Error loading match results

Just checking how many people have errors after the multiplayer matches or disconnects.

Match results are not recorded, as well as daily achievements and etc.
Yesterday we’ve lost 2h FFA play due to this :/

I keep getting «Connection lost, reconnecting.» followed by «Successfully reconnected.» regularly, didn’t happen at first but now it happens every game and commands take 5-10 seconds at times or even longer. One game de-synced completely. East US server mainly.

I don’t have connection issues with anything else.

Edit: Seems to have resolved, power cycling my modem/router helped or something else changed.

I have errors after matches almost every time. And yes no replays. The matches just don’t count. I’ve noticed that it happens mostly after rather long matches. Say if it lasts more than 40 minutes it will almost for sure not be counted.
I’ve written a couple of posts and not a single reply on them. Seems like just a few of us have such a problem. Weird.

2 hours to finish.

I’ve also found on aoe forums that some software can block access to aoe servers, what results in similar error. Not my case, however

🛠 Manually Check for Windows Updates
While your Windows Updates may be set to automatically install, it is possible that these updates failed to install properly, or that an essential update was skipped. Please confirm that you are on Windows 10, build 19043 or better. If you are on an earlier OS version, or a preview version, you may run into issues.

If you are on Windows 11, please continue with the troubleshooting advice below.

🛠 Manually Update Visual C++ Redistributables
You can find these files HERE.

If you are using a 64-bit Operating System, download the vc_redist.x64.exe file.
If you are using a 32-bit Operating System, download the vc_redist.x86.exe file.
Please Note that Age of Empires IV requires Win10 64-bit as part of its minimum technical requirements, if you are running a 32-bit version, you may not be meeting min-spec.

🛠 Add the Game to the Allow List of Windows Antivirus Programs
Check that the game is on the Allow List for Windows Defender, Windows Security, and Windows Controlled Folder Access. This process may require additional steps if you have any additional Antivirus programs running on your machine.

Search for and open «Controlled Folder Access» from the Windows Search Bar
Click Allow a program
Locate RelicCardinal.exe from among the recently blocked programs
Select allow program
Windows Security

Search for an open «Windows Security» from the Windows Search Bar
Go to Settings > Protection History
Locate RelicCardinal.exe from among the recently blocked program
Click Actions > Allow
Windows Defender

Search for and open «Control Panel» from the Windows Search Bar
Go to System & Security > Allow an app through Windows Firewall
Locate the RelicCardinal.exe from the list of apps
If not listed, click Allow another app, then locate RelicCardinal.exe
Checkmark both Private and Public settings
Click OK

🛠 Check Your Antivirus Settings & Quarantined Files
Some antivirus programs may prevent the game from launching, or may quarantine critical game files during downloading. Check your antivirus settings to make sure the game is not being blocked.

Add the game to any allow-list feature in your antivirus program. (Note: some antivirus programs may remove the game from the allow-list when it is updated. Double check that the game is still on your allow-list!) The steps for this process will differ based on your antivirus program.

If the game is on the allow-list for your antivirus programs, please see if temporarily disabling the program allows the game to launch. If it does, then your antivirus program could still be blocking the game from accessing critical files.

🛠 Manually Update Graphics & Audio Drivers
If your graphics or audio drivers are out of date, or missed a recent update, this may be causing the issue. Steps for this are going to differ between driver makes and models. If running an update checker does not find any updates, please manually check with your driver manufacturer’s website to see if you need to run a manual update.

🛠 Check that you are Running DirectX 12 and have a Compatible GPU
Especially if you are seeing a gray-screen before the crash, check that your machine is running DirectX 12, and that your GPU is compatible with that version of DirectX as well.

Go to the Start Menu and type «dxdiag» and press Enter
On the System Tab, under System Information, look for your DirectX version number to confirm you are running DirectX version 12
Next, go to the Display Tab, under Drivers, look for your Feature Levels number
If the Feature Levels starts with 11 or lower, then your GPU may not be compatible with DirectX version 12

If you are not running DirectX 12 OR your GPU is not compatible with DirectX 12, then your machine is not meeting the minimum technical specifications for this game.

Check your driver update and windows update, check in Nvidia overlay change fan speed to automatic and look GPU temperature.
Test others game have same issues? If you have same issues your GPU need checked.

I did all of that, everything seems fine but I’m getting really low cpu utilization for some reason

You need setting in BIOS to default, don’t setting CPU manual in BIOS if you don’t understand how to overclock, just use default setting.

I did, it seems every game I play is 30fps and below now. It’s not just AOE4. This is so weird.

Error loading match results

1) Launch Dota.
2) Run console (enable it in Advanced game options).
3) Type net_force_steamdatagram 1 and hit Enter.

This should work when;
you try to find a match, you can accept the match — but then it won’t allow you in the lobby.

please keep in mind, you have to do this before EVERY match.

How to find the console:

launch dota, go to settings -> options -> advanced options -> and the last option on the check boxes on the left. thats where u enable the console. (restart dota after you enabled it)

Now, the standard key to open the console after you have it active, is usually (back slash), on a qwerty keyboard its usually somewhere around your backspace button. but you could also check your hotkey settings.

It also works to change region before looking for a game, atleast it works for me and many others 🙂

Запуск игры
1. Скачать в любое удобное для вас место (главное чтобы на пути к папке с игрой не было кириллицы)
2. Удостоверьтесь что у вас установлен Microsoft Store и приложение Xbox (без них запустить игру не получится)
3. Включить Режим разработчика (Параметры — Обновление и безопасность — Для разработчиков — Режим разработчика (Вкл)) [поясняющая картинка]
4. Запустите (НЕ от имени администратора) файл AoEIV.bat из папки Age of Empires IV, дождитесь окончания процесса, закройте окно
5. Запуск игры из меню Пуск [поясняющая картинка]
6. Войдите в аккаунт Xbox когда игра попросит об этом (используйте фейковый аккаунт)
7. Язык игры зависит от вашего языка системы

После всех произведенных манипуляций просто запускайте игру через Пуск.
Чтобы удалить игру из системы зайдите в Параметры — Приложения, выберите Age of Empires IV — удалить. После чего удалите все файлы игры с компьютера.
