I’m having the sam issue! non of my power plugged devices are working correctly…

I’ve tried to remove devices and pair them again, all devices are pairing ok but cannot change the state.

sometimes this error occurs when I try to change the state of a device. Sometimes it happens when I send 20 lamps at the same time and some of them occur this problem there.

Sometimes it occurs only when you turn on one, and it goes out of order and then after a while it works again.

What can this be?

I changed the firmware. The mesh network looks faster now. I’ll take a few days to see if it solves the problem.

@Koenkk I’ve the same problem and before flashing the CC2531 I’ve a understanding issue:
I’ve 36 devices paired (and more to come). The Z-Stack firmware page says the home default firmware supports max 30 normal routes. So I wonder why this works «most» of the time?
I’ve found this statement in faq:

However, by having routers in your network the network size can be extended. Probably all AC powered devices e.g. bulbs serve as a router

24 of my 36 devices are light bulbs by innr, so maybe I already have multiple routers and can use more than 30 devices? If yes, is it automatically determined what device gets routed over another device? What happens if a bulb that acts as router gets physically powered off? Does it results in the reported «no network route» error or should automatically another router choosen?

If you are using Home Assistant and zigbee2mqtt you can use the Zigbee Map option to understand what devices are routers and how they are connected (i.e. https://community.home-assistant.io/t/zigbee2mqtt-show-the-networkmap-in-home-assistant/89116)
Regarding your question about one router being powered off, zigbee creates a mesh network that automatically detects offline routers and route the messages through a different router (during the re-routing process some messages can return the «no network router» error though)
Also considering the amount of devices you have I think you should consider the movement to a more powerful coordinator as the zzh (https://electrolama.com/projects/zig-a-zig-ah/) or at least install the source_routing firmware in your CC2531 coordinator (https://github.com/Koenkk/Z-Stack-firmware/blob/master/coordinator/Z-Stack_Home_1.2/bin/source_routing/CC2531_SOURCE_ROUTING_20190619.zip)

@elbueno222 thanks. I would go with the Source routing firmware. Do I understand it correctly that with this firmware, only 5 bulbs can connect directly to the coordinator and all other devices automatically selects a bulb as a router without any configuration from my side?
I use OpenHAB2, so can’t use this nice HA feature.

What happened?

I have problems with my current Z2M installation on a Raspberry Pip 3b+ with Buster.
On my current SD card I wanted to update from 1.21 to 1.28 about 2 months ago, but I only got errors after the update.
I first updated the ZZH stick firmware to zStack3x0 20220219, which worked, but when I wanted to update Z2M to 1.28 I got errors which caused Z2M not to start.

Then I found out that I first should have update the Pi to Node-js to 16.2, which I did afterwards with success
But it was too late. I only got errors after trying to re-update to version 1.28.

Then I remembered that I had a Backup of my SD-Card from Januari 2022, which has version 1.17.2 installed.
I first updated the Pi Buster and upgraded Node-js to 16.2, which went well
Then I updated also to Z2M 1.28, also without any errors.
And I copied a Z2M back-up of the other SD-Card back to /opt/zigbee2mqtt/data

And restarted Z2M.
But when I start the zigbee service, I see the devices in the Web Front End but they are not recognized because of the following message:

failed (Data request failed with error: ‘No network route’ (205))’

Is there a solution to save my Z2M network?

What happened

When I try to switch on or off entities I am getting No network route (205) message but there is no problem if I include those failing entities in a group and send actions to those groups.

What did you expect to happen

A normal operation in both cases or No network route (205) message in both cases.

How to reproduce it (minimal and precise)

Failing bulbs are random. Normally if I disconect / connect those bulbs they start working. but the problem occurs once in a while with other devices. By the way it is always the same thing: if they stop responding I can add it to a group and they start working (acting over this group not over the individual entity).

‘No network route’ (205) in some devices and without lines in network map #2923

Sometimes after make several resets to the raspberry some devices no appears drawn in the network map, the icon appear but without lines.
Now i have 2 devices without lines, in this moment are 2 smoke detectors.

this is the network map file, the devices.
devices that are drawn without lines appear only once in this file (smoke detectors):

I have tried to send a self-test to the smoke sensor but I get the message «no network route 205».
I have also tried to send the following repair configure comand but a message appears in the log: this device not require this.

sudo mosquitto_pub -h 127.0.0.1 -t zigbee2mqtt/bridge/configure -m ‘0x00158d00041xxxxx’
Is there any command or topic or some way to repair or force the routes without having to remove the devices and add them back to the network again?

some days ago there were 13 devices with this problem, i solve this erasing device by device and pairing all again but this requires a lot of work and time

Does it only happen for battery powered devices? If yes, this is can indeed happen because they are sleeping. Repairing might solve it for some time but once they sleep for too long they will disappear.

You dont have to worry about this, its just a cosmetic.

Yes, it only happens with sensors that have a battery. Today 2 more sensors have been added to the list, now there are 4 devices with no route on the zigbee map. This has worked well for months because I made a map of the network every day. and they have never disappeared, as I will not give importance if the devices cannot receive orders such as smoke sensors, I can not do a selftest. This is the error message I receive when i send a selftest:

if the devices were sleeping when I sent a selftest they should wake up, and for example the temperature sensors are not sleeping because they keep recording the temperature every 5 minutes, I think the devices lose the network route. What do you mean by repair? unlink and relink to solve the problem?

I have found another problem related to the same instability after several resets.

I have had to do many reboots to try to adjust the resolution of the raspberry to a monitor, after these reboots, apart from having many devices that do not appear the lines on the zigbee map, the problem of no lqi appears on two xiaomi smart routers plug, it can simply be corrected by resetting the smart plug, unplugging and plugging it in after a few seconds. This solves the problem of 13 devices without drawing. Now 11 devices are drawn correctly

Also, Now the zigbe2mqtt service does not start at the first, makes 3 attempts to boot and the third attempt starts, this causes several problems for example that domoticz starts before the zigbe2mqtt service and no device works anymore. i tried update again npn (same process for update the new brand ) but the service no startup at the first attempts . Needs 3 attempts

• Z2M: 1.25.2-1 (Home Assistant Add-on)
• Sonoff ZigBee 3.0 USB Dongle (CC1352P2_CC2652P_launchpad_coordinator_20220219)
• RaspberryPI 4 Model B 8GB
• Home Assitant: core-2022.6.6, supervisor-2022.05.3, OS 8.2
• 7x QS-Zigbee-CP03 — all connected directly to the coordinator (I think… When I try to load the Map, it’s stuck searching). LQI on the devices ranges from 91 to 10 (list below).

I get the ‘No network route’ (205))’ on all seven of the devices, but it happens more often on the ones with lower LQI. The only way to fix the problem is by resetting the device (manually hit the UP switch 5 times).

What’s interesting is that Z2M receives state events, even when it can’t send commands. The following is a combination of the Z2M Log and MQTT Log. You can see MQTT is aware that I manually closed and opened the cover, even though it’s not working from HA:

There have been a few issues posted with ‘No network route’ (205). There’s even a report (#12468) of the issue being fixed by switching from a Sonoff to a Slaesh stick. However, we can rule that out based on @torwanbukaj’s experience.
