Runtime errors happen without warning. The error message can come up the screen anytime DAEMON Tools is run. In fact, the error message or some other dialogue box can come up again and again if not addressed early on.
There may be instances of files deletion or new files appearing. Though this symptom is largely due to virus infection, it can be attributed as a symptom for runtime error, as virus infection is one of the causes for runtime error. User may also experience a sudden drop in internet connection speed, yet again, this is not always the case.

Method 1 — Close Conflicting Programs
When you get a runtime error, keep in mind that it is happening due to programs that are conflicting with each other. The first thing you can do to resolve the problem is to stop these conflicting programs.
- Open Task Manager by clicking Ctrl-Alt-Del at the same time. This will let you see the list of programs currently running.
- Go to the Processes tab and stop the programs one by one by highlighting each program and clicking the End Process buttom.
- You will need to observe if the error message will reoccur each time you stop a process.
- Once you get to identify which program is causing the error, you may go ahead with the next troubleshooting step, reinstalling the application.
Method 2 — Update / Reinstall Conflicting Programs
Using Control Panel
- For Windows 7, click the Start Button, then click Control panel, then Uninstall a program
- For Windows 8, click the Start Button, then scroll down and click More Settings, then click Control panel > Uninstall a program.
- For Windows 10, just type Control Panel on the search box and click the result, then click Uninstall a program
- Once inside Programs and Features, click the problem program and click Update or Uninstall.
- If you chose to update, then you will just need to follow the prompt to complete the process, however if you chose to Uninstall, you will follow the prompt to uninstall and then re-download or use the application’s installation disk to reinstall the program.
Using Other Methods
- For Windows 7, you may find the list of all installed programs when you click Start and scroll your mouse over the list that appear on the tab. You may see on that list utility for uninstalling the program. You may go ahead and uninstall using utilities available in this tab.
- For Windows 10, you may click Start, then Settings, then choose Apps.
- Scroll down to see the list of Apps and features installed in your computer.
- Click the Program which is causing the runtime error, then you may choose to uninstall or click Advanced options to reset the application.
Method 3 — Update your Virus protection program or download and install the latest Windows Update
Virus infection causing runtime error on your computer must immediately be prevented, quarantined or deleted. Make sure you update your virus program and run a thorough scan of the computer or, run Windows update so you can get the latest virus definition and fix.
Method 4 — Re-install Runtime Libraries
You might be getting the error because of an update, like the MS Visual C++ package which might not be installed properly or completely. What you can do then is to uninstall the current package and install a fresh copy.
- Uninstall the package by going to Programs and Features, find and highlight the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package.
- Click Uninstall on top of the list, and when it is done, reboot your computer.
- Download the latest redistributable package from Microsoft then install it.
Method 5 — Run Disk Cleanup
You might also be experiencing runtime error because of a very low free space on your computer.
- You should consider backing up your files and freeing up space on your hard drive
- You can also clear your cache and reboot your computer
- You can also run Disk Cleanup, open your explorer window and right click your main directory (this is usually C: )
- Click Properties and then click Disk Cleanup
Method 6 — Reinstall Your Graphics Driver
If the error is related to a bad graphics driver, then you may do the following:
- Open your Device Manager, locate the graphics driver
- Right click the video card driver then click uninstall, then restart your computer
Method 7 — IE related Runtime Error
If the error you are getting is related to the Internet Explorer, you may do the following:
- Reset your browser.
- For Windows 7, you may click Start, go to Control Panel, then click Internet Options on the left side. Then you can click Advanced tab then click the Reset button.
- For Windows 8 and 10, you may click search and type Internet Options, then go to Advanced tab and click Reset.
- Disable script debugging and error notifications.
- On the same Internet Options window, you may go to Advanced tab and look for Disable script debugging
- Put a check mark on the radio button
- At the same time, uncheck the «Display a Notification about every Script Error» item and then click Apply and OK, then reboot your computer.
If these quick fixes do not work, you can always backup files and run repair reinstall on your computer. However, you can do that later when the solutions listed here did not do the job.

Точно все ключи в реестре были удалены?
Если нет полной уверенности, то:
1. идем в «Пуск -> Выполнить» пишем «Regedit» жмем на enter
2. делаем резервную копию реестра, нажимая «Файл -> Экспорт»
3. затем нажимаем на клавиатуре Ctrl+F и вводим «Daemon Tools» жмем Enter
4. Выделяем все ключи, которые будут найдены по данному критерию и удаляем.

вот я так делаю как вы сказали у меня высветилось что поиск в реестре завершен и ничего не высветилось(((правда в столбик выстроились такие названия HKEY CLASSES ROOT,HKEY CURRENT USER,HKEY LOCAL MACHIN,HKEY USERS,HKEY CURRENT CONFIG вот куда заходить и че удалять??

Открываем «Пуск -> Программы -> Стандартные -> Служебное -> Восстановление системы», затем следуем инструкциям мастера, правда восстановление системы это довольно долгий процесс и его я рекомендовал бы делать в последнюю очередь.

a) Скачайте и установите программу
Revo Uninstaller
b) Запускаем это приложение и ждем пока оно не найдет все программы, которые были инсталлированы на вашем ПК. Затем находим значок DAEMON Tools и дважды кликаем по нему. Далее нажимаем на «расширенная деинсталяция» в самом низу (или как-то так) и следуем инструкциям Revo Uninstaller по удалению этой программы. При этом после деинсталяции она находит еще какие-то файлы, после чего нужно нажать «выбрать все» —> «удалить», жмем далее… (безусловно это нужно делать, если еще какие-либо файлы будут найдены).
с) Перезагружаем компьютер, скачиваем самую последнюю версию DAEMON Tools и устанавливаем ее.

Вы наверное его уже удалили, а если и нет, то все равно, попробуйте установить его заново в ту же папку у удалите повторно, но с помощью утилиты Revo Uninstaller.

Еще встречал при ошибках с этой прогой советы удалять вручную следующее:
1.Удалить файлы dхххbus.sys и dхххprt.sys (ххх-версия проги) из папки
C:windowssystem32
2.Удалить файлы sptd.sys и spdt…sys (если они есть) из папки
C:windowssystem32drivers
3.Удалить временную установочную папку daemon’а из папки
C:windowsdownloaded installations
Хотя я бы делал резервные копии этих файлов перед удалением, на всякий пожарный.
P.S. Это все не пробовал делать, т.к. программой DAEMON Tools уже давно не пользуюсь.

Сейчас вообще ни чем, поскольку в игры нету времени играть, кроме как на смартфоне с ОС андроид, где-нибудь в дороге или еще где-то, когда нужно просто время убить иногда могу побаловаться.

Думаю, тут проблема однозначно с реестром, лучше всего тогда попробовать сделать восстановление системы.

Видимо, да, походу конфликт какой-то или сбой в реестре из-за чего виртуальные диски и не работают. Еще можно попробовать скачать какую-нибудь утилиту для чистки реестра и исправления ошибок и пропробовать с ее помощью решить проблему.

- Disk emulation has pretty much always been synonymous with Daemon Tools.
- Older versions however became incompatible with Windows. We deal with those issues and some other common ones in this guide.

When Windows 10 was initially released, it created some sort of a gap between Microsoft’s operating systems. One of the most visible differences was the list of compatible apps and software.
Many older programs, that worked well on Windows 7 or older versions of the system, simply didn’t work in Windows 10. Years later, various updates to the OS improved this situation, though.
These compatibility differences can cause a lot of problems for users switching from one version of Windows to another. Incompatible programs usually do more damage to the system, than just not working.
They can prevent some Windows 10 features from working, conflict with other software or even cause installation fails of updates.
One of the most troublesome programs in Windows 10 is the world’s most popular image-mounting tool, Daemon Tools.
If you are running one of the latest Windows 10 versions, you definitely need to have at least version 5.0.1 of Daemon Tools installed for maximum compatibility.
If you’re running an outdated operating system, such as Windows 10 A, Daemon Tools version 4.47 or later is actually compatible and users should have no problems.
However, many users are still running older versions of Daemon Tools, and they’re experiencing very serious and annoying issues.
Namely, an outdated version of Daemon Tools can prevent you from installing updates, or even upgrading to Windows 10.
But what’s even a bigger problem is that users are not able to uninstall Daemon Tools in some cases, which pretty much leaves their hands tied.
Here’s what one user said on Microsoft’s forums, and a lot of people confirmed they have the same problem:
I have DAEMON tools on my computer and I just installed the updates on my OS. DAEMON tools worked fine before the update but now I get a bubble saying it won’t work. If I open My Computer where the virtual drives used to be listed it gives me the same error, “does not work on this version of windows click here to learn more”. The OS also blocks the uninstall app, so virtual drives are stuck installed on the PC.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools with uninstaller software
Unfortunately, there’s no confirmed solution to work for everyone. Other users have reported that the Daemon Tools engine isn’t loaded.
The best solution involves uninstalling Daemon Tools using uninstaller software.
Some PC issues are hard to tackle, especially when it comes to corrupted repositories or missing Windows files. If you are having troubles fixing an error, your system may be partially broken.
We recommend installing Restoro, a tool that will scan your machine and identify what the fault is.

A professional removal tool allows you to clean your system from bloatware and other software. It’s more powerful than Windows 10’s default uninstalling tool, so you can give it a try.
Third-party uninstallers are capable of going past the incompatibilities between the older software that is installed and Windows.
They are also better suited to identify any software leftovers and perform a deeper and more exhaustive uninstall process and keep track of those changes. When you remove that piece of software, this kind of tool will know exactly what other files are no longer needed.
This way, the removal process is more thorough.
2. Manually run uninsat.exe
Another solution for uninstalling Daemon Tools from your computer is running the uninsat.exe command from the Daemon Tools folder. You can find this command in Daemon Tool’s installation directory.
If the solutions listed above don’t get the job done, you can try updating Daemon Tools to its latest version, and then uninstall it.
That way, you’ll replace an incompatible version of the software with a compatible one, and the problem could be solved. You can download the latest version of Daemon Tools from its official website.
Microsoft is probably aware of this problem, because users have been reporting it since last year, but the company hasn’t released any fix yet. So, users are forced to solve the issue on their own.
If you plan to install Daemon Tools on your Windows 10 computer, please make sure that you’re installing the latest version of the software.
As you can see, an outdated version of Daemon Tools can get you into trouble, so it’s better to avoid it.
3. Daemon Tools installation issues
Usually, the errors involve Daemon Tools not installing, or the system failing to initialize Daemon Tools installer. This also applies to the Daemon Tools Lite installer not working as well as the Pro version.
There are two things that you can do. First, make sure the .exe is downloaded from the official website and contains the latest version possible.
Secondly, make sure your .NET framework is updated accordingly. Visit the Microsoft .NET download page to make sure you have the latest version on your computer before trying to install Daemon Tools.
4. Daemon Tools corresponding cue file not found
- Go to the folder which contains the .cue file that issues this error.
- In that folder, you should see a .bin file and a .cue file. Note the name of the .bin file.
- Right-click on the .cue file and open with Notepad.
- Search for the .bin section in Notepad and you should see a different name. Replace it with the one from step 2.
- Save the changes and try again.
A very common error that is easily fixed. All you need to do is in the steps outlined above.

проблема собсно в том что ни одна из опробованных мной виртуалок работать не захотела, а пробовал я:
DaemonTools разных версий
и Alcohol вродь как самый новый)
DaemonTools сначала работал, правда старый версии 3.47…потом поставил поновее (4.08
вроде) который стал подвешивать весь комп при загрузке программы ???…..то же происходит и при запуске алкоголя…(он правда еще 1 раз ошибку выдал:
«Initialization error 7. This program requires at least Windows 2000 with SPTD 1.28 or higer. Kernel debugger must be deactivated»)
после чего решил поставить обратно работавшую версию D-Tools 3.47 …но получил в ответ ошибко:
«Some driver has invalid name or conflicts with other file or service in system. Please choose other driver names or make shure you have rebooted after removal of software using same names»
…собсно что делать

Ну так тут же написано что надо SPTD драйвер поставить.
Ставь SPTD http://forum.elsite.ru/Downloads/utils/SPTDinst-v150-x86.exe , а потом Daemon Tools.
поставил..хотя и так стоял версии 1.48…не помогло
так же пробовал ставить Daemon Tools Pro 10…все так же, кроме того, что на него ругаецо NOD.. и он не подвисает, но и не работает… и чего-то ругаецо насчет kernel mode?(это кстати что вобще такое)

еще кстати у D-Tools не хочет работать uninstal…пишет:»Setup is unable to validate installation»

последний DAEMON Tools Pro 4.10.0215 пишет при запуске «Unable to add adapter. Unable to open file in kernel mode»
отсюда вопрос: что же такое kernel mode и с чем его едят как его выключить?

Прочитал твою тему по борьбе с DaemonTools.
Ну давай все по порядку.
У меня также стоит DaemonTools только версии 347.
Ты конечно уже «наэкспериментировался» — тем легче тебе будет понять. В свое время я тоже с ним поборолся и вот что выявил. При установке DaemonTools (я говорю про 347) ставит еще и sys драйверы в папку WINDOWSSYSTEM32drivers

d347prt.sys
Как я это узнал — внимательно посмотри на рисунок. Это я сделал снимок после включения программы procexp.exe. Определил когда установил его в 1 раз. Потом когда переустанавливал WINDOWS я снова установил его. Пользовался долго, но как то устанавил одну программу (сейчас уже и не помню названия) — попросила загрузить диск. И вот тут он слетел. Деинсталировал, но устанавливаться он не хотел ни в какую. Я и предпринял те действия, которые возможно помогут и тебе. Почему пишу возможно — ты уже «наустанавливался» и DaemonTools 347 и DaemonTools 4 и Alcohol. DaemonTools 4 и Alcohol также скидывают свои sys драйверы-фонтомы. Внимательно посмотри на рисунок. Там указан еще один sys драйвер KceDD.sys
Значит мои действия были такие.
— Зашел в защищенный режим.
— Удалил всю папку D-Tools
— Перенес все 3 файла d347bus.sy,d347prt.sys и KceDD.sys в отдельную
папку которая не ищеется и проверяется WINDOWS (Не удаляй — могут пригодиться, если неправильно
что-то сделал).
— Перезагрузился — система не ругалась.
— Прошелся Reg Organizer(чистка реестра).
Наверно это можно все проделать и не заходя в ЗАЩИЩЕННЫЙ РЕЖИМ, но я сделал как сделал.
Потом снова его установил. Сейчас работает.
Что такое kernel mode
kernel mode или Режим ядра — это привилегированный режим работы процессора, в котором поток (thread) имеет доступ к системной памяти и к аппаратным средствам. Если ты не программируешь, то это знать и необязательно. kernel mode — это системное программирование. Это вкратце, а так это большая тема.
И еще, DaemonTools 4 и Alcohol я не устанавливал и их sys драйверы-фонтомы я не знаю. Их узнать можно с помощью программы procexp.exe только на тех компьютерах где установлены эти программы. Если ты знаешь кого-то у кого они установлены, пусть тебе подскажут.

LEND, прежде всего спасибо что хоть как-то попытался помочь)
по теме:
d347bus.sys
d347prt.sys
таковых в системе вобще не оказалось, и других похожих (на случай если в других версиях отличные имена) тоже
KceDD.sys этот файл нет смысла удалять, он автоматически системой восстанавливаецо.
также тщательно, на сколько сам смог, почистил реестр от всех ключей связанных с DT и Alcoholем
еще нашел в диспетчере устройств какие-то дрова от СтарФорса, их тоже снес…
..результат:
DT 3.47 не ставил еще
DT 4 и более высоких версий также как и алкоголь не работают..
DT виснет при запуске, Alcohol виснет вместе с системой при попытке создать виртуальный диск…

а что за драйвер PartMgr.sys…он у меня чего-то с ошибкой..не мог бы его кто-нибудь в файлы выложить?
и чего-то заметил в диспетчере учтройств вобще нет SCSI RAID устройств…это у меня уже рассудок затуманен..или с этим надо чего-то делать?)

ВЫ почти все уже сделали. Если не видите в ДИСПЕТЧЕРЕ устройств в разделе SCSI и RAID контролеров ничего, то значит удалили драйверы DTOOLS и Alcohol (если только у ВАС нет RAID массива).
Попробуйте еще раз:
Выключите DT и Alcohol (если запускаются).
Вынесите из папки C:WINDOWSsystem32drivers все оставшиеся файлы которые принадлежат DT и Alcohol и оставшиеся фантомные устройства SCSI.
Сегодня до этого сделал поиск в ИНЕТЕ и нашел кое-что.

Почитайте. Попробуйте сделать как там написано — может найдете какое нибудь решение. Я сам не пробовал, но программка интересная. Я же драйверы sys фонтомы нашел с помощью программы procexp.exe. Попробуйте снова удалить DT и Alcohol, потом почистите реестр. У меня получилось и у ВАС все должно получиться.
Если все граммотно сделаете — никакие устройства ВЫ не собьете. Удалять и переустанавливать WINDOWS — это крайний случай. А если у ВАС снова при установки этих программ выскочит этот же «КОСЯК» и что снова переустановка WINDOWS?
Перезагрузитесь и попробуйте установить сначала DT347. Потом корректно его удалите и поставьте DT4.
Если ВЫ граммотно удалили DT347, естественно у ВАС нет тех файлов. У меня они остались, потому что DT347 слетел. В ИНЕТЕ я так же прочитал насчет Alcohol. Он эту ошибку: «Невозможно добавить адаптер. Минипорт не может открыть файл-образ в режиме ядра.» или «Unable to add adapter. Image file could not be opened by miniport in kernel mode.» выдает когда нет драйвера. А как без драйверов? Это ж основа в DTOOLS и Alcohol! Вот поэтому эти два приложения у ВАС сейчас и не работают.

не считаю свои руки….точнее считаю не настолько кривыми, хотя на чистую винду пока еще не пробовал ставить, оно того не стоит
одну особенность заметил: стоял у меня DT 3.47 после чего был корректно удален и поставлен 4 какой-та…который в свою очередь сразу же отказался работать, хотя 3.47 потавленный обратно работал без проблем

какой вопрос, такой и ответ. говорят, ясновидящие могут помочь в таких случаях. ну там. дистанционно определят ОС, конфиг компьютера, версию алкоголя… и даже духов родственников вызвать могут — для консультации…

такая же фигня порылся в WINDOWSSYSTEM32drivers
удалил 2 драйвера
axvbusx.sys
axvscsi.sys
после этого alcohol 120% v.1.4.1 устанавливаеться как по маслу на XP

поставил 3.47 работает, с ним все ок. снес, корректно естесно, ни дров лишних, ничего не осталось. поставил 4.09….как он вис, так и виснет..почему хз.

У друга тож с этой прогой проблема:
Ставит любой Даэмон, а он никакие файлы не понимает и не грузит
Что это?
З.Ы. Винда чистая. Это может Сервис Пак 2 так тупить?
