Дважды после обновлений такое происходило. Дважды помогло восстановить игру полное удаление без сохранения данных. При входе в игру по E-Mail и паролю после повторной загрузки возвращаетесь к своему герою на действующем уровне

The data folder is present. GameAssebly.dll is in between Raid_Data and the executable, but that shouldn’t cause the problem.

When suggesting to empty cache I am unsure which portion of cache to empty. I am worried that I will loose account information.

Please advise specific steps to solve this problem.

Fix: Can’t find AppData Folder Windows 10

Application data (or AppData) is a folder present in the Windows operating system which contains data created by programs and applications. Almost every program you install on your computer creates an entry in the AppData folder to store its information and configuration.

Application Data (AppData) folder

Even though you might not need the folder if you are a regular user, it comes handy when you are transferring information about applications between two computers. You can copy the configuration stored for Google Chrome from one computer to another just by copying its entry.

Despite its usefulness, we came across several cases where users reported that they were unable to find the AppData folder on their Windows. By default, the folder is hidden in your operating system and might not be easily accessed if you do not know the tricks.

Method 1: Accessing using %appdata%

Normally the AppData folder resides in your user folder which is the same directory that contains all your documents, music, pictures, etc. However, instead of navigating through the File Explorer to the specific location, you can easily use roaming to access the folder.

We use roaming because the %appdata% environment variable doesn’t actually point to the exact AppData folder. Instead, it points to the roaming folder inside the AppData which consists of the bulk of all application data.

Method 2: Using Windows Explorer

Another way to access the Application Data folder is using the Windows Explorer to navigate to the exact directory. Normally, you will not find the AppData folder in your User Profile page because it is hidden by default. We will change the hidden settings and then access the file location. Make sure that you are logged in as an administrator.

Here is the username of your computer (without the brackets). In here you will find the AppData folder shaded out because it is hidden. Simply click it like any other folder and you will be able to access it.

What to do if AppData Folder is Missing?

If you cannot access the Application Data (AppData) folder using any of the two methods above, it probably means there is some problem with your operating system. Your applications might not be working properly and may fail to initialize.

To remedy this, you can perform a system restore and choose a recent restore point. Make sure that you select a recent restore point which was taken the latest and then work your way outwards.

System Restore

If system restore doesn’t work, you probably need to create a new profile on Windows and see if the folder is present there. Whenever a new profile is created, a new AppData folder is created on your computer. Make sure that you perform all the steps and only transfer all the data when you are sure the new profile isn’t without any issues.

If even creating a new profile doesn’t work, you should backup your data and do a clean installation of Windows on your computer. Your system/installation files are most probably corrupt and are causing issues.

Note: You can also run an SFC/DSM on your computer. SFC is a system file checker that scans for all files on your computer and after comparing them with the online manifest, replaces them accordingly.

Если во время запуска игры вы видите на экране ПК эту ошибку, решается она довольно простым способом. Необходимо открыть ту папку, куда была установлена игра Escape from Tarkov. Один из быстрых способов: выберите правой кнопкой иконку игры и в меню нажмите вариант расположения файла.

1. В папке с игрой необходимо найти файл EscapeFromTarkov_Data.
2. Выберите его левой кнопкой мыши и перенести в папку Client.
3. Запустите игру.

Фирменный ярлык игры может смениться обычным, несмотря на это игра будет открываться. Его также можно удалить и вывести из папки с игрой новый через контекстное меню.

Переустановка DirectX в Windows

Проблема с запуском игры Escape from Tarkov появляется в компьютере, если установленная версия компонента DirectX ниже поддерживаемой видеокартой. Проверить это можно с помощью утилиты Dxdiag. Игра Побег из Таркова всё ещё может запускаться на Windows 7. Но в случае мощной конфигурации ПК рекомендуется установить 10 версию системы.

I downloaded the exe from wotc website and it just throws this error when I try to run the exe after the installer finishes. It doesn’t say it’s completed or anything it just stops running after finishing «installing updates». It’s about 416MB. I’ve deleted the entire install dir and it does the same thing, I’ve ran it as admin and it does the same thing.

EDIT: I got it to work by changing the download URL for the installer from https://mtgarena.downloads.wizards.com/Live/Windows32/MTGAInstaller.exe to https://mtgarena.downloads.wizards.com/Live/Windows64/MTGAInstaller.exe

It changed the install dir to Program Files instead of Program Filesx86. It is the exact same size in KB, but this one doesn’t just close after downloading the 419.59MB update. It’s actually downloading the 4-5GB game. It acted wonky the first time I tried to run it, but I made sure to uninstall everything through control panel and delete all info from the appdata folder. If you have this issue type %appdata% in the start menu delete the wizards of the coast folder in there, and then click appdata in the Directory at the top of the window and there are two local folders, delete the wizards of the coast folders in there too. Then make sure the game is uninstalled through control panel and try it with the 64 bit install link. No idea why the fuck this was an issue.

I’m on a pretty much fresh install of windows minus chrome and some steam games. It took me well over an hour and a half to get this to work. All the computers running on Windows Operating System have a folder named AppData on the C drive. By default, this folder is hidden. Therefore, you cannot access it until you unhide the hidden files and folders on your system. It is located inside the user profile folder. Every user profile that you create on a Windows computer has a separate AppData folder. AppData or Application Data is a folder on a Windows device where the data created by programs or applications is stored. If the contents inside the AppData folder get corrupted, some of your applications will not work properly. You can access the AppData folder easily by opening your user profile folder. But some users have reported that they are unable to find or open the AppData folder. If you cannot find or open AppData folder on your Windows 11/10 device, this post may help you fix the problem.

As explained above in this article, the AppData folder is hidden by default on every Windows device. Therefore, you cannot find it until you unhide the hidden files and folders. To find the AppData folder on your Windows 11/10 device, follow the steps below:

1. Open the File Explorer. You can also use the shortcut to open the File Explorer, Win + E.
2. Now, open the C drive and then open the Users folder.
3. You will find the folders of all the user profiles that you have created on your computer. Open the user profile, the AppData folder of which you want to open.
4. After opening the user profile folder, you will see the AppData folder there. If not, you have to unhide the hidden files and folders.

Some users are not able to open the AppData and the AppDataRoaming folders. The easiest way to open the Roaming folder is via the Run command box. You have to enter %appdata% and then click OK. If you are also unable to open the AppData or AppDataRoaming folder, you can try the solutions explained below:

1. Open the AppDataRoaming folder from File Explorer instead of the Run command box.
2. Scan your computer with a good antivirus software
3. Take ownership of the AppData folder
4. Check if the Users folder has a file with the same name as your username

Let’s see all these troubleshooting methods in detail.

1] Open the AppDataRoaming folder from File Explorer instead of the Run command box

If you are unable to open the AppDataRoaming folder from the Run command box, try to open it from the File Explorer. The Roaming folder is located inside the AppData folder. Therefore, if you can access the AppData folder from the File Explorer, you will see the Roaming folder inside it. Copy the following path and paste it into the address bar of the File Explorer. After that, hit Enter.

C:UsersusernameAppDataRoaming

In the above path, replace the username with your Windows user name. Alternatively, you can type %appdata% in the address bar of File Explorer instead of the above path. If this does not work, that means you may have permission issues with your AppData folder or your Windows System Image files may be corrupted. In this case, try the other solutions that we have explained below.

2] Scan your computer with a good antivirus software

Some viruses and malware can change the permissions of some files and folders on your system. Viruses and malware can enter a computer in many ways. For example, if you have downloaded software from an untrusted or third-party website, the chances of getting a virus or malware infection increase.

If your system is infected, it is possible that the virus or malware has changed the permissions of the AppData folder. Scan your computer with a good antivirus and antimalware software and check if it fixes the problem. If you do not have good antivirus software, download and run Microsoft Safety Scanner.

3] Take ownership of the AppData folder

As explained earlier in this article, the problem that you are currently facing might be occurring due to the permission issues with the AppData folder. Take ownership of the AppData folder, so that you will have full control over it. After taking ownership of the AppData folder, you will be able to open it.

4] Check if the Users folder has a file with the same name as your username

If you are unable to open the AppDataRoaming folder via the Run command box, check if the Users folder has a file with the same name as your username. A lot of users have confirmed that the command %appdata% was not working because of this issue.

Open your File Explorer and then go to the following path:

C:Users

Now, check if it contains a file with the same name as your username. If yes, delete that file. This should fix your problem.

How do I find AppData folder in Windows 11?

The AppData folder is located inside your user profile folder on the C drive. To find the AppData folder on your Windows 11 device, first, open the C drive and then open the Users folder. After that, open your user profile folder. You will find the AppData folder inside that folder. If the AppData folder is not there, enable the Show hidden files and folders option in the File Explorer.

Why can’t I find my AppData folder?

The AppData folder contains the preferences and settings of the programs that you install on your Windows device. It is hidden by default. Therefore, you will not find it until you unhide the hidden files and folders in the File Explorer.
