PUBG is insanely popular and it is no surprise that it gets its fair share of cheaters. Likewise, the game developers have worked hard to block them. To do so, anti-cheat features are added to the game.

WackyJacky101, a well-known content maker in the PUBG community, announced that PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS has added another anti-cheat called ACE (Anti-Cheat Expert) and is being developed by Tencent.

Judging by the reaction of cheaters, the system blocks violators “by hardware” and does not allow creating new accounts (they are immediately blocked).
At the same time, changing the MAC address and serial number of the hard drive does not remove the ban.

Previously, PUBG Studios released a video summarizing and describing the main features of the 18.1 patch that was recently rolled out to the main PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS servers.

To the end user, it may seem like nothing has changed but when PUBG installs or is updated, additional software is installed which, when the game is running, will block cheat-ware.

AFTER LOADING TO MINE MENIU ERROR OCCURS ON ACE COMPONENTS, AND THE GAME QUIT A FEW SEC AFTER.

If you have overlay apps running, quit them. PUBG may consider them to be cheat-ware. This can include overlays from Nvidia’s ShadowPlay or any other screen recording feature e.g. if you have OBS running.

You should also try disabling the Discord overlay. Discord is generally a safe app for all games but anti-cheat solutions can be overzealous and block it as well.

PUBG is an online game so your progress is always saved. When you update the game, it’s always an in-place update and things can go wrong that Steam might not be able to fix. In this case, you can uninstall and reinstall PUBG. It’s not easy given that the game is fairly large but it will fix the problem.

This is a fix for “Error occurs on ace components” that the new anti-cheat does. Tried it like verifying integrity of PUBG and later reinstalling it.

The fix – follow the orders

1. Press Windows + R. Or type Run in Windows search bar.

2. Type in “services.msc” and press enter.

3. Find service called “AntiCheatExpert Service”

4. Double click it. For me it was disabled and that made the error occur, so put it on “Manual”.

PUBG gets a lot of cheaters and they have ruined the game for many people. The anti-cheat measures, while somewhat effective, have known to cause problems with gameplay. A fresh install can usually fix things when all else fails.

Which anti-virus do you use?

Which anti-virus do you use?

I use Avast, I disabled all its modules including the firewall to try to access the game and the problem continues, as soon as I allow SGuardUpdater64 to start, it gives this error

You need to set an exception for PUBG there but Avast is known to block anti-cheats even if we set an exception.

You have to deinstall it and try it again and I’m pretty sure now you can solve it.

If you have Avast free, I suggest to keep it deinstalled and use the solution of Windows.
It’s decent and free too.

At least you should try it and if you like to use Avast further, reinstalled it again.

Currently, MacOS has a rare but frustrating bug where the “Security & Privacy” preference pane fails to show the correct prompt to allow the installation of our Audio Capture Engine (ACE) component. When this occurs, it’s not possible to properly authorize ACE for use.

System Preferences, not showing an authorization prompt for ACE

An example of a stuck install

This issue has been reported to Apple, and we continue to hope it will be fixed in a future MacOS update. For now, however, the following instructions should help you work around this OS issue. Read on to successfully install ACE for use with our apps.

Try a fresh download

We’ve seen issues where MacOS fails to properly scan older copies of our software to enure their security. A fast troubleshooting step to work around this problem is to delete any any of the app from your Mac, and then download a new copy directly from us.

Get the latest version of your desired app using the following links:

Airfoil

Audio Hijack

Loopback

Piezo

SoundSource

The new copy will prompt you to allow it to run the first time it’s opened, and then can complete the setup process.

Manually delete the ACE component files

If you’re still unable to proceed with installing or authorizing ACE from a new copy of the app, MacOS may be finding and/or caching an old copy of the ACE component that’s not properly authorized. In thise case, manually deleting any copy of ACE from your Mac will allow MacOS to present the necessary authorization prompt again. Follow these steps:

  1. Quit System Preferences, as well as any and all apps from Rogue Amoeba that are powered by ACE. (That’s Airfoil, Audio Hijack, Loopback, Piezo, and/or SoundSource.)

  2. In the Finder, select the Go to Folder… command from the Go menu.

  3. In the folder field, enter the following location:
    /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/

  4. Click the Go button. In the window which appears, you’ll see a ACE.driver folder.

  5. Select that folder, and move it to the Trash.

  6. Confirm this action in the Finder when prompted.

  7. Restart your Mac.

  8. Run one of our ACE-powered apps again to be guided through the installation process again.

Manually remove and authorize ACE from Recovery

If MacOS still fails to show the correct authorization prompt for ACE, you’ll need to manually allow it. This is done by adding Rogue Amoeba’s developer identifier to the Mac’s allowed extension list, and is done in the Recovery system. The spctl utility can allow your Mac to specifically allow Rogue Amoeba’s software, in particular ACE.

  1. To enter the Mac’s Recovery mode, follow Apple’s instructions for Intel or for Apple Silicon.

  2. Once booted into Recovery, open the Terminal utility there and enter the following commands:

    rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/ACE.driver
    rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/Audio/Data/ACE.driver
    spctl kext-consent disable
    spctl kext-consent add 7266XEXAPM
    spctl kext-consent enable
  3. After entering those commands, restart your Mac. Launch
    one of our ACE-powered apps
again, and you’ll be able to proceed through the installation.

Installing additional updates

Once ACE is properly authorized and installed, you’ll be all set for the future. Updates to the component require only your administrator password to install.

If you need any further help, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
