Прохождение процедуры POST при начальной загрузке компьютера обычно сопровождается либо выводом заставки производителя, либо текстовыми пояснениями, иллюстрирующими процесс инициализации аппаратных компонентов. Если все в порядке, управление будет передано загрузчику операционной системы. Увы, столь привычная картина может быть нарушена сбоем при прохождении одного из POST-тестов. В этом случае из системного динамика (если он, конечно, есть) раздастся комбинация из нескольких звуковых сигналов, указывающая на сбойный компонент, а на экране отобразится сообщение об ошибке. Разобравшись, что оно означает, вы существенно упростите диагностику неисправности.

Если не удалось инициализировать видеокарту (скажем, она сама является источником проблем), при поиске неисправности придется ориентироваться только на звуковые сигналы. Впрочем, отсутствие изображения на экране само по себе служит хорошей подсказкой о возможной причине сбоя.

Иногда увидеть сообщение об ошибке мешает заставка производителя. Для ее сокрытия нажмите клавишу .

Надо отметить, далеко не все ошибки являются фатальными, т.е. препятствующими продолжению загрузки. Но это отнюдь не означит, что проблему можно оставить без внимания — сбоящий аппаратный компонент способен стать причиной нестабильной работы компьютера.

В зависимости от вызвавшего сбой аппаратного компонента, все ошибки можно условно отнести к нескольким группам. Рассмотрим их.

Ошибка выскакивает в самом начале загрузки, и только после долгого простоя (часов 10). После перезагрузки все запускается нормально. Интересно с чем это связано.

Система Вин ХП СП3, кстати у меня винчестер старый, я его раньше как большую флешку использовал — затаскал сильно.

KBC BAT test failed & other errors when booting

Hello, it’s my 1st post here (long time lurker) and I apologize in advance for the extremely lenthy wall of text that’s about to follow. My potato (old but very rarely used) has started acting a bit strange. I have tried to do all that I can (following the usual troubleshooting measures), but to no avail. So any help would be much appreciated.

Components:

AMD Phenom II 550 BE
Asus M4N68T MLE V2
2x 4GB DDR3 1600mhz
Zotac GTX 750 Ti
Corsair 2TB HDD
Antec VP500P (also tested with a ‘known good’ Corsair VS450)

OS is Win7 64bit Ultimate

Okay, so a few days ago, when shutting down my PC, I noticed that it displayed ‘Shutting down’ and then the display went off as usual, but I could still hear the hard drive and the fans. I waited around 5 mins (it usually shuts off completely just seconds after the display turns off) and after that I lost patience and held the cabinet’s power button to force it to shut down. The next day when I turned it on, the fans, hdd, etc started spinning, but there was no signal on the monitor. I opened the cabinet and refitted the gpu and the dvi-d cable, but still the same thing. Then after taking everything out one by one (RAM, PSU, GPU again, usb devices and even the CMOS battery) and connecting them back, the display came back on and everything seemed normal. Then after using it for a while, I powered it off. At next boot up, I started seeing ‘KBC BAT test failed’ and ‘Fatal error, system halted’ and it wouldn’t post. Changing the keyboard then fixed that. But next day again the error returned.

Now the computer only boots up when there’s no keyboard or mouse connected. And it still shows ne error messages when booting up such as ‘Keyboard/Interface error’. And after booting into win7 and then connecting the input devices it says that I have to reboot apply the changes which it didn’t do when connecting/disconnecting a usb keyboard/mouse before.

At one point it was also showing me ‘CPU Fan error’ and ‘CPU overvoltage error’. But now that doesn’t seem to happen.

My first thought was that it’s the PSU, but the problem persists with two known good PSUs. I’ve tried disconnecting the GPU and using the IGP, and using different ram/ram slots. Haven’t tried taking out the cpu/hsf ’cause I don’t have thermal paste.

So am I right in thinking that it’s the mobo? Or can it be something else?

Is your Power Cable Plugged into your GPU ?

The DVI-D is connected to the GPU. It doesn’t require any other cables to be plugged into it. It draws 75w directly from the mobo.

BTW, I failed to mention that the PC functions properly if I boot it w/o any mouse/keyboard and then connect them after windows loads. And then I have to unplugg the mouse/KB before it swotches off. Otherwise everything breaks (KBC BAT test failed) and I have to reset the cmos.

Из-за чего появляется Fatal error system halted при включении компьютера?

Что значит Chassis intruded! Fatal Error… System Halted?

На некоторых материнских платах, в настройках BIOS которых есть опция, отвечающая за отслеживание вскрытия корпуса системного блока при включении может появляться сообщение Chassis intruded! Fatal Error… System Halted или Case open detected. При этом загрузка операционной системы может начинаться после нажатия кнопки F1 или не начинаться вообще.

В данной статье мы расскажем что значит Fatal error system halted при включении компьютера и как это сообщение убрать.

Данное сообщение появляется если на материнской плате есть опция отслеживания физического вскрытия корпуса и она активирована в настройках.

При появлении Fatal error system halted прежде всего проверьте плотно ли закрыты боковые крышки системного блока и закручены ли болты.

Если корпус закрыт плотно либо вы хотите работать с открытым корпусом и убрать фразу Fatal error system halted при включении, то нужно войти в BIOS и отключить опцию с названиями Chassis Intrusion, Case Open Warning или Intruder Detection, Reset Case open status, переведя ее в положение Disabled.

Отключение опции, отвечающей за отслеживание состояния вскрытия корпуса

Если же выше описанная опция BIOS, отвечающая за работу датчика открытия корпуса отключена, а сообщение Fatal error system halted появляется все равно, или вы просто не можете войти в BIOS, то тогда нужно поискать на материнской плате переключатель CHASSIS, который активируется перестановкой перемычки и отключает отслеживание вскрытия корпуса.

В самом крайнем случае, если ничего не выходит попробуйте вытащить батарейку BIOS на 5 минут, затем вставьте ее, плотно закрутив корпус с обеих сторон и включите компьютер. Ошибка Chassis intruded! Fatal Error… System Halted должна пропасть.

Известны случаи, когда ошибка Chassis intruded! Fatal Error… System Halted появлялась из-за того, что материнская плата не была прикручена всеми болтами к корпусу. Установка недостающих болтов убирала сообщение Chassis intruded! Fatal Error… System Halted.

CMOS contents failed the Checksum check. Indicates that the CMOS data has

been changed by a program other than the BIOS or that the CMOS is not retaining

its data due to malfunction. This error can typically be resolved by using AMIBIOS

Setup.

Keyboard controller BAT test failed. This may indicate a problem with keyboard

controller initialization.

Keyboard is not present or the hardware is not responding when the keyboard

controller is initialized.

PS2 Keyboard support is enabled in the BIOS setup but the device is not detected.

Keyboard Controller failure. This may indicate a problem with system hardware.

PS2 keyboard is locked. User needs to unlock the keyboard to continue the BIOS

POST.

The system has been halted. A reset or power cycle is required to reboot the

machine. This message appears after a fatal error has been detected.

Indicates that <INS> key is pressed during the BIOS POST. The POST will load and

use default CMOS settings.

The password entered does not match the password set in the setup. This condition

may occur for both Supervisor and User password verification.

This message is displayed when ADM module is not present in the AMIBIOS8

ROM.

This message is displayed when language module is not present in the AMIBIOS8

ROM.
