    и выдает такую ошибку… Подскажите куда тыкнуться можно

  • Причин может быть две: у вас (в отличие от сервера Exchange) нет разрешения для доступа к файлу, указанному в собщении (проверьте) и файл занят — открыт какой-то программой. Например, это может быть Exchange Inforamtion Store — если эта служба запущена и
    база смонтирована ;-)

    Каким именно процессом открыт файл, можно проверить с помощью Process Explorer от Sysinternals (программа доступна на сайте Microsoft).

  • When you perform a ‘Replay Install’ but do not have the appropriate permissions assigned to the folder or the drive that contains the Exchange databases (i.e., the MDBDATA folder).
  • When you run the ESEUtil command, while the database is mounted. The database needs to be offline so that the ESEUtil command can read the header information before attempting to repair it.

  • Creator / Owner None
  • Everyone None

Limitations of Manual Methods

Though the above-mentioned manual fixes are free of cost and appear to be useful in most cases, they suffer from some limitations:

  • After you fix the “exchange 2010 failed with jet error 1032” problem, further attempts to repair the database may fail.
  • In some cases of serious database damage even the ESEUtil command fails to repair the database.
  • Attempts to resolve error 1032 might result in severe damage to the database if not followed correctly.

При попытке дефрагментировать «распухшую» базу Exchange 2010 помучил такую ошибку:

беглое гугление говорит о том, что я и сам вижу — файл (видимо сама база) занят и запись в него невозможна. Парадокс ситуации в том, что сервер, перед самой процедурой был перезагружен. Как понять, почему дефрагментация зашершается ошибкой?

I have dismounted the database and I am trying to run eseutil /mh however I am getting this error:

Maybe I need to disable automatic mounting of the database with powershell command and restart ?

Ok removed the edb and found 2 processes which when killed ( explorer.exe ) removed the taskbar.

Beleive it or not however I am still having the same file cannot be accessed error !

you can copy the database to another localization

try the eseutil over the copy database , when finish

then the original database rename to .edbold

and copy the esutiled database in the same localization of original database

then mount database and finish.

There is some program locking that DB and usually I would say hey the DB must be mounted so Exchange has a lock on it but you say its not and therefore more than likely I would guess that its the backup product locking onto the database because its trying to execute a backup. So I would ;

1. I would stop your backup agents on the Exchange server to see if that helps

2. You could also find an unlocker product to force whatever product that is locking the file to let go.

Eseutil (Known as Extensible Storage Engine Utilities) is a command line tool which is associated with Microsoft Exchange database and the corresponding log files. Hello-
We’ve got a machine that had a power failure and the Exchange Database won’t mount after startup.
No matter what I do, I can’t get ESEUTIL to address the database.

-I have tried running ESEUTIL /p, and I have tried both Command Prompt and Exchange Management Shell both running as Administrator.

I tried deleting the log files as well.
Below is the error I get when trying to run ESEUTIL.

-1032 is notorious for antivirus clients having a file held open. Are the proper scanning exclusions in place? Does it repro if you disable any/all A/V services temporarily?

If that doesn’t help, call Microsoft. Unmountable DB is not something you want to screw around with.

The easiest way to do this is to have both database files (.EDB and .STM) in the same directory (which they usually are). If they’re in different places, you’re going to have to point to the files on the command line.
Eseutil is located in the exchsrvrbin directory
Example:
eseutil /p c:exchsrvrmdbdatadb1.edb /sd:exchsrvrmdbdatadb1.stm /te:temp.edb
This command line will repair DB1.EDB located on C: along with its matching .STM file located on D: and will put the temporary file on the E: drive.
If your streaming database file (.STM) is not matched to the database file (.EDB) or it has a problem that is blocking repair, you can add the /i switch to the repair command line.
The /i option ignores the signature mismatch error in the check phase. The database and streaming file will receive new signatures in the repair phase.
Repair can take a while—hours. When it finishes, it will leave you with a very detailed log file of what it did called .integ.raw.
Not quit finished yet, there are two more steps to complete.

/p is the last thing anyone should do if the database is in a dirty shutdown state unless they know exactly how the DB got into that shutdown state and/or they have run out of every every other recovery method.

My preferred method of using eseutil /p is to copy all of the database files and logs over to another server first (server! not another drive, that way you run a lower risk of /p on the wrong copy of the files ;) ). That way, I have a backup in case /p wipes out all the things.

If you get to that point…make a backup before doing any sort of repair on the database. When you call Premier for help, they’ll love you. Not to mention, those poor souls with data in that database will love you too.

/p may make the DB mount, but how much data is lost? You aren’t going to find out until after you mount it, and wait for users to start complaining. Meanwhile MTA delivers more messages to an unhealthy DB that you aren’t going to keep because it has so much missing data, and now recovering from that is just that much harder.

I think your DB is the database that you specified. They are as they that Exchange has problems with the domain server. Using the Database Troubleshooter tool it indicates 2007 that suffered a hard shutdown.

Follow these methods to fix this ESEUTIL jet error 1811 error given below:-

Manual Method 1- Backing Up of Exchange Database

  • Start the Windows Server Backup and select the local backup solution
  • Select the backup once the option
  • Then just tap on different options and click the next button
  • You will see a select Backup configuration page
  • Choose the custom option and click on the next to move further
  • You can also select items for the backup page
  • Press add items option and press OK to attach the needed volume
  • With Advanced Settings Exclusions, you can exclude the file types
  • Visit the VSS settings tab and choose VSS full backup tab and press OK
  • Then you will see a window giving an option to select local drives or remote shared folders to save Exchange backup files to the destination
  • Check the setting of backup in the confirmation tab, and click on the backup button
  • Check the current backup process and then press the backup button
  • You can view the backup progress using the backup progress tab. Check the backup files after the completion of the process.

Manual Method 2- Using Various ESEUTIL Command

MS Exchange server has several commands that resolve the different types of corruption errors. All you need to do is to open the command prompt and select desired ESEUTIL command depending upon the requirements. Read out the given commands:

  • ESEUTIL/c- To perform the hard recovery of the Exchange database
  • ESEUTIL/m- You can use this command to take the exit from header information of the database
  • ESEUTIL/D- Command facilitate the offline defragmentation of the Exchange database
  • ESEUTIL/y- Used to assign the operation on large mailboxes of the database
  • ESEUTIL/g- To check the integrity of the exchange database
  • ESEUTIL/p- Basically, used to recover corrupt exchange database file.  After this, the user needs to perform an offline defragmentation of the database
  • ESEUTIL/R- For recovery operations on the exchange database
  • ESEUTIL/K- To do the analysis of checksum values

You can use all these commands to Fix Exchange Jet Error 1811 & 1032. But these manual methods do not guarantee to keep data integrity. And you can also lose the information stored on the server.

Manual Method 3- Using Eseutil Repair Tool For Repairing Exchange Database

You can use the inbuilt tool of the Exchange server named Eseutil for fixing the damaged Exchange database. If you don’t know about the Eseutil repair tool here is a small overview of it.

What is eseutil used for?

ESEUTIL is the tool that is available for all Exchange server administrators. It can be used for various purposes like checking database status, repairing or defragmenting corrupt databases, and managing the database size.

In this tool, you’ll get 2 different soft recovery and hard recovery features for repairing the Exchange database. 

Solution No.1- Soft Recovery for ESEUTIL Jet Error 1811

Every user should prefer to use soft recovery first in comparison to hard recovery. There is no risk on the soft recovery and by this, you’ll be able to fix corruption-creating issues in the Exchange database.

Follow the below steps for performing Soft Recovery:-

  •  Here you need to open the ESEUTIL tool and enter this command Eseutil /r /d “<path to your database file>”
  • Here is the example:- Eseutil /r /d “M:ExchangeDatabasesDB01”

By entering all the above commands wait for few minutes to let the process complete. After the completion check the health status of the database by entering EseUtil with the /mh parameter command. And if the status is in a healthy state you can try to mount the database.

Solution No.2- Hard Recovery in ESEUTIL Repair Tool

If unfortunately, the soft recovery failed to resolve Exchange jet error 1811 then you can look for the hard recovery.

10 users are not able to access their mailboxes.

I ran Get-MailboxDatabase  & checked database is Dismounted. I tried to mount it but it failed. 

I ran ESEUTIL/mh

State: Dirty Shutdown

Next, I ran ESEUTIL /r

Operation terminated with error -1032 (JET_errFileAccessDenied, Cannot access file, the file is locked or in use)

 Please help it is urgent!

    Based on my knowledge, if the status of your database is dirty down, you need run eseutil/p to hard recover, this action will delete corrupted logs automatically, then you should run eseutil/r to soft recover, this action will replay logs, finally, remount the database.

    This error may be caused by a virus checker which mistakenly quarantine a file, or a backup process may temporarily deny access. A flat file backup system or antivirus software may be running against the database, the check file directories, or drive M.
