Main video output error video output creation failed - Исправление ошибок и поиск оптимальных решений проблем

Hello,

We have been using libvlc for a few years, with the official release, and it was working fine, until recently when we were unable to play some files containing custom tracks (more on this at https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc/-/issues/26505). So we ended up compiling the 4.0.0 version with our simple fix; the lib has been compiled from linux following the suggested cross-compilation approach.

The VLC player compiled plays the movie correctly, both video and audio are played.

When I try to play the video from our application with libVLC integrated, audio is being played appropriately, and also seek is working fine, but I video is not being displayed.

I checked the output on the console, and did a little bit of comparisons between the output of the command-line vlc compiled, and the console output in Visual Studio, and I observe that apparently the libVLC is unable to create the video output display.

lines in bold in the above snippet repeat themselves while the file is being played.

Could it be that I need to pass to the library some initialization option?
As I side note, when creating an instance of the library with libvlc_new, it is loading ALL the modules (many of which are not required) in the plugin directory taking forever, and I cant find a way to control the startup process appropriately.

Any kind of suggestion would be greatly appreciated, and if you need any further details I’ll do my best to provide them.

[SOLVED] VLC(1.1.9-1) failed to create video output

Hi, yesterday I upgraded vlc

[2011-04-15 14:37] upgraded vlc (1.1.8-2 -> 1.1.9-1)

and now im not getting video output. Message console gives me the following output

main error: video output creation failed
main error: failed to create video output
signals error: signal 17 overriden (0x7fec6e384280)
signals error:  /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4(?)[(nil)]

I thought vlc was not founding libQtCore.so.4 but i have it and gave me the following output

Try changing the video output module under Preferences > Video > Output. Set if back to default if its not set to that, otherwise try Xvideo or X11 then some of the others.

AFAICT the Signal 17 error is normal its the error above it that you are interested in.

Удаление папки ~/.config/vlc помогло, но до следующей настройки проги под себя (добавление адреса потокового видео и активации фильтров черестрочности видео).

В папке ~/.config/vlc есть файлы vlc-qt-interface.conf и vlcrc.
В vlcrc вроде как все строки закомментированы. А в vlc-qt-interface.conf не так много всего, но я в нем ничего не вижу эдакого.

Обновился до 12.04.
Теперь в VLC при воспроизведении потокового видео есть звук, но нет картинки. Версия дров 295.40.

Тебе же терминал говорит чотко: ERRORE во всех строках. До устанавливай остальные модули к VLC и пробуй.

Бес труда и пальцем в носу не по ковыряешься и в Linuxe не разбирёси!!!

Тоже перестал запускаться VLC. Полное удаление и переустановка через Synaptic не помогли. Кстати, при обновлении пакетов в Synaptic выдает ошибку, что не найден ключ.

Аппаратное декодирование видео в VLC

Доброго времени суток,
Почему-то в VLC-плеере не работает воспроизведение видео с помощью VDPAU, хотя соответствующий плагин установлен, библиотеки и компоненты драйвера тоже. Подскажите, может проблеба с совместимостью библиотек плагинов, драйверов или может это из-за того, что сессия по-умолчанию на Wayland? Вывод vainfo:

Кстати, на этом же железе, но на параллельно установленной Manjaro KDE Plasma всё работает, просто в настройках VLC, в разделе видео выбрал VDPAU-вывод

Я не буду утверждать что проблема в версии VLC, но чуть более новая версия VLC из flatpak работает нормально. Вот мой вывод vainfo:

И кстати у меня тоже карта AMD (но дискретная, сам процессор без видео).

У меня в KDE Wayland вообще никакие видео не воспроизводятся в VLC. В flatpak версии работает исправно в wayland. Кроме того в системной версии какая-то проблема с .mkv и .mp4 файлами — во многих видео такого формата есть эффект полосок (т.е. изображение пикселирузется и похоже будто на него наложены полоски) вот так:

Для сравнения в репозиториях 3.0.16, а flatpak 3.0.17.4. И кстати в Manjaro почти такая же версия. Думаю стоит запросить обнволение vlc если есть такая возможность.

Просто переключитесь в режим x11.
В этой версии Росы режим wayland предоставляется как дополнительная опция.
Но она не поддерживается на уровне системы.
Просто не стали её отключать по умолчанию.
Оставили на усмотрение пользователя.

Попробовал 3.0.17 из теста https://mirror.yandex.ru/rosa/rosa2021. … n/testing/ . Но мою проблему с линиями в видео это не решило. Боюсь она состоит в чём-то другом и версия флатпак чем-то отличается иным.

но в выводе говорит, что обновлений нет для этого пакета. Pull-реквест для новой сборки в ABF одобрен?

Да, собственно VLC сходит с ума (бесконечные ошибки в выводе и трясётся окно программы) даже при отключённом аппаратном ускорении. Вот такая картина на Wayland. Работает только звуковая дорожка:

А вот такая проблема в X11 почти со всеми видеофайлами (с аппаратным ускорением и без):

Это линии на видео. ROSA Media Player например всё показывает отлично в этом плане как и flatpak версия VLC. Отсюда и возникла идея что это проблема самого VLC.

Сыпет такими ошибками, но не уверен что они что-то значат толковое.

Я вообще никогда не использую vlc.
Только SMPlayer и qmplay2.
На ноутбуке у них при просмотре видео UHD 4K, загрузка процессора 3-4%.

Я не пойму, почему у вас установлено аппаратное ускорение на VDPAU.
Он предназначен и работает только на проприетарных драйверах nvidia.
Для остальных или vaapi или авто нужно ставить.

Я понял, спасибо за информацию. Но сути это не меняет, на самом деле аналогичная картина на всех настройках.

Т.е. в Wayland на любых настройках ускорения (включая отключение такового) наблюдаю тоже самое.

Проблема со строками в X11 также точно на различных настройках.

Отбой. Полное удаление настроек помогло на версии 3.0.17. Проверил только что. Придётся людям с такой же проблемой со строками на видео выполнить:

Поставил из указанной вами ссылки все пакеты.

В Wayland тоже всё починилось.

Поставил обратно 3.0.16 и все проблемы вернулись. Если сбросить конфиги на 3.0.17 то всё работает исправно как и в flatpak версии.

Доброго дня.
Аналогичная проблема с rtsp потоком на VLC 3.0.16. mplayer показывает видео без полосок.
Лечилось изменением вывода видео на через XCB, но не все фильмы в этом случае отображались. Удаление ./config/vlc/ не помогло.

и потом удалить конфиг, перезапустить VLC и попробовать снова

Могу сказать что VLC 3.0.17 прилетевший недавно в главном репозитории починил мои проблемы с видео.

Вывод через OpenGL на 3.0.17 остался глючный — для черезстрочных видео только одно поле отображается растягиваясь по высоте. Пришлось принудительно вывод видео указывать XVideo (XCB).
Конфигурацию после обновления удалял.

I’m working on a project making a semi-randomized video player on the Raspberry Pi 4 (64-bit OS with Desktop) using Python-VLC. I have a proof of concept working, but I get some strange error messages whenever I open a new video file or skip the playback position.

Here is the error when a new file is opened:

Here is the error when I skip playback position:

[0000007f6c013b10] main decoder error: Timestamp conversion failed for 315848867: no reference clock
[0000007f6c013b10] main decoder error: Could not convert timestamp 0 for FFmpeg

The program seems to work in spite of these, but there’s some minor lag I’d like to get rid of, and I want to make sure a problem doesn’t arise from these errors piling up since I plan on running this program continuously for long periods of time.

Can anyone help explain what these errors mean and how I can get rid of them?

Ran my program, according to my understanding of the VLC documentation. Works but is slightly laggy and throws errors.

Господа, всем доброго времени! Позвольте немного оживить тему и обратится к местным профессионалам.
Хочу сразу сказать, не пользуемся WTware в данном случае. Есть слабенький пк, к которому подрублен небольшой монитор. ПК на Вин10.
Задача такая, мозаикой вывести 4 камеры, в целом это получилось, НО! Камеры постоянно отваливаются, могут через секунду, могут через 15 минут, может сначала одна потом все, какие только параметры конфига я не пробовал, все без результатно, камеры разные, отваливаются все, пробовал снизить качество потока, тоже не вышло… подскажите куда копать, уже пол года маюсь! Заранее спасибо! Вот на данный момент конфиг выглядит так:

игрался с настройками vb, fps, file-caching, но ощущение что все безтолку. VLC стоит 2.1.5

VLC crashing

Since updating to 19.1 VLC crashes immediately after opening a video file. On the terminal I get these messages:
[00007ff318c7e930] chain filter error: Too high level of recursion (3)
[00007ff3180df2b0] main filter error: Failed to create video converter
LOTS of those, then:
[00007ff3240d1c30] main video output error: Failed to create video converter
[00007ff3240d1c30] main video output error: Failed to compensate for the format changes, removing all filters
[00007ff3180df2b0] gradfun filter error: Unsupported chroma (VDV0)
Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_i965.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
and finally:
[00007ff3240d1c30] main video output error: Failed to create video converter
[00007ff3240d1c30] main video output error: Failed to compensate for the format changes, removing all filters
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I have installed VDPAU from software manager (without the slightest idea what that might be…) without any luck
Any idea what might trigger the fault?

I have the same problem, I tried rm -rf .config/vlc/ on the terminal but it keeps happening, every time I try to cast it crashes

open Terminal type vlc SPACE drag a video and hit ENTER
post the output
