• Hi Dave,

  I have went through multiple logs and experiment. Now I got the solution for Windows server 2012 R2. Below are the applied solution. I’m giving the problem definition
  as 

  Windows update, stuck in ‘Checking updates’ quite long time

  • Check the Windows update agent version, for that go to C:WindowsSystem32
  • Check the ‘wuaueng.dll’ file version. 
  • If it the version is either of the following 7.9.9600.17031, 17415, .17729, .17959, .18039, .18094, .18145, then we need to install the patch KB3138615.

  • We need to Disconnect the server from network and stop the windows update service, before installing the patch

  If the file version is 7.9.9600.18235, .18340, .18621, .18628, then need to follow the below solution.

  (We can delete the system from WSUS then can try the following option)

  1. Open the command prompt with the administrative privilege
     
  2. Run the command: net stop wuauserv. (To stop the Windows update service)
  3. Close the Windows update console
  4. Delete the following registry keys:

  Note: Export the targeted registry before deleting for safer side and as a best practice
  1. HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionWindowsUpdateSusClientId 2. HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionWindowsUpdateSusClientIdValidation

  1. Rename the file C:WindowsWindowsUpdate.log as  C:WindowsWindowsUpdate_old.log
  2. Rename the folder “C:WindowsSoftware Distribution” as “C:WindowsSoftware Distribution_old”
     
  3. net start wuauserv (To start the Windows update service)
  4. wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow
     (Windows update agent will initiate the connection (termed as contact) with WSUS, after a while it will report with the WSUS )
     Note: WSUS reporting and updating is a time consuming process.
  5. Confirm the new two key values are appeared on the path :
     «HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionWindowsUpdate»

  10. 
  Check for the updates, once you got the confirmation the AD support team.

  11. 
  Delete the folder “C:WindowsSoftware Distribution_old” and C:WindowsWindowsUpdate_old.log without fail.

  Sorry for the delay reply. I have a few things to ask.
  First my problem is not solved, still iam getting the error.
  Secondly, i have done the configuration for Mobile Administrator, but during the configuration When deploying the JRA File (Standard Installation and Installation of Cluster both needs to be done or Standard Installation is sufficient).
  Not only that after configuring the Mobile Administrator do i need configure the CCMS also, if so if i configure the CCMS would my error be resolved.
  My User has all the required Authorizations but why am i getting the error i could not able to trace out
  Lastly do i need to configure the Mobile Applications part also.
  I need to have a quick reply on this. Can anyone help me in this issue.

  When implementing a VDI solution, I’m getting an error on our virtualization host server.  The error is:
  Remote Desktop Virtualization Host failed to get redirection authentication information from the virtual machine [VDI-PC].
  Hresult 0x8000FFFF
  Event ID 8467, Severity: Warning, Source: Microsoft-Windows-TerminalServicesTSVVmHostAgent
  This error happens every time a user or admin connects to a VDI desktop.  This is a fresh install of Remote Desktop Services on completely fresh servers.  This is in testing and we have not ever had it working before without the error.
  Topolgy: Server2012 R2, Windows 7
  Srv-RDCB1: Is the connection broker and Web Access server.  It is Virtualized thru Hyper=V.
  Srv-RDVH1: Is the virtualization host.  It is a physical server. It also has a separated hyper-v role (for RDS VDI deployment).
  Everything seems to be functional other than this error in the log, and I haven’t found any information on what this could mean.

  the appletv will not display your movies in folders.
  you could change the tags in itunes to include the genre in the «show» field in the «video» tab. this would replicate the view you want, but you will need to tag all your movies to do this.

  Once again, KP is correct, but I just want to add that if you don’t see the backup in the drop down menu on the summary page of iTunes when you choose the restore from backup option, then the backup is unfortunately gone. If you backup your computer, the iPad backup should probably be in that computer backup. I use Time Machine with my MacBook Pro and can access backups from months ago.
  On a side note, I also archive backups from time to time. If you right click on a backup name in iTunes>Edit>Preferences>Devices (Windows) or iTunes>Preferences>Devices (Mac) you can save that backup or archive it. It will be date and time stamped. I have no idea why I do this to the degree that I do it, but I probably have 12-14 iPad backups archived in iTunes.

  Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve been playing around with some of the classes of the java.net package and java.io
  Using the URL class i can get the content of the data from a STATIC page and output that response to file so that is does not display to the client broswer.
  But this only works if the URL i give points to a static html page.
  So the problem i’m getting is if i’m righting in arguments in the URL, this means that server needs to process the arguments i give and its sends back a dynamic result. Because its dynamic the URL class can not handle this and throws me an exception everytime
  Have u ever tried to do some things like this?

  would love to…way over my head so far…upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.2 — I have another MAC (motorola chipset…maybe 10.6?) and 3 PCs on the network…the older MAC linked up through the network just fine…
  I can see the Yosemite MAC on the PCs…I can open customer file folders (I am a printer) from the shared drive…I can drag files (let’s just call them PDFs, they mostly are) to the MAC customer file…but if I try to open them from the PC I get an error message that says permission denied — or may be in use by another user. There are no other users. After I uploaded to Yosemite, I noticed most if not all drives and or folders had permissions changed to either no access or to read only…I’ve changed as many as I could find…drives, and folders…I can open those same files if I’m on the yosemite mac…Here’s the catch, though…I was on a different floor and that PC can open a PDF on the Yosemite…but the RIP that prints our large format prints now won’t print those files (whole RIP locks up) unless they are first dragged to the PC desktop…then all is fine. I thought it was MAC upgrade oriented, but I do have a PC that halfway works…I’m really stymied…

  The iPhone is not a backup device. Your computer backs up the iPhone, not the other way around. What you use to back up your computer is up to you — Macs use Time Machine. I assume PCs use something similar.
  If her PC backup is dead you will have difficulty extracting content from the iPhone since it is not designed to work that way.
  All her Apple purchases can easily be transferred to another iPhone. However, her contacts will be gone, as will any music or other contact obtained from sources other than Apple.

  The iPhone is compatible with many PNDs that support Bluetooth, but only for hands free operation (speaker phone so you don’t have to hold the iPhone to drive). That is the only connectivity allowed by bluetooth, and that works with the Tom Tom.
