Hi there,
You don’t appear to have any sessions configured.
What do you want Thinstation to do?

I want to run Vmware View client when using Thinstation
21st February 2011, 11:04 AM #6
Have you downloaded a build of thinstation which has the open view client installed within?
I’ve not done this before so I will let someone who has explain more.

Yes, i use this site: :: ThinStation — a light, full-featured thin client OS :: to build Thinstation and surely i add Vmware view in this pakage.

The .txt file extension is invalid: thinstation.conf.network is proper

I know that. The forum doesn’t accept .network file extension for upload

OK, but then you have to study your tftp server’s log and Thinstation’s /var/log/boot.log as you thinstation.conf.network obviously does contain a valid session and it equally obviously isn’t received by the Thinstation client.
And frankly it isn’t very smart not to have a safe fall back in thinstation.conf.buildtime as you don’t have.

I also had a similar issue, I tried various things, but I believe I resolved this by only having the minimum of drivers during the build i.e. rather than put in a whole load in the hope one works, try them individually! It seems if you have too many it doesn’t work……..

Riiight! Possibly conflicting drivers may result in a «No valid session»?! Sure you didn’t come across a black cat the day before? Or broke a mirror?
And I thought edugeek was for educated geeks…
Of course you should never include more drivers than necessary — that’s the entire point of a thin client — but this type of wild claims is unserious. Driver conflicts will NEVER result in a «No valid session». It can result in all sort of other problem, but not this. The LiveCD works just fine and it includes everything and the kitchen sink.

@KME — I take great offence at your post. Whether or not my post is technically correct, the manner in which you post is not in keeping with the spirit of this forum….

I’m running into the same error. I’m attempting to create a VMWare View workstation based on ThinStation. I’m using TS-o-Matic to create my builds. Currently my testing is only with CDs. Basically I just burn the CDs. I haven’t tried the whole PXE Boot etc.
My feeling is that this error is based on a driver. I think this because I download the current LiveCD for VMWare View and it work fine in my Lenovo T61. Connected to VM and everything. When I use the CD with my HP T5135 I get the no valid session type. I’m thinking it just doesn’t know how to communicate with the internal network card(NIC).
I tried using TS-O-Matic to create a build with all network drivers included but that did not work. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to try next?

При использовании TSOM с it-advisor.ru вываливается ошибка No valid session type. Я так понимаю не цепляется локальный конфиг. Ах да, загрузка идёт с флешки. Само собой в buildtime.config указываю NET_FILE_ENABLED=Off и |

Скорее всего нет настроек сесии, типа: SESSION_0_TITLE="Big Bad Server Donald" SESSION_0_TYPE=rdesktop SESSION_0_SCREEN=1 SESSION_0_SCREEN_POSITION=2 SESSION_0_RDESKTOP_SERVER=192.168.1.1 SESSION_0_RDESKTOP_OPTIONS="-u user -p password -a 16" SESSION_0_AUTOSTART=Off Вы хоть конфиги свои покажите. |

Что-то даже в голову не пришло. Конфиг использую один и тот же у же давно. И, опять же со сборкой NIXT всё работает. А здесь он именно его не использует. NET_USE_DHCP=off NET_USE_TFTP=off NET_IP_ADDRESS=192.168.1.136 NET_MASK=255.255.255.0 SCREEN=0 WORKSPACE=1 AUTOSTART=On # Для нескольких сессий выбрать off.

SESSION_0_TITLE="terminall server 201" SESSION_0_TYPE=rdesktop SESSION_0_SCREEN=1 SESSION_0_RDESKTOP_SERVER=192.168.1.201 SESSION_0_RDESKTOP_OPTIONS="-u ''" при сборке вбить или на tftp хранить? |

При сборке если вбить, потом гемор с редактированием будет. Сейчас мониторы на 1366*768 начали ставить, а сними гемору не оберёшься. TFTP ставить не хочу. ибо надо всё переделывать и само-собой в нерабочее время) |

Hi,
I have an issue with «ConfigServer Security & Firewall»
On my PC I get this error when open it:
Security Error: No valid session key
Information saved to [/var/lib/csf/da1608465420.error]
But in my smartphone it’s working.
So what is the problem and how can I fix this?
It wasn’t like this before.
Thanks.

Can you try connect with your IP and check result,
because you should use subdomain with DA and not use www.domain.com as your DA Panel

Yes, with the direct IP it’s working, but with the domain it’s not.
How can I fix this?
As I said, until now it was ok with the domain.

I’m using CustomBuild, and I don’t have any update there, So I guess I already have the last version of CSF.
I updated yesterday one of the plugins or something but I don’t remember which one was it, maybe «letsencrypt.sh.2.0.10».
And maybe it changed something?

it was solved in new CSF update, earlier problem was in https://forum.configserver.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11837
There is a solution which is also written in the error file:
«To disable DirectAdmin session checks, create a touch file called /var/lib/csf/csf.da.skip
Create the file as above, the problem is solved.»
But someone there said that it’s not a good solution for that.

Try logging out and in again, this may solve it.

agree, sometimes helps for me too, for example if previously I was logged in few hours ago, looks like session expired but CSF tries to use old key.

Basically I have already tried to logout/login, it didn’t help.
So I clean cookies, temp files etc in the browser and it’s ok now.
Thank you all.

But someone there said that it’s not a good solution for that.
You might want to read a bit better. He said it was a workaround not a solution. With a real solution there would be no need to create that file to skip the checks.

Collegue admin is having this issue too regularly. Logging out and in did not help, waiting for session expiration of using other browser did.
