Your kext setup is a mess. You have 4 different ethernet kexts and 2 different PS/2 kexts. Use only one of those. Also, your config.plist has too many useless fixes/patches and in the ACPI section, it is missing important settings such as SMBIOS and drivers64UEFI is not as per guide.

    I am building my first Hackintosh using Mojave 10.14.5. I used the vanilla guide as recommended on this subreddit. I am seeing errors after the Clover bootloader and before the Mojave install begins. The verbose messages read:

    Start UncompressKernelCache

    ERROR!!! Uncompress prelinked kernel

    ERROR!!! Load prelinked kernel with status 0x8000000000000007

    Error loading kernel cache (0x7)

    My specs are:

    CPU: Core i5-9400F

    GPU:Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB

    Motherboard/Laptop model:Gigabyte Z390 M GAMING

    What guide/tool followed: Vanilla for Coffee Lake https://hackintosh.gitbook.io/-r-hackintosh-vanilla-desktop-guide/ I also used Install Disk Creator, the latest version of Clover, and Clover Configurator

    What part I got an issue with: Clover bootloader into Mojave installer

    What files/config I am using: recommendations from Vanilla guide

    Extra Info: The CPU does not have a iGPU, but it should still work through the dGPU based on other posts. My build only has USB 3.0 and higher. I adjusted the motherboard BIOs as recommended from the vanilla guide. My SSD is not formatted yet.

    EDIT: I solved the problem by removing AptioMemoryFix-64.efi and adding OsxAptioFixDiv-64.efi. This could be because of the motherboard or the CPU. I also updated the BIOS on the motherboard from F4 to F6 (for support of 9th generation Intel CPUs; the motherboard ships with an outdated BIOS). Also, I did not have to include NoVPAJpeg.kext (formerly needed for CPUs lacking an internal GPU). The OS install worked fine.

    HI,

    I’d really appreciate some help.

    I have a 2009 27″ iMac running Yosemite and it recently decided to experience the prohibited sign on startup.

    I cant start it in safe mode, and in verbose it gives error loading kernel cache (0x7) then starts in recovery mode.

    I’ve saved my files via target disk and tried repairing the disk and permissions with no luck.

    I did a reinstall from online and it booted fine, but the next time I restarted it’s gone back the the prohibited sign?

    Help?

    «Avast» is the worst of the whole wretched lot of commercial «security» products for the Mac. Not only does it fail to protect you from any real danger, it may send personal data (such as web browsing history and the contents of email messages) back to the developer without your knowledge, give false warnings, destabilize and slow down the computer, expose you to network attack, and corrupt the network settings and the permissions of files in your home folder. Removing it may not repair all the damage.

    Some versions of the product also inject advertising into web pages. In short, apart from the fine print in the license agreement, Avast is indistinguishable from malware, and is arguably worse than any known malware now in circulation.

    Back up all data, then remove Avast according to the developer’s instructions. Restart.

    If you tried to remove Avast by dragging an application to the Trash, you’ll have to reinstall it and then follow the instructions linked above.

    Hello frustrated, what the below quoted code says is that #1, created a valid cache (that’s good) #2 when it tried to update the symlink to point to it that process failed.

    to resolve that error, from ether single user mode ( -s boot mode) or the recovery partition run this list of commands.

    (CAUTION: both of these modes by default will give you SUDO access to the system be very carful what you type.)

    Thanks, the links was useful. But I am not getting any solution. The tutorial there does not account for the fact that the user needs SUDO permissions. 

    I ran with sudo and here is what I get…(not what the OP of that tutorial gets)

    this list of commands is slightly different from the ones in the aforementioned guide, but they do basically the same thing.

    the differences are that I took your Volume name to customize them, and that I forced the rebuild of your system cache after deleting the prelinkedcache. this has the effect of having the kext cache manager look for where these files are missing from and rebuilding them in my experience.

    Have seen this mentioned in the troubleshooting section of the readme but with no further info. I have followed the guide letter for letter, but install crashes on boot with this eroor or occasionally seed related error. Have tried various versions of Aptio fix with no joy, have also tried unibeaat Uefi or legacy boot version as well all have crashed out the same way. Any further info anyone can offer..

    Hey @graysham, I also face this error from time to time, I lately switched from OsxAptioFixDrv to OsxAptioFix2Drv I had the impression the error occurs less frequently then. To pass this error I need to restart multiple times — so my advice is to keep trying restart until it passes with showing a uuid. Also try restarts with power off. I don’t know what causes the kernel cache to crash, I noticed little system changes like hardware or Bios-settings can cause this error, but it also occurs from cold-boot too.

    This continue to be an issue after install too, but it doesn’t occur often and if it most passes after the first or second restart. But finding a permanent solution would be nice! With OsxAptioFixDrv more restarts were required if I remember correctly. But I guess you tried all OsxAptioFixDrv versions? What is your clover version?

    Clover I have tried the newest one and whatever version is currently bundled with unibeast. I have tried every version of aptiofix I can find and have either hit kernel
    Cache error or seed related error thus far with no successful boots into install. Have removed ram apart from two in slots 1 and 3. Removed all drives except target and made sure it’s only in the gray sata slot.

    Do you have exactly the same mainboard? Which version is your Bios? I will update working bios settings soon, maybe you can check out yours?

    I have the normal p8p67 as opposed to the pro, bios version 3602, however have seen people who have successfully set up with this motherboard following your guide. Bios settings I have looked at yours and other guides; disabling Bluetooth, usb 3.0

    Using aptiofix3 I get past kernelcache 90% of the time and hit randomseed error, any tips on that one? I have tried mapping my ram through smbios, does not seemed to have helped.

    Do you use the config.plist from the repo? What SMBios do you use? iMac17,1 Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4GHz is working good for me.
