When I try to enter in a room, haxball says me:
«Connecting
Connecting to master.
Connecting to peer.
Trying reverse connection.
Connecting to peer. «.

How can I fix this problem?
I have the router «Fritz!Box 7530».

Haxball «master connection error» #1010

Hello, I am the 3v3 futsal rooms boss in Spain and many users tell me that they have that problem, not only when they enter in my rooms, also in all haxball rooms. I wanted to know if that problem can be solved

Is the error they get only «master connection error» or do they get the typical Connecting to peer. and then «Failed» first?

If they are getting only «master connection error» and nothing else then it might be a problem that I’m not aware of.

If they get the other errors too then it’s the usual connectivity issues and this page has the only suggestions that I know of that could help solve the issues.

Yes, the «Failed» error also appears.
But what I tell you, has happened only today in many players.

I’ve got the same issue, usually refreshing a couple times let’s me enter the rooms, but it’s just annoying.

Im Haxball Club founder, we have same issue too. We have 175 online for now but many users confirmed that problem also me too.

I have confirmed this issue and I am investigating the cause.

I’m not exactly sure of why this problem is happening now, however I’ve made some changes in the room server which might fix this issue.
Seems to be working fine at the moment but tell me if you see it happen again.

Hi, happened to me again. I tried to join usual and random rooms. All goes to Failed or Master connection error. In both of cases it stops after «Connecting to master. » or reverse connection. Most recently couldn’t join back to league game room I was connected first try 1 hour ago.
I had no issues in past.

Started to connect some rooms but still inconsistent results.

@basro Do you have any other tests or fixes in mind? I have no idea what happened. I can’t join rooms since this issue posted.

I can’t connect to any rooms! It gets stuck at the «Connecting to host» phase.

If you’re experiencing problems connecting to host then you are one of the unfortunate few people who have evil routers.

The reason you have this problem is because the NAT hole punching tech used to make P2P connections in Flash is not compatible with your network topology. This is not a problem with the game, it is a problem with Flash, there is nothing the dev can do about it.

Players have reported a few ways to solve this problem:

• Forwarding all the UDP ports in the range 1024..65535 (a lot I know, Flash will pick one at random from that range).
• If you are behind two routers enable UPnP in the first one.
• Configure your router to point to your computer as a DMZ host.
• Removing your router from the equation entirely and connect directly to the internet.
• If you are unable to enact the above fixes, don’t worry, there are some hosts that you will always be able to connect to, make sure to try every game available. You will be able to connect to at least one of them.

My nick turned red. The game said I’m desynchronized.

Your game got desynchronized and what you see on the screen will not be the same as what other players are seeing.

This happens in old computers that dont have the SSE2 instruction set. The only way to fix this issue is to play in a more modern computer.

If everyone in the room desynchronizes at the same time then it means that the host is to blame. In this case, try joining another room.

The game is all laggy!

HaxBall is a peer to peer game, if the game is lagging then maybe the room you joined is too far away or being hosted on a poor connection.

It is recommended that you close any apps that abuse your internet connection (BitTorrent clients!).

What do the two ping numbers in n/n format mean?

The two numbers are average/max ping times (from a sample of the 20 last ping messages).

In general ping times under 100 will make for a smooth game with virtually no lag. From 300 upwards lag will begin to be quite noticeable, though skilled players are often able to play decent games even under high ping times, so keep practicing!

The game got my country wrong!

HaxBall will determine your location by looking for your ip in a database, but it’s not always correct.

If your location is wrong you can change it in the options menu by clicking the «Change Country» button. (You can’t change the country if you are inside a room, access this feature from the rooms list options menu.)

How do I change the number on my player?

You can change the number on your player by using the /avatar command in the chat box.

For example typing «/avatar Me» in the chat box will replace your number with the text «Me».

You can use the command «/clear_avatar» to make haxball automatically set your number again.

Failed to connect to room host. | WebRTC problem. #1281

Hi. I want create 4 rooms on haxball. Now i’m created 2 rooms. But using VPN to create 2 more I get these errors. I’m creating rooms with VPS Server. Config:

Connecting to master.

Connecting to peer.

Trying reverse connection.

Failed to connect to room host.

If this problem persists please see the troubleshooting guide.

If no srflx or host candidates are found then it’s possible that webrtc is being blocked by your browser, in this case try disabling extensions or try running this test with a different browser.

Çoğu kişinin yaşadığı bu sorunu aynen ben de yaşadım. Ama maalesef bu konuda çözüm neredeyse hiç bir yerde yok.

Aslında bu sorunun kaynağı modemimizdir. Eğer modeminizin markası ZyXEL ise ne yazık ki bir kaç oda hariç hiçbir odaya giremezsiniz. Sürekli FAQ hatasıyla karşılaşmanız muhtemeldir.

Benim bildiğim kadarıyla ZyXEL dışındaki markalarda haxball ile ilgili bir sorun olmuyor. Olsa da bi kaç saat sonra kendiliğinden geçiyor.

Benim anlatacağım çözüm ZyXEL marka modemler içindir. Eğer diğer marka modemi olup , aynı sorunu yaşayanlar varsa hemen hemen onlar için de geçerlidir.

ZyXEL marka modem kullananlar için bu çözümden başka bir alternatif yoktur ve bu tamamen kesin bir çözümdür.

Çözüme geçmeden önce şunu belirtmek isterim ; Bu işlemler haxball dışındaki bazı sayfaların yavaşlamasına sebep olabilir. Eğer memnun kalmazsanız tekrar eski ayarlara dönebilirsiniz.

Şifrenizi daha önce değiştirmediyseniz doğru şifreyi girdikten sonra karşınıza yeni şifre ekranı gelecektir. Şifrenizi ister değiştirin , ister vazgeç butonuna tıklayıp devam edin.

Şimdi aşağıdaki gibi bir ekran gelecek:

Soldaki menüden Güvenlik > Güvenlik Duvarı ‘nı açıyoruz.

Karşımıza gelen ekranda aşağıdaki adımları uyguluyoruz:

Ardından «Kurallar» sekmesine geçiyoruz ve aşağıdaki adımları uyguluyoruz:

Aşağıdaki gibi devam:

Şimdi karşınıza çıkan ekranda Sol taraftaki numaralardan herhangi birini seçtikten sonra açılan sayfayı aşağıdaki gibi aynen doldurun:

Ardından «Geri» butonuna tıklayın , «Geri» tıkladıktan sonra açılan safyanın alt kısmında «Uygula» butonunu tıklayın.

Sonra en soldaki sekmeden Ağ > NAT bölümüne gidiyoruz ve aşağıdaki adımları uyguluyoruz:

Açılan sayfayı aşağıdaki gibi dolduruyoruz:

Açılan sayfada «Uygula» diyoruz ve işimiz bitmiş oluyor.

Artık sorun kalmadı ama yine olmazsa modemi resleyip tekrar deneyin.

Eğer adımlarda hata yapmadıysanız kesinlikle sorun çözülmüştür.

Sağ üst köşeden Çıkış yapıp Haxball’ı keyifle oynayabilirsiniz.
