У меня подобная ошибка была только при проведении работ на серверах самими разработчиками. Сейчас таких работ не ведется.

Try these fixes:
- Set Steam to run as an Administrator (Right-click the Steam shortcut > Properties > Compatibility > Select ‘Run this program as an administrator’).
- Make an exception for the Steam folder in your Anti-Virus program. (e.g. instructions for Avast users are here [www.getavast.net] )
- Add this site as an exception to any apps blocking HTML pages: thereafter.herokuapp.com (e.g. instructions for Malwarebytes users are here [www.malwarebytes.org] )
Thanks, but no effect, did differently disabled spider gate and start the game, then turned and ran spider gate, the site added to the exceptions.

This sounds like there is an issue with connecting to the main servers. How is your internet connection? Do you meet the minimum requirements found in the Store page?

Yes I definitely meet the min requirements (built this little beast myself :))
Internet connection very good, manage to play mmorpgs easily.
Intel core i5, 3.3Ghz
8GB RAM
Nvidea 9800 GT
Storage, 3 hard disks in total lol

Are you able to join the main menu at all? If not, my first thought is that your game client might not be completely updated. You can check by right-clicking Creativerse in your Steam library, then choosing ‘Properties’ > click the ‘Local Files’ tab > and check the ‘Current Content BuildID’ number at the bottom — it should be 807068 (as of today, 8/11/15). If your number is different, try clicking ‘Verify Integrity of Game Cache’ on that same menu, or failing that, exit Steam completely then re-join. If THAT doesn’t trigger an update, you might try to delete and reinstall the game.
If you CAN join the main menu, but just can’t join any worlds, is it possible you have a new (or updated) anti-virus or firewall program that’s blocking communication with the servers? Finally, do I remember correctly that you’re playing from Germany or Austria? My apologies if I’m wrong, but if so: The devs recently located a server in Germany for our European players. Once you get up and running, feel free to post the name of your existing worlds to this thread and the devs will be happy to move them over to the German server: http://steamcommunity.com/app/280790/discussions/0/517142253864944540/
Note: you can now set your location in your player profile so that any new worlds will also be located correctly.

Hello reddit!
I’ve bought this game a few days ago and have not been able to get this game to run. I’ve tried countless things and so far the main bugs&issues forum on steam seems to not provide a solution to my problem. There’s a bunch of solutions offered but none of those worked in my case. Here is a list of things i’ve tried and I hope some of you tech sevvy people out there might give additional information into this particularly annoying issue.

Tried different anti virus programs, Avast and Norton. Uninstalled both as well to see if that made a difference. It did not.

Removed a particular windows update that could interfere with MSI installations.

Relogged Steam.

Tried to start it as administrator.

Installed 32 bit C++ Redistributable.

Tracked down the right .dll MSVCR120.dll and put it in the game folder, did not change anything.

Tried changing my download location from Netherlands to USA but no luck.

Verified Integrity of game cache

Reinstalled game
-
Allowed Exceptions through firewall

Fowarded the ports that are mentioned in the bugs&issues forum.

Installed .net framework.

Countless reboots.

Tried connecting through a VPN in USA and Germany and no luck either.

Cleaned up registry but to no avail.
