# What are some common issues?

Java.lang.Exception: Failed to bypass Cloudflare means that the source you selected has Cloudflare protection on, refer to the Cloudflare guide to fix it. If the solutions provided do not fix the issue, the source has likely raised the Cloudflare protection level high enough that Tachiyomi is not able to access the site.

Possible reasons for HTTP error 403:

• The source you selected has Cloudflare protection on, refer to the Cloudflare guide to fix it.
• The source is down, removed the manga, or banned your IP. Open

HTTP error 404 probably means that the source is down or removed the manga. Open

HTTP error 429 or Too Many Requests means that the source banned your IP address (in most cases, it’s temporary) because you could be downloading or reading too fast. We suggest reporting

(opens new window) the issue so that a rate limit can be added to prevent IP bans in the future.

HTTP error 5xx like 500, 502 and others are server-side errors, and the source you are trying to access has problems on their side. Open the source in

HTTP error 1006 means that the source has banned your IP address (in most cases, it’s temporary).

HTTP error 1020 means that you have violated a firewall rule the site owner has put up. This usually means that the site owner has raised the Cloudflare protection level or that the site owner is blocking IPs outside their country.

Errors like Unable to resolve host, Connection failed, Failed to connect to, timeout, connection reset mean that something is preventing you from connecting to the source.

Possible reasons include:

• Your internet connection is not good enough to connect.
• The app does not have access to the internet.
• Your ISP has blocked the site.
• The site is down.

Try the following solutions to fix this issue:

java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException or Chain validation failed means there is a problem with validating source’s sertificate.

• Check if the site’s certificate has expired. Use an online service for checking SSL certificates. If the certificate has expired, wait while the site owner to renew it.
• Ensure that you have the right date and time set on your phone.

The Attempt to invoke virtual method’ com.hippo.unifile. error can be caused by various reasons, but they all have to do with storage.

• Most commonly, it is caused by full storage. Check to see if your device or SD Card is full.
• Check if Tachiyomi has access to the SD card. You can enable it in Android settings for app permissions.
• If you’re downloading and this error pops up, that means the app might not be able to access the folder you’re trying to download to. This may be because the folder is corrupted or does not exist. Use a file manager to check that the folder(s) exist and every folder in the sequence is available and accessible.
• The drive you’re writing to is corrupted. Check using a file manager to see if it is accessible.

The Cannot Access SD Card error can sometimes be fixed by changing the location of your downloads to somewhere else and back to the SD card, then restarting the app.

Having a file or folder name that is too long can also cause this issue. Android’s file manager does not support filenames longer than 255 characters. If you know the file or folder name that is the culprit, you can connect your SD card to your computer and shorten it. Otherwise, delete the Tachiyomi downloads folder off of the SD Card.

If any sources are slow, it is likely due to the site being slow, your internet being slow, or a ratelimit applied to the source to reduce load or IP bans.

# Solving Cloudflare issues

Cloudflare is an anti-bot mechanism. Some sources intentionally have a higher Cloudflare protection level to block apps like Tachiyomi. You can try the following suggestions to help resolve Cloudflare challenges. If they don’t work, migrate to other sources or wait until they lower their protection.

If Split APK Installer outputs the above error when attempting to install the APK, you are likely installing a official build over an existing F-Droid build. The F-Droid build has a different signature than the official build, so you must backup your data, uninstall the app, then restore the data in a fresh install.

If Split APK Installer outputs «DISPLAY_NAME column is null», the APK you have downloaded is corrupted. Some users experience this error multiple times after redownloading the APK, so keep redownloading the APK until it installs correctly.

If Split APK Installer outputs «INSTALL_FAILED_NO_MATCHING_ABIS», the APK you have downloaded is the wrong one for your CPU architecture. Download the correct one or download the universal APK if you are not aware which CPU architecture your device uses.

Спасибо за приложение. Синхронизация с MAL’ом — то, что долго искал. С удовольствием перекатился к вам.
Из каталогов — senmanga бы не помешала (мобильная версия сайта менее грузная, рекламы и капчи в ней не замечал).

Нашёл баг. В меню «Отслеживание» переключатель подтверждения не фиксируется во включенном положении. Видео прикрепил. Версия 0.5.1

Да, в папке Tachiyomi рядом с папкой downloads создавай папку local, и добавляй туда мангу в формате «Название манги/Главы»
В данный момент поддерживается cbz/zip, cbr/rar, epub. Но автор рекомендует использовать zip формат.

Для того чтобы читать необходимо в каталоге отркыть источник Local manga, и выбрать необходимую.
Есть неприятный баг, когда локальный источник не отображается, тогда необходимо в настройках включить категорию с английскими источниками(Чтобы они не мешали сами источники можно выключить).

tvoe_razocharovanie, для внешней карты путь должен быть примерно такой:
«/sdcard/Tachiyomi/local»
Причём оба эти пути будут объединяться

Хорошая читалка, нравится, что умеет кропать белые поля, проверять апдейты (с автоскачкой) только для указанной группы.
Гибкие фильтры во всех списках и автоматическое удаление прочитанных глав (с настройкой, сколько прочитанных оставлять).

Из минусов — мало источников и как-то криво работает с ридмангой: при работе с каталогом 417 ошибка очень часто. Нет внешней синхронизации.

В смысле синхронизация между устройствами. Как в openmanga или хотя бы как в mangarock.

Скачал потыкал, вроде неплохая читалка, будем следить за развитием. До этого использовал mangawatcher, пока тот не загнулся и не получил убогий форк, где кроме рекламы ничего и не было. После того пересел на Manga Reader, но тот уже пару дней не хочет грузить страницы по WiFi. Надеюсь эта читалка будет жить и развиваться.

И тоже столкнулся с ошибкой 417, неприятная штука, надеюсь зафиксят.

Да 417 возникает в момент поиска, но если удалось ее поймать, то и мангу с каталога она уже не грузит с той же ошибкой. При этом допустим при смене интернета она исчезает, к примеру был подцеплен по вафле, поймал 417, ушен на 3g ошибки нет, пока не словишь на 3g.
С режимами пролистывания разобрался, webtoon прям то что надо и подхватывает переход страниц лучше чем во многих других читалках.
И еще вопрос с каталогом mangachan возник, он только у меня страницы манги прогружает либо неприлично долго, либо и вовсе выдает ошибку загрузки и предлагает повтор или открыть в браущере?
Просто сам каталог прогружается нормально, а если пыташься почитать саму мангу, то между прогрузкой страниц я выспаться успел.

Из хотелок, раз уж здесь подобное реализовано, то было бы круто видеть синхронизацию с shikimori.org Ну и наверно, можно еще каталогов манги накидать, ато и каталогов с просто комиксами.

How to resolve Tachiyomi http error 403 issue?

http error 403 occurs because of the http Forbidden code normally. It may be comming from the site which relates to the specific extension and site. it occurs because of the manga source (extension)that you have selected may have enabled Cloudflare protection and due to that it is enforcing CAPTCHAs. Previously the app already handled CloudFlare to some extent, But now, newer Tachiyomi versions can handle it a bit better. So you won’t be facing any issue with newer versions. Anyhow you can try following troubleshooting steps.

1. Find the mangas in your library which is from the source you’re trying to access
2. Next touch on the three dots icon at Info tab (overflow menu)
3. Select Open in Webview option as displayed in below screenshot.

1. You will receive a Captcha to complete. (see below screenshot). If it doesn’t prompt you a CAPTCHA there, you can initiate one by tapping on manga title,
2. Complete that CAPTCHA and wait few seconds to finish the page loading.
3. Finally Tap back without exiting the app. If that does not work, then only use back arrow to go back.
4. You will notice that http error 403 issue is fixed.

WebView doesn’t work for me, What now ?

If WebView doesn’t working for your issue as expected, please try updating your Android System WebView app installedin yourdevice through Play Store, and after that go to Developer Options in your device’s settings and set WebView Implementation option to Android System WebView.

For security and performance purposes some manga sources use Content Delivery Networks (CDN) to ensure that they are protected against web attacks. These CDN try to verify the user when it suspects the requester (You) sometimes when there are a lot of requests to their servers and some other occasions. CAPTCHAs are using for this verification. If you use a web browser, you can see it, but since you are using Tachitomi app you cannot see that because Tachiyomi app uses its backend services to connect with manga sources.
Sometimes you may have been IP-banned, If that is the case, there is probably nothing that can be done about that. but a verification like CAPTCHA can be manually solved, some are temporary (IP bans).

Workarounds that can lower chance of it happening again:

• Don’t use downloads with the source.
• Have less manga in library from the source.

What are the other diagnostic steps I can follow?

• Try the CAPTCHA fix by opening the manga in WebView. (Instructions above) If there is CAPTCHA, solve it and see if it helps.
• Adapt your internet connection (switch to WiFi, mobile data or a VPN)
• Note your public IP address and confirm your IP has changed), You can get your public IP address by searching “What’s my IP” on Google. then try again.
• Try using the latest Dev version if you use the Stable version.
• If you use Virus Guards, Firewalls, Data Saving options or apps in your device disable them for a while and try again.
• Tried clearing the cache, checking for updates in the app and extensions.
• If updates are available, update your app/extensions.
