I am using Photoshop CS6 on a PC with Windows 10.
I download images from my camera using Bridge, it sorts the downloads by date shot. A folder single date’s folder may contain dngs, jpgs and a single mov or mp4 file. By just clicking on the folder that contains a mov or fp4 file I get this error message:
Dynamiclinkmediaserver Debug Event
Dynamiclinkmediaserver has encountered an error
[….Src/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]
and BRIDGE FREEZES, even when I hit the Continue button. The only solution is to close Bridge using Task Manager and start over, and stay away from the folder with the video files, or use Explorer to find the offending file and move it elsewhere so I can use Bridge to look at the other files in that date’s download.
This doesn’t happen with Photoshop CS4.
This is what a post on the Forum said to correct ths:
- Remove Library from Bridge favorites
- Edit Preferences — Cache — uncheck «Keep 100% Preview in Cache»
- Edit Preferences -Advanced — uncheck «Generate Monitor Sized Previews»
I did it and that solved the problem.
BUT THEN:
Problem 2:
BUT THEN I tried to open videos into PSCS6 timeline and got message “Dynamic Media Server is not available.”
So I googled and downloaded “Dynamic Link Media Server Update 1.0.1” from www.Adobe.com and installed it.
This update has caused the previous freeze issue to come back with the same error message as above, both with Bridge and with Photoshop! I’m right back where I started, but the steps that I took to correct it earlier are still in effect and haven’t corrected the problem.
HELP, please!!!

Is dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe safe, or is it a virus or malware?
The first thing that will help you determine if a particular file is a legitimate Windows process or a virus, is the location of the executable itself. For example, a process like dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe should run from C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe DNG Converter.exe and not elsewhere.
To confirm, open the Task Manager, go to View -> Select Columns and select «Image Path Name» to add a location column to your Task Manager. If you find a suspicious directory here, it may be a good idea to investigate this process further.
Another tool that can sometimes help you detect bad processes is Microsoft’s Process Explorer. Start the program (it does not require installation) and activate «Check Legends» under Options. Now go to View -> Select Columns and add «Verified Signer» as one of the columns.
If the «Verified Signer» status of a process is listed as «Unable to Verify», you should take a moment look at the process. Not all good Windows processes have a Verified Signature label, but neither do any of the bad ones.
The most important facts about dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe:
- Located in C:photoshop subfolder;
- Publisher: Adobe Systems Incorporated
- Full Path: C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe DNG Converter.exe
- Help file:
- Publisher URL: www.adobe.com/go/ps_support
- Known to be up to 1.63 MB in size on most Windows;
If you had any difficulties with this executable, you should determine if it’s trustworthy before deleting dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe. To do this, find this process in Task Manager.
Find its location (it should be in C:photoshop) and compare the size etc with the above facts.
If you suspect that you may be infected with a virus, then you must attempt to fix it immediately. To delete the dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe virus, you should download and install a full security application like Malwarebytes. Note that not all tools can detect every type of malware, so you may need to try several options before you’re successful.
In addition, the functionality of the virus may itself affect the deletion of dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe. In this case, you must enable Safe Mode with Networking — a secure environment that disables most processes and loads only the most required services and drivers. When there, you can run a security program and a complete system analysis.
Can I remove or delete dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe?
You should not delete a safe executable file without a valid reason, as this may affect the performance of any associated programs that use that file. Be sure to keep your software and programs up to date to avoid future problems caused by corrupted files. With regard to software functionality issues, check driver and software updates more often, so there is little or no risk of such problems occurring.
According to various sources online,
4% of people remove this file, so it may be harmless, but it is recommended that you check the trustworthiness of this executable yourself to determine if it is safe or a virus. The best diagnosis for these suspicious files is a complete system analysis with Reimage. If the file is classified as malicious, these applications will also delete dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe and get rid of the associated malware.
However, if it is not a virus and you need to delete dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe, then you can uninstall Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 32 Bit from your computer using its uninstaller, which should be located at: C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobeOOBEPDAppcorePDApp.exe —appletID=»DWA_UI» —appletVersion=»2.0″ —mode=»Uninstall» —mediaSignature=»{7C25E7A0. I have just installed CS6 and Light Room 4 a few days ago. I also made sure the software was up to date. When using Bridge and LightRoom I get the following error message when switching between folders. «dynamiclinkmediaserver has encountered an error» then it references [..\..\SrcDirectoryRegistry.cpp-283] When this occurs I must go to the task manager to close the program. I have purged cash and thumbs. I have downloaded and installed a patch for windows I found on the Adobe site called Dynamislinkmediaserverretail 1.0.1 mul Adobe Update. This did not help. I cleared the preferences as well and again no help Other than reinstalling are there any other suggestions? Thanks Remember, a little mild insanity keeps us healthy

Here is an update. First I can tell you that it will be a long time before I get another PS and LR upgrade. I had problems with CS5 that were never fully solved and now this. One of the main reasons I got LR 4.2 and CS6 was the video capability. <B>It is that very functionality that is not, well, functioning!!</B> I have pursued the Adobe Forums to find that I am one of many with this issue. LR 4.2 will not import video while LR 3.6 did it fine. LR 4.2 will not show video thumbs or play previously imported video while LR 3.6 did fine. I keep getting the same error message detailed above. Besides the above attempts at a solution I did the following. 1. Updated Quicktime So, I am wondering if there is a way to point LR and Bridge to the proper file location? I have my image files on D drive and software on C drive. The Light Room folder with saved catalogues is on D as well. Could this be the issue? I have looked at the preferences any number of times and do not see anything that indicates I can do this. I can’t believe that Adobe would not have a simple fix for this issue as video handling/editing is one of their premiere features they brag about the most in touting an upgrade. I really am considering returning the software and staying with CS5 and LR 3.6 The hours I have spent on this could have been more productive. Sorry to rant. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks Remember, a little mild insanity keeps us healthy

Ed, do you have on your system a folder called C:UsersYourNameAppDataRoamingAdobeLightroom? If you do, right click on it and select Properties. Then go to the Security tab, and if you would, post a screenshot of what you see on that tab. A lot of people having this error on Mac OS are reporting that fixing access permissions on the Mac equivalent of this folder has cleared up the issue for them. So let’s look at the permissions on the folder on your Windows machine and see if there’s an analogous problem. In your original post, you said you tried clearing the preferences. This was Lightroom preferences, correct? In the your later post (step 9), you said you tried running the software as an administrator. Does this mean you launched Lightroom 4.2 by right-clicking on it and selecting «Run as administrator»? Royce Howland

Hi Royce. Yes I did wipe LR a dn PS and Bridge properties. I do have the folder mentioned. When running as an administrator I did right click the shortcut and selected the «run as administrator» option. Remember, a little mild insanity keeps us healthy

Okay, what if you click on user name «Edward» in that tab above… do the permissions look any different than they do for SYSTEM? I presume Edward is the user account under which you normally run Lightroom… Royce Howland

Sorry to double post, but I also tried copying the dynamiclinkmediaserver and dynamiclinkmanager files from their location in C:/users/edward/roaming/adobe to the LR file we have been investigating and still no luck Remember, a little mild insanity keeps us healthy

From my reading of this problem, this Dynamic Link thing is crashing but the actual problem usually seems to be somewhere else — corrupted preferences, folder permissions blocking it, network errors when accessing video from a NAS, or something like that. The permissions above look okay; running LR as administrator should step past small permissions issues but when you did that it didn’t help. Have you tried creating a new user ID under Windows, and setting up a basic LR catalog under the new ID to test whether that will import video? This is another check recommended in an Adobe troubleshooting guide on this problem, or ones that seem like they may be closely related to it: http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/error-changing-modules-lightroom.html Bottom line is this looks like an Adobe bug, or collection of bugs. One other question I’d have is does this happen to you only when you try to deal with videos within Lightroom? Or does it also happen when trying to load the same video files directly in Photoshop without going through LR first? Or is the video thing a red herring — is this actually being triggered by something else? If the issue could be pinned down to LR-only vs. both apps, it might suggest something else to look into… Royce Howland

I have only run into it when dealing with video. I have not tried loading a video directly into PS yet. I will try this tonight after my «work stuff». I first noted the issue when testing the CS6 Bridge. When changing folders in Bridge I often, but not always get the messaage and it locks bridge so I have to use the task manager to end the program. I occurs every time Bridge encounters a video. In LR all is good except the video functionality. Remember, a little mild insanity keeps us healthy

OK, I tried to open a video directly in CS6 and got the same message and the «loading video» dialogue hung up and locked the program. When I closed it another dialogue came up stating the Dynamic Link Media Server was not available. So, all things new — CS6, CS6 Bridge, and LR 4.2 are affected by this problem. It is late here tonight but tomorrow I will set up another user account and see if the software works with a new UA. If this does work I am tempted to reload Win 7 and start over. It shouldn’t be too bad as I only use this machine for photography and all my data is on D and E drives so only C drive will be affected. Remember, a little mild insanity keeps us healthy

Definitely a core problem in all the latest Adobe apps, then, due to this shared media service. Not just a weird Lightroom catalog import problem or something like that. Sorry you’re getting hit with this. Probably not much more input we can offer here unless somebody has hit this exact issue and found a work-around for it… Royce Howland

Thanks Royce for all your help and input. Do you think reinstalling Win 7 and starting the CS stuff with LR over is a good investment in time, assuming of course that a new user account makes the stuff work? Remember, a little mild insanity keeps us healthy

If a new account makes things work, then yes you may want to go for the new Win 7 install to clean everything up. If the new user account doesn’t help then it’s a toss-up whether or not a fresh Windows install would help. Without some pretty in-depth debugging, which we can’t really handle over the forums, it’s pretty much impossible to say exactly what kind of Adobe bug is going on here. It could be some kind of conflict between the new CS6 installs and left-over components from previous Adobe versions, which a clean Windows install could get rid of if you don’t reinstall the old Adobe apps. But there’s no way to know if it’s just a serious fault in the new video handling routines somewhere. I guess you’ll have to judge how much time you want to invest in this. Doing a new Windows install isn’t the end of the world, I’ve just done 3 of them in the past ~3 months. But it will take you a few days to get everything back. If the CS6 apps still don’t work, you’ll be out the time and just have to decide whether to try to refund that purchase or keep running them and wait for Adobe to put out a fix… Royce Howland

Hi Royce, EJ and all. I solved the problem by creating a new user account and being sure the first software I ran was CS6 and LR 4.2. After ensuring all was working as it is supposed to I then spent the rest of the evening transferring all the non Adobe software to the new account and making all the proper file associations. Once this set up runs for a while I will delete the old account. I think this process is made easier as my C drive is limited to Operating System and software. All images and documents are on other internal drives, so they are not directly affected by the new UA as long as I associate the software using the documents and images to the correct locations. So, I still don’t know why this issue was created. At least it is over and I can move on. Thanks again for all your help. Remember, a little mild insanity keeps us healthy

Okay, this tells me there’s some dangling config settings or the like in your original Windows account. Either something left over from an earlier version of an Adobe app that conflicts with the newer software, or something corrupted from the newer version. It’s not a hard & fast bug in the Adobe software, and not a problem with the actual install of the software on your machine, or even with something in Windows or the drivers, etc. If you’re happy switching everything over to the new account and running there, that may be all it takes to keep things running smooth again… Royce Howland

Hi,
Are you still having problems with CS6 Video Export?
What Export settings are you using? (A screencapture might be the fastest way to answer that.)
Does it work if you use the default settings?
If you have time to experiment, I have some suggestions:
Would you please try/verify the following:
1. Be sure virus/security/parental control software hasn’t trapped parts of Photoshop, Bridge, Premiere, Lightroom, or any Adobe app using DynamicLinkMediaServer. (Make sure the Adobe apps are added as exceptions if needed.)
2. Ensure you have the latest version of QuickTime
3. Close all Adobe applications — wait more than 30 seconds, then launch Photoshop and try to open and export the file.
— If unsuccessful, view Task Manager/Processes to verify necessary processes started up when importing video (dynamiclinkmanager.exe, dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe and Adobe QT32 Server.exe)
— If unsuccessful, please capture the full error message text.
4. Close all Adobe apps, wait 30 seconds — launch Bridge and try to open/export the file.
Thanks,
Meredith

Dynamic Link Media Server Error on Video Export CS6
Hello,
Whenever I atempt to render video or export a photoshop file as a video I get the following error:
dynamiclinkmediaserver has encountered an error
[/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/DynamicLinkMediaServer1/main/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Foundat ion/Make/Mac/../../Src/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]
Continue Button.
Hitting continue does nothing and the application just hangs on the video export progress bar.
I’ve attempted to export several types of PSD files to video, some old, some new (made in CS6) and I always get this error. I have reset Photoshops preferences. I have uninstalled the entire CS6 suite and reinstalled it.
On a whim I decided to reinstall PS CS5 and try to export from there. Worked like a charm. Was able to export video from my PSDs like before.
I am currently running:
Creative Suite CS6 Master Collection
My hardware is:
Model Name: iMac
Processor Name: Intel Core i5
Processor Speed: 2.8 GHz
Memory: 8 GB
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3

Dynamic Link Media Server error — lost video reference file and can’t replace
I’ve had this problem twice in the last 4 days and both times it’s coincided with an internet drop-out in the office. I’ve imported an uncompressed QT .mov into Audition CC, splitting the video and audio tracks, and added both to a multitrack session. I’m using the video reference track to sync SFX to an animation. The problem is that the video track stops playing in the video window, and Audition crashes. We’ve had problems with our internet connection and this problem occured when the internet dropped out. I wait for the internet to come back online and restart Audition, and get the following message:
«This file can only be imported using the Dynamic Link Media Server process, but it is still starting and cannot yet be used. Please wait while the process initializes and we import the selected files.»
The app takes 30 seconds to load and my video reference track has disappeared and is labelled «Offline». I can’t replace it in the multitrack timeline, even if I try to reimport the original .mov file into the project it only displays the file as audio with no video. I’m not using Premier and don’t need to sync between apps, I just need Audition to recognise a video track on my local hard drive.
FYI: I’m running OS X 10.9.1 with Audition CC and have turned on «Enable DMLS Format support» in preferences.
Any help would be much appreciated as I’m thinking of reverting to Ableton!Terry Anglepoise wrote:
Is this DMLS update ok for CC apps? RE: 10.9.1, looks like that update is for Mac Pro late 2013 machines, I’m running off a Mac Pro from 2010. Sounds like it wont be compatible?
On the ‘about’ link it says at the top «The OS X Mavericks v10.9.1 Update is recommended for all OS X Mavericks users.» Sounds pretty unequivocal to me. You’d need absolute confirmation from Durin, but I can’t on the face of it see why the latest version of DMLS wouldn’t be compatible with the previous version — IOW, it should be fine. If either isn’t, then they should refuse to install. But with the way that Apple has screwed up Mavericks, in all honesty, all bets are off about that, and I’m glad that I’m a W7 PC user.
I’ve wasted quite a lot of time lately fixing several ridiculous problems with Macs, including Mountain Lion’s amazing ability to trash Wifi, etc, and quite frankly, I’m not impressed with them at all. So it’s not blind prejudice, or even blatent bias this time either — FWIW I’m similarly underwhelmed with Windows 8. -
Dynamic Link Media Server error in PS CS6
I’ve just installed PS CS6 Extended 32 and 64 bit versions 13.0.1 on a new PC running Windows 7.
If I try to open a video I get an error message:
When I click Continue I get this:
And finally this …
Can anyone help me fix this please?
Thanks,
MikeThanks for your quick response.
Your first question is a bit puzzling! The CS6 installation disk contains 32 and 64 bit versions of the program and I installed both. I believe this is the usual procedure …
As for your other questions:
1. I didn’t modify the default installation paths, although subsequently I moved the scratchfile location to another drive to overcome the directory protection bug in CS6.
2. The videos are standard MOV format from my Canon digital camera. I only imported one at a time and they are relatively small (a few tens of MB).
Yes, I tried rebooting but that didn’t help.
Since I posted my question I found that unchecking «Use Graphics Processor» in the Preferences dialog has stopped the error ocurring. Why should this be? My processor is an AMD A4-300 with Radeon HD6410D GPU.

Yesterday’s Updates to Dynamic Link Media Server
I woke to find four updates to CS6 (Au, Ae, Ps, and Pr) yesterday, which the Updater called «Dynamic Link Media Server CS6 1.0.1 Update.»
I updated, and I updated my CUDA about the same time.
Pr started working slower. So, I reverted back, using my clone.
Not sure if this was a coincicence, or which update to blame.
I’m back to the performance from both that I was used to.
The CUDA update was for bugs I wasn’t experiencing and for compatibility to 10.8, which I’m not running.
Was I too hasty? Do these Dynamic Link updates do anything? Improve anything?
MacPro3,1 — CS6 — Quadro 4000 — 10.7.4I don’t doubt your engineer for a second. I’m convinced now that the nVidia or most likely the CUDA driver is behind all my Serious Errors. I was getting them right after opening a project and trying to do anything at all today. I turned CUDA off, and was able to finish the project. When that was out the door, I reinstalled the CUDA and nVidia drivers, rebooted, opened my project, enabled CUDA, and Pr has been working without the errors.
Thank you, Todd! -
Dynamic Link Media Server Missing!
I have install most of the licensed Photoshop modules (I am just awaiting delivery of two new laptops), however, we are just starting to use the ‘video’ training lessons and two installed pieces of software will not open the videos — they say that the Dynamic Link Media Server is missing. Can you advise on how this can be corrected?
No. I guess you’re misunderstanding.
we are just starting to use the ‘video’ training lessons and two installed pieces of software will not open the videos
You’ve mentioned the software will not open the videos. My question was what is the format of the video you’re trying to open? MP4/ AVI/ WMV? -
Dynamic Link Media Server Cannot be Found-
Hi, everybody:
I am trying to retouch two video files in Photoshop CS6 Extended for Mac OS X, and I cannot find the dynamic link media server. I never had this problem before. It says a component is missing. I downloaded the update to the server and I even re-installed Photoshop Extended CS6. I have the Master Collection. I also have anti-virus software that I have turned off. It still does not work. Can family filters for my family be the cause of the server not being found? Thanks for the help and I do really appreciate it.artisan 213574: have you resolved this problem?
I am experiencing the same problem minus that I have an anti-virus software.

Dynamic link media server
Cs6, windows 7, Movies won’t open «dynamic link media server not available» ???
Haha, I was wondering about this myself! When installing updates to a shared component (such as the Dynamic Link Media Server), why did it have to download the update multiple times?
I assumed that it was a slightly different update/version for each program. If not…what a waste of bandwidth! -

Dynamic Link Media Server Photoshop Cs6
Hi, i have a problem with this patch. When a I try to click on File/Import/Video Frames To Layers there’s an error «DynamicLink Media Server is not aviable». I try to wait 30 second and restart the program and my pc, but there have been no changes.
I also updated the patch downloaded from the website version 1.01
I saw that others have had this problem, but I have not figured out how they did to solve it. I’m Italian and I understand little about your language so… could you explain it more clearly?

Dynamic link media server not available
I’m using Photoshop CS6 and I keep getting this error while trying to import video frames to layers
I’ve looked around and tried the recommended steps offered on other threads. When I reboot my laptop it works again for maybe five minutes but the moment I try to import another video it doesn’t work. If I close the program, wait 30 seconds, and try again I get the error message again. When I try opening Bridge the whole program freezes.
Help would be greatly appreciated. Some security tool on your system is blocking the service/ shutting it down.

Dynamic link media offline…will only reconnect if both AE and Premiere Pro CC are open
Hi,
I have a sequence that has dynamic linked media and it will not re-connect unless I have the after effects project open as well? This is causing major issues with render time. I have updated my mac, made sure my CUDA Driver is up to date Version: 7.0.36 and all of my adobe applications are up to date as well. Any ideas as to what is causing this error. I considered leaving both programs opening while exporting but the render time jumps up to 20 hours :~X and it is just a 27 minute wedding ceremony….only 1080p.I do not. I made sure to uninstall them prior to going to CC. However, after multiple tests/theories I believe to have discovered the issue. I was using a third party plug in called neat video, which is a denosier. I found that overtime I use this effect the link would not hold up and I could not get it to reconnect unless both programs were open. I decided to try red giants denoiser on the same project and I had no issue connecting through dynamic link even when AE was not open. I’m not sure that this is the only solution or if was the root problem…but it seems to have fixed my issue. Everything seems to be working properly now that I have removed the neat video filters in after effects. Thanks for your time and help!

Flash Media Server 3 / FlashPioneer Video Chat
Just recently, I purchased and installed
‘FlashPioneerVideoChat’…
I decided to use Flash Media Server 3 (developer addition)
for the local server. The problem is you can’t login to the FMS
Server from the client end although all other communication aspects
work fine. When a connection is made the login starts but doesn’t
open the application, it just keeps running. The Client side has
been debugged and tested so that points to the Flash Server and
whatever settings have to be made and/or code added to what file?
Could someone please point me in the right direction, Thank
you much …
[email protected]Hi, but doesn’t the linux version work on a mac?
I’m a bit confused here.
I currently shoot video on a Canon mini dv camera and edit in Apple imovie.
Convert to Apple Quicktime and then import into Flash 8 video encoder.
I ftp the clips upto a flash server, from my mac and upload the playlist to my website host
using Flash 8.
Don’t tell me i’ve now got to get one of those dreadful PC thingies to complete the loop,
surely Adobe didn’t invent this wonderful piece of software so it could run from a PC?
Or did they?

Adobe After Effects?

Pro Maintenance Tools.
Я переустановил все программы Adobe и графики для дополнительной безопасности. Та же проблема.

What Is Dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe? How To Repair It? [SOLVED]
Most dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe errors are the result of missing or corrupt versions of the executable file, and commonly encountered at Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 program launch. A large percentage of these file issues can be resolved with downloading and installing the latest version of your EXE file. Furthermore, keeping your registry clean and optimized can prevent invalid file path (like dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe) and file extension references, so we recommend running a registry scan cleanup regularly.
Executable Files that employ the EXE file extension are also known as the Windows Executable File format. What are dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe Error Messages?
dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe Runtime Errors
Runtime errors are Adobe Photoshop Lightroom errors that occur during «runtime». Runtime is pretty self-explanatory; it means that these EXE errors are triggered when dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe is attempted to be loaded either when Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is starting up, or in some cases already running. Runtime errors are the most common form of EXE error you will encounter using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
In most cases, dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe runtime errors occurring while the program is running will result in the program terminating abnormally. Most of these dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe error messages mean that Adobe Photoshop Lightroom was either unable to locate this file on startup, or the file is corrupt, resulting in a prematurely-aborted startup process. Generally, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom will be unable to start without resolving these errors.
Some of the most common dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe errors include:
- dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe — Bad Image.
- dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe Application Error.
- dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe could not be found.
- dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe could not be installed.
- dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe could not be launched. Class not registered.
- dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe could not be started.
- dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe failed to initialize properly.
- dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
- dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe is not a valid Win32 application.
- dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe is not running.
- Cannot find dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe.
- Error starting program: dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe.
- Faulting Application Path: dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe.
- The file dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe is missing or corrupt.
- Windows failed to start — dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe.
The program can’t start because dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
Thus, it’s critical to make sure your anti-virus is kept up-to-date and scanning regularly.
Finding the source of the dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe error is key to properly resolving these errors. Although most of these EXE errors affecting dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe will happen during startup, occasionally you will encounter a runtime error while using dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe. This can occur due to poor programming on behalf of Adobe Systems, Incorporated, conflicts with other software or 3rd-party plug-ins, or caused by damaged and outdated hardware. Also, these types of dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe errors can occur if it has been accidentally moved, deleted, or corrupted by a malware infection. Thus, it’s critical to make sure your anti-virus is kept up-to-date and scanning regularly.

Boost.Threads
Contents
Introduction
Include the header to define the exception types that may be thrown by Boost.Threads classes.
Classes
Class lock_error
The lock_error class defines an exception type thrown to indicate a locking related error has been detected. Examples of such errors include a lock operation which can be determined to result in a deadlock, or unlock operations attempted by a thread that does not own the lock.
Class lock_error synopsis
Class lock_error constructors and destructor
Class thread_resource_error
The thread_resource_error class defines an exception type that is thrown by constructors in the Boost.Threads library when thread related resources can not be acquired. This does not include memory allocation failures which instead throw std::bad_alloc.
Class thread_resource_error synopsis
Class thread_resource_error constructors and destructor

Thread Management
Synopsis
The boost :: thread class is responsible for launching and managing threads. Each boost :: thread object represents a single thread of execution, or Not-a-Thread , and at most one boost :: thread object represents a given thread of execution: objects of type boost :: thread are not copyable.
Objects of type boost :: thread are movable, however, so they can be stored in move-aware containers, and returned from functions. This allows the details of thread creation to be wrapped in a function.
[Note: On compilers that support rvalue references, boost :: thread provides a proper move constructor and move-assignment operator, and therefore meets the C++0x MoveConstructible and MoveAssignable concepts. With such compilers, boost :: thread can therefore be used with containers that support those concepts.
For other compilers, move support is provided with a move emulation layer, so containers must explicitly detect that move emulation layer. See for details.]
Launching threads
A new thread is launched by passing an object of a callable type that can be invoked with no parameters to the constructor. The object is then copied into internal storage, and invoked on the newly-created thread of execution. If the object must not (or cannot) be copied, then boost :: ref can be used to pass in a reference to the function object. In this case, the user of Boost.Thread must ensure that the referred-to object outlives the newly-created thread of execution.
If you wish to construct an instance of boost :: thread with a function or callable object that requires arguments to be supplied, this can be done by passing additional arguments to the boost :: thread constructor:
The arguments are copied into the internal thread structure: if a reference is required, use boost :: ref , just as for references to callable functions.
There is an unspecified limit on the number of additional arguments that can be passed.
Exceptions in thread functions
If the function or callable object passed to the boost :: thread constructor propagates an exception when invoked that is not of type boost :: thread_interrupted , std :: terminate () is called.
Joining and detaching
When the boost :: thread object that represents a thread of execution is destroyed the thread becomes detached . Once a thread is detached, it will continue executing until the invocation of the function or callable object supplied on construction has completed, or the program is terminated. A thread can also be detached by explicitly invoking the detach () member function on the boost :: thread object. In this case, the boost :: thread object ceases to represent the now-detached thread, and instead represents Not-a-Thread .
In order to wait for a thread of execution to finish, the join () or timed_join () member functions of the boost :: thread object must be used. join () will block the calling thread until the thread represented by the boost :: thread object has completed. If the thread of execution represented by the boost :: thread object has already completed, or the boost :: thread object represents Not-a-Thread , then join () returns immediately. timed_join () is similar, except that a call to timed_join () will also return if the thread being waited for does not complete when the specified time has elapsed.
Interruption
A running thread can be interrupted by invoking the interrupt () member function of the corresponding boost :: thread object. When the interrupted thread next executes one of the specified interruption points (or if it is currently blocked whilst executing one) with interruption enabled, then a boost :: thread_interrupted exception will be thrown in the interrupted thread. If not caught, this will cause the execution of the interrupted thread to terminate. As with any other exception, the stack will be unwound, and destructors for objects of automatic storage duration will be executed.
If a thread wishes to avoid being interrupted, it can create an instance of boost :: this_thread :: disable_interruption . Objects of this class disable interruption for the thread that created them on construction, and restore the interruption state to whatever it was before on destruction:
The effects of an instance of boost :: this_thread :: disable_interruption can be temporarily reversed by constructing an instance of boost :: this_thread :: restore_interruption , passing in the boost :: this_thread :: disable_interruption object in question. This will restore the interruption state to what it was when the boost :: this_thread :: disable_interruption object was constructed, and then disable interruption again when the boost :: this_thread :: restore_interruption object is destroyed.
At any point, the interruption state for the current thread can be queried by calling boost :: this_thread :: interruption_enabled () .
Predefined Interruption Points
The following functions are interruption points , which will throw boost :: thread_interrupted if interruption is enabled for the current thread, and interruption is requested for the current thread:
Thread IDs
Objects of class boost :: thread :: id can be used to identify threads. Each running thread of execution has a unique ID obtainable from the corresponding boost :: thread by calling the get_id () member function, or by calling boost :: this_thread :: get_id () from within the thread. Objects of class boost :: thread :: id can be copied, and used as keys in associative containers: the full range of comparison operators is provided. Thread IDs can also be written to an output stream using the stream insertion operator, though the output format is unspecified.
Each instance of boost :: thread :: id either refers to some thread, or Not-a-Thread . Instances that refer to Not-a-Thread compare equal to each other, but not equal to any instances that refer to an actual thread of execution. The comparison operators on boost :: thread :: id yield a total order for every non-equal thread ID.
