Что нам понадобится:

Инструкция по установке .pac прошивки целиком:

1. Скачайте из вложений архив RESEARCHDOWNLOAD_2.9.7003.zip и распакуйте его. Из распакованного архива, на правах администратора (правый клик по файлу -> запуск от имени администратора), запустите файл ResearchDownload.exe

2. Появится окно программы, нажмите на значёк одной шестерёнки расположенный в левом верхнем углу программы. Появится окно обзора, выберите вашу прошивку в формате .pac

3. После выбора прошивки, программа «подвиснет» на некоторое время и после этого имя загруженной прошивки отобразится в верхней части программы

4. Далее, убедитесь что ваше устройство отключено от ПК и нажмите значёк Play (стрелка вроде «>») в окне ResearchDownload, чтобы перевести программу в режим ожидания подключения смартфона

5. Далее берём наш смартфон в руки, выключаем его полностью. Если у вас съёмная батарея, то вытащите её и вставьте обратно, но не включайте смартфон, если батарея несъёмная, то можно пропустить данный пункт. Итак, после того как «передёрнули» батарею, подключаем смартфон к компьютеру и при этом держим кнопку уменьшения звука.

6. После подключения смартфона, как описано ниже, в окне программы ResearchDownload, должна будет начаться прошивка, как только она стартует, можно будет отпустить кнопку уменьшения звука и просто дождаться завершения прошивки. Если прошивка не стартует, то, скорее всего не установлены драйвера. После завершения прошивки вы увидите надпись «Passed», после этого можно отключить смартфон (рекомендую еще раз «передёрнуть» батарею») и запустить его. Имейте в виду что после перепрошивки, первый старт смартфона, может длиться долльше обычного (не паникуйте сразу).

5008 wrong file handle (handle index is out of handle table)

The code appears to executes OK ( i.e. reads details from file and My_Handle_line seems OK — 2) -but still generates the ERROR code 5008

The following is from my own log file

I don’t get an error resulting from code below and str1 is read correctly

Yes I close files etc . found the problem . I used FILEFLUSH 0n the read file.

I would like to ask about that line, if you do not mind. I can see that you are testing for the File Handle to be 0 or more; and here is my question: a file handle in MQL is a integer, as we all know. That integer presummably stores the address of the location of the file buffer (a pointer in C) — it may not be a label or something. So two things

a) Let us assume that this number is the address in the hdd/ssd. Then i doubt it can be 0, as there is the OS anyway

b) If it is a «pointer» in a memory place, that serves as the start of the file buffer, then this place can not be 0: Windows will not let you write in the physical address 0 (NULL pointer is not accessible in Windows — see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero_page )

To conclude, i believe you can write if ( My_Handle_Line > 0 )

ok, after looking at the manual i realised that MQL likely indexes the handles that obtains (from Windows) as file handles and offers those indices as handles; or something in that line hehe — ihave to have a look at Win32 API

A final remark, if numbering starts from 1 and not 0 then it should be My_Handle_Line > 0 and not -1 right ?

Ok so I have the game, sort of. I have to find it in the files

but when i try it on steam, just to click play there is a disk write error
but when i locate it in the files and play there is a 5008 error I did see in the discussions that someone made a 5008 error post on Oct,15. I waited the rest of the day and tried to play it from the files again it did not work.

My friends on the other hand did. Huh. so now im here asking you

I don’t have it enabled on my machine, so I’m not 100% on how you turn it off, but you find it by going to Settings -> Family (settings is under «Steam» on the top drop-downs when you’re in Steam, very top-left of the screen)

I had this issue with one of the latest patches myself. Tried everything I could find on google and the only thing that worked was to uninstall the game and redownload it. So if all else fails, give that a go.

Did the validation work ok?

I’m sure there are other things than failing harddrives that can cause a disk write error. However potential impending harddrive failure is a definite concern if you are getting disk write errors.

If you know the brand of your harddrive the manufacturer should have diagnostic software that will help you to determing if that is something in your near future or not.

Even if the re-install and or validation work for you I would still look into that just to exclude a failing harddrive as the source of this and or any other computer strangeness and or potential data loss.

I’m sure there are other things than failing harddrives that can cause a disk write error. However potential impending harddrive failure is a definite concern if you are getting disk write errors.

If you know the brand of your harddrive the manufacturer should have diagnostic software that will help you to determing if that is something in your near future or not.

First time ROM Flasher here. Please forgive the length I am just trying to be thorough here.

I have a Chuwi VX3 that seemed to have bricked and when I opened it up I could not find anything wrong (I was trained as a computer tech, help desk, network management IT person but health has kept me out of the workplace). I had ordered it on AliExpress and got my money out of it as a tablet phone so I was unhappy but not too put out.

I ordered another and this one has been a pain… literally. It fried an SD Card… literally… and me too when I took it out. It was acting a little flaky but in those frustrating unreplicatable ways that aren’t consistent. Otherwise it worked fine and had the new ROM.

Before the seller would take it back they wanted me to get it fixed, which they don’t do around here, and then when they found out I was a tech they wanted me to try flashing it and putting another SD Card in.

Thats what brings me here.

On NeedROM they had both the original and the updated ROMs.

I got the latest (TMK) SP Flash from there and both ROM packages. Following a tutorial (well actually 3) I set up to flash my New Chuwi VX3 and when I was getting ready I accidentally plugged my original VX3 in. It booted but the screen was dead, but the encryption password screen and the touch on the screen was working. I decided to try and flash it too to see if it was a software display issue.

Went to flash the New VX3, got error, looked it up, Format and download instead of download because the partition tables don’t match the ROM’s.

I do it and it formats no problem, starts downloading no problem… until about 33% in. SP Flash Tool then stops, kicks up a BROM Error: S_FTHND_File_Load_Fail (5008). After that every time I plug in the new VX3 I get this error: «The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.»

I then try my old VX3 and it had to be formatted and downloaded too and it flashed like a dream. Unfortunately the screen is still dark.

I have tried reinstalling the drivers, a slightly older version of SP Flash, manually reinstalling the USB sub drivers in the device manager, booting the computer with my new VX3 connected to the USB Port.

I am using Windows 8.1 Pro on a 64bit AMD system.

Both phones were mostly charged.
I also just realized I left the NFC SIM Card in and I pulled it out and stuck it in one of those indestructible Nokia candy bar phones from over a decade back and both the SIM and the Nokia still work.

Can any of you please help me with the USB/recognition problem so I can flash this phone and fix it or show that yes it is bad so I can return it and get another or my money back.

Hey bro.. Have u tried, changing d usb cable that u used in connecting d phone to your PC? Only one problem can cause d usb not recognize problem. Its either your phone usb port is not fully ok or be it that d cable u used in connecting d phone to d pc did work well with d phone usb port, so try changing ur cable… Dis usb not recognize problem have nothing to do with your computer drivers..

If I connect other things to that USB port they work fine, and if I connect the old phone with the broken screen that did flash I don’t get the error, but when I start using the new one that stopped mid flash I got that error.

I will try changing the cable, but I am pretty sure that is not the issue.

Also I left the new phone charging overnight. Even though when I charged it before flashing it and left it charging overnight It was showing the battery screen for when you are charging it when it is off and it was showing no charge, or more accuratly it was stuck between the displaying the battery and the point when it displays the charge on the battery.

I tried to get into the recovery mode which I couldn’t do before and this time it worked. I tried to do a factory reset and it did it. I then rebooted, got the manufacturer’s screen and thats it.

I will try dowloading the ROM again and let you guys know what happens

Ok bro.. Sorry about this… I think the cause of this is from your scatter file. It will be safe to assume that your scatter file is not that compatible with d sp tool.. Try getting another file, or just prepare new file with Mtk tool with d same model of phone. D problem of ur phone can’t continue dis way because d phone was not made d way it is now, so therefore, your mobile must surely work, d problem that u are experiencing on d issue of d phone now will never last… D problem of d phone is just a stranger that as came to live in d phone 4 a little while….

Strange… one of my 2 posts is missing… well here it goes again:

I keep having the same thing happen and it goes like this.

1) I use USBDeview from NirSoft to flush all of the USB Settings for my phone.

2) I launch SPFT and then the correct Download Agent and Scatter file loads.

3) I plug in my phone and let it set up so SPFT will detect it later, then I unplug it.

4) I then set SPFT to Format and Download and start the download.

5) I connect my phone and and it formats properly but only downloads to 12%, then sits there until it times out and gives a 4008 error.

6) If I disconect my phone and try to try again I always get the «The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.» Error from Windows 8.1 and SPFT can’t detect it.

7) I then go into recovery mode, do a hard factory reset, and then reboot the phone. If I don’t do this step and clear the USB Settings for the phone, the phone keeps getting the «The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.» Error.

The phone then boots to an endless Boot Screen Logo for the phone and if I try to turn it off it just reboots.

9) I trick the phone into shutting down by rebooting it with the power button and when the screen goes black I plug in the charger and it goes to the charging screen (the one I earlier mentioned never gets to the point of showing what the charge is) and then unplug it and the phone turns off.

10) I go back to 1 and start all over again.

The thing is I actually flashed the old VX3 with that same scatter file no problem, however the update wouldn’t accept the scatter file for it and I guess there could have been a hardware tweek on the newer VX3 so I guess it could be that. I will give generating a new file With MTK Tools… any suggested tutorials on MTK that you know of?

Unless I missed it right in front of my face I didn’t see one on this site.

Method 1 — Close Conflicting Programs

When you get a runtime error, keep in mind that it is happening due to programs that are conflicting with each other. The first thing you can do to resolve the problem is to stop these conflicting programs.

Open Task Manager by clicking Ctrl-Alt-Del at the same time. This will let you see the list of programs currently running.
Go to the Processes tab and stop the programs one by one by highlighting each program and clicking the End Process buttom.
You will need to observe if the error message will reoccur each time you stop a process.
Once you get to identify which program is causing the error, you may go ahead with the next troubleshooting step, reinstalling the application.

Method 2 — Update / Reinstall Conflicting Programs

Using Control Panel

For Windows 7, click the Start Button, then click Control panel, then Uninstall a program
For Windows 8, click the Start Button, then scroll down and click More Settings, then click Control panel > Uninstall a program.
For Windows 10, just type Control Panel on the search box and click the result, then click Uninstall a program
Once inside Programs and Features, click the problem program and click Update or Uninstall.
If you chose to update, then you will just need to follow the prompt to complete the process, however if you chose to Uninstall, you will follow the prompt to uninstall and then re-download or use the application’s installation disk to reinstall the program.

Using Other Methods

For Windows 7, you may find the list of all installed programs when you click Start and scroll your mouse over the list that appear on the tab. You may see on that list utility for uninstalling the program. You may go ahead and uninstall using utilities available in this tab.
For Windows 10, you may click Start, then Settings, then choose Apps.
Scroll down to see the list of Apps and features installed in your computer.
Click the Program which is causing the runtime error, then you may choose to uninstall or click Advanced options to reset the application.

Method 3 — Update your Virus protection program or download and install the latest Windows Update

Virus infection causing runtime error on your computer must immediately be prevented, quarantined or deleted. Make sure you update your virus program and run a thorough scan of the computer or, run Windows update so you can get the latest virus definition and fix.

Method 4 — Re-install Runtime Libraries

You might be getting the error because of an update, like the MS Visual C++ package which might not be installed properly or completely. What you can do then is to uninstall the current package and install a fresh copy.

Uninstall the package by going to Programs and Features, find and highlight the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package.
Click Uninstall on top of the list, and when it is done, reboot your computer.
Download the latest redistributable package from Microsoft then install it.

Method 5 — Run Disk Cleanup

You might also be experiencing runtime error because of a very low free space on your computer.

You should consider backing up your files and freeing up space on your hard drive
You can also clear your cache and reboot your computer
You can also run Disk Cleanup, open your explorer window and right click your main directory (this is usually C: )
Click Properties and then click Disk Cleanup

Method 6 — Reinstall Your Graphics Driver

If the error is related to a bad graphics driver, then you may do the following:

Open your Device Manager, locate the graphics driver
Right click the video card driver then click uninstall, then restart your computer

Method 7 — IE related Runtime Error

If the error you are getting is related to the Internet Explorer, you may do the following:

The code appears to executes OK ( i.e. reads details from file and My_Handle_line seems OK — 2) -but still generates the ERROR code 5008

Yes I close files etc …… found the problem ….. I used FILEFLUSH 0n the read file.

Didn’t find the actual error message very helpful — perhaps just a pointer in the right direction

The MQL file handle is valid only for the current script and handles are numbered 1, 2, 3 etc., not related to anything you assume.

it says a thing or two about why CreateFile returns -1 in Windows API and not 0. Back OT, i printed the handle of the first file opened in a EA and guess what, it was number 1 So maybe fail code can be -1 or 0, depending on the function but handles likely start at 1 in MQL

Ну теперь он вообще не видит дров а лишь тупо неизвестное устройство и при попытке в ручную поставить дрова говорит что все окей

удали драйвер и попробуй установить вручную выбрав inf-файл из папки driver для своей разрядности ОС

на скриншоте драйвера только для отладки, для прошивки они не подходят

Всем добра! Пытаюсь прошить планшет Irbis TZ81L на проце spreadtrum 9830a, прошивка и researchdownload R3.15.4901 с оф. сайта, выдаёт ошибку failed uart send error. Пробовал разные пк, шнуры, скорости, проги, убирал в вкладке Backup галки, переустанавливал дрова, перезагружал компы — не помогает. Подскажите что можно сделать

попробуй использовать UPGRADEDOWNLOAD_R21.0.0001, в момент подключения удерживай клавишу увеличения (также можешь попробовать и уменьшения, зависит от модели) громкости, кнопку держи пока не начнётся процесс прошивки

upd: данная ошибка может быть легко из-за севшей батареи

С офф сайта(ginzzu.ru) скачал прошивку, поставил дрова, перепробовал 3 версии RD(23.0.0001, 2.9.7003, 4.0.0001), зажимал разные клавиши(+,-). К сожалению ничего не происходит. В диспе не обнаруживается.
Планшет не включается, в рекавери не попасть(скорее всего разряжен), не заряжается. В общем кирпич имеется, есть шанс своими силами оживить?

reset есть, никак не реагирует на нее. Долгое нажатие, единичное — ноль.
А вот с разборкой и прочим вариант не очень. Наверное лучше в сц отдать.

Он один раз завелся при подключении к ПК, драйвера пытался поставить и все.

Но в RD так и не стартует процесс. Висит на этапе Ready после нажатия Play/

Upd2: Ну и все. Больше в диспетчере не видно. В РД ничего не не изменилось и не происходит.

RD r3.0.0001 — NV_WLITE, Ошибка записи flash (write flash failed). Дальнейшие попытки приводят к Incompatible partition. Что можно сделать?
r4.0.0001 — NV_WLITE, write flash failed.
r6.0.0001 — Не стартует прошивка, при разных комбинациях клавиш.
r7.0.0001 — Incompatible partition. Хотя там проскочила какая то надпись красная(не успел увидеть), а потом партиция.
r8.0.0001 — NV_WLITE, write flash failed.
r17.0.0001 — NV_WLITE, write flash failed.
r19.0.0001 — Не стартует прошивка, при разных комбинациях клавиш.
r21.0.0001 — Не стартует, ругается на драйвера, хотя они поставлены. (https://yadi.sk/d/BX3F4gTqHNN-aQ)
r22.19.1301 — Аналогично с предыдущей.
r23.0.0001 — NV_WLITE, write flash failed.

Остальные версии вылетают на этапе выбора прошивки — маленький размер или файл поврежден.
