My Summer Car has a dynamic weather system, based on Finnish climate conditions in the summer. There are four distinguishable types of weather in the game, all made to be as realistic as possible to fit in with the overall realism of My Summer Car.
The weather is also an important part of the game’s pacing, as some of the weather types affect the availability of certain activities. The current position of the clouds over Alivieska can be checked on page 188 of the teletext service on the TV.
Types of weather[]
Clear[]
A cloudless summer day.
Most of the time the weather is sunny with no clouds in the sky. This is the most opportune time to partake in any of the various outdoor activities, such as visiting Sirkka, as she is only present at her house when there are no clouds in the sky.
Cloudy[]
Light grey clouds during a cloudy day.
The sky is covered in light grey clouds, reducing visibility by partially blocking sunlight. The conical rain areas can be easily seen at this time.
Rainy[]
Rain heavily reduces visibility.
The darker, conical areas in the sky mark the locations where it is currently raining during a thunderstorm or when it is cloudy. Being inside one of these areas will cause an immediate downpour around the player, and reduce visibility by a considerable amount. Rain will pour down on a car’s windshield, forcing the player to use the windshield wipers. Rain does not have an effect on any of the car parts other than the windshield.
Thunderstorm[]
A lightning during a thunderstorm.
Dark grey clouds, frequent lighting strikes, and possible heavy rain. One shouldn’t answer the phone during a thunderstorm, because there is a risk of dying from an electric shock. A lightning strike will cause an explosion at the point of impact, scattering any nearby objects. The house lights will also flicker during a thunderstorm, and a direct hit on the building might cause a house fire. When the storm is coming or has subsided, lightning flashes can still be seen and distant rumble heard.

- Dying by answering the phone during a thunderstorm will unlock the «Don’t answer that call» achievement.
- It can rain infinitely if you go to jail during a storm

Если вам хочется как можно быстрее начать беззаботно кататься по округе, обратите внимание на читы.
С помощью читов вы сможете добавить себе денег, купить любые запчасти, забыть о ремонте, стать неуязвимым и даже телепортироваться от одной локации к другой. И это, разумеется, далеко не всё.
Читы в игре представляют собой консольные команды, для активации которых необходимо сперва получить доступ к консоли. Разработчик использовал её для дорелизной отладки игры, после чего она случайно попала в релиз, но через несколько дней была отключена, и теперь по умолчанию недоступна.
Консоль можно включить, если при создании новой игры ввести Rauhijoketti в качестве фамилии вашего персонажа. Также это получится сделать и в уже начатой игре, отредактировав файл сохранения с помощью редактора сохранений MSCEditor. После этого консоль можно будет открыть, зайдя в меню опций нажатием F1 или Esc. Команды вводятся по отдельности, ввод каждой из них подтверждается нажатием Enter.

MSCLoader
MSCLoader — самый главный мод-инструмент для My Summer Car, позволяющий устанавливать и использовать другие моды для этой игры.
Установка:
— Распаковываем в любое удобное место (кроме папки с игрой);
— Запускаем MSCPatcher.exe;
— Нажимаем на MSC Folder и выбираем папку с игрой (SteamsteamappscommonMy Summer Car);
— Система определит, какую версию игры вы используете;
— Вы можете сами установить, куда будут сохраняться моды, или система сделает это автоматически;
— После удачной установки нажмите на Launch MSC;
— В этом случае, если все правильно, запустится игра (или можете запустить игру вручную, без разницы);
— Идем в папку с модами (выбирали локацию сами, или система создала автоматически);
— Устанавливаем нужные нам моды в эту папку и наслаждаемся!

Мини-карта / Minimap
Мод для Май Саммер Кар добавляет в игру полностью функционирующую мини-карту. В зависимости от скорости транспортного средства мини-карта автоматически увеличивается и уменьшается в масштабах. Имеются как дневной режим, так и ночной, и многое другое.
— Ctrl + Numpad 9 — включение или выключение мини-карты в любой момент;
— Ctrl + Numpad 5 — включение и выключение большой карты;
— Иконки для некоторых локаций;
— Иконки для транспортных средств некоторых NPC;

Крышка топливного бака / Fuel Tank Door
Мод для My Summer Car добавляет крышку топливного бака для транспортного средства «Сатсума». Крышку можно открывать, закрывать, прикрепить, отсоединить, прикрутить при помощи болтов и так далее. Местоположение смотрим на последнем скриншоте (находится рядом с домом бабушки). Красится при помощи баллончиков.

Данный мод показывает всю информацию о двигателе для транспортного средства «Сатсума» в My Summer Car. Отображает износ, поврежденные компоненты, и прочие параметры. Сочетание клавиш для открытия GUI: правый CTRL + F.

Ремонтный молоток / Repair Hammer (Remade)
Мод для Май саммер кар дает молотку (кувалде) новое применение. Теперь вы можете при помощи молотка починить некоторые повреждения своего автомобиля. ПКМ работает для разрушения, а ЛКМ — для починки. Смотрите, не путайте.
