Fortnite has a feature called custom matchmaking, which was introduced some time ago. It is a feature that makes it easy for people to get into the same game/lobby in Fortnite Battle Royale. Without a custom matchmaking key, it is random who you are queued up with when you start a game of Battle Royale.
Custom matchmaking is intended for streamers, content creators and competitive players. Streamers can use it to have fun with viewers, while competitive players can practice in the same game and server.
In the beginning, custom matchmaking was only used for larger tournaments that were officially affiliated with EPIC Games and Fortnite. Then later, a select group of people from the support-a-creator program got access, and later more people from the support-a-creator program were accepted.
Competitive players now entirely use custom keys for scrims and practice games. Whereas earlier, they had to try to get into the same games while doing scrims in Fortnite by queuing up at the same time.

How to get access to custom matchmaking keys and custom games
Please note that the requirements might be subject to changes in the future. The requirements listed here are the information we currently have. In the future and we will try to stay updated and update the page as soon as we hear about any changes.
The requirements are fairly simple:
- Be an accepted creator with a support-a-creator code (EPIC games affiliate program).
- Have at least 100 people using your support-a-creator code.
So let’s go a little more in-depth with the requirements.
How to become part of the support-a-creator program
The official website, states that the following are eligible to participate in the support-a-creator program:
Creators (active video makers, streamers, storytellers, artists, cosplayers, musicians, and community builders) who meet the criteria below.
- Has more than 1,000 followers on at least one major social platform (for example Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, Facebook, Mixer, etc.).
- Completes the Affiliate Agreement and abides by the Creator Code of Conduct.
- Is capable of receiving payment in a form that Epic supports (among others they support PayPal).
If you are accepted into the creator program, you will receive a support-a-creator code (SAC code).
This can be used to create affiliate links for various games, but specifically for Fortnite, people can also put in your creator code in the Fortnite item shop. Creators will then receive 5$ every time someone spends 10,000 V-bucks in-game with the code.

Previously you had to have a minimum amount of people using your code to get accepted to start custom games. Back then the magic number of people using your code, was around 100 people.
You can follow your supporters and earnings via the affiliate dashboard. Please note that EPIC Games strictly forbid anyone to talk about how much they earned through the creator program.
How to use custom matchmaking keys
You have been lucky enough to be accepted into the support-a-creator program, and people are now using your code. If you have not already received an email about you got access to custom matchmaking, try to send EPIC games a support ticket and ask them for access.
If you want to start a custom matchmaking, you need to click on game mode and then “Custom Options” in the lower right corner of the screen. You can then fill in a code you decide on and start the game. This will open up the queue.
Everyone else can join the game in the same way you create the game, by going to “Custom Options” and type in the same code. When there are enough people, the custom host clicks on “Start Game” and everyone will be put into the same server lobby.
To get into the same game, make sure that you have the same options as the custom host.
- You have selected the same server region in the in-game settings (Examples of regions are EU, NA East, NA West, Oceania, Brazil, Asia).
- You have selected the correct game mode (Solo, Duo, Squad, Arena Solo, Arena Duo, or an LTM mode).
- That you have typed in the same custom matchmaking key.

Код ошибки 401 – что это?
Коды состояния HTTP 400 возникают в случае проблем с выполнением запросов. В частности, ошибка 401 появляется, когда браузер отказывает вам в доступе к странице, которую вы хотите посетить.
В результате вместо загрузки страниц браузер выведет сообщение об ошибке. Ошибки 401 могут возникать в любом браузере, потому отображаемое сообщение может варьироваться.
К примеру, в Chrome и Edge вы, скорее всего, увидите иконку бумаги с простым сообщением о том, что запрашиваемая страница не отвечает. Вы увидите фразу «HTTP Error 401». Вам будет предложено связаться с владельцем сайта, если ошибка не пропадет:
В иных случаях и в других браузерах вы можете получить менее дружелюбное предупреждение. К примеру, может выводиться пустая страница с сообщением «401 Authorization Required»:

- Проверьте ваш URL.
Начнем с самого простого потенциального решения: убедитесь, что вы использовали верный URL. Это может выглядеть банально, но 401 ошибки нередко появляются, если URL-адрес был введен неправильно.

Как мы уже говорили выше, одной из распространенных причин появления ошибки 401 являются устаревшие или неправильные данные кэша или cookies. Потому, если URL введен верно, следующий шаг – чистка кэша браузера.
В итоге вы удалите любую недействительную информацию, которая хранится локально в вашем браузере и может приводить к прерываниям процесса аутентификации. Аналогично, файлы cookie вашего браузера могут содержать аутентификационные данные, которые нужно обновить.
Если вы пользуетесь Chrome, вам нужно щелкнуть по иконке с меню в правом верхнем углу браузера и выбрать пункт Settings. В разделе «Privacy and security» нажмите «Clear browsing data:»
Далее вводим URL требуемого сайта и очищаем для него данные.
В других браузерах процесс очистки кэша и cookie может отличаться. К примеру, в Firefox нужно щелкать по иконке с библиотекой и выбирать History > Clear Recent History:

Error 91
This error comes up from disconnection or inability to join a party. If it’s a disconnection issue, players will need to verify the game files in the launcher’s settings. Otherwise, players can switch their party status to private to join a party.
Error 93
Like Error 91, this error comes up from disconnection or inability to join a party. For this error, there is no definitive cause. There are a few solutions that seem to work for many people:
- Reset your skin.
- Toggle your party mode between Public and Private.
- Join your friends through the Epic Games friends list rather than the Fortnite list.
AS-3
No connection at all. Treat this exactly the same as the first error.
IS-0005
This error is from not being able to connect to the Epic Games launcher. In this situation, players should check the status of the Epic Games server. Alternatively, this can be an issue with a VPN, proxy servers, or firewalls. Make sure all of these are disabled when playing.
LS-0005
This error is due to an issue with the sever and a patch. More than likely, this means that either the Epic Games server is down, or that the player’s internet is too slow or disconnected.
LS-0015
This error is usually due to an issue with the player’s internet. Player’s should first check whether the console or PC is connected to the internet. Then check the internet service status to ensure the service isn’t down. Finally, test the internet speed. If the speed is slow or being interrupted, try to use a wire connection to the console or PC.

Fortnite Launcher Errors & Error Codes
White Screen Epic Games Launcher
If players have their launcher screen never load in, this means that the web cache is full. Players can empty the cache from C:UserPC-NameAppDataLocalEpicGamesLauncherSaved.
Error 0
Instead of launching Fortnite, this error will ask the player to restart the client. Players receiving this error will need to verify the game files in the launcher’s settings or run a command prompt as an administrator. The command prompt is «sfc/scannow.»
Error 500
Error 500 happens when the game is unable to launch. This is one of the sad bugs that cannot be fixed on the player’s end. Simply report the issue to ensure that Epic Games can fix it on their end.
Error 30005
This error keeps players from launching the game due to a bug with the software that is meant to keep players from cheating. To solve this issue, players will need to enter into the program files, and further into the EasyAntiCheat section. Then delete the .sys file inside.

Miscellanious Fortnite Error Codes
bad_module_info has stopped working
This error likely means that some software is either out of date or damaged. Players can verify their game files or change their full-screen settings to make the game easier to run. However, if this doesn’t solve the issue, players may need to update their graphic card drivers or windows.
CE-34878-0
This error causes the PS4 to crash. Players will either need to update their PS4 or restart it.
CE-40852-9
This error keeps the PS4 from launching the game. To fix this, players should double-check their internet connection and verify that their IP is correct.
DP-6
This error comes from players not being able to download on PC. Players can fix this by running the Epic Games Launcher as an administrator.
IS-BV04
This error shows up from a failure to verify the build. To solve this go into the hard drive’s Properties section. Then make sure that the Epic Games files are under the type called NTFS. If they are labeled FAT32, they’ll need to be converted over to NTFS.
SU-PQR1603
This is a self-update error. Players can fix this by going into the Properties section of the Epic Games launcher and adding «-SkipBuildPatchPrereq» to the end of the Target tab.

Following the recent Fortnite 3.5.0 update, many players are beginning to notice the “Custom Matchmaking Key” option on the game’s main menu, which is tied into hosting and joining a Fortnite private match. Epic Games hasn’t been very clear in explaining what the Fortnite Custom Matchmaking Key is used for, leading to a lot of confusion. Here’s what you need to know about Fortnite private match support and those curious Custom Matchmaking Keys.
Fortnite Private Match: Custom Matchmaking Key
Getting into a Fortnite private match requires the use of a Custom Matchmaking Key. When a private match is hosted, a sequence of digits is used to grant access to a specific group. For example, if Epic Games was hosting a private match with livestreamer Ninja, they might use “NinjaFansOnly” as the Custom Matchmaking Key. The match would then be made private for those with the Custom Matchmaking Key, and nobody else.
Using a Fortnite Custom Matchmaking Key is a great way for players with large followings to quickly set up a round. There’s no messing around with friend and game invites, or anything like that. It’s just a simple code that needs to be shared and then the lobby will start filling up.
Fortnite Private Match: Can Anyone Set Up a Private Match?
Unfortunately, for those of us “normal” players who just want to host a Fortnite private match with friends, Epic Games hasn’t yet opened up the ability for players to create Custom Matchmaking Keys. There have been occasions where the developer has provided a Custom Matchmaking Key to a YouTube/Twitch streamer, which results in a good bit of promotion, but regular players haven’t yet had that luxury.
It’s possible that Epic Games is testing out Fortnite private match support on a smaller scale before rolling it out to the masses. Here’s hoping we’ll all be able to create custom matchmaking keys soon!

Fortnite has a feature called custom matchmaking, which was introduced some time ago. It is a feature that makes it easy for people to get into the same game/lobby in Fortnite Battle Royale. Without a custom matchmaking key, it is random who you are queued up with when you start a game of Battle Royale.
Custom matchmaking is intended for streamers, content creators and competitive players. Streamers can use it to have fun with viewers, while competitive players can practice in the same game and server.
In the beginning, custom matchmaking was only used for larger tournaments that were officially affiliated with EPIC Games and Fortnite. Then later, a select group of people from the support-a-creator program got access, and later more people from the support-a-creator program were accepted.
Competitive players now entirely use custom keys for scrims and practice games. Whereas earlier, they had to try to get into the same games while doing scrims in Fortnite by queuing up at the same time.
Custom games have therefore made it a lot easier for professional and competitive players to practice and implement their own rules. If you want to read more on how you can join custom scrim games, we have made a guide on Fortnite Custom Scrims and Discord servers.
How to get access to custom matchmaking keys and custom games
Please note that the requirements might be subject to changes in the future. The requirements listed here are the information we currently have. In the future and we will try to stay updated and update the page as soon as we hear about any changes.
The requirements are fairly simple:
- Be an accepted creator with a support-a-creator code (EPIC games affiliate program).
- Have at least 100 people using your support-a-creator code.
So let’s go a little more in-depth with the requirements.
How to become part of the support-a-creator program
The official website, states that the following are eligible to participate in the support-a-creator program:
Creators (active video makers, streamers, storytellers, artists, cosplayers, musicians, and community builders) who meet the criteria below.
- Has more than 1,000 followers on at least one major social platform (for example Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, Facebook, Mixer, etc.).
- Completes the Affiliate Agreement and abides by the Creator Code of Conduct.
- Is capable of receiving payment in a form that Epic supports (among others they support PayPal).
If you are accepted into the creator program, you will receive a support-a-creator code (SAC code).
This can be used to create affiliate links for various games, but specifically for Fortnite, people can also put in your creator code in the Fortnite item shop. Creators will then receive 5$ every time someone spends 10,000 V-bucks in-game with the code.

Previously you had to have a minimum amount of people using your code to get accepted to start custom games. Back then the magic number of people using your code, was around 100 people.

How to use custom matchmaking keys
You have been lucky enough to be accepted into the support-a-creator program, and people are now using your code. If you have not already received an email about you got access to custom matchmaking, try to send EPIC games a support ticket and ask them for access.
If you want to start a custom matchmaking, you need to click on game mode and then “Custom Options” in the lower right corner of the screen. You can then fill in a code you decide on and start the game. This will open up the queue.
Everyone else can join the game in the same way you create the game, by going to “Custom Options” and type in the same code. When there are enough people, the custom host clicks on “Start Game” and everyone will be put into the same server lobby.
To get into the same game, make sure that you have the same options as the custom host.
- You have selected the same server region in the in-game settings (Examples of regions are EU, NA East, NA West, Oceania, Brazil, Asia).
- You have selected the correct game mode (Solo, Duo, Squad, Arena Solo, Arena Duo, or an LTM mode).
- That you have typed in the same custom matchmaking key.

Epic Games hasn’t been very clear in explaining what the Fortnite Custom Matchmaking Key is used for, leading to a lot of confusion. Here’s what you need to know about Fortnite private match support and those curious Custom Matchmaking Keys.
Fortnite Private Match: Custom Matchmaking Key
Getting into a Fortnite private match requires the use of a Custom Matchmaking Key. When a private match is hosted, a sequence of digits is used to grant access to a specific group. For example, if Epic Games was hosting a private match with livestreamer Ninja, they might use “NinjaFansOnly” as the Custom Matchmaking Key. The match would then be made private for those with the Custom Matchmaking Key, and nobody else.
Using a Fortnite Custom Matchmaking Key is a great way for players with large followings to quickly set up a round. There’s no messing around with friend and game invites, or anything like that. It’s just a simple code that needs to be shared and then the lobby will start filling up.
Fortnite Private Match: Can Anyone Set Up a Private Match?
Unfortunately, for those of us “normal” players who just want to host a Fortnite private match with friends, Epic Games hasn’t yet opened up the ability for players to create Custom Matchmaking Keys. There have been occasions where the developer has provided a Custom Matchmaking Key to a YouTube/Twitch streamer, which results in a good bit of promotion, but regular players haven’t yet had that luxury.
It’s possible that Epic Games is testing out Fortnite private match support on a smaller scale before rolling it out to the masses. Here’s hoping we’ll all be able to create custom matchmaking keys soon!

Custom Fortnite matches are finally here — but not for everyone. Here’s what you need to know about private matches, custom matches, and getting that coveted matchmaking key.
Fortnite‘s 3.5 Patch brought with it some major shakeups to the game. From replay mode to the Port-a-Fort grenade and new Save the World quests, we’re getting an entirely new take on the game, and that’s just the beginning. But custom, private matchmaking is what we’re really excited about.
Epic Games added the new feature very quietly with this update, and the developers have oddly remained totally mum on exactly how it works and who can use it. If you log into Battle Royale mode and take a look at the main menu screen, a curious addition now appears in the bottom right corner — Custom Matchmaking.
Although it seems like it might run counter to the game’s very open, large scale nature, there is finally now a method to create a Fortnite private match… for some people.
Players have been asking for this feature since 2017 in order to run private tournaments for local — or even national — events, and now it has (almost) been added to the game.
So how do you get a custom matchmaking key right now? Well, it’s complicated.

Fortnite Private Match Keys Aren’t For Everyone … Yet
While having a quick, random 100-player match is kind of the whole point of Fortnite, there are times where you just want specific people to join a game, like for a a friendly roommate tournament or YouTuber gathering.
For those Twitch streamers or YouTubers with large followings, private matches offer a quick way to setup a Battle Royale round that still hits the full 100 players but has more exclusivity than an open solo or squads match.
Unfortunately, Fortnite’s custom matchmaking isn’t available for John Q. Public at the moment. You can click the option and enter a custom matchmaking key to play a game (if someone else has a private match created already), but you can’t actually create your own Fortnite custom matches quite yet.
The feature is still in testing with a small number of palyers and only select content creators, YouTubers, and Twitch streamers with large followings are being given custom matchmaking keys.

With any big game that requires players to be fully connected online, like Fortnite, there can be a lot of things that go wrong. There are several error codes that can pop up, and each one means something different. We’ll go over what each code means and how to troubleshoot the issue without contacting a help service.
Fortnite Connectivity Error Codes
errors.com.epicgames.common.server_error
This is a general connection issue that can be either on the player’s internet connection or a server issue.
Error 91
This error comes up from disconnection or inability to join a party. If it’s a disconnection issue, players will need to verify the game files in the launcher’s settings. Otherwise, players can switch their party status to private to join a party.
Error 93
Like Error 91, this error comes up from disconnection or inability to join a party. For this error, there is no definitive cause. There are a few solutions that seem to work for many people:
- Reset your skin.
- Toggle your party mode between Public and Private.
- Join your friends through the Epic Games friends list rather than the Fortnite list.
AS-3
No connection at all. Treat this exactly the same as the first error.
IS-0005
This error is from not being able to connect to the Epic Games launcher. In this situation, players should check the status of the Epic Games server. Alternatively, this can be an issue with a VPN, proxy servers, or firewalls. Make sure all of these are disabled when playing.
LS-0005
This error is due to an issue with the sever and a patch. More than likely, this means that either the Epic Games server is down, or that the player’s internet is too slow or disconnected.
LS-0015
This error is usually due to an issue with the player’s internet. Player’s should first check whether the console or PC is connected to the internet. Then check the internet service status to ensure the service isn’t down. Finally, test the internet speed. If the speed is slow or being interrupted, try to use a wire connection to the console or PC.

Fortnite Launcher Errors & Error Codes
White Screen Epic Games Launcher
If players have their launcher screen never load in, this means that the web cache is full. Players can empty the cache from C:UserPC-NameAppDataLocalEpicGamesLauncherSaved.
Error 0
Instead of launching Fortnite, this error will ask the player to restart the client. Players receiving this error will need to verify the game files in the launcher’s settings or run a command prompt as an administrator. The command prompt is «sfc/scannow.»
Error 500
Error 500 happens when the game is unable to launch. This is one of the sad bugs that cannot be fixed on the player’s end. Simply report the issue to ensure that Epic Games can fix it on their end.
Error 30005
This error keeps players from launching the game due to a bug with the software that is meant to keep players from cheating. To solve this issue, players will need to enter into the program files, and further into the EasyAntiCheat section. Then delete the .sys file inside.

Miscellanious Fortnite Error Codes
bad_module_info has stopped working
This error likely means that some software is either out of date or damaged. Players can verify their game files or change their full-screen settings to make the game easier to run. However, if this doesn’t solve the issue, players may need to update their graphic card drivers or windows.
CE-34878-0
This error causes the PS4 to crash. Players will either need to update their PS4 or restart it.
CE-40852-9
This error keeps the PS4 from launching the game. To fix this, players should double-check their internet connection and verify that their IP is correct.
DP-6
This error comes from players not being able to download on PC. Players can fix this by running the Epic Games Launcher as an administrator.
IS-BV04
This error shows up from a failure to verify the build. To solve this go into the hard drive’s Properties section. Then make sure that the Epic Games files are under the type called NTFS. If they are labeled FAT32, they’ll need to be converted over to NTFS.
SU-PQR1603
This is a self-update error. Players can fix this by going into the Properties section of the Epic Games launcher and adding «-SkipBuildPatchPrereq» to the end of the Target tab.
