Players can face situations where the game can suddenly close itself (with or without any error message) or even experiencing BSOD errors (‘Blue Screen of Death’ or stop errors, that cause the OS to crash and no longer operate safely) that originate a restart of the PC. Please, follow the next steps and try to rerun the game after each one of them:
- Make sure that your PC meets the approximate system requirements of the game.
- Run the launcher as administrator and set full rights for the current user (folder properties, ‘Security’ tab) for the game folder and for the launcher folder.
- Temporarily turn off all antivirus, security programs and firewall, including Windows Defender and all its features.
- Check the integrity of game files through the launcher. Please, click on the little arrow pointing downwards right of the ‘Online’ profile status and, in the menu that appears, click on ‘Integrity check’.
- Go to the Programs section of the Control Panel in Windows, search Escape from Tarkov, right click and press ‘Uninstall’. Then, please, download the game through your profile page and fresh install it.
- Try downloading and installing the latest version of Microsoft .NET Framework. In the link provided, please download the recommended version and follow the instructions provided in the installer.
- Install all Windows updates available in the Update Center.
- Install the latest drivers for all your devices.
- Check the system disk and game disk with the utility Chkdsk.
- Open command prompt by clicking Start and typing “cmd”, please use right click and “Run as Administrator”.
- Type chkdsk X: (where X is a drive with OS installed) in the black console and press the key.
- If there are errors found, please repair them following the instructions provided in this link.
- Do the same manipulations, typing instead of “X” the disc drive where the game is installed.
THE GAME IS CRASHING WITH A UNITY ERROR CODE
Please, follow the next steps and try to rerun the game after each one of them:
- Run the launcher as administrator and set full rights for the current user (folder properties, ‘Security’ tab) for the game folder and for the launcher folder.
- Temporarily turn off all antivirus, security programs and the firewall in the system, including Windows Defender and all its features.
- Check the integrity of game files through the launcher. Please, click on the little arrow pointing downwards right of the ‘Online’ profile status and, in the menu that appears, click on ‘Integrity check’.
- Go to the Programs section of the Control Panel in Windows, search Escape from Tarkov, right click and press ‘Uninstall’. Then, please, download the game through your profile page and fresh install it.
- Set the swap file minimum and maximum valours to x1.5 the amount of RAM your PC has and always to a maximum of 30-50 GB. Please, make sure the swap file is only located in just one of your drives (SSD type). For further information, please consult the Microsoft tutorial.
- Disable any overclocking configured in your PC (CPU, GPU or RAM).
- Check that the XMP profile is configured correctly in the BIOS of your PC. Please, refer to the motherboard manufacturer manual for specific details on memory overclocking, as it may change from product to product.
- Do a clean installation of the latest version of your GPU drivers, delete the current versions using DDU software.
- Try a clean boot to discard that any other program is interfering with the game process.
If the issue persists, please create a ticket via the launcher and add log files. Also, please add crash logs placed at %LocalAppData%TempBattlestate GamesEscapeFromTarkovCrashes
THE PC IS HAVING A BSOD AND/OR REBOOTING ITSELF
Please, cautiously follow the next steps and check if the issue persists after each one of them:
- Remove any overclocking of your PC components.
- Update the drivers of all your PC components.
- Install all Windows updates available in Update Center.
- Update BIOS and motherboard drivers to the latest version.
- Clean your PC components from dust and dirt that can lead to overheating. Please, make sure that all PC components are not overheating.
- Check Windows Event Log in order to find any related issues in the OS. You can learn how to review those errors in the Microsoft tutorial along with its fixes. If you need assistance with the process, please contact a local IT. This information can also be useful for further troubleshooting with Microsoft support service.
- Check that your PSU is correctly running and there is not any connection problem in the cables.
- If you have recently installed any new component, please check if it is correctly installed or properly working, try using the previously installed one. Search for expert local IT assistance if it is needed for this operation.

Если всё было обновлено с официальных сайтов, всё сделано правильно (сложно испортить).
И это первый действенный способ, который мне помогал решать такие ошибки.

So this is by no means my first post about this, I have tried tirelessly on unity forums, tarkov forums and support as well as here now to get this sorted. When I boot up tarkov it quits me out usually straight away but sometimes in the initial loading screen with the man holding the AK rifle and I get unity error:
I have a long list of the steps I have done to try and resolve this issue I will attach my logs also at the bottom:
I have tried different driver versions.
I have tried «run as admin» on both launcher and game
I have tried «disable full screen optimisations»
I have tried reinstalling
I have tried verifying
I have tried deleting cache
I have tried logging out and back in on launcher
I have tried «running in compatibility mode»
I have whitelisted the games folders in antivirus and firewall and turned antivirus off
I am completely updated on drivers, windows updates, directx, c++ redistributables and whatever else id need to be.
troubleshooted components in my brothers computer
Used my brothers computer to file share over local network to download his files into my game directory (his copy is confirmed working)
turned off paging file
increase paging file to 9GB on 5 drives
Increased paging file to 32GB on all 5 drives
Increased paging file to 9GB and 32GB on just C drive
Dialed down ram from 3200mhz to 3000mhz
Dialed down ram from 3000mhz to 2133 mhz with default timings
Changed ram into other slots on pc and repeated the last 2 steps
fiddling with Nvidia performance settings
Installing game from a known working copy with USB stick
I just did 15 passes on memory checker (windows built in one) wich cache on on the extended version, and guess what, my ram isnt to fault

I cant revert any limits i dont even have a config yet bc i cant load in lol. I did decipher though after ages of trying that my cpu or motherboard isnt playing nicely with the game and hasnt with alot of others im on ryzen 5 2600x and b450m asrock so looking to upgrade to b550 and 3600 but its a bummer as the price of my chip even when i brought it last year has rised £40 and so has all the other chips

Hello. Try reinstalling the game and launcher, removing all associated files. You can also try to install the new OS on a separate partition and check on it. It seems to be a software problem.
Ive already tried this multiple times using uninstall.exes and even going into appdata folders as well as my documents to clear everything. Ive ordered new components for my pc now if only id waited 8 minutes aha just to be told its something that could be fixed by software.
Anyway thanks for the reply. Its actually installed on a fresh copy of windows. An i mean litterally brand new the day i brought tarkov, i have tried my NVME ssd with tarkov installed on my brothers computer (its my main c drive so windows carries across) and it worked, no partition changes or formats or anything litterally hotswap my drive to his pc, this would indicate to me it isnt a software issue could you confirm this?
I have now also just tried unplugging all my drives other than my main c drive thats got tarkov on and it still didnt work yet this worked in my brothers pc with my c drive. Its definetly not drivers or anything else software related i spent hours checking through, i suppose well see on the 2nd when my computer parts arrive
