Problem:
When attempting to run Image for DOS, a message similar to the following appears:
Causeway Error 09: Unrecoverable Exception. Program Terminated.
Cause:
This problem can be caused by any of the following conditions:
- One or more partitions on the system contain file system corruption.
- The Image for DOS program files are corrupted.
- You are using Image for DOS on a Lenovo notebook.
Solution:
Please carry out the following steps to correct this issue:
Resolving a Problem with a Corrupt File System
Run ScanDisk (Windows 9x / Me) or CHKDSK /F (Windows NT / 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista, Windows 7/8.x/10) on each partition, including the source and target partitions for any image operations you are attempting to carry out. Note: Using chkdsk in Vista or Windows 7/8.x/10 will require that the Command Prompt be run as an administrator.
If the problem remains, recreate your Image for DOS boot media, as explained below.
Replacing a Corrupt Image for DOS Program File
Create a new Image for DOS boot disc or diskette.
- If you are using a CD/DVD disc for the Image for DOS boot media, try using a different disc.
- If you are using a floppy diskette for the Image for DOS boot media, do a complete format on the floppy diskette first to help ensure that the diskette is reliable. Use the FORMAT A: /U command when performing the format of the floppy diskette.

This problem has been traced to an issue with the NIC driver on your computer. Visit www.lenovo.com and download the correct DOS NIC driver for your machine model.

(16) а FILES=90 в config.nt Можно попробовать и больше FILES=200 то (1) Например с такого бока: Кроме 1С, ничего не знаю. БЕСТ достался в наследство. Надо его пристрелить, но аккуратно, снайперски, чтоб заложники не пострадали. |

Hi, group!
Is it possible, that Giga-byte motherboard GA-8I865GVMK is
incompatible with MS-DOS applications?
I install WindowsXP, and it works fine. But I can’t install Win98,
Win95, even Win3.1 on the blank hard disk. Installation process stops
at the very beginning. Win3.1 Setup can’n start driver VGA. For Win9x
there are no bootlogs at all.
Moreover, Partition Magic boot disk (floppy) doesn’t work too:
CauseWay Error 09: Unrecoverable internal exception, program
terminated.
Exception:0D, Error code:0000
Can’t find what this means 
Does it matter, that total conventional memory — 638K in DOS?
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Maybe troubles with SATA hard disk drive?
Because, I think MS-DOS can’t handle this type
of HDD, but only IDE drive.

In addition: I used only IDE drives, changed onboard VGA card for old
PCI VGA card, turned off all possible devices and functions in BIOS,
but Partition Magic boot disk (floppy and CD) nevertheless doesn’t
work. The same incomprehensible error message.

Ни когда не работал с Бэстом и им подобным системам. Так вот проблема в следующим при входе появляется первая менюшка далее при попытке войти в любое подменю прокручивается следующий текст:

Потом проскакивает еще строчка с кодом ошибки ее просмотреть не успеваю, но кажется что там следующая строчка:

Ося какая? Попробуй подкорректировать autoexec.nt и config.nt , поставь там files=250, и памяти поболе попробуй выделить.

Значится ОС Windows 98.
БЭСТ 4
files и еще один параметр менял, результатов не дало.
Вообщем я склоняюсь к мысли что все дело что эта версия БЭСТа ориентирована на компьютер послабее. Такую же информацию я нашел в сети.
Думаю это подтверждается тем что если сразу после нажатия менюхи и кнопки pause (в нужный момент) прога не вываливается из менюхи обратно, а входит в меню и нормально работает. (у меня пол дня ушло чтоб это обнаружить 
)
Скачал один замедлитель ЦП но он оказался кривоватым. Какие хорошие замедлялки можете посоветтовать?

из трех замедлителей худо бедно заработал один slowcpu, но при нем вход в менюшку может продолжаться нинут 5-10 (при нормальном режиме на старом входил около 1-2 минут) Но если запустить 2 БЭСТ (с замедлителем) то одна из запущеных входит в менюшку быстро за 1-2 минут. Но ведь это совсем через Ж*** что можно еще придумать?
