I’m following the deploy for GPO guide. I’ve done the «setup.exe /a» and created a basic admin image.
I’m now trying to install the resulting draw.msi from the image and I’m getting:
Error 2803.Dialog View did not find a record for the dialog SetupError.
The photoshop also errors but the shell install worked fine.
ideas? I’ve re-done the admin files to a local drive and tried the msi files from there and it doesn’t work.
if I run the files from the mounted iso it installs fine. (but I can’t deploy that as it has no license info)
The procedure hasn’t changed from older versions of CorelDraw so I’m hoping someone has run into this before..

Corel Support tell me that as I have the standard version, I’m not allowed to deploy…. Just no where is that written, in the instructions or the literature before purchase. I can only use the setup.exe..

Is there a potential packaging issue with the latest DB2 V11.1 Express C download?
Attempting to install DB2 V11.1 Express C on Win 7 Pro 64bit and install dialog fails with the following error (pop up box generated with the Error 2803):
Error 2803.Dialog View did not find a record for the dialog
Ran setup.exe as Administrator on a rebooted machine. Install was attempted several times. Same failure. This is a Windows 7 Pro 64bit install on a laptop. My understanding is that Windows 7 Pro 64bit is supported.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? Not sure if this indicates an environmental issue with security or a software issue. Have successfully installed DB2 10.5 Express-C on Win 7 Pro 32bit on a previous workstation with no issues.

Hi,
I have developed a web setup project that uses custom dialogs.
I have developed a custom dialog using orca and have successfully been able to add the dialog created.
But when i try to install its gives me the following error:-
The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package.
This may indicate a problem with this package.The error code is 2803.
I am not able to figure out where exactly the problem is.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

According to MSDN[^] this error means «Dialog View did not find a record for the dialog.».
I would therefore question the accuracy of your statement that you «successfully added the dialog».
Visual Studio includes the functionality to add limited custom dialogs to setup projects, and I have found them to work well. I would expect them to be sufficient for most applications.

First of all when i add the newly created custom dialog(created using orca) and build the project i dont get any compiler errors and i dont get any warnings as well.
But when i try to install the package the error i spoke about pops up on window and i have no idea about debugging it.

I have overcome this error this morning actually,but its quit strange as i didnt do anything much.
I once again created a new custom dialog this time again using orca and used it in my project and its goin good now.

Just had this error on one computer while installing the 2021 version of TurboTax. I installed it on a different machine without error. Long story short: Microsoft explains this error this way: «Dialog View did not find a record for the dialog [2].» For me, this was an indication that the Microsoft Visual c++ redistributables were not correctly installed. I found them here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170After reinstalling them, the installation completed without error. Hope this entry helps someone else with similar problems.
