Unity game not working after build (MissingMethodException)

The game on Unity works but when I export it to Android it stops working. When I do build and run in the terminal it gives me the following error:

Its all about code stripping. If you want fast resolution, you can create link.xml file in Assets folder with next content:

Also you can do more strict code stripping rules. More information about code stripping you can find by this link.

If you are finding that the Localization package is not working in the build please try the following:

  1. Update to the latest Unity patch version
  2. Update to the latest Addressable Assets package in the package manager.
  3. Try disabling code stripping
  4. Clean and Rebuild Addressables. When Building make sure the Editor is set to the target platform in the Build Settings window.
  5. Try running the Localization Analyzers (0.11.0-preview). This can be found in the Addressables window. Link

Error unity log missingmethodexception

Hello all!
After updating all my installed mods in Valheim I can now login to my world, but when I open the console, there is an endless error message from the start. I don’t know how to fix this error. How can I show a screenshot here??

Errors Message:
[Error : Unity Log] MissingMethodException: void Character.SetLookDir(UnityEngine.Vector3)
Stack trace:
(wrapper dynamic-method)Player.DMD

This is repeating endless. Anybody an idea??

If you’re using mods, update them. If you’re not, verify your game files from Steam.

I have done both of these (for the mods that have updated at least) and I was still getting the same error. Going through my plugins folder one by one and moving the .dlls to a different folder, I found out that the Teleport Wolves mod was causing the issue for me. The original mod author hasn’t updated it yet, but someone else has at least temporarily adopted it for the current update.

@Uxybab, If you aren’t using Teleport Wolves, or if you keep getting the error after updating it, then you’re probably stuck doing the same. Go through all your mods and figure out which one is causing the error and either see if there’s a different version available elsewhere (I had to go to Thunderstore for the new version of Better Trader instead of Nexus where I usually get my mods), or temporarily remove the mod until it updates.

1. What happened
For ‘TextMesh Pro’ A$ package. Selecting Game Object with ‘TextMeshPro’ script component causes the exception to be thrown:

Happens in version 2017.1.0f3 too.
I see this error appear in the console whenever I interact with the TextMesh Pro inspector panel.
After a while, I see hundreds of these error messages.

This should not happen normally. Install HF Patch v3.3 (why are you installing only uncensor selector separately btw?)

It won’t eat you alive. It’s just a way to distribute files for free (he used Mega for this before they shut down his account).

You are getting these files from HF patch creator directly this way.

So just get Qbittorrent (which is free and open source) and get rid of all the hassle.

Error unity log missingmethodexception

Hello all!
After updating all my installed mods in Valheim I can now login to my world, but when I open the console, there is an endless error message from the start. I don’t know how to fix this error. How can I show a screenshot here??

Errors Message:
[Error : Unity Log] MissingMethodException: void Character.SetLookDir(UnityEngine.Vector3)
Stack trace:

This is repeating endless. Anybody an idea??

If you’re using mods, update them. If you’re not, verify your game files from Steam.

I have done both of these (for the mods that have updated at least) and I was still getting the same error. Going through my plugins folder one by one and moving the .dlls to a different folder, I found out that the Teleport Wolves mod was causing the issue for me. The original mod author hasn’t updated it yet, but someone else has at least temporarily adopted it for the current update.

@Uxybab, If you aren’t using Teleport Wolves, or if you keep getting the error after updating it, then you’re probably stuck doing the same. Go through all your mods and figure out which one is causing the error and either see if there’s a different version available elsewhere (I had to go to Thunderstore for the new version of Better Trader instead of Nexus where I usually get my mods), or temporarily remove the mod until it updates.

Have same issue.

So this makes V+ crash when starting the game, however the game starts properly and presents a white big box in the main screen and V+ is not present when logging into a game session.

My game starts fine, but i do have a white box on the screen and this message shows up in the BepInEx. And only parts of V+ is working.

  • Getting consistent incompatible version issue. Updated the dedicated server ( we use LOW.MS) Updated locally as well, everything set to newest update in vortex, old version removed. No other mods other than Valheim+. Has anyone been able to fix this?
    UPDATE: Fixed. Server didn’t have steam update, thats on me.

    Locally the Valheim+ Logo isn’t showing up on the main menu when u load in anymore. But the mod works fine locally, don’t know if this matters.

    OK. I Found what is causing issue for me. That WAS NOT both V+ or BetterUI, that was Cooking Skill mod! When I uninstalled it the issue is gone now!

    Suddenly started getting these error messages on device (build worked fine otherwise, but tcp socket stopped working)
    You can view device log with command line> adb logcat -s Unity ActivityManager PackageManager dalvikvm DEBUG

    Solutions:
    – Use IL2CPP build instead of Mono2x
    – Or, set Stripping Level: Disabled (any other stripping level didn’t work)

    Probably the cause was changing Api Compatibility Level from “.net 2.0 Subset” into “.net 2.0”..

    Newbie question -does V+ allow configuring creature dropped loot?

    e.g. loot multiplier from stuff you kill — like deer, boar, etc.

    Looked all over config file and everything possible appears configurable, but all I see for loot multipliers are for Gathering and Pickable. Basically, everything except items you get by killing.

    Is it possible to config dropped loot from kills or is that not possible with V+?

    Manually download and place the config file into your BepInEx/config folder as valheim_plus.cfg

    It looks to me like your firewall/anti virus prevents the auto download of the CFG file on start.

    We do not have a option to adjust monster/creature loot.

    However, i can recommend this mod for it.
