The issue template is there for a reason, please fill it. This report is so vague that I’m tempted to close it immediately.

I’ve managed to reproduce this error by feeding random data to the inflate stream as per this SO question/answer: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10577045/what-might-explain-an-invalid-stored-block-lengths-error.

The error message depends on the data being sent but after multiple runs I got:

Intresting fact is that we are not using perMessageDeflate (it’s disabled by default).

No, it doesn’t make much sense, if permessage-deflate is disabled I can’t see how this can happen.

In ws@2 , permessage-deflate is not disabled by default.

I’ve tried to track it down but I wasn’t successful. It’s absolutely strange. I might try to create some repro repo for you because I really don’t know where could be the other place which calls (pako) zlib.js – and why maxPayload «solved» it.

I see! I was able to catch the error – I had to add the handler to server not the client. My bad.

Also, I’ve realized that we are using ws@2.2.0 ( 😐 ) where perMessageDeflate was enabled by default. Once I have disabled it I got the error max payload size exceeded which is correct because it at least correlates with my other observations. Not sure how the size is computed though. The size of the file we are trying to transport should be around

45 MB, the default limit is

100 MB as I can see.

I will try to upgade our code to latest ASAP.

Invalid Stored block length — Error Oracle 12c DB installation in OEL6

I got the below error message during the installation on Oracle 12c DB in OEL6.

«Invalid Stored Block Length». And the installation got terminated.

All the pre-req got passed and now i got sucked at this step.

Can someone help me on this please.

The problem got solved, i have done the cksum of the downloaded files and it is not equal to the mentioned cksum in oracle download site.

I re-downloaded and completed the installation.

You didn’t post the particulars of what you are really doing or an exact copy of the installation log that might show the problem.

In my experience an «Invalid Stored Block Length» message has only occured when a corrupt ZIP file is being ‘unzipped’.

If that is what is happening for you then you have one or more corrupted download files. The only solution for that is to repeat the download of the installation files and verify that they are not corrupt.

You should first remove completely any existing files that were part of the download or install.

Search the web for ‘Invalid Stored Block Length’ and you will find plenty of references, none of which have ANYTHING to do with Oracle.

An Internal Error Occured — Invalid Stored Block Length

When try to sync im getting this on the client WINCE

CNS 9025,
Invalid Stored Block Length.

Following appears in the Server Message

This problem can occur on any platform.
Symptoms

The mobile user is not able to synchronize and fails with this Error: «An internal error has occurred. invalid stored block lengths»

There was no any modification on the mobile client or Mobile Server.

Cause
This Error Comes from the Bug 5508302 «INVALID STORED BLOCK LENGTHS WHEN SYNCRONIZING «

Apply the one-off patch «5508302» which is available on Metalink on your Mobile Server following the Readme.txt patch

On the Mobile Client where there is the issue, run the program c:mobileclientbinupdate.exe, to install the patch on the client.

The others Clients will receive the patch automatically by the dmagent.

Спасибо за быстрый ответ и извините за задержку, я работал над своим кодом, теперь я отправляю исходные данные на сервер вместе со сжатыми данными. Когда исходные данные поступают на сервер, я сдуваю их, чтобы увидеть сгенерированные буферы, удивительно, что буферы сжатых данных, отправляемых по сети, и буфер, сжатый на сервере, в частности, являются одними и теми же кроме двух первых байтов:

  это будет говорит вам, какой файл коррумпированный blob пришел откуда?
