Backstory [ ]

Ink started out as the only character in an unfinished AU with feelings. To escape the abandoned AU, he ripped apart and destroyed his own soul. This pulled him out of his world, and he was left in the anti-void, without a soul and without memories for a long time.

Eventually, the paint of an unknown artist fell into the anti-void, each color giving him feelings. After some time without color, though, he would revert to his emotionless and monochrome self. Ink fixed this problem by filling vials with the colors that were splashed on him. He called these vials «emotion vials». It allowed him to pretend to have a soul, so that he could feel.

Gradually, Ink used the ink from creators to create the doodle-sphere, and to create his powers.

Personality [ ]

He likes making art on canvases. When he gets too excited he will often throw up black ink. He is always happy to visit other AUs. Ink has the strange habit of checking every AU version of Sans’ height because he is slightly smaller than the Undertale Sans. But in some fan-comics, Ink is shorter than all of the Sanses but Blueberry. He is often pretty childish though.

Ink is very forgetful and often stops mid-sentence, or writes things down on his scarf to try to remember them. He likes to motivate people and make them laugh, which he does so usually by «being a jerk». Ink is desperate on wanting a soul and is shown being embarrassed or sad when the topic of his emotion vials comes up during conversations with others.

It has been confirmed by Comyet that, despite popular Fan-made theories, Ink is actually not Lawful Good. It was stated in a picture that Ink is «Chaotic Neutral, at best.»

He also literally cannot care for others without his emotion vials, due to lack of having a soul. In the Star Sanses comic, Ink and Dream fight because Ink does not care for the emotions of the people inside the AUs, but the AU’s themselves. This argument was ultimately a flop because of Ink’s short-term memory, and Dream’s inability to feel negative emotions over periods of time (longer than a few seconds).

Ink is often associated with Error Sans and in different AUs. They are either companions, frenemies or enemies. Some people also ship them, mostly because of that old saying, «opposites attract.»

Old Appearance [ ]

Ink has ink blot or paint on his right cheek. His eyes can change depending on it’s emotions, also usually having a blue circle in the right eye socket and a star in the left. He wears UT Sans’ jacket hung around his hips, brown, long sleeves with blue lines and a light shirt; a protector is on his shirt, attached to his chest. Ink wears a giant brown scarf which is almost as big as himself. He has a work belt crossing his chest, with rainbow emotion vials (which have heart-shaped tops) on it. When Ink drinks what is in the vials, he gets artificial emotions. Ink has pants that have the same color scheme as his sleeves. over the pants, He wears light brown shorts. Instead of slippers, Ink wears sport shoes with tiger prints on the sides. He also has fingerless gloves.

On his back, Ink holds his signature weapon; His paintbrush (which he names it Broomie). Underneath his clothes are swirling tattoos that fall from the top of his neck, down his spine and rib cages until finishing up at the very start of his legs. The tattoos run 1/4 down his arms and are covered by his undershirt.

New Appearance [ ]

Ink retains many characteristics from his old appearance, including his eyes, his paint vials, the ink blot on his cheek, his scarf (although it has become slightly larger). He still has Broomie, his paintbrush.

He now has a white long-sleeved undershirt with a small brown jacket over it. His brown pants are actually overalls with the tops tucked into his waist. The legs are very wide at the bottoms, with creases around the legs. He also has no shoes. Instead, he goes barefoot with a pair of leggings.

Abilities [ ]

High Tier Regeneration: Came back even after tearing apart his soul, which erased him from existence.

Bone Manipulation: Should be similar to but likely stronger than Classic Sans.

Teleportation: Capable of teleporting to any timeline or AU through any liquid source mixed with paint.

Object Creations: He can make objects by using his brush, and use them to damage others.

Timeline Creation: Self-explanatory.

Telekinesis: Same as other Sanses, he can move objects without touching it directly.

Immunity to Soul Manipulation: Due to lacking a soul, he can’t by controlled

Immunity to Empathetic Manipulation: He doesn’t naturally feel emotions.

Ink Manipulation: Self-explanatory.

Broomie: Using his paint-brush, Ink was capable of creating the Doodle Sphere, a structure with 350+ alternate universes that each have a theoretically infinite number of timelines. Its main source is magic paint.

The ability to float/hover: Self-explanatory.

Tier X Gaster!Blasters: like normal gaster blasters, but much more powerful.

Relationships [ ]

Error!Sans (Frenemies/Rivals) [ ]

Ink and Error clash in views and jobs. Error! Sans is made to destroy and Ink! Sans is made to create and protect. The level of their relationship varies from person to person; some think they’re enemies, some think of them as brothers, some think they’re friends, some think they’re frenemies, and even some think that they’re in a relationship. However, they don’t have any official relationship.

Underswap Sans (Friend[?]) [ ]

Ink in Underswap version: When Underswap Sans tripped and accidentally splatted the ink all over the place, this caused Ink! Sans to appear. This would be his first time meeting US Sans.

Dream!Sans (Former friend) [ ]

Ink and Dream are the only Sanses who can live in the creative realm (creativity of artists). Dream is the creator of good emotions, while Ink protects the AUs, which are filled with them. Dream works together with Ink and helps him to fight against Error and Nightmare. Dream and Ink have an undying connection that can’t be broken.

Jokublog (Dream’s creator) has posted a collection of facts relating to the relationship between these two, and has confirmed that they had a fight when Dream realized that Ink didn’t really care much about the people in the AUs.

Alternate! Sans (Friend) [ ]

Ink serves as a guide to help Alternate control his power. Nothing is really known about their connection (since Alternate is stuck in a staged scratch game that is controlled by a player). Ink can travel to any place he wants. They only meet when nobody is playing the game.

PaperJam (Accidental child) [ ]

PaperJam, or PJ, is supposedly Ink! Sans and Error!Sans’ «accidental» child. They were created by the leftovers of Error and Ink’s battles across the multiverse; blobs of ink and error strings combined together to make PaperJam. Even though a lot of people make Ink alive with Paper Jam. PJ was created by 7GoodAngel.

Broomie (his paintbrush) [ ]

Ink’s Paintbrush is named Broomie. It serves as a conduit for Ink’s powers. It is extremely light and mobile to Ink, but to anyone else it would seem unbearably heavy. He can create anything with his paintbrush as long as he still has paint in his vials.

Alpha!Sans (Mentor) [ ]

Alpha!Sans is somewhat of a mentor figure that stirs Ink in the correct path when needed. Ink and His relationship doesn’t go any further than this.

    This is my story that I thought would be why ink and error fight all the time. I thought it would be ok to try out my writing skill on my (cracked) phone.

    Anyway, without further ado, feast your eyes on the words (XD IDK)

    I stepped outside the silence of the infinite void. I looked around.

    I pulled out my paint brush and started drawing something.

    I moved my brush in a circle making a sphere shape, then I started drawing a neck. I made slow curves as I slowly drew the armor and into the legs, then the boots.

    I had finished the sketch of my drawing of Undyne.

      I heard something, a blast, I looked around and saw another Sans from an alternate universe.

    He had pitch black bones, he was smiling, his teeth were yellow, like honey. I looked at his eyes, red on the inside but his pupils were different. His left pupil was just a tiny white dot, but his right pupil was blue, interlaced with yellow. And out of his eyes, were blue strings of tears, almost as if he was never done crying…..

    I looked at what he was firing at and saw another sans, the sans of this universe.

    That sans was wearing a blue hoodie with yellow lines, blue shorts with yellow stripes with blue slippers. This was OuterTale Sans.

    The black sans spoke.

    «Y-Y’know, you, have a v-ve-ve-very weird code.»

    His voice was distorted, getting louder then quieter then changing all together.

    «Seriously, I-IN sPace??? H-HOW are we evIn even not floating right now? Seriously OuterSans?»

    Outer Tale Sans replied, «I don’t know, maybe I’m just such A STAR that I don’t make sense.»

      I almost started laughing hard, but the black sans pulled on something, it was OuterTale Sans’ soul!

    I grabbed my brush and ran towards the black sans!

    «ENOUGH!» I shouted jumping on a platform.

    He looked at me with a crooked a smile.

    «G-G-Greaaaaaaatttt I get to erase a-a-another AU»

    Outertale Sans ran away while I caused a distraction.

    I tried slapping the black skeleton with my paintbrush but he dodged swiftly then four strings went directly at me.

    I dodged two strings but one grabbed me by the leg and the other grabbed my arm, making me drop my brush and pulled me to him.

    The word «error» flowed around him.

    «N-Now before I snap y-y-your soul in 5 pieces, I’ll tell you my name, my name I-I-Is eRrOr saNs.»

    The black skeleton said to me.

      He tied his strings around my soul, but then, I barfed all over the ground, his strings, and him.

    «0 EW WHAT THE H-H-HECK IS 5 WR-WRAWNG-WRONG WITH YOU?!!!?!?!?!?!?3

    I giggled, his reaction made me laugh. He even made static and computer noises!

    His strings let go of me, I rushed towards him and jumped over him, he looked at me and sent three blue strings at my soul, but I dodged two of his strings and grabbed the remaining one.

    I grabbed my paint brush and painted a green wave of paint at Error Sans. He teleported above it and summoned a black Gaster blaster with the word error surrounding it, and grabbed it with his strings.

    He pulled it towards me while it fired its blast.

    I quickly painted a wall of thick orange ink.

    The blast almost cracked open my orange ink, so I jumped out of the way just before it burst open.

    I looked at Error Sans, he was riding one of his Gaster Blasters straight toward me, I pulled out a blue ink packet from my strap and threw it toward him making needles of blue ink fling at him. He used his Gaster blaster as a shield, witch foiled my plans.

    «Give up already, w-we-e both know I’m going to k-k- K I L L   Y O U «he threatened.

    «No, I won’t let you, this is an innocent AU, why are you trying to destroy it?!?»

    «Don’t you S-see? It’s u-u-useless, nothing here is n-ne3ded! They wolL keep coming, they eventually will destroy the universe completely, making it c-c-collapse!»

    «We don’t know that!!! You’re making guesses!»

    «And y-y-you’re wasting my time, I-I’ll come back to this AU later! You’re   making me m-m-mad!!»

    Error Sans opened a portal, he ran into it leaving a slipper, I picked it up and stared at it.

    «Who was he….» I whispered.

    The portal closed, and I stood in the AU, wondering about the multiverse….
