Kyocera FS-1135MFP — ошибка F248

F248 — ошибка обработки изображения. В большинстве случаев такая проблема встречается из-за спецсимволов в задании на печать. Помогает перезагрузка устройства.

Если ошибка появляется периодически, то порядок действий следующий:

1. Проверьте какое задание на печать вызывает данную ошибку — возможно при печати особенных документов, символов.
2. Выполните обновление программы аппарата.
3. В настройках драйвера принтера (Пуск → Принтеры → Свойства → Параметры устройства → PDL) поставьте галочку — Режим GDI.

Если же ошибка отображается постоянно — замените главную плату устройства.

Поделитесь, пожалуйста, прошивкой, в свое время качал, но не могу найти. Очень срочно надо запустить аппарат, работа встала.

А то однажды тоже собрался было шить, а пока искал прошивку — устроил допрос пользователей. И выяснилось, что стала возникать данная ошибка исключительно при печати из программы Супермаг (аппарат стоит в продуктовом супермаркете) и началось это после обновления тамошним админом дров на аппарат.

В общем, всё решилось сменой драйвера (на какой именно — сейчас не скажу уже), а сам аппарат не пострадал.

Вы знаете, мне только предстоит ехать и искать причину. Нужно вооружиться прошивкой, дабы не сесть в лужу перед клиентом. Вы можете помочь?

I have a customer with a Kyocera FS6525 with a F248 error. After researching the error I realize a firmware upgrade is necessary. The problem Im having is rebooting the copier doesn’t reset the code. It will warm up and come to ready only to return with the error a few seconds after. Ive tried unplugging network cable and restarting and when it does come to ready quickly checking the print queue shows no print job at all to kill. No print job in the customers computer either. Rebooted computer to make sure their was no phantom print job somewhere and unplugged overnight. Still comes back. Tried to upgrade firmware even with the error coming up but firmware upgrade stalls when error comes up. Cant get into service mode either.

Is their a way to reset machine to reset error so I can upgrade firmware. Thanks in advance. Fairly new machine. Hope I don’t have to replace controller and explain that to customer. 🙁

Any time I have seen this error it has been caused by corrupt data being send to the printer. Unplug the network cable and restart. See if code reappears. Cancel all print job, clear queues etc.

Few threads on this already, this one is a good a place to start with a few good tips.

so if the network cable is left unplugged. completely off the ethernet LAN. and MFP restarted.. the code reappears? ?

i had this issue this week. (no code when off the network, plugged in.. 2 min later, the code hits)
after clearing all PCs and server.. it turned out to be coming from an XprintServer.. its that 3rd party wireless device that enables IOS devices to print.. it needed rebooting. so it was corrupt data coming somewhere from an Ipad or Mac or phone!

Do you have a fax option installed. if so, try removing the card and boot the machine. IF its comes ready then update f/w and reinstall fax card.

If fact remove any other option that the mcahine may have and update firmware if the machine comes ready.

Not sure how you are doing the f/w upgrade. But use usb stick with network cable unplug. If you are still getting the message this method, then try replacing the memory dimm

If the device is accidentally switched off and upgrading was incomplete, upgrade becomes impossible from a
USB flash device.
In that case, retry upgrading after recovering the software by following the procedure below.
Preparation
The CF memory card must be formatted in FAT or FAT32 in advance.
Extract the main firmware to download from the file.
Rename the file which was extracted from the archive. [DL_CTRL.2MW] to [KM_EMRG.2MW]
Copy the all extracted files to the root of the CF memory.
Procedure
1. Turn the main power switch off.
2. Install the CF memory card which contains
the firmware onto the main PWB.
3. Turn the main power switch on.
4. Rewriting of the PWB software will start
for restoration.
The memory and attention LEDs will be
blinking.
5. Only the Memory LED will be blinking
when rewriting is successful.
* : Only the Attention LED will be blinking
when rewriting is failed.
6. Turn the main power switch off.
7. Wait for several seconds and then
remove the CF memory from the main
PWB.
8. Extract the firmware to download from
the archive and copy to the root of the
USB flash device.
NOTE: Deletes the «ES_SKIP.on» file
When it is contained directly under the
USB memory.

Find the computer that’s sending the print job and delete from queue. I always see this code when customers are printing from a website using internet explorer.

I agree with the above. But he said the code is popping up even with the nic cable uplugged and the machine print que has no jobs. Also cannot upgrade firmware.
Therefore i posted the emergency upgrade method that i found in the sm.

One more thought came to memory. Open side door and leave open. power up machine and go to service mode and do u21.

RAM memory is cleared when MFP is power cycled. but hard drives hold data. (previously spooled print jobs)
does it have a HD?

we’re absolutely clear about this right? the machine is powered up WITHOUT the ethernet cable plugged in.. and then it throws the code.

like those that have stated, reboot the machine WITHOUT the network cable, no error, pls proceed to RESTART PRINTER SPOOLER on suspected workstation under «windows services» or «services.msc» (network cable is still left unplugged)

sometimes you can see the job stuck on queue, sometimes you cant as its gone.

are you sure its from ONE particular computer?

can you see the file name from the Print log and traceback from there?

but with the cable unplugged the code shows up. oh dear. (some of us havent seen this scenario yet, hence we asking to confirm)

You are correct. NIC cable is unplugged and kept unplugged through the boot process. I have also tried opening side and/or front door to try force the firmware update through. Still no go. The one suggestion I haven’t tried as of yet is the emergency update. No HDD on this model. I believe that was an upgrade that was never added. I also don’t remember seeing a memory card (maybe I just overlooked it). There is a memory slot for one but no card.

im really hoping that my only choice is not a board replacement at $895.00 my cost. That’s really going to be tough to explain to my customer with a machine less than a year old why they’re in need of such an expensive repair. This all started from what im guessing is a corrupt print job. Customer was printing at the time of initial error. We haven’t been able to clear it since.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Unfortunately nothings worked so far. I would like to solve this without replacing pcb in case anybody has this issue down the road. But as you know we need to get the customer up and running asap.:mad:

something i just thought of

google for lpr jar utility,download and run it. then use notepad to and input the prescribe command for engine reset. google for it also or look on the search here.

open the utility and input ip address of the machine and the path to the notepad file and have this ready.

as soon as the machine boots up send the command.

You are right, no hdd on this machine and memory is built in with option slot for upgrade. but f248 all point to memory buffers. so either the internal memory ram has gone bad or main board failure. the engine reset is just a shot, but i have seen that do miracles when i thought all is lost. Also see if you have a memory upgrade and install it on the machine and cross fingers.

началось все с простой ошибки F248.
откинул сетевой провод, рестарт, сброс задания.
а дальше началось. еще не подключил сетевой провод принт упал в ошибку F217. не знаю что это. перезагрузил. принтер вышел в готовность ,но при попытке печати калибровочной страницы из сервисного меню принт. выдал — системная ошибка F219. рестарт — системная ошибка F214.
далее прекратил попытки. я не могу найти определение этим ошибкам.
если я правильно понимаю все они из одной категории. а более подробно может кто подсказать?

сбрось настройки по умолчанию.
Обнови встроенное ПО.

снимаю HDD и память на диагностику, а дальше ПО по необходимости.

проблема решена более банально.
1) Check contact of the DDR memory and check function.
вытащил оба модуля памяти и вычистил контакты. рестарт- все норм.
п.с. тестирование HDD (по секторное чтение) ничего особенного не выявило.
около 300 секторов с задержкой чтения но не более.
