I’m using my 3ds with Luma v9.1
I’m very new to this 3ds hacked systems, everything was working fine except that after using pokhex and updating a main file from the Checkpoint app the 3DS started to give an error message saying error type: card removed
this is happening only when I try to open FBI or checkpoint. I can continue using my games and other apps like the free shop.
I alraedy tried formatting the sd card (32GB) into FAT32 and re-pasting back all the files but the error is still there.
Any ideas how to fix this?

You should copy everything off your SD card, reformat it as FAT32 + 32 KB cluster size, and while it’s empty run a Full Write + Verify Test using H2testw.
Check that your card isn’t fake. If it passes the test, put your stuff back on and see if the problem goes away.

The card is Class 10 and the test passed without errors. However the issue is still there.
Everything in the Card/3DS seems to be working as expected except for Checkpoint and FBI —> those 2 are the only ones that are showing the black screen with the error message.

You’re using the HOME Menu *.cia versions of FBI and Checkpoint, right?
Grab the CIA for the two and place them somewhere on your SD card.
Use Homebrew Launcher to get to your *.3dsx version of FBI. If you’re not familiar with Homebrew Launcher and HBL injection with Rosalina Menu, watch this tutorial:

Thanks! that did the trick, apparently FBI and Checkpoint were corrupted at some point. Now knowing how to re-install using homebrew was a good help!

No. As long as it is a valid FAT FS it should work.
To squeeze the most space from your SD:
# mkfs.fat -a -D 0x00 -f 1 -F 32 -h 0 -I -m /dev/null -M 0xF0 -n LABEL -R 2 -s 128 /dev/mmcblk0 (whole device,no partition)

It didnt help when i import seed error pop up
000400000F700100 is the Title ID of Xenoblade Chronicles 3D (USA). This game doesn’t require a seed. Are you trying to play this on a JPN or EUR n3DS firmware?

Usa version! I really want to play it and MHS
XBC3D doesn’t run on a firmware lower than 9.5.0-22. Update to 3DS firmware 11.9.0-42U if you haven’t yet.
Monster Hunter Stories requires importing the seed.
If the above games still do not work on 11.9 firmware, check the SD card for hardware issues.
- Copy everything off your SD card onto a computer.
- Reformat in FAT32 + 32 KB cluster in Windows File Explorer. If your card is bigger than 32 GB, use guiformat.
- Full Write + Verify the empty card with H2testw.

It has error too
You need to match the 3DS firmware and games with the same region, or if they mismatch, you’ll may need to use Luma3DS Locale Emulation. If both the firmware and games are USA, go back in emptying the SD card and checking it with H2testw.

You mean MHS need an compatible firmware?
You need Monster Hunter Stories (USA version) with USA 3DS firmware -or- MHS (EUR) wit EUR firmware.
From personal experience, my n3DSXL (11.9 USA firmware) crashes trying to play MHS (EUR). There’s a way to fix this with Luma3DS Locale Emulation, which you can read the link above.
Then again, I have no problems loading MHS (USA) on my 11.9 USA n3DSXL. This issue depends on the game and firmware your 3DS is using.

Then the issue either lies in your SD card or 3DS firmware. Check the card in H2testw if you haven’t yet.
You better not have skipped checking the card in H2testw unless you want to brick for the following suggestion.
If you already tested that card,
- Backup SysNAND *.bin image: Creating a NAND Backup
- Fix the firmware by using CTRTransfer and Recovery Mode; downgrade to 11.5 and upgrade back to 11.9.
- For games missing on HOME Menu, restore their tickets with faketik.
- Reinstall Monster Hunter Stories, import its seed, and launch the game again.
