Internal error cannot access configuration folder

Windows XP. foobar200 1.2.9. Columns UI. Все файлы находятся c:Program Filesfoobar2000. В системе две учётные записи. В той учётной записи из-под которой плеер устанавливался — он работает, при попытке запустить его в другой — сообщение об ошибке: Internal Error — Cannot access configuration folder.
Пожалуйста подскажите, как сделать, чтобы foobar работал в обеих учётных записях с одинаковыми настройками.

Установить портабл-версию в любую папку, но желательно НЕ системную.
Например у меня лежит тут — D:audioplayer

Спасибо, хотелось бы менее радикальное решение. Я так понимаю, в portable отсутствуют ассоциации, т. е. не отображаются иконки аудио файлов, что не есть хорошо. Кроме того, интересно знать и устранить именно причину ошибки.

Так по ходу можно только с портабл версией. Причём иконки можно сделать и в ней, заставив фубар себя проассоциировать при запуске:

Установить фубар НЕ в c:Program Files и удалить файл user_profiles_enabled. Портабельным делать не обязательно.

Я тоже столкнулся с такой проблемой. Такое происходит при запуске двух версий плейера — одна обычная, другая портабл. Для того чтобы портабл не слетел с настроек — надо сохранить fcl плейера, а иногда просто указать при запуске портабла на columns ui и все восстанавливается. Для того чтобы все заработало как следует — добавьте в ваш плейер в папку компоненты вот этот компонент (foo.jesus). Этот компонент сохраняет копии двух последних конфигураций вашего плейера.
А также в плейере — нажимаем ctrl+p — tools — WSH PANEL MODE — и убираем галочку с SAFE MODE.

Ввиду того что этот компонент был разработан для плейера версий 0.9 , он будет лишь только грамотно работать на плейере портабл версиях 0.9 а также и на портабл версиях 1.0. На обычном установленном плейере не тестировал.

Выставьте просто права на папку, я всем всё разрешил и ошибка ушла. У меня не портабельная версия фубара 1.3.1, виндоус 8

Just re-installed Foobar 2000 v.1.3.8.  I get an error message «Internal error — cannot access configuration folder».  This hasn’t happened before.  Any ideas what is causing the problem and how to resolve it?

Success!  Uninstalled Foobar2000, deleted the folders in AppDataRoamingfoobar, and then re-installed.  All seems OK — so far!

I don’t know if this help anyone by now: I had the same error message, but found a different solution.

Right-click the foobar2000 installation folder > Properties > Security tab
Click «ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES» and allow «Full control».
Do the same again to for Users.
Done!

BTW: I don’t know if this matters, but I didn’t (and still don’t) have a foobar folder under AppDataRoaming.

Found this thread on google. The above solutions didn’t work for me, but what the problem was for me was that I had foobar open on another user account on windows. Once I switched back to the other user, closed foobar, then went back to this account, it opened no problem.

The issue happens because foobar locks the configuration folder while it’s open. Hope it helps anyone else who comes across this problem.

This sounds odd, because config folder is created for each user separately, in their respective AppData/Roaming directory or in Documents and Settings/Application Data on older Windows OSes… Currently it is even possible that each user would have different set of plugins loaded, when they are installed through GUI and not manually into Program Files directory.

If there is no file user_profiles_enabled in folder with foobar2000.exe, then fb2k will use folder where it is installed to save all settings. So, in this case there will be one profile for all users.

OK, good point @Rolin! But was is default setting of installer — enabled or disabled per user profiles? It would be quite bothersome for me to test it on my OS as I keep components ready for all users in installation directory… :/

User profiles are enabled for global installs, and disabled for portable installs.

    Подскажите еще,почему когда добавляю плейлист файлами

    то падает отображение времени,а вот если добавляю папку

    то все нормально.

    Скачал сборку,которая значится первой на первой странице данной темы. Все работает,один нюанс — при запуске плеера выскакивает окно Информация — Не удалось загрузить DDL: foo_chronflow.dll Причина: Для этого компонента отсутствуют обязательные зависимые компоненты или компонент предназначен для другой версии foobar2000. Вопрос — что это значит и как сделать,чтобы это окно не появлялось при запуске. Плеер установлен на ноутбуке с Вистой.

    Скорее всего антивирус удаляет.

    Если правильно понял это 3D обложки. Не подскажете как удалить компонент foo-chronflow.dll из данной сборки, не могу найти,где он расположен. Все, нашел,спасибо— — — — — Добавлено — — — — —

    Еще один вопрос — указанная выше сборка не устанавливается на другой ноутбук с windows 10 . При попытке открыть плеер появляется окно Internal error — cannot access configuration folder

    klh, foobar2000 RU DarkOne + DUIFoon (17.09.2017 на вин 10 1703 работает просто очень чётко. На 1709 не фига не работает, сама винда гуано. Там проблем очень много. Я юзаю 1703 компакт. И ревлтек новые версии очень плохие.

    4. Click the Security tab, and then click

    6. In the Enter the object names to select box, type <VAR>computername</VAR>IIS_IUSRS, click
      Check Names, and then click
      OK.
      Note <VAR>Computername</VAR> is a placeholder for the computer name.
    7. Click to select the Read check box, and then click
      OK.
    8. In the Web.config Properties dialog box, click
      OK.

    but still the same error

    Hi,

    The worker process identity (Your application Pool User) and/or the IIS_IUSRS group needs at least Read access to the directory as well as the web.config file.

    After adding the rights for this user to the directory, let it inherit down to the web.config and try again. If you still experience the same access denied, then i would suggest running the

    Process Monitor tool to trace the “Access Denied”  error when accessing that file. You will be able to see who is trying to access it.

    At that point you can grant the appropriate access to the folder/config file.
