  • Hi, I am trying to logon to my test RDS 2016 host however I get told no desktop are available for logon and see the 802 logged on the Broker server, I cannot see this error documented, is anyone able to assist?

  • I Removed all Remote Desktop Services GPO settings other than profile and home directory and this resolved the issue.

    Please describe that how exactly RDS deployment is configured and how are users connecting to RDS resources.

    Are there any other error message logged? When the error is logged, do you see abnormally high usage of specific system resource? Is the server under heavy workload when the issue occurs?

    If possible please restart RDS server to test.

    Some other suggestions for you are to fully patch Windows systems, uninstall unnecessary printer drivers and third party applications.

  • Hi,
    RDS 2016 has just been installed and setup with two servers, all RDS roles are installed on one server then we have one RDHS Host.

    There are no other errors logged at the same time as the 802 error when trying to connect.

    System Resource usage on the RDSH is low (6GB RAM / 4 Processors @ 2.70 Ghz) no other users are logged on.

    Load balancing is enabled with one RDSH Server in the collection, Relative weight is 100, session limit is 5.

    I have rebooted both gateway and RDSH servers.

    Gateway has latest Windows updates

    RDSH cannot update due to an 0x8024401c which I am troubleshooting

    There are many printer drivers installed on the RDSH, I will remove them all to test this.

    I tried disabling Printer Redirection which did not fix the issue.

One of our customers had the misfortune of running into the following SQL server error message recently:

After careful analysis, our Support Techs have come to the conclusion that this specific error is due to a lack of memory for buffer pool allocation or buffer pool restriction when it comes to using memory beyond a particular limit.

We can resolve this by increasing the memory allocation to the SQL Server System. Fortunately, our Support Team is well-equipped to deal with errors like these.

How to resolve SQL Server Error 802

  1. First, head to the system memory utilization and check if any other application is using more memory.
  2. Then, check the min server memory & max server memory settings and ensure there is sufficient memory.

    We can access these settings by executing sp_configure procedure. Our Support Team recommends allocating 80% of the server memory to the SQL server via the max server memory setting.

  3. Next, confirm Lock Pages in memory are enabled on the SQL Server Instance.
  4. After that, it is time to validate the SQL Server version. For instance, if we are using SQL Server 2012, it offers only 64GB RAM. In case we allocate more than 64GB RAM, we are most likely to run into SQL Server Error 802.

    Hence, it is wise to reduce the max server memory value or upgrade the SQL Server to avoid the error.

  5. Then, take a close look at the SQL Server workload and answer the following questions:
    • Does the error occur during a particular time frame or operation?
    • Does the error pop up when a specific job or number of adhoc transactions go up?

    We can collect these details via memory clerks as well as DBCC MEMORYSTATUS T-SQL statements.

  6. Now, it is time to gather memory-related counters like SQL Server: Memory Manager, SQL Server: Buffer Manager,  Page Life Expectancy, and so on. You can refer to this article for further reference.

    Canon iR2870 — Scan to e-mail End Code 802

    Hi,

    I have a Canon MFD iR2870 with the Universal Send Kit installed and I have all the settings saved on this machine for «scan to e-mail» feature. But when I’m scanning a document it doesn’t send it and there is this error called that I can see on the Log of the machine. Initially I had the End Code error number 752 � but I have fixed that one (thanks to the information from this forum). Now the error details are as follows:

    Result: NG
    End Code: #802

    Nothing is sent and no details are shown about this error or why it doesn’t send. Also, I couldn�t find anything searching the Internet.

    Just wondering if there is anyone who knows what error 802 is or where should I consider to investigate/change on the settings to make it work. Any help would be much appreciated.

    802 means either the smtp server name or the dns server name is incorrect. For future refence, these errors can be found in the back of the user manual for send/receive.

    try this out
    Error :

    Symptom was that the machine would intermittently lock up when sending email. The machine would then have to be rebooted to bring back to functionality.

    A #802 was recorded when sending within the network and #806 when sending to the internet.

    Workaround :
    The solution was to increase data size to 99 for sending under:

    Additional Functions>Systems settings>Common settings>Email/I-Fax settings.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the replys and for the information provided.

    For 11X17: I have checked the SMTP server and the DNS and, so far, I couldn’t find anything. I will keep looking, expanding my investigation with other settings and tests. I have the manuals for this Canon machine and there is a «List of error codes without messages», but the problem is that this error 802 is not documented in there. Just as a note, the other error I had before (error number 752) is also not documented in there. As a result, can you please write the ‘Remedy’ or the ‘Solution’ for this error as described in your manual? Maybe that would give me some extra info… Thank you.

    For Mike: Thank you for the details sent. I have found and changed the settings you’re referring to but no luck: I still have the same error message 802 and the result as ‘NG’ — as it’s recorded on the machine’s log.

    As stated above, I will keep trying with the SMTP / DNS settings, maybe is something wrong there…

    Hi, everyone
    Thanks for all useful info posted here. But i still could not make «Scan to E-mail» to work in my office.
    I am using an IR3320i which connected on the network. We do not have an E-mail server just a Linksys router hooked up all computers an the modem which isp provided to us.
    I don’t know i can make scan2email work in this enviroment or not? If yes,
    which setting i must setup? Is it similar to setup outlookexpress or different?
    Any help would be appreciated. Thx inadvance!

    I’m sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I’m in almost the same exact situation asi702 was in. Did you ever get your problem solved? If so, what ended up being the problem? I’m about to pull my hair out in frustration!

    Apparently the send function was working, then just stopped one day. I looked and saw that the SMTP server was an IP address, which I assume changed and started causing the error #752. I installed an SMTP server on a local server and tried to configure the printer to that server and now get error #802.

    I set up a dummy email account in outlook express to make sure the problem wasn’t with the server and it sent emails without a hitch. All other network functions seem to work just fine, such as printing remotely, etc. Does anybody have any ideas?

    EDIT: After much frustration I finally changed the host name to the ip address of the SMTP server and got it working.

We have bunch of SQL Server 2012 Standard and SQL Server 2014 Standard database instances running on Windows 2012, each have different storage and memory. We are getting

Error Code: 802; There is insufficient memory available in the buffer pool

from 3 database servers when we build large SQL Server indexes, and it’s happening intermittently, once in 3 or 4 months. The same indexes run fine on servers with same version of SQL Server and only 1/3 of memory and CPU.

SQL Server 2012 Standard

Server1: memory — 110GB allocated out of 128 GB version 11.0.6 — «Error Code: 802; There is insufficient memory available in the buffer pool.» reported when we run heavy index.

Server2: memory -78GB allocated to SQL out of 96GB version 11.0.6 — «Error Code: 802; There is insufficient memory available in the buffer pool.» reported when we run heavy index.

Server: memory allocated 18GB out of 24GB. VM. No indexing error — 11.0.5

Server : memory 24GB out of 32GB. Physical. No indexing error — 11.0.5

SQL Server 2014 Standard

Server 1 : memory 56GB out of 64GB physical memory version 12.0.5 — «Error Code: 802; There is insufficient memory available in the buffer pool.» reported when we run heavy index.
