way I got mines to work.

I tried motioninjoy with Win7 64bit. it caused the BSOD on my brand new PC ( seriously it was less than a week old. ). After having to do a recovery to get my OS back, I’m pretty leery about trying it out again. It sounds like if you unplug the controller while the driver is running it causes the BSOD, but still. no thanks.

On WinXP I use ps3sixaxis_en and it’s always worked flawlessly. Too bad it’s 32bit onry.

I had MIJ BSOD myself twice so far because my usb unplugged/plugged in. 0x0000010d on mine. I’ve just been very careful and have secured the plug so it won’t come out very easily. But I dislike motioninjoy.

I considered trying out Maiev’s suggestion but I cannot get motioninjoy to uninstall all the way. Even after removing the drivers in the DS3 tool, the green check saying drivers are installed is still there. And when I uninstall the DS3 tool, delete all related files, remove every registry entry related to VID_54C, windows still manages to find the drivers and reinstall them.

And since I can’t get it to install the default drivers, I can’t get XInput to work.

So after many tries and lots of messing around I was finally able to get MIJ uninstalled(at least I think as it’s not f’ing with anything as far as I can tell) and I was able to install this program but the trigger buttons, r2 and l2, won’t register as a button press in FFXI. How were you able to get that working?

I’ve not been able to find a config or anything to change button mappings other than reversing axis. Instructions worked well enough once I got MIJ out of the way but there isn’t much documentation.

I didn’t have to go in the registry when I played with it. They do make all sorts of controller to USB adapters, I currently have classic controller, and ps2 adapters. I guess I could try to find a wireless classic controller one, that’d be cool. In theory one of the old wireless ps2 controllers should work in the adapater for it, but whether or not it was made well enough to translate properly (or have enough juice) idk, I’d have to try.

I bought this controller and hooked it up on Win7 64bit system. Works great.

I tried the Motionjoy, Xpadder, microsoft to try to get the PS3 controller to work. Never could and didn’t like Motionjoy ability to snoop through my PC.

I use to own a PS1/PS2/to USB PC adapter by Dream Gear, that stopped working after 5-6 years, but they they don’t make them any more.
There’s one called Dual Playstation / Playstation 2 to PC USB Controller Adapter

So far the Snakebyte controller has been solid, I have used all kinds of Logitech controllers[F310, F510, Cordless RumblePad 2]. After 1-2 years the left D pad loses its performance and I rely on Macros big time.

I did check the option for «remove driver after uninstalling» when I removed the entry in the device manager. I can’t remember the entry name though ^^; but it was under a microsoft entry and it was the only one out of all the entries that would give me an option to remove.

My old ps2 adapter died, and honestly never worked too well once I switched to win7. It was an old radioshack converter that’s no longer sold. I like my ps3 controller and the wireless is nice and I’d really prefer to use it but I may look at other options eventually.

Yeah it’s a pain to get it to work. To get l2/r2 working properly you need proper direct input enumeration on an xinput device, something even M$ the creators of the standards don’t do. We’d be fine if SE ever did create x-input support for XI (directx 9.0 iirc) XI is on 8.1

the only thing I’ve gotten to work is motioninjoy, or an adapter. there is an offline patch for motioninjoy which would then be possible to block it from phoning home. I really wish I could code, as I’d create something as there’s a severe lack of a good fix. I can try to talk to a guy I know about it again, maybe if I paid him.

When i try to install the DS3 driver from Motioninjoy, it gives me this error

Thank you for the link! It says though that you have to use MotionInJoy once in order to get the DS3 running and then use better DS3 instead of DS3 tool!

The problem is that MIJ installs that tool by default. I’ve seen servers on the internet get compromised in under 15 minutes. If you so much as breathe on that DS3 program and it gets online, it can immediately download a trojan and execute before you know it. That’s even assuming you KNOW to do that. most people using MIJ use that terrible horrible thing without understanding why.

Again why expose yourself to a potential trojan, when you can use SCPDriver which is open source and free of viruses instead. You have a much much better option now (where as in the past theer really wasnt an option to speak of). which is why you should avoid using MiJ in favor of those other less terrible options

Если у вас появилась такая ошибка при скачивании драйверов, то у вас включена проверка не подписанных драйверов, нам нужно её отключить, для этого заходим в настройки виндовс «Все параметры» > Обновление и безопасность > Восстановление > Пункт «Особые варианты загрузки» > перезагрузить сейчас > Диагностика > Дополнительные параметры > Параметры загрузки > Перезагрузить > в появившемся меню нажать F7, после чего драйвера скачаются без проблем.

this isn’t true anymore, they have had driver signing for some time.

MitioninJoy is a pain in the ***, I only got BT working once. I use a ps2 controller via an adapter now, as I got tired of fiddling with adware.

I used to unplug with it going all the time, never had that issue. Not to mention while a driver error could cause a BSOD the liklihood of causing it to corrupt your filesystem that badly is very rare, I’d say it was more than likely something else.

They do have a hack for it somewhere (I’d have to look) to where you can have it work «offline» so you could effectively block the program’s web access, I don’t know of a program that does all it can do though, unfortunately.

The instructions are very vague on this. It says it’s suppose to do it when you «Plug it in» but I’ve not found that to be the case. It’s possible my blue tooth adapter isn’t supported though, I know it isn’t in MIJ. I didn’t care enough to work on that part since my trigger buttons aren’t working.

by default it treats l2/r2 as an axis, I’m certain it’s possible to read the raw data and have it forward it. xpadder may be able to, not sure. I know it can map a lot of things, I don’t know if it can map certain points on an axis to a particular keyboard command.

I’ve seen some other programs that claim to do it, but I couldn’t get any to work, as XI is complicated with it being POL and XI. and none of them were free (played with some trials).

Silly pressure sensitive buttons.

Source code is included in his application, so it wouldn’t be too hard for someone who knows what they are doing to take it and run with it if it’s possible.

Как сменить MAC контроллера из под MacOS способ
Пользователям GNU /Linux вот такой способ
1. Скачайте и установите SixaxisPairTool (версия 0.3.0), если есть проблемы с работоспособностью -ставим версию 0.1 скачать Запустите его и подключите контроллер к компьютеру USB-шнурком. После автоматической установки драйвера высветится MAC-адрес в формате xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
2. Теперь запустите Sixaxis Controller на телефоне.
Нажмите на Start. Программа запросит рут права и внизу вы увидите Local Bluetooth Address, тоже в формате xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx — впишите его в SixaxisPairTool на компьютере, в поле Change Master и нажмите Update. Потом отключите контроллер от компьютера.
3. Включите контроллер кнопкой PS (круглая посередине). Если на контроллере горит одна лампочка — все получилось! :clap:
Если пишет Connection Failed — ваше устройство не поддерживается 🙁
4. Теперь осталось только нажать Change Input Method в программе и выбрать Sixaxis Controller.
Eсли вы хотите джойстик потом снова подключать к приставке, достаточно будет подключить его шнуром к PS3 и включить сначала приставку потом геймпад, они схватятся сами.

You need to disable the Microsoft Digital Signature which prevents motion joy from being used (because it has no signature):

And since I can’t get it to install the default drivers, I can’t get XInput to work.

you have to delete the driver off the system entirely, either by deleting the .sys file, or if device manager allows it «remove driver after uninstalling» or w/e it says.

I tried the Motionjoy, Xpadder, microsoft to try to get the PS3 controller to work. Never could and didn’t like Motionjoy ability to snoop through my PC.

XInput works wonderfully aside from the lack of triggers ; ; it really makes it impossible for me to play.

Запускаю, несколько секунд черный экран и Вот такая ошибка

Windows 10 (х64), обновлял до 8.1 (х64). Все та же ошибка
Разрешение менял, кэш проверял.
Видеокарта GeForce GTX 780.
Абсолютно все драйвера на видеокарту обновлял. Что могло произойти с ней?
Даже старые игры, не связанные со стимом жутко тормозят.
Все было хорошо месяца 3 назад, после — начала появляться такая ошибка. Подскажите, что с видеокартой?

2. Где лежит стим и игра (указать полный адрес)? Например у меня лежит стим и игра в одном локальном диске D и без русских кириллицей:
Стим — D:Program FilesSteam
Игра — D:Program FilesSteamSteamAppscommonCounter-Strike Global Offensive
А у тебя где?

3. Добавил папки стим и игры в исключения антивируса? Если игры и стим в одном локальном диске D, то просто добавить только одну папку D:Program FilesSteam в исключения антивируса и всё.

5. Убрал лишние через «Установить параметры запуска»? Выбери игру Counter-Strike: Global Offensive в библиотеке и кликай вторую кнопку мыши, выбери «Свойства», далее выбери закладки «Общие», нажать кнопку «Установить параметры запуска».

6. Отключил «Инструментарий управления Windows» в руководстве? Для опытных пользователей.

7. Менял настройки графики под твою видеокарту? Чтобы стабильная игра и больше не вылетает.

9. Если у вас через 2-5 сек вылетает из CS:GO (Во время запуска чёрный экран и вылетает на рабочем столе)? Попробуй удалить файл d3d9.dll находится в директорию . SteamSteamAppscommonCounter-Strike Global Offensivebin и всё.

10. У вас стоит SweetFX? Если да, попробуй снёс SweetFX и проверить кэш. Короче SweetFX RIP.

Если 100% не помогло с инструкцией, тогда устанавливать Windows 7 SP1 x64 (должен быть включен DEP по умолчанию), потом установить свежие драйверы для мать и видеокарты, затем установить программы (Antivirus, ICQ, Torrent, Skype, Steam, Origin, браузеры и другие) и забудь.

Не могу установить драйвер для Геймпада от PS3

Этот метод один из простых и не требует особых навыков. Но к минусу можно отнести то что подключение осуществляется через USB.
1) Скачиваем архив, распаковываем
2) Производим установку
3) Подключаем джойстик SIXAXIS к компьютеру через USB кабель.
4) Запускаем программу SixaxisDriver, нажимаем кнопу Load Driver
5) Все готово! Джойстик определится у вас как стандартное USB HID устройство.
В итоге Геймпад только стал заряжаться. Затем в комментах я опробовал следующий способ:
1. Итак, первым делом перезагружаем компьютер и после загрузке BIOS непрерывно клацаем клавишу F8, пока не попадем в загрузочное меню, там отключаем проверку цифровой подписи windows 7

2. Подключаем джойстик через mini-USB и ждем пока тупой Win7 установит свои неработающие драйвера.

3. После этого заходим в Пуск -> Устройства и принтеры, теперь мы видим наш джойстик, нажимаем на нем ПКМ и выбираем «Свойства» -> выбираем в окне вкладку «Оборудование» (видим там 2 пункта, отмечаем один из них и нажимаем на кнопку свойства -> в открывшемся окне переходим на вкладку сведения, там мы видим окно «Описание устройства» нажимаем на него и выбираем «ИД оборудования», там мы видим два значения начинающиеся с USB. запоминаем цифры которые там обозначены. (OMG. )

Изменение даты

Перед тем, как удалить MotioninJoy, мы можем проверить наличие ошибки, касающейся даты на компьютере. Это связано с тем, что использование сертификата Motioninjoy истекает к 2014 году.

Откройте приложение Run, нажав Windows + R
В диалоговом окне введите « cmd ». Должна появиться панель управления.
В панели управления введите « date ». Панель управления сообщит вам текущую дату и даст возможность ее изменить.

Измените дату на 2014 г. и попробуйте снова запустить программу. Если это не решит проблему, попробуйте изменить его на 2013 год. Если это обеспечивает бесперебойную работу приложения, нет необходимости выполнять шаги, указанные ниже.

Удаление MotioninJoy

Прежде чем мы сможем решить возникшую проблему, мы должны удалить Motioninjoy.

Введите Windows + R , чтобы открыть приложение “Выполнить”. В диалоговом окне введите « панель управления ». Откроется окно панели управления.

В панели управления выберите « Удалить программу » в разделе «Программы».

Появится список. Выберите «Motioninjoy present» и щелкните его правой кнопкой мыши. Вам будет предложено удалить программу.
Выберите Удалить и нажмите Далее на всех этапах, чтобы завершить процесс.

Обновите программное обеспечение контроллера Xbox 360 отсюда. Вы увидите вариант Windows 7 (32-разрядная версия) и Windows 7 (64-разрядная версия). Просто выберите драйвер в соответствии со спецификацией вашего компьютера, выбрав 32-разрядный или 64-разрядный.

Перед продолжением убедитесь, что на вашем компьютере установлены Microsoft .NET 4.0 и Visual C 2013.

Новая установка

Поскольку мы удалили motioninjoy, мы можем продолжить новую установку.

Подключите Bluetooth-ключ к USB-порту и дождитесь, пока Windows установит необходимы драйверы по умолчанию.
Распакуйте архив.
Теперь вам нужно будет создать каталог, из которого вы хотите запускать службу. Его не должно быть ни во внешнем хранилище, ни в каком-либо сетевом расположении.
Скопируйте содержимое ScpServer bin в только что созданный каталог.
Нажмите на установку, и когда установка будет завершена, вы можете выйти.
