- Another possible solution is to Stop the IP helper service on Windows. It may be messing with your network settings stopping the game from connecting to the server. It’s another solution that’s been proven to work for quite a few users. Here is how you achieve it.
- Press Windows + R and type services.msc
- Locate IP Helper, right-click, and select Stop
- You can also try using a VPN to play the game. A user has reported that the problem does not appear after you use a VPN. We suggest that you try ExpressVPN.
- Finally, if nothing has worked, you may have to fort forward. You may refer to this post to port forward.

I am no expert, but from what I have found online and experimenting, this error occurs between how the game connects to your internet. More specifically, the «port 3074 for type UDP» your router associates with the device you’re attempting to play on (Shoutout u/UnsureAssurance for their comment on another thread)
How do I fix it?

What worked for me at first was resetting my router. (The process is different for every router, but usually involves holding the reset button on the back for x amount of time) This seems to be a TEMPORARY fix as I tend to have to restart it almost every day.

Recently I discovered that using a VPN seems to circumvent the issue as well. I tested this using the free version of Windscribe. This also seems to be a SEMI-TEMPORARY solution. The free version has a limit of 2GB of usage per month and 10GB if you register your email (After a couple hours of playing the campaign and Zombies solo, I used .2 GB). The paid version (Or any other VPN of your choice) will likely be a more PERMANENT solution.

In the same vain as using a VPN, you could also use a mobile hotspot. Some reddit users have reported this to be their solution. Just be aware that this game can eat your data FAST.

If these solutions didn’t work, I recommend learning how to port-forward. I personally haven’t tried it, but from what I’ve researched, it SHOULD work. If you are young and/or inexperienced, please get an adult that is tech savvy to assist you.
