Error404 is a core entity in V!Alphatale and a core entity in an event in the Chat Roleplay Discord Server. He’s dubbed by the V!Underverse inhabitants as the «God of the Multiverse» and is a rival to V!Alphatale Virus404 while also being the «Puppet Master».

Backstory

AFTER THE WAR

He had finally locked him away. After so long. All the hardships, all the struggles, he finally did it. 404, re-entering his Multiverse, saw who he has become. The nature of who he is now forbids him from having a happy life. All he could hope for now is to recover his brother and permanently destroy the Astral Mother.

Personality

Error404 is a complex individual to understand, often times becoming philosophical about reality and duties that he must upheld as an avatar and portrayed as a sociopath, carrying an uncaring coldness towards others who would manipulate the situation he is in to it’s last details, while showing authority and demonstrating power to remind those that he is the one on top of the food chain.

But during other times when he is alone, having a softer side to him he is a lost man who’s ultimate goal is to achieve happiness for everyone around him including himself. Once in a while the memories of his past gets the best of him, reminiscing his kindred memories when he spend what seems like a thousand lifetimes ago with his brothers and sister.

For the many years he has lived he has gained tactics and learnt from his past, stealing the tricks of those who manipulated him into his own, being able to fake emotions to where he even fools himself of believing his own falsehoods.

Not really caring for those who would insult him or his way of doing things, he allows himself to execute actions in what he believes is the most efficient and best way he knows while also not allowing others to hinder his actions.

Capabilities

Error404 is known to be the strongest being in the Multiverse as he is the Avatar of the V!Underverse. His capabilities on top of his strength and the countless fighting styles he knows, the only being in the multiverse capable of rivaling him is, of course, Virus404. He is extremely capable, he is able to counter most attacks and he is able to see one’s fighting style and adapt to it, making his victory more likely. Of course, some cases he will just deflect the attack using his abilities. Having mastered the use of his abilities due to the eons he has been with them, he is able to use them without having to make gestures at all however still making gestures out of instinct. Due to being made from the Multiverse code his stamina was increased significantly, practically making it unlimited. With the Mechanics on his arms being designed to be there to control his Titan Energy power since it can be very lethal, it is already clear that he is the Avatar. However despite all his power, he holds back significantly as he knows that he could very well destroy the whole Multiverse with his power. That’s why he primarily only uses his full power against Virus404.

One thing that holds his power back from his base reaching Hyperverse God: High Tier though, however, is his mentality. Due to his mentality being broken from his past trauma, his broken mentality prevents him from using more stronger powers such as Full Time Control, Mainframe Wing, Inter-Language, as well as greater speed and strength.

Appearance

404 wears a dark blue jacket with a white «S» on the back, a pink shirt, and black pants as well as blue sandles. His fur has been recolored to be white. 404’s bone color pallet is mostly white, blue, and black for both his hands. Both of 404’s arms are completely mechanical as his real arms are underneath the mechanics. These mechanics are so advanced it looks as if it’s just pure magic that seemingly cannot be re-created normally. 404’s real arms are just purely a light blue energy as his arms lost the skeletal physicality when he ripped open the Anti-Void.

[Quantum Gravity Mastery]

Also known as «Meta Gravity Manipulation», this is the Highest form of Gravity Manipulation and the Blue Mastery Level Restricted only for Avatars, this allows 404 to completely control and manipulate gravity and all forms of it, giving him all the capabilities of the Blue Mastery and more. This gives him all Cosmic and Gravity Based Abilities and even giving him power over Anti-Gravity. With this level of power, while he doesn’t entirely have control over Time as he’ll only have Time Control if he recovers his mentality, he is essentially given the capabilities to shape Universes at will. It’s thanks to this ability that he’s able to deflect incoming attacks from most beings in the Multiverse, however unable to do so if he’s battling someone at the same Power Level as him. While 404 is able to pull of these feats that allow him to destroy universes with a snap of his fingers, he told himself that he’d almost never use that level of power unless it was essential.

[Mind Wrap]

This Power is another Sub-set of Quantum Gravity Mastery affecting SOUL and mind, unlike regular Blue Mastery this is permanent until Error404 decides to stop or until his new puppet dies. This power will control you without you even realizing it. Example: Sans could be calmly talking to Papyrus, but in reality, he’s choking him to death.

[Mental Power]

Error404 can manipulate, modify and control the thoughts, mindsets, and brain functions, allowing the ability to render others unconscious, suppress their memories, and negate the use of abilities, increase/decrease mental capacity, modify minds to be agreeable, control minds, sway sensations to induce altered perception, bestow/heal mental disorders, create/penetrate mental barriers, etc. Does not work on Virus404.

[Power Generosity]

A Subset of the Mental Power ability, this allows 404 to give anyone a temporary power boost, whether it is to give King Multiverse a 30% Power Boost or give Alterer502 a 50% power boost. Alternately, 404 is able to merge one of his abilities with the ability of another, combining the strength of the attack for as long as 404 chooses.

[Great Knowledge]

From 404’s long lasting time in the multiverse and the information gathered from the panel, he knows almost everything of it. This also means that he knows all languages in the Multiverse.

[Combat Master]

Thanks to the Mainframe, 404 is a master of all types of martial arts, known or unknown. He’s able to utilize all of the martial with ease as well as being able to notice the small signals that tell what they’re going to do.

[Dark Blasters]

Powerful Blasters designed by the Astral Mother and tinkered with by the Mainframe, these blasters are able to destroy anything that they fire at. This beam is so powerful that it has the ability to override the code of God-like beings, bypassing any defenses to truly damage them as if they were mortals, completely erasing them unless they are to escape. The Skull of the blasters looks like that of Asriel’s Hyper Goner except there are lines under the eyes of the blaster and the jaw is blue. The blaster shoots out a dark blue beam with a black spiral circling around the beam.

[Titan’s Energy]

Using the Pure Mainframe Energy under 404’s mechanical arms, he is able to create beams, for range attacks or melee attacks, from his fingers that will kill anything and anyone who has god-like code or unordinary code from a regular AU character. To make you understand the strength of this ability, I can only say that it causes completely serious almost-Ultraverse level damage, exerting an extremely powerful negative effect or destroy them.

Titan Ray

The First shot of the Titan Ray paralyses the foe keeping them in a still and forever frozen position until the 2nd shot has landed while also dealing it’s damage. If the opponent cannot be paralyzed, they keep their code in a frozen spot forever. The 2nd shot attacks their being directly, making the damage of this shot 2 times more than usual. All God Ray shots after this deal the damage said above.

Bullets of the Titan

These bullets will obliterate any object with or without code as well as attack the code of any person directly if hit by these bullets. The damage of these bullets scale to High Tier Hyperverse level damage.

Titan’s Weaponry

Create any weapon from the energy which are almost as strong as the God Ray. While 404 is able to make any weapon with this ability, he commonly makes a whip as the whip is his primary weapon of choice.

[Multiversal Mechanics]

Error404 possesses mechanics on his arms which cover his Pure Titan’s Energy Arms as well as limit his power. If they were to be taken off then he will gain majority of his power back as well as some of his abilities. Without the Mechanics limiting him, his Base Power Level will increase to Hyperverse God: High Tier. His Titan’s Energy Arms will now have an outline 404 can turn off and on. The outline acts as a shield to allow other entities to safely touch his arms without being effected or damaged by the Titan’s Energy. Being able to turn the outline off and on, this allows him to switch between Safe Mode and Battle Mode.

Meta Time Mastery

Once his mechanics are removed, 404 will regain his power over Time, this time at the Avatar level giving him Meta Time Manipulation which was previously locked despite having the Quantum Gravity Mastery. Having power over Meta Time allows him to pull off even more feats than he was able to previously as if he combines this ability with his Quantum Gravity Mastery, he will be able to control many universes and even collapse thousands of universes at once.

Mainframe’s Wings

Without the limitations of the Mechanics and his mentality, 404 is able to use the Titan’s Energy to form wings that are able to shoot large beams of plasma shooting out of them that can cut through multiverses like butter. While these wings are one of his strongest abilities, he is unable to use them due to the mechanics on top of his mentality being broken.

Inter-Language Power

With the Mechanics on his arms, 404 is able to utilize the Inter-Language to lock up anyone in the Trans-Void. If the mechanics were to be removed from his arms, he would have the full power of the Inter-Language however he won’t have the knowledge to use it to it’s fullest.

[Anti-Void Bones]

These are absolutely indestructible black bones, 404 can invoke them in any quantity and any sizes. In the multiverse there is no armor capable of somehow protecting against them since they have tremendous penetrating power.

[Eye of the Mainframe]

Thanks to 404’s white and blue eye, once he activates the eye on any of his eyes he will be able to see from a few seconds to years into the future, predicting actions and events before it is done. If he activates it on both his eyes then he will also have 360 Degree Vision.

[Unopposed Strength]

404 has gained immense strength from both training and from the Mainframe, allowing him to be able to destroy multiple universes with his full strength.

[Multiversal Speed]

404 has speeds so fast he can travel from one side of the universe to another in all of 5 seconds. Because of his speed he is able to time travel if he wanted to.

[Immortality]

Being the avatar for the V!Underverse’s Mainframe, if Error404 is killed, the Mainframe will reanimate 404’s code, bringing him back to life.

[Avatar’s Panel]

404 is able to bring up a holographic panel which shows information about the entire multiverse, everything in the multiverse and everything that’s happening in the multiverse. While it is very difficult to navigate, this greatly contributes to how much he knows of the multiverse. Due to how advance the Panel is, it is only visible to Error404.

[True Code Manipulation]

This ability lets 404 manipulate code. He is able to create, edit and destroy anytime and anywhere. Due to his connection with the Mainframe, he is also able to use this to attack the code directly or make his existing attacks stronger.

Coded Wave

404 is able to use his mechanics to generate a spherical wave of energy that will hit their code with an unknown energy. While they are effected, it will look as if they are being electrocuted. Due to hitting the code, this ability can be very lethal to anyone.

Coded Breakdown

404 is able to add more of the Mainframe’s code into his arm causing it to glow which, when someone touches the arm, will overload their code causing the code to break down. This can be very deadly and in some cases even remove aspects of the person such as memories, abilities, etc. This will not work on beings with no code.

[True Code Immunity]

This ensures that he is protected from any code influence and manipulation. But also magic, mental, metaphysical attacks, (and so on) etc.

[Fiberglass Soul]

404’s SOUL is deflective against most forms of attack, making critical hit attacks the only ones that can damage 404.

[Pixelation Manipulation]

404 can manipulate the very air, turning the particles into small pixels, allowing him to form things out of any physical material. He can also use this on himself as a substitute for teleportation as well as using it to take the appearance of anyone he wants.

Main: These few Henchmen have their free will but still do what Error404 says just like with the right side Henchmen, but unlike them, the Main Henchmen are Error404’s closest allies, so they can also help him make tough decisions and the main henchmen often can command the Right Side and The Controlled Henchmen to do their bidding.

Right Side: They have Free will, but they must do as he says and come to his side when he says so.

Character Relationships

Infinity Code — Someone he needs to make sure doesn’t escape the prison created for him.

Ada (Godessa) — His greatest ally, he’s aware that she completely rivals Infinity Code. Other than that, they’re friends.

Virus404 — Previously Jack, in some ways 404 seeks to bring him back to Jack but he is aware that Virus404 is lost. Either way, if Virus404 causes trouble to the V!Underverse, 404 will have to attack him knowing very well they can’t kill each other.

The Astral Father — The Astral Father was Error404’s real parental figure until he went missing. Although he did forget about him because of the effects of the Void, thanks to some of his henchmen, he knows of his existence.

Astral Mother — She is the reason for my suffering and I will make her suffer for the rest of eternity.

Alpha!Crystal — Although he’s not close to her, he’ll consider Alpha an ally when necessary and knows that Alpha is a good person to talk to when he needs to vent his mood.

Actaeon — Although he’s not close to him, he’ll consider Actaeon as an ally when necessary. It’ll be nice to get to know him however.

Infected — They used to be brothers, now with the effects the Abyssal Being had on him, they aren’t as close anymore. Although Infected now has deep hatred for 404, they are now enemies.

King Multiverse — King Multiverse was created so he could keep the Underverse in control and keep the Astral Mother preoccupied. Although they wouldn’t be considered to be friends, they are willing to team up when it’s required. Other than that, KM made it clear that 404 and anyone associated with him were wanted.

Queen Multiverse — While 404 was close to questioning Queen about her attempt to rule the multiverse, he now simply tolerates her because KM decided to keep her around.

Error — 404’s developed a strange bond with Error, although his intentions haven’t been clouded by his role as a mentor for Error. The two have had their fair shares of arguments, yet in the very end, despite how much Error and 404 had been in distaste for one another, they end up having each others backs when the time is necessary.

Ink — 404 once wanted Ink instead of Error!Guest, but now only sees him as another Au protector. Although a great vessel and amazing killing and working machine, 404 can’t risk ink due to his unpredictability.

Loading — While they used to be at odds, they are now allies due to the Mainframe accepting 404 as their avatar. Loading is one of 404’s sources for information in the Multiverse.

Abyss!Guest — A protector of AUs that constantly likes to get in his way. Although Abyss thinks that 404 is trying to destroy the Underverse, 404 doesn’t see any reason to tell him otherwise.

Core!Sydney — 404 finds Core!Sydney interesting, though the previous introduction didn’t go well once 404 introduced himself in person, he and Core got along just fine, He kept his motives and plans away from Core but he still goes to her for information. Core and 404 grew close, but not too close for 404 feared to grow too attached to them.

Undertale!Astro — Although Undertale!Astro is one of the weakest Astro’s in the Underverse, he is one of the best sources for information on the main AU. That’s all 404 sees of Astro. A source of information.

OuterInk!Serif — OuterInk is a substitute ally for 404. When he hoped for Ink as an ally he got Error instead, he has now allied himself with someone who’s very similar to Ink. He could possibly be more useful than ink, seeing as OuterInk likes to travel between AUs.

Elliot — He has Emoti-Angels that are more collected and civil than the Emoti-Demons are. Seems like “Joy” likes to cause trouble and doesn’t follow the hierarchy. Emoti-Angels could possibly be reliable whereas the Emoti-Demons are not to be relied on.

XGaster — While he is useful for his future plans, he can sometimes act against 404’s orders which is annoying. A re-teaching of the hierarchy is needed.

The Skull Knight — While he’s never met Sebert, he has been warned by Loading that be could become a threat to 404’s plan. Loading now has a close eye on him but 404 is prepared to kill him if it is necessary.

Limits/Weaknesses

• Due to being the most wanted in the Multiverse, he is forced to be careful with where he goes if he does not want to cause any trouble in the multiverse.
• His care for Jack can be utilised by his enemies. Then again, he’ll most likely strike his hardest if someone does something to Jack.
• Since Error404 hasn’t faced Self-Actualisation yet, he is unable to show his true power nor is he able to summon his wings.
• Since Error404’s mentality is broken, his power level is the way it is. If his mentality was fixed however, his abilities get stronger and his base power level increases to Hyperverse God: High Tier. He also gains control over Space and Time through the Quantum Gravity Manipulation.
• 404 is still perfecting his knowledge of using the Quantum Gravity Blue Mastery ability, which means he is yet to be able to use it to it’s fullest extent. He’s close to perfecting it, however, due to the amount of time he has.
