There was no need to bounce Apache. After running the above query, we were able to login without issues.

How to find the error when nothing is logged in the logs in R12.2?

We were getting these error in few of the pages in AP module and none of the notification worked due to this error.

«You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System Administrator for assistance»

There is an another similar kinda issue i have blogged aboutm

Troubleshooting is very simple technique when you find out the error. All you have to know is where to find that one. Once you found the cause of the trouble, fixing is simple thing.

Main goal of this post to share my ideology to narrow the issue and how we can trace the error stack in OAF page when we have no clue.

I did the below the moment i noticed the error :

— Apache, oacore, oafm, forms logs
— Alert log in DB
— Mount point sizes in app and db server.

Everything seems to be normal and i had to clue to figure out the cause. So i had to trace one of the page as all the ways are closed. Let me summarize the events i had to figure out the error.

— Set FND: Diagnosticts profile option set to yes to user
— Reproduce the error

After i enabled debug option to my user, i could figure at least what was cause of the error. I saw the additional options in the error page. When i clicked exception detail i can see error stack.

When trying to create a T&E [Expense Report], user put in a hotel expense of cumulated amount of two nights for one night (instead of doing two nights) and received the following error

«exceeded daily allowance for hotel».

User clicked on the Back button from the webpage.

Ever since then, the same user keeps getting the following error when trying to create an Expense Report:

If the user goes to another laptop and logs in, the user still gets the same error message.

Sys Admin has cleared user Java cache, internet cache, did a CTR- R, and had user create a new Expense Report… but the same issue is there.

the following error occurs.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log in to Oracle install base agent user responsibility
2: Query on Item & Serial Number in Install Base and navigates to the summary service contract record through the IB portal
3: In order to validate the various Service Contract attributes for a converted record, they must click on the contract number hyperlink, so the remaining details may be viewed and validated
The problem is that clicking on the hyperlink to open the contract works only for the first record after logging into Oracle. All subsequent attempts at contract hyperlinks result in the Error Page

Question: Like I said existing VM is cloned VM. Then after we had changed the host name. I checked the database alert log file:

Before the reboot: name of the node was the previous still node name VM that it functioned very well. (for ex: xyz.domain)

After the reboot: name of the node is replaced by the new host name. (for ex: abc.domain)

Once the name of the node is changed he started creating problem in starting the application services.

One last thing, I want to mention here after hostname change, approval of new contextfile has 700, but it should be 755.

Solution: I followed these steps.

(1) stop all services on the LAYERS of the DB and APP

(2) change the new contextfile permission if not 755 and the .env at the level of the source DB

(3) cd $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin and run as: perl adgentns.pl appspass = apps contextfile = $CONTEXT_FILE — removeserver

(4) change the name from old host to the new host name, so find in contextfile.

(5) start listener, then the database

(6) listener status, it must must give service to the db instance

(7) perform autoconfig with new contextfile (DB Tier)

(8) perform autoconfig (pane APP)

(9) start all services

It works for me, and now the application is running. I hope that it will also work for others.

As I’m working on R12.2.5 which is the latest version of oracle, so the solution was not entirely correct, but helped me dig the real solution.

After that the implementation of Jdevloper below is the steps I followed

1. change the profile FND option: validate IP address — no

2 al ‘ Jdeveloper go to tools—> embedded OC4J preferences—> Global—> starting—> address local IP select by default.

It helped me solve my problem.

Install EZ transfer on Windows XP (32-bit) I get an error message stating:

In today post I am going to cover Oracle Ebiz applications login issue.

Problem Description:

SSO Environment: Oracle application single sign on server 10.1.4.3 (HTTP, OC4J, and OID), OAM10g, OAS 10g and OIM 9.2 services existing in two nodes and it’s clustered. DB is in RAC mode.

Oracle Ebiz Environment: It’s a multi node environment (12.1.3 unified APPL TOP) with forms, Application listener, web services and (concurrent) Report server existing in two nodes and it’s clustered. DB is in RAC mode.

Two weeks back we have fixed OSSO_OEBS integration issue. For more information click here.

We have noticed an error when continuously login into OEBS application more than 5 to 10 times in same browser without close.

The ERROR which we have seen is

You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System Administrator for assistance.

Later we find the root cause for this issue, the users does not have the proper responsibilities and self service session needs to function correctly.

When users are not created in the E-Business suite, then the users will not have any responsibilities defined. The recommended solution is currently for you to use the normal eBiz System Administration screens to update specific users with their specific responsibilities, however we have implement a custom process to achieve the same.

Following metalink helped us to assign role to user in OEBS:

11i: How To Assign A Default Responsibility To New Users Provisioned From Oid? (Doc ID 431721.1)

We have applied following workaround

1.            Log into the E-Business suite as the SYSADMIN user and choose Security: User > Define

2.            Query the respective user

3.            Add the “Preferences SSWA” responsibility

4.            Add all other responsibilities required by this user.

5.            Close all browser sessions

6.            Re-test the login

We are able to login/logout into Oracle Ebiz applications without errors and warnings with users. Applications are working fine after 5-6 login & logout attempts…

    We cloned an Oracle EBS R12.2.2 instance and it worked very well for us. To increase the RAM of the newly created virtual computer, we did the virtual machine down.     Thank you for your support. I solved the problem. Find the info below.

    Question: Like I said existing VM is cloned VM. Then after we had changed the host name. I checked the database alert log file:

    Before the reboot: name of the node was the previous still node name VM that it functioned very well. (for ex: xyz.domain)

    After the reboot: name of the node is replaced by the new host name. (for ex: abc.domain)

    Once the name of the node is changed he started creating problem in starting the application services.

    One last thing, I want to mention here after hostname change, approval of new contextfile has 700, but it should be 755.

    Solution: I followed these steps.

    (1) stop all services on the LAYERS of the DB and APP

    (2) change the new contextfile permission if not 755 and the .env at the level of the source DB

    (3) cd $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin and run as: perl adgentns.pl appspass = apps contextfile = $CONTEXT_FILE — removeserver

    (4) change the name from old host to the new host name, so find in contextfile.

    (5) start listener, then the database

    (6) listener status, it must must give service to the db instance

    (7) perform autoconfig with new contextfile (DB Tier)

    (8) perform autoconfig (pane APP)

    (9) start all services

    It works for me, and now the application is running. I hope that it will also work for others.

    We tried following the steps mentioned in other similar discussions and also a sev1 running with Oracle but looking for suggestions/help additional SR.

    Database version: version 11.2.0.2.0 and application: 11.5.1.2.0 with applied rup7.

    My business that we are upgrading to R12.2.5. I downloaded the latest patch from metalink jdeveloper and trying to configure jdeveloper. When I ran Hello World program I get an error of «you have enough privileges for the operation.» «Please contact your system administrator.«

    I have facility for all the configs needed in the project but still is the same.

    When I fell on the debug mode. I got the same error with the missing config file.

    Please check below the debug message:

    I used the position and he help me solve the problem.

    As I’m working on R12.2.5 which is the latest version of oracle, so the solution was not entirely correct, but helped me dig the real solution.

    After that the implementation of Jdevloper below is the steps I followed

    1. change the profile FND option: validate IP address — no

    2 al ‘ Jdeveloper go to tools—> embedded OC4J preferences—> Global—> starting—> address local IP select by default.

    It helped me solve my problem.
