help with xprog-m reading ST 24C16 from CDR500

Hi, i have xprog-m 5.0 and I am trying to learn how to read eeproms with practice.

but my first chip is giving problems, firstly I am using this cabe: http://www.warwickts.com/wsb08—8way-soi. cable-p579
with the xprog and trying to read the 24C16 by ST on the bottom of the stereo for radio code.

I know I can get code by Licznik but i want to read eeproms for dash etc so this is practice.

i am running the xprog from a laptop using usb.

the pins are all connected correctly (i think) but i get a device acknowledge error, check device connection everytime. in device programmer desktop.

sometimes check certain pin but thats because the test clip moves or is off.

for device i choose:
Serial EEPROM

This clip is made of very bad quality. It the same clip as http://www.ebay.com/itm/EEprom-CLIP-SOIC. fd&vxp=mtr

Try to solder the chip out don’t read it onboard.

приобрел китайский X prog 5.84, все установил все в норме, хочу очистить краш подушки безопасности Ford Mustang 2019
все подключена по мануалу

но не могу читать дату, ошибка появляется Device is silent Timeout error
куда копать кто нибудь столкнулся?

Here are the Xprog M V5.55 ECU programmer error solutions that users often encounter.

– DEVICE IS SILENT

– Certificate expired and needs to be updated,or validated

– Can not find the key

– Access violation at address 1283DF84 in module “argen.dll”. Read of address 7A2BFC7A.

– Unknown command: Software error

–Xprog-box v5.55 Safengine error

XPROG-M V5.48 ERROR “DEVICE IS SILENT”

3 possible reasons & solutions:

-the USB cable problem and need to replace

-my computer is not compatible with Xprog-M, better download and install their Ghost Windows Xp Professional Sp3, download link

-If Xprog V5.48 still fails to read, then update Xprog 5.48 to higher version V5.0/V5.50/V5.55 or read it with Xhorse VVDI PROG programmer (this is the ideal ECU programmer for CAS4)

XPROG-M V5.50 error: “Certificate expired and needs to be updated,or validated”

Solution:

Found solution to Chinese Xprog v5.55 (update with ATMEGA64 Repair Chip)
Dongle(key) should have 2(two) instances in device manager (HID-compliant device and USB human interface)
No virtual ET199,no several HID-compliant—just those two I listed. And it works properly then.

XPROG 5.55 error message “Can not find the key!”

Solution:

do you connect usb dongle first.when you connect dongle (after complet install xprog 5.55 software and driver for sure)the led into dongle light windows make drivers install for this dongle when it finish the led into dongle blinking then connect the xprog 5.55 to usb.Ive installed into a windows 7, no problem.

XPROG 5.5.5 error message: Xprogdesktop: Access violation at address 1283DF84 in module “argen.dll”. Read of address 7A2BFC7A.

Solution:
Change another laptop and re-install V5.5.5 X-prog box software.
Recommend operating system: Win XP and Win 7

XPROG-M error massage: Unknown command: Software error

Solution:

ATMEGA64 CPU repair chip can help to fix this hardware problem. only need replace the XPROG-M V5.50 old CPU chip with the New CPU chip, then done!

Xprog-M v5.55 Safengine error

When i installed Xprog-m v5.5.5 software, the Safengine error □□□□□□□□ popped up

Solved by professional technicians!

Open Computer Management and the find out ET199 to uninstall it

(there should be lots of ET199, uninstall all)

Restart the computer

Install the patch file in the CD

Then Xprog-m 5.55 would work fine, usually.

If it still not work, please contact our customer service to send you our Windows XP operating system.

коллеги помогите кто в курсы
Мне удалось восстановить Xprog (версия 5.84, которая раньше не работала должным образом).
Я перепрошил на версию Луизы Андер, теперь ее 5.5.1
После всех процедур мне удалось прочитать и проверить eeprom ST 95080, только 2-3 раза, после того, как я вышел из программы и снова зашел, чтобы убедиться, что все работает правильно. перестаёт читать

Но он все еще проверяет Авторизацию, проверяет Идентификатор устройства, связь между ПК и Xprog, все в порядке, даже я проверял напряжение при попытке прочитать eeprom, он выдавал 5 вольт на контакты eeprom, но вышел из строя, говоря, что устройство молчит зеленый светодиод включается и после 3-4 сек. загорается красный светодиод и устройство молчит Device is silent

что может быть? Мой ноутбук Windows 7 — 64 бит

Я попробовал ту же процедуру с домашним ПК Windows 7 32 бит (это полностью отключен от Интернета), ST 95080 EEPROM
когда я нажимаю, чтобы прочитать кнопку ST 95080 EEPROM — он прочитал, но не проверить и начать выдавать ту же ошибку, устройство молчит
после этого он перестал читать снова,

Я прочитал тот же чип ST 95080 EEPROM с клоном УПА Китая, он прочитал 10 раз и проверить, без проблем.

(solved) Xprog-m v5.5.5 “verify error” fixed by Xprog v5.51

Here are important tips for all xprog users when they got this problem “verify error” during reading motorola mcu, and after try several time is read maybe.
Xprog software used:

Usually two xprog with same problem v5.45 / v5.55

The MAIN reason & solution:

Xprog version 5.5.5 is not so stable, find download 5.5.1 and downgrade it, its the most stable for clones available

Possible reasons and solutions:

Reinstall on fresh PC, and don’t connect that to internet. Internet off.. then rewrite firmware v555

– power supply problem

Check power supply to xprog

Only fresh OS and fresh software, directly from disk or from safe link…doesn’t mater if internet is on or off…etc
Only virus problem…tested 1000%

Xprog 5.5.1 update steps:
1. Erase chip atmega 64
2. Program eeprom , Flash
3. Set Lock bits and fuse bits. Program lock bits, fuse bits.
4. Copy Xprogbox 5.51 to C: and run Xprognew.reg
5. Run XprogDesktop.exe and update .

Here are some Xprog users feedback when tried to downgrade to v5.51

I had same problems today with 5.5.5, after few weeks i’ve got verify errors on motorola and 5p08c eeprom . What i did was deleted xprog folder (it was without instalation without dongle), go into registry editor (win xp) search for “xprog” deleted all registry keys with that tag and again copied clean folder (instalation) of xprog software and it worked. Also i disconected internet connection before everything.

I had the same problem,with 555 firmware, reading always different data, but sometimes correct,just sometimes.I back to 551 firmware and reading now without problem,may be need some hardware modification

had same story with 5.5.5 downgraded to 5.5.1 and used no dongle software with new usb cable and now all running smooth it was ver 5.5.3 with dongle when i got it so i want up up and back down 5.5.1 is stable and no problems

Tips to avoid Xprog “verify error” issues:

older versions (lower than v5.55) are favorable now, without “verify error”:

Hi,

My device bad.
It throws the Communication Error or sometimes Device silent.
Doesnt matter if i use USB or COM port the fault is the same.

Now i disassemble apart and i check the solders. But i do not find nothing.
Then i tried to heating up the main board and i found something.
If i heating up the FT232 area then the device came back to live.
And when cools down,then the fault back again…
So maybe the FT232 or Oscillator or ST2028 is the faulty component.

Somebody any idea?

Ir you can see xprog is connected on environment on com or usb then you dontvhave a prob of ft232
What version you use ?

when use COM port you need put external supply ,+15V.when FT232 ist bricked,device not reconigzed in to usb port.you make update from 5.0 to another version?

Originally the device was with dongle but I use without it.
When i connect to USB the software sees COM9 and everything looks OK.
Then,when i try to read an eeprom it throws «Communication error» or «Device acknowledge error,Check device connection»
And when i connect to COM1 port then it throws «Communication error» (with external supply)
Then i heating up the main board USB connector area,with hot airgun then everything OK.
I never update the device or software. It worked 2 years until now…

This area was heated then work again when hot.

same problem i have , communication error , and when press update into software show com error

i flashed many times to other version same problem , flashed with other xprog , UPA ,,,, still throw com error , checked fues bits , lock bit same problem

i think problem on FTDI drivers , how to update ftdi drivers ?

I have a XPROG Clone 5.60 and when inserting USB lights up lightly the red LED. And if I want to read what I get error connection error 1.
Is on the XPROG clone something defective. This is because no red LED lights up normally.
Can someone here tell me what exactly?

Xprog — read eeprom with WP

Hello,

I have an xprog clone V5.70.
I am trying to write (and read) an eeprom 24c04WP to remove an immobilizer.
But I can not communicate with the EEPROM in any way.
I already tried a different eeprom 24c04wp, I already soldered the pin 4 to the pin 7 and it always give error «device acknowledge error.
Is there any solution or trick for eeprom with WP?

Yes. I can read other eeprom without WP. Inclusive 24c02, 24c04.
But can’t read 24c04WP.

X-prog read this eeprom very well.
Check better all.

But 24C04WP don’t work.

softРешил написать личный опыт ремонт моего X-Proga. Началось всё с того что пришла мне лада приора что бы откатить одометр, как спец я с умным лицом вскрыл панель (ИТЭЛМА) нашёл нужную моторолу (MC9S12HA32), рядом есть BDM разъём, вставил фишки с проводами которые были неизолированые и нечаянно коротнул между собой, всё прогер на связь больше не вышал. Огорчения небыло предела. Решил разобраться в чем дело потому что без этого прогера некуда. Первое что решил проверить это была ATMEGA64, подключив внутрисхемно программатор TL866, атмега на связь не выходи УМЕРЛА. Быстро сгонял на радиорынок взял сразу две, думал что сейчас перепаяю, прошью благо прошивки имелись, и всё заработает да нету то было. Перепаял атмегу сел прошивать, как прошивать X-Prog в сети много инфы, прошивка легла как положено, ну думаю всё сейчас буду дальше работать, да не туто было. Когда подключил к компу запустил программу, а здесь кукиш прогер на связь не выходит. Опять огорчился, задумался о заказе нового, но русские не здаются. Решил проверить через COM порт, тоже самое, значит улители микрухи USB FT232BL, и COM порта ST2203. Хорошо что все микрухи были в наличии.Заменил FT232BL но так как ST2203 не оказалось поставил MAX232 и о чудо прогер вышел на связь, радости не было предела. Радовался не долго при попытке считать прошивку с пробной 24С02 выдало ошибку что невидет 5,6,8 пинов, опять грусть тоска одолела.Покурив интернет ничего не нашёл, решил просмотреть всю плату под лупу и наткнулся на сгоревший транзистор Q10 маркировка С5, нашёл даташит оказался ВС807. Полез искать в закрома, и нашёл старый блок иммобилайзера от пассат В4 в нем и нашёл этот транзистор, их там два штуки. Перепаял транзистор и прогер заработал. Так что то парни будьте внимательны при внутрисхемном програмировании. Буду рад если кому то помог мой горький опыт. XPROG-m — Schematic diagram rev B

Всем привет.есть пежо406 1997. Нужно отключить иммо, для этого нужно сначала прочесть проц ТМС 374 в блоке управления Sl96.1. Он заявлен в xprog555. Подключаюсь по схеме, все запаял правильно, но при начале чтения выскакивает ошибка Bootloader initialising error. Пробовал разные способы, менял источник питания, юсб кабель-ни в какую. Грешу уже на программатор, поскольку заказал его только для этого процессора.
Подскажите мысли по этому поводу. Кто как решил этот вопрос?

Всё делается на ура, эта ошибка выскакивает если не правильно запаялись и питание должно быть 15 в.

может файлом оригинальным поделишься нужен еепром tms 374 блок прилег заранее спасибо
