I had the same issue. I had an old un-hacked Vita in the cupboard that I decided to upgrade to 3.65 and install enso on. All I did was follow the instructions here: https://vita.hacks.guide/installing-h-encore.html.
I had not yet installed my sd2vita, so the only plugins were as follows:
nonpdrm.skprx
download_enabler.suprx
shellbat.suprx
pngshot.suprx
kuio.skprx
vsh.suprx
I copied vitahbbrowser.vpk (version 0.82) over to the vita via the USB connection. When I ran the vpk it failed. I copied the file over about 3 or 4 times, and on the fourth copy it finally executed successfully.
The config.txt in ur0 was the following at the time the copies failed:
For users plugins, you must refresh taiHEN from HENkaku Settings for
changes to take place.
For kernel plugins, you must reboot for changes to take place.
*KERNEL
ur0:tai/nonpdrm.skprx
ur0:tai/kuio.skprx

You should upgrade or use an alternative browser.

I just got a PS vita (PCH 2000) and I followed this video guide to CFW my PS vita
I have successfully Installed henkaku and Vita shell to my PS vita
But unfortunately am unable to download vpk files via Vita shell.
I’ve set the main settings to
USB Device:Memory Card
Select Button: USB
When I press select I am able to connect to my PC and transfer the VPK File into the PS Vita Internal Memory. But when I disconnect it and install it. It just shows Error 0xFFFFFFF. 90% of the time when I try to install a VPK this message will show up.
I have tried using FTP and the same thing happens. Sometimes I’m able to install a VPK file but more often than not Error 0xFFFFFFFF pops up.
I have already tried using 2 different usb cables (These cables are ordinary Samsung phone cables)
Check to see if there is enough storage (Free space: 800MB VPK size:150MB)
Rebooting the PS vita and tried installing the VPK again (Error 0xFFFFFFFF still Shows)
Deleting and transferring the VPK again
Installing other VPKs from other sites and testing if they work (Which they don’t as Error 0xFFFFFFFF shows up)
Reinstalling H-encore for the 3rd time
And still the problem persist.
If anyone has any idea or solution to solve this problem, that’ll greatly appreciated !

Thanks for the reply,I have changed the vpk extension to .zip and have extracted the files inside the zip file. But how do I transfer over the content ? I have opened qcma and have used vitashell to connect to my computer. Do I drag and drop the files to my vita ? Or must I transfer them via the QCMA settings tab ? And if so how do I do that ?
Really appreicate your answer, thank you !

Short description: just remove /sce_sys/package folder from VPK, then install. Long description: it happens because people copy whole folder of installed game and zip it into VPK. Original game package doesn’t have this folder. It’s created upon game installation.

It’s the icon0.png isn’t proper. Run it through pngquantmatrix and reinsert. It will fix the area as well as keep the art work.

For those who never used command line and don’t know what /sce_sys/package means, i explain more precise: It means you need to go into sce_sys folder and while inside it, find and delete package folder (not whole sce_sys!). P.S.: didn’t know there are people who can’t understand it.

Never underestimate the ability of people to not read what you’ve said

How do I access command line? I heard you can get to one from TF2 and another from L4D, but I don’t have those games. Also, I couldn’t find a link to one either. CMD won’t open it. I have nothing to go on here.

Have you never looked inside a VPK? There’s always a scy_sys folder… Without it, you won’t have the livearea pictures etc.

You need to read and understand my post. I’ve wrote about package folder inside sce_sys. Did you never see how file paths are written?
