I have no idea what I’m doing wrong here. I tried everything I listed above to no avail. I tried searching these forums and google and found nothing but people saying to search (pretty ironic, huh?). I have also tried adding an exception in firewalld which had no effect. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Дело в том, что я не хочу чтобы сервер сам запускал какие-либо голосования за смену карт или менял сам карты. Я хочу чтобы только Администраторы могли менять карты или через rtv игроки.
Что делать в данном случае?

Если идет голосование значит стоит плагин MapChooser удали его
Чтобы игроки меняли карту нужно установить плагин Rock the Vote
Чтобы сервер сам не менял карту если у тебя установлено например

Ran into a weird situation that I was hoping someone could explain more fully to me.
We have a rather simple PHP site that is using session_start() to record some data between pages. We had this up and working fine on one server (OS X) and then switched to another server (Windows Server2008). It started causing «500 internal server error» messages on this new server.
The PHPinfo results between the two servers were nearly = No Value.
However, in trying to identify more exactly what was going on (as IIS merely reported the HTTP error message, and nothing about the PHP error), I set the «error_log» path to a file somewhere. This seemed to make something happy, because PHP started to work as expected. It was NOT throwing an error anymore from the session_start() call! There were no errors in the log file at this point.
So it seems that merely being able to HAVE a log file available made it happy and it stopped causing errors. Can someone help me understand what is going on in the background there?

Завершает текущую сессию и сохраняет её данные.
Данные сессии обычно сохраняются после завершения выполнения скрипта без необходимости вызова session_write_close() . Поскольку данные сессии заблокированы для предотвращения одновременной конкурирующей записи, только один скрипт может работать с сессией в любой момент времени. Из-за этой блокировки, при использовании фреймов вместе с сессиями, фреймы будут загружаться по очереди один за одним. Можно уменьшить время загрузки всех фреймов путём завершения сессии сразу, как только будут выполнены все необходимые изменения переменных сессии.
Возвращаемые значения
Возвращает TRUE в случае успешного завершения или FALSE в случае возникновения ошибки.

You can have interesting fun debugging anything with sleep() in it if you have a session still active. For example, a page that makes an ajax request, where the ajax request polls a server-side event (and may not return immediately).
If the ajax function doesn’t do session_write_close(), then your outer page will appear to hang, and opening other pages in new tabs will also stall.
An easy gotcha here — the $_SESSIONS superglobal does not vanish because you call session_write_close. If subsequent to the write_close call if you manipulate the superglobal the changes will not be saved when the script exists. Likewise a call to session_regenrate_id will fail.
Closing the session and then manipulating session variables is not something many would do by intent. However, if your sessions suddenly start misbehaving, failing to record changes etc it is well worth checking that the cause is not this one!
Workaround if session_write_close() still doesn’t write sessions fast enough:
I found with one PHP login system that even session_write_close() was not setting the session variables before I transferred pages with a Location: header. So the user would log in, I would create the $_SESSION variables, call session_write_close() and then transfer to the secure page using header(Location. ). The secure page would check for the session vars, not find them, and force the user to log in again. After the second login the session would be found and they could continue.
My workaround was to create the $_SESSION variables with 0 values before writing the initial login page. Then I updated the session vars with the login results and used the header() function to switch to the secure location. Once the session vars have already been created, updated values are assigned quickly. Problem solved. Just be sure the secure page checks both that the $_SESSION var exists AND that it’s not 0.
As we all know, if an object is serialised, then the class definition must be included _before_ it is unserialised.
My framework has an enormous number of class files, and including them all at the beginning of the script was really taking it’s toll on my system (memory and execution time) so I switched to including required classes at the top of each class file that used them using require_once.
This caused problems because I start my session at the very beginning of my script’s execution, but all my class files aren’t there at the beginning!!
So no in my special ‘require’ function, I do the following:

This is a considerably smaller performance hit that including every class that the application uses at the very beginning of the application.
i have been using a mysql database custom session handler (not using cookies) and was having problems getting the session data to be saved consistantly on my database driven website
clients also have to navigate across domains for website management at times so i have some special code to make all this happen relatively seamlessly and to ensure that each person’s data is secure.
i added session_write_close() at the very end of the last script that set session data and solved the problem.
i am not sure why, but it seems the calls to write and close were not always being made (i was not smart enough to figure it out)
now that the session_write_close() call is being made, my problems seemed to have disappeared — hopefully for good.
hope this helps someone.
Beware, if you overwrite the default PHP Session handling and use debugging code inside the write() function, the debugging code is not executed until you run session_write_close().
I tried everything, file logging directly from the write() function, global debugging variable increments, static class properties. The only things written were the session open() and read() calls. My debugging code looks like this:

where getDebugInfo simply returns self::$debug_Info. Without session_write_close() the sessions.log would only contain the open() and read() calls.
Maybe intuitive to many, it took days to realize. hope it helps!
Why this function is highly important? I explain.
In a nutshell, how session works:
Client side: php is sending back to the client, a cookie with the id of the session. So, the session ends when the server ends to process the script and not when session_write_close() is executed. So, using session_write_close() for fast saving the session in the client side is useless unless you are ob_flush() and flush() to the customer.
Server side: It could be changed but the normal behavior is to save the session information in a file. For example:
**This file is usually locked**, so if two sessions are trying open at the same time, then one is freezed until the file is unlocked. session_write_close() ends the lock.

If we run this code in two processes (using the same session, such as two tabs), then one will return 3 seconds while the other will return 6 seconds.
Its caused because the first process lock the session file.
However, changing to:

both files runs at 3 seconds.
For PHP 7.0 and higher, we could use session_start(true); for auto close after the first read.
This operation is highly important for AJAX when we used to do many operations in parallel by using the the same session
You can easily make a cool chatbox without using frames and subdomains in combination with SSE (server side events), using for example a ‘while(true)‘ loop..
Using session_write_close() prevents the session being locked (because the request ‘never’ ends (maybe after a minute or two.. but otherwise the page would hang).
So you can make a chatbox without shell access on shared hosting, you just need to make a ‘output all clients the new messages’ function for the SSE stream and code a few lines of javascript. Read up on SSE.
Obviously need a good caching or fast database with a lot of clients, because everyone will spawn a new stream connection. (in contrast to push mechanisms which will require at least a cron job on shared hosting).
I had a problem with realizing the restore password form. First a user entered his login or e-mail in the system.
Then the script searched the database, got the session data, and sended link with SID to registered e-mail. The link was configured so, that it restored session data and logged user in the secure interface to the change password form.
Then was displayed a page with the message about sended message.
The problem was that ID was not unique in three pages, the SID sended to e-mail anyone could see in cookie.
I tryed to start new session before generating and after sending link with the code:

The trouble was that SID was the same even after session_unlink() and session_write_close(). The session_start() function just restored the previous session data. So the script was not safe.
Then I added session_regenerate_id() call after each session_start().

And now it works as needed! The SID sending to user we cannot see in cookies nor before neither after generated link, but the data is saved in session with this id. So only the owner of account can get it!

I’m no stranger to Linux server administration, but I’d probably still consider myself an amateur compared to some of the very skilled out there. I’m familiar with TF2 server administration to a fair extent, and have been doing so on our community’s server for a couple of years now, and I’m familiar with the newer stuff since the switch from hlds to srcds, though I don’t think the latter applies to The Ship.
Anyhow, we recently got into The Ship, and I decided to throw a server up since there’s only one server with users seemingly, and it lags and isn’t even on Hunt.
Anyhoo, I downloaded the server onto my box:

a 64-bit Debian Squeeze VPS with Linode, 4GB of RAM and 4 vCPUs:

and it wouldn’t even connect to the master servers. I did some googling, and came to find that the binary that Steam supplies (~/hlds/theship/bin/engine_i686.so) does not connect to the proper master servers, and got the bytes that I needed to patch ( http://forum.i3d.net/hlds-valve-linux-newsletter/190790-hlds_linux-ship-freeze-start-server.html ) to get the server working:

I did that, and the server booted up just fine. Very shortly into gameplay, a jerk came on, flaming other people and ignoring the game mode (i.e. killing everyone and having a very low amount of money; we disabled the kick for this since it really can happen accidentally, and we wanted to judge on a per-situation-basis), and after asking him to stop and him cursing at me, I decided I wanted to ban him. I did and rcon_password and an rcon, only to find the password I set for some reason didn’t work (it ended up being the double quotes wrapping it that the default server.cfg provides for some reason).
Anyhow, it took around two minutes for me to get him banned, and I decided that I wanted sourcemod. I grabbed the newest metamod:source (mmsource-1.9.0-linux.tar.gz), as well as the newest stable sourcemod (sourcemod-1.4.6-linux.tar.gz), since the sourcemod wiki alleged that even the newest versions should be compatible with The Ship, since it’s based on Source Engine. I have, however, also tried with the newest (at the time) dev version (sourcemod-1.5.0-hg3657-linux.tar.gz), but without any different (near as I can tell) results.
It started crashing, even with basic configurations. I’m not running any special extensions, and I had a few non-standard plugins enabled (godmode.smx rules.smx sum.smx vbping.smx), but began disabling them in an attempt to debug (disabled rules.smx sum.smx and reservedslots.smx since it was kicking humans before bots, and we have yet to have a full server).
Once I got debug working (had to install gdb), I got a few crash logs:

Anyhow, if you’ve gotten this far, I really appreciate you reading everything, and sorry for the long post. I’m trying to be thorough so as not to upset anyone donating their time. I apologize in advance if I’ve left out something important, or done something incredibly stupid that might be causing this issue. Let me know if there’re any tests or commands you want me to run (but be prepared to explain what they do if I don’t recognize them — I’ll also be checking Google to see if it agrees with you!).
Also, I’ve replaced all instances of «/home/<my username>/» with simply «~» — both sans quotes — more paranoia than a security issue, I’m aware. Nothing of mine is outside of my home directory though, so it shouldn’t affect anything.
Thanks in advance to anyone with any insight, and to anyone else who read everything. =]

Take away the 50:
That is not needed on the flags. Make a new one named «immunity» and add that. So the modified version will look like this.

Doesn’t sound like you properly edited your file. It is detecting :50 as flags, when it needs to be in a separate immunity section like in the example posted.

Nope, I did EXACTLY what you said. In fact I even read over what you posted above to check it was all corresponding with my admins and flags, and it was.. so I even copy and pasted it in. Exactly like above. Didn’t change a thing.

Hey guys, long time reader first time poster, the wealth of info on here has helped me out tons.
However, I’m posting because my server is having a ton of crashing problems. I’ve just recently wiped it and started fresh with Sourcemod 1.2.4/MetaMod 1.7.1
I have a fairly minimum amount of plug-ins running as I am in troubleshooting mode and I’m kinda stuck here. I know it probably is plug-in related but I’m still learning mdmp files and what not so any help I can get would be very appreciated!
I’ll also be posting this on the sourcemod forums to see if the answer lies in there. Our server has been rapidly gaining popularity lately and I really need to get everything stable again.

Did you run the server with no addons to see if it still crashes? It is most likely a mod that you have, perhaps one of the addons for sourcemod? Try adding one at a time and give it time between them to see if it crashes, if not, add another until you find the one crashing the server.

I have been doing all of the above. I’m just sort of at a loss.
It ran rock solid when it was vanilla. So it’s definitely a sourcemod deal. I just can’t make sense of mdmp files.

Still crashing, I’m just grasping at straws here now.
I’m still getting mdmp’s pointing to the engine.dll and I’m not sure really whats causing the crash at this point.

Find the Anti-Flood plugin zip download, and delete all files in your SRCDS that are in the zip archive for that plugin. That will be a rock solid way to get it fixed.
