При обновлении Intel_ME_Firmware_9.0.21.1462 — пишет, Error 8714: Firmware update not initiated due to file open or read failure. Что я не так делаю?

Он указывает примерные показатели, и он же сам меняет производительность от обновления FW, причём если почитать тесты топовых SSD на платформе LGA1150, даже слепой увидит что разница выше чем на LGA1155 ;)

я делал так:
разархивировал на диск С: , назвал папку 1
открыл командную строку от админа, далее пишем:
cd
cd 1
.flash_x64.bat
пошла прошивка.

Нужно разархивировать архив например на диск C:/ и запустить от админа flash.
Что тут сложного? если не получиться добавьте в бантике после @echo off команду pushd %~dp0

Я делал так:
1) распаковываю архив на диск С : , назвал папку me
2) проверяете версию своего ME — запускаетю cmd от админа, в нем — с:meMEInfoWin64 (проверку проходит)
3) бэкап — с:mefwupdlcl64.exe -save mybackup.bin (ошиба 8770, один раз получилось, но на сл. шаге 8714)
4) апдейт — с:mefwupdlcl64.exe -f me.bin (ошибка 8714)

Если можно, прошу по буквам. Я в этом 2 по 5…

И как запустить от админа flash?

правой кнопкой по нему и от админа :-) у меня так не получалось, получилось только как я написал выше
ты на 4 шаге не то запускаешь, надо батник запускать .flash_x64.bat

о, а я как-раз начинал ломать себе голову с тем как же это ставить. а тут уже готовенькое. спасибо.
все-таки фао по установке для дебилов(типо меня) не помешал бы. нас много но мы в тельняшках :)

Не получается пишет.
Error 8193: Intel (R) ME Interface : Cannot locate ME device driver . Папку распаковал на диск C запустил от админа файл .flash_x64.bat .Куда копать??? В инете описания установки не нашёл пишут что микрокод обновляется вместе с биос аида показывает версия h9. Через диспечер тоже не получается.

Значит не судьба, подобное вещи требуют хотя бы среднего знания работы с ПО и умения работать за ОS Windows.
У вас не стоят все драйвера в частности MEI без него обновления ME микрокода производится не будет, и вам нужно определиться что вам нужно ME обновить, микрокод CPU или и то и другое, h9 это микрокод проца.

Товарисчи, у всех панель избранного при обнулении CMOS не удаляется или это только у меня так? :-(
И еще… При переустановке винды на GPT надо че-нить с третьим дополнительным разделом делать (не виндузовским, который 128МБ, а который 100)? На MBR я удалял оба и винда все заново делала сама, это понятно, а здесь? Его можно удалить? Винда его создаст заново или это какая-то фишка GPT?

Да я ж не против. Просто заметил такой косяк, интересно разобраться… Сброс CMOSа, по идее, должен обнулять все полностью…

Hallo,

I have issues with my EliteDesk 800 G2 SFF. Sometimes it doenst wake up from standby and / or doesnt boot corretly. 

I read here: ( https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c05306753 ) that using the latest Bios and an older ME FW can cause these kind of problems. Also, I like to have a newer ME FW for security reasons.

So, I am running BIOS 02.28 Rev.A and WIn 10 1709. 

MEbx Version: 11.0.0.0005

ME Driver Version 11.7.0.1045 

At https://support.hp.com/de-de/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitedesk-800-g2-small-form-factor-pc/7633277 there are two files that are supposed to contain ME FW Updates: 

sp82476: Intel Corporate Management Engine (ME) Firmware Component 11.8.50.3425 Rev.A

Which contains the newest ME FW and is supposed to work unter x64 OS.

But I get this:

Which is much older and is suppoed to work only under efi shell.

I tried this one too:

Is there a step by step guide on hor to install the correct and ne Intel ME FW on my computer?

  • The ME controls various things in relation to your CPU & chipset.
    Rumor has it you also will need to be on an 8.x firmware version to use an Ivy Bridge-E CPU in your system.

    In FWUpdateLocal-Win64 (if OS 64bits) or FWUpdateLocal-Win (if OS 32bits), run the file «flash» and after reboot ;)

  • I can verify dklhs90’s findings. This can’t be flashed directly over version 7. It can be flashed over 8 fine though.

    Hmm… Somehow I got my hands on Flash image tool for 8.1.10.1286. Is it possible to flash 8.1.10.1286 over 7.xxxxx?
    Or the question should be, how the hell do i use this «tool»?

  • Just tried fptw64 does not fit.
    but if refresh mei an error into a brick board, can use bios2 to boot bios2 cover bios1 .

  • You misunderstood what I said. I don’t mean Windows version. Windows version (and windows in general) is irrelevant. You can’t flash this over a ME version 7 which is the default on the RIVE. You can only flash it on RIVE that has already been updated to ME version 8. Look for a previous thread by tistou as well (if I remember right) that has a post by Necrosan with a binary image and directions on how to upgrade to ME8. After you do that you’ll be able to update to this one as well.

    EDIT: DO NOT try to use fptw64 without knowing what you are doing. You will brick your board.

    That is what I thought too. Amma just read around forums to see how i can upgrade to any older version of 8.xxx before i try the latest.

    Move your mouse to the bottom left corner of the screen and right click, select «Command Prompt (Admin)». Windows 8 has a restricted admin accounts unless you change the local policy (one of the first things I do) or open the command prompt that way. From that command prompt flash.bat should run perfectly, provided that all files are extracted into the same folder.

  • Yeah I can’t get it to actually take. I’ve flashed it twice and after shutdown, restart, the ME version is N/A in the BIOS. I got worried so I just flashed back to .1286.

    Lost my Network card there for a bit too. Whew.

    Not sure why my board is any different.

    followed all the instructions to the letter. Who knows. I’ll try again later I guess if anyone has any suggestions as to why the firmware wouldn’t actually «take» or physically update on my board.

    I used : (Admin cmd prompt from within Windows 8 64bit)

    fptw64 -ME -F ME8_1.5M_Production.bin
    Flashes
    passes.

    MEInfoWin64.exe says there is no PCI something to communicate with the driver or some such. Or it’s not recognized as an internal command. Ok then. lol

    Flash.bat doesn’t work in admin or regular, I tried standing on my head, no go either.

    FWupdLcl64.exe is an Intel trolling me as it does absolutely nothing as you can see.

    WTF? So strange on Windows 8. I ran the cmd prompt from the metro UI in admin mode and then typed the above to the folder and ran Flash.bat and it worked. makes no sense at all. But it worked.

    All this is in cmd (Admin mode)
    First you back up: fptw64 -ME -D backup.bin
    Then you flash: fptw64 -ME -F ME8_X79_HED.bin
    (First you have to cd to where all the files are)

_Issue Description_

The laptop can’t shutdown/restart after running continually for a long time. (for example watching a 2-hours long movie which stops the laptop to sleep automatically)

and also when i set the «energy saver»: display never turns off(and also never sleep), then after several hours, if i click the shutdown button, the laptop can’t shut down.(normally it can)

what’s stranger is that when i click the restart button, but the laptop shut down actually(but it seems to be not really same as the normal shutdown, it takes a little bit more time)…

and if the laptop runs for a several hours and go to sleep automatically, then it can’t be woke up from the sleep state, yeah sleep to death…

_Solution_

Flash the Intel Management Engine Firmware in the Repo. Thank @savvamitrofanov for his solution commented in this issue #6 (comment)

It has been almost 2 years since we had this problem. Finally we made some progresses!

_Temporary Solution_

Force the laptop to sleep manually after the start of your laptop. After the power light turns orange, then wake the laptop up. After that, all the shutdown/sleep behaviours will be normal. The phenomenon as the description mentioned won’t appear again.

Цель гайда выжать из вашего Y500 все что можно и без ущерба.
Перед совершением, каких либо манипуляций, помните что вы, возможно, лишитесь гарантии на ноутбук. Если же вас это не беспокоит, прочитайте данный мануал хорошо и вдумчиво и делайте нижеизложенное на свой страх и риск.
Почти все наработки принадлежат svl7 можете накинуть ему на пиво и ноутбук =)

1. Создается загрузочная DOS-флешка
Вставляем флешку, запускаем файл HPUSBFW.exe, выставляем все параметры как на картинке (dosflash.JPG) и нажимаем START (все данные уничтожатся в процессе, так что заранее проверяем, нет ли чего важного на накопителе)

2. Создаем бэкап BIOSa
В папке «Fptw64» файлу fptw64.exe задаем права администратора (свойства => совместимость => выполнять эту программу от имени администратора => ок). Далее запускаем файл backup.bat. Если все прошло успешно, то увидим в консоле зеленую надписи и в папке появится новый файл BiosBackup.bin
Если же появляется вместо бэкапа появился файл error.log с вот такой ошибкой:

то следует отключить антивирус АВАСТ (правой кнопкой по значку в трее => управление экранами аваст => отключить на 10 мин) и опять запустить backup.bat

3. Установка модифицированного BIOSа
Для начала, вам нужно решить для себя какую версии BIOSa вы хотите прошить, а именно v2.02 или v2.04
При установке BIOSa v2.02 получите: разблокированный BIOS, возможность проводить манипуляции с частотой ядра GPU и частотой памяти GPU.
При установке BIOSa v2.04 получите: разблокированный BIOS, возможность проводить манипуляции с частотой ядра GPU, частотой памяти GPU и напряжением GPU
Сам для себя выбирал BIOS v2.04

3.1. Создание модифицированного BIOSа v2.02
Запускаем официальную прошивку offbios_v2.02.exe и следуйте инструкциям. Далее заходим в BIOS (при загрузке F2) у проверяем версию BIOSа и ECa (должна быть 2.02)
Загружаемся, создаем бэкап нынешнего BIOSa, как в пункте 2.
Файл BiosBackup.bin переименовываем в v202.bin и кидаем в папку Y500BiosFix
Запускаем Y500BiosFix (for v2.02).exe вводим сначала v202.bin, затем v202.rom и на выходе получаем файл v202Fix.rom (сие творенье есть наш модифицированный BIOS v2.02)

3.2. Создание модифицированного BIOSа v2.04
Запускаем официальную прошивку offbios_v2.04.exe и следуйте инструкциям. Далее заходим в BIOS (при загрузке F2) у проверяем версию BIOSа и ECa (должна быть 2.04)
Загружаемся, создаем бэкап нынешнего BIOSa, как в пункте 2.
Файл BiosBackup.bin переименовываем в v204.bin и кидаем в папку Y500BiosFix
Запускаем BiosFixer_2.0 (for v2.04).exe перетаскиваем v204.bin в окошко и получаем на выходе v204mod.bin (сие творенье есть наш модифицированный BIOS v2.04)

3.3. Использование готовых бэкапов
Так же в папке backup есть уже готовые бэкапы BIOSов от v2.00 до v2.04, НО бэкапы создавались на моей машине так что ставить вам их или нет дело ваше.
Описание бэкапов в файле readme.txt
Перед установкой бэкапов установите официальный BIOS соответствующей версии (offbios_v2.02.exe или offbios_v2.04.exe). Официальный прошивальщик наряду с BIOSом прошивает EC (вроде как контроллер клавиатуры)

3.4. Прошивка BIOSa
Берем загрузочную флэшку, которая создавалась в пункте 1, копируем на нее содержимое папки «to Flash», а так же копируем свой файл модифицированного BIOSа.
Заходим в BIOS => вкладка Boot =>выставляем Boot Mode на [Legacy Support] => выставляем Boot Priority на [Legacy First] => F10 и соглашаемся.
При загрузке тыкаем F12, пока не вылезет загрузочное меню, далее выбираем флешку и появляется командная строка
Вводим prr.exe и если не будет ошибок, то нажмите enter для продолжения
Вводим fpt.exe -f xxxx –bios (где xxxx название вашего БИОСа с расширением (например v204mod.bin))
и нажимаем enter для продолжения, процесс прошивки BIOSа пошел, по окончанию процесса появится зеленая надпись после которой нажимаем ctrl+alt+delete (для перезагрузки)
Заходим в BIOS и радуемся что видим много непонятных вкладок, в которых по незнанию ничего лучше не трогать.
Все теперь у нас есть возможность разгонять первый GPU

Никакие флешки с ДОСами теперь больше не понадобятся, теперь все делается непосредственно в операционной системе
Перед всеми манипуляциями для начала отключите режим SLI

Открываем папку «vbios650sli» или «vbios750sli», первым делом открываем readme.txt и ознакомиться какой бэкап вам нужен.
Сделаем бэкап текущего vBIOSa открыв файл vbios_backup.bat.
Запускаем файл vbios_flash.bat. Вводим название нужного бэкапа и нажимаем “Enter”, после некого времени послышится писк, на клавиатуре наберите “Y” и нажмите “Enter” по завершению процесса окно закроется, при желании можно перезагрузиться.
Проверить, что вы все сделали правильно можно программой nvidiaInspector.exe, при открытии посмотреть на 3ий пункт (BIOS) сверху должно быть написано xx.xx.xx.xx [MODIFIED] это для первой GPU, для второй GPU то же самое (если же вы конечно ставили модифицированный vBIOS)
Итого, если написано на обоих BIOSах [MODIFIED] то можно приступать к разгону.

Разгонять рекомендую программой MSI Afterburner конечно же в разумных приделах =) (350/600 предел для моей машины с 650ыми карточками)

Так же в папках «vbios650sli» и «vbios750sli» присутствуют bat файлы:
rom_version.bat – показывает подробную информацию файлов бэкапов, всех или на выбор.
vbios_version.bat – показывает подробную информацию установленной версии vBIOSa 2ой GPU.

Модифицированной версии vBIOSa от 28 октября (c поддержкой SLI в Windows 8.1) пока что еще не существует, но будем надеяться что svl7 все таки его сделает.
upd. svl7 так и не сделал обновление (но я думаю сделает рано или поздно), но его сделал Klem для GPU 650m и 750m. Проверил на Win7 (для 650m) гонятся частоты памяти и ядра, но не изменяется напряжение. Вариантов проверить мод для 750m GPU нет. Обновления под спойлером ниже, по возможности, как только появится мод от svl7 обновлю архив.

The ME controls various things in relation to your CPU & chipset.
Rumor has it you also will need to be on an 8.x firmware version to use an Ivy Bridge-E CPU in your system.

In FWUpdateLocal-Win64 (if OS 64bits) or FWUpdateLocal-Win (if OS 32bits), run the file «flash» and after reboot 😉

Купил ноут, с дуру отформатировал и поствил 2003-й. Ну профессиональная привычка 🙂 Теперь не могу найти родные дрова. На сайте http://www.vaio-link.com есть только для VGN-FE21H, а у меня VGN-FE21HR. Кстати так и не понял в чем разница. Дрова от VGN-FE21H подходят не все.
Может кто знает где можно найти полный пакет на VGN-FE21HR?

Все побелил кроме зинего зуба. Может кто подскажет где взять или кто поделится тошибовскими дровишками?
Все триальное в сети, а то что с сайта родного vaio скачал, даже рапаковываться не хочет, говорит нет прав. Странно. с чего это, хоть бы что спросил. а то нет и все.
Пробовал от widcomm, не получилось, не видит устройство.

О, еще вопрос, на который долго искал ответ 🙂
В общем, есть ноут — toshiba m700. В нем есть акселерометр, можно запустить программу 3-х мерного просмотра и увидеть положение жесткого диска в пространстве + его состояние(крутится или заблокирован). Также, он менял ориентатию дисплея.
Но из-за каких-то непонятных действий произведенных другим человеком вкупе с сц(месяца 3), где похоже меняли материнскую плату, оно больше не работает.
Причем в программе 3-х мерного просмотра пишет, что ноут не оснащен датчиком положения в пространстве. Однако, если его потрясти — в программе диск остановится. Но скорее всего это из-за того, что сам жесткий диск оснащен датчиком, который его блокирует. И винда об этом узнает.
Но! есть еще защита оптического привода, которая тоже от датчика включается. При этом можно добится того, чтобы заблокировать оптический привод(там, видимо, чуствительность выще стоит) но не жесткий диск. Так что акселерометр еще есть 😀 Но вот как его включить, не знаю 🙁
Кто-нибудь знает, в какую сторону рыть?

Собственно хотелось бы обновить драйвер, думаю, что при обновлении оного уйдет некоторый глюк, при котором виснет изображение, но все остальное работает, но нигде не могу найти сам драйвер и без понятия как он называется. Видео Mobile intel® 945GM Express Chipset Family. На офф. сайте просто пустая страничка с драйверами, а хотелось бы обновление. Да и нормальный драйвер, думаю, подускорил бы работу видео. Да и вообще интересует хоть какая то оптимизация этого ноута, 14фпс в WoWе это убожество какое то :thank_you:

So I’ve landed here to get some help with unlocking my old laptop. I must confess I’ve done few mods before, but it was on PCs, so was a piece of cake — adding Xeon to supported CPU models, or updating OROM to get a system boot from RAID SSDs. But now I’m trying do «the same» with laptop first time and this is a nightmare, mostly due to multiple BIOS vendors/methods, each of which requires own tools, some works with older revisions, some don’t, some require 32-bits, some don’t, and all YT examples being done using various configs = so in the end: a mayhem.

My laptop config is:
Lenovo B570e, i5-2520M, 10GB RAM
BIOS: 44CN43WW (latest, unmodified), SMBIOS 2.6
Phoenix/EFI SLIC Mod indicates it is an EFI/Insyde BIOS, but entering the BIOS I’ve got «Phoenix SecureCore Tiano» info
WLAN: original damaged, a replacement (by chip) doesn’t allow laptop to start — Error 104 Unsupported wireless network device.

All I’ve found so far was:
* Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0 — to make a BIOS dump file (succees)
* UEFI Tool — to load dump file, search required module and extract it (success)
* WinHex — to search an assembler code boundaries, and extract it (WinHex will not save edits = unregistered version), so semi-success
* Hex Editor Neo — to disassembly code, and probably make changes (so far: in progress:))

And I’ve stopped at searching the JZ/JNZ mnemonics, probably this is because I’ve got wrong code boundary (from WinHex), which gives improper disassembled program in preview pane. What I’m looking for is a loop, which I try to obey — regarding to some «popular» links describing this method (unfortunately I can’t follow these instructions 1:1 as some programs don’t work as supposed and crash — like WinHex, yup, some don’t work at all and I need to use different tool).
One more frustrating thing is I can’t find proper tool for final stage — which is good (working) flasher. I can’t remember how I’ve reflashed BIOS previously — must have been years ago — but now PhoenixUEFIWinFlash makes a BSOD (original, executable BIOS downloaded from Lenovo support website uses this program, which shows its GUI for a moment and makes BSOD), and «external», latest Phoenix UEFI WinFlash program doesn’t want to work properly at setting up stage. Probably I will have to use phlash16 and FreeDOS, but will see at the end, when I have modded BIOS completed.

Any suggestions (or even better — some ready, modded file), please ?

I’ve got a pretty weird problem with my M18x R2. I already searched the web but couldn’t find an answer. A few days ago I changed some settings in the bios, if I remember correctly DMVT Pre-Allocated.
After saving this setting the notebook refuses to even POST. I get no beep errors or anything. If I press the power button the system turns on, the leds turn on and then the system shuts itself off. I already reset the cmos, the IME, tested different configurations and so on. If I remove all the memory sticks I actually get the memory error code. At this point I’m pretty sure that the bios got corrupted for some reason when saving these mentioned settings. Did anyone had a similar problem and got a solution for this? I repaired lot’s of notebook but never had an error like this.
The Bios installed is the a15 unlocked.
