Hi my ps4 is stuck in IDU MODE , Im in 4.05

and I activated the idu mode without knowing what it was and I was stuck, some way to activate the browser to load the exploit to disconnect the mode idu? , Thanks.

Recovered it by entering staff mode and replacing the help of the console with the exploit thanks to aibo19 of eol , thanks @PSXHAX for button combination

День добрый, столкнулся по глупости с проблемой, PS4 1.76 вывел в DEV MODE (DEBUG SETINGS) и запустил IDU режим, выйти не могу, замена харда, инициализация и обновление ПО не помогает, если есть мысли, прошу помочь…
на экране только надпись «provide unit with a valid network connection or insert idu update disc»

Зажимаеш R1+R2+L1+L2+option+up на 10 сек примерно, консоль перейдет в Staff Mode. Дальше кнопку PS и через меню снова запускаеш експолит и Debug Detting. Дальше Debug Detting — System — IDU Mode — Off. Кстати IDU режим зависает и не работает.

Ребята писали, что в IDU игры подтягивают обновления. Можно использовать чтобы докачивать апдейты на игры.

И я открыл порт на файл rif и установил его!!!!!
Таким образом, с помощью прокси можно перенаправлять запросы на файлы лицензии полноценных игр!!!
Нужно их найти, скачать! Пока попытки тчетны….

Ты думаешь, положил один rif с типом DRM-Free, он у тебя заработал — и все игрушки заработают?
Наивные вы.
Рифов для платных игр нет на сервере — они формируются в процессе покупки.

Если консоль активирована и игры куплены, с чего вдруг им «локаться»? А вот если игры установлены не через псн путём добавления rif в директорию «Бразильский метод» копирования содержимого жесткого диска с установленными играми и файлами лицензии в директории.

Суть может и другая, но речь идет о принципе активации лицензии.
Каждая игра активируется своим риф файлом, который лежит где-то, кто-то мне говорил где, но я забыл директорию так же, где-то читал, что сони измудрилась и решила подписывать риф для каждой игры и консоли, генерируется файл при покупке с присвоениеи ID консоли, но я в это не особо верю, а почему, а потому, что на своём опыте увидел как риф файл выложеный в открытом доступе (не генерированный) прилетел мне в консоль для активации приложения киоск.
Если не прав — прошу поправить!
Следовательно, повторяюсь, нам необходим доступ к корню, файловый менеджер или FTP, файлы риф.
Возможность установки PKG до 500мб у нас уже есть, можно протестировать на небольших приложениях и играх.
Также, проходила инфа о возможности клепания pkg файлов употребляемых пс4.

There has been some amount of confusion regarding how to do this, as well as what I consider undeserved FUD, so I decided to create a post with detailed instructions. Follow these directions carefully. As with all console hacking endeavours there is a possibility that things can go wrong and there are no guarantees implied or otherwise that you will not get banned or break something.

This short guide is adapted from the original Russian tutorial found Here. Also, thanks to u/kiru2488 who seems to be the first person to bring attention to it in the english speaking scene, and who I first heard of it through his post Here.

IDU mode WILL begin system updates WITHOUT WARNING or any prompts at all if the PS4 is connected to the internet. Disabling Internet capability is VITAL. Back-Up your user data, if you or anyone you know of loses saves while following this guide please contact me directly.

Preparation

You will more than likely lose your personal data and saves if you haven’t made a backup

Remove all USB devices from PS4.
Make sure you are able to run payloads via cache mode with network disabled (or use offline method).
Exit to the main menu and select «Profile» -> «Change User».
In the «Name» field, change the name of your user to «User1».

Entering IDU Mode

Power on the PS4. Go to «Settings» -> «Network» and make sure the «Connect to the Internet» is left unchecked.
Go to your browser (or user guide if applicable) and launch the «HEN» payload.
Go to «Settings» -> «Debug Settings» -> «System» -> «IDU mode», select «On»
Click «OK» to reboot.
Wait until you see «Provide unit with a valid network connection or insert IDU update disc» in the upper right of the screen
Turn controller back on and hold (R1) + (R2) + (L1) + (L2) + (Option) + (UP) until «Staff Mode» is enabled.

Enabling Remote Play

On your PS4, go to «Settings» -> «Remote Play Connection Settings» and check the box that says «Direct Connection to PS Vita / PS TV System».
Next while still in «Remote Play Connection Settings» choose «Add Device».
On the device you wish to use remote play on (Vita, PSTV, PC) start the Remote Play/PS4 Link application.
On the device (Vita, PSTV, PC) create a new (direct) connection to the PS4 and enter the pairing code on the device.

A new user will be created, «User2». Do not delete this user or you will also disable Remote Play for the other profiles.

Exit IDU Mode

Run «HEN» if «Debug Settings» is unavailable under system settings.
Go to «Settings» -> «Debug Settings» -> «System» -> «IDU mode» and choose «Off» to disable IDU mode.
Click «OK» to reboot.

Hey, I recently bought a PS4 off kijiji (not the brightest move) and I ended up buying Kiosk PS4. The system boots up asking for a valid internet connection or an IDU update disk.

Is it possible to convert the system into a retail unit? Safe mode is accessible, reinstalling the firmware is a possibility.

From what I gather, you can’t as it’s locked. I so wish I had one though, I tried getting one from Target when they were closing but the vendor for PlayStation came and picked it up, or else I could have gotten it for real cheap

Yeah, its definitely locked down. The most you can do is enter a «staff mode» if you enter a certain key combination. I’m curious about what type of disks is it looking for? Normal games and blurays wont function.
Also is any one interested in seeing any pictures of staff mode? I’ll post them here

Sell or Walmart swap

Yeah, I’m thinking of selling it to a flea market, there the only ones that will take it. Places like Walmart, EBgame etc wont because its tied to Sony. I had game stores tell me they would get in legal trouble if they tried reselling it.

Mind you I rather sell it to someone in the community though, its pretty interesting. I got some updates on it.

1. System ask for a valid network or IDU disk.I cant give it the disk but I can give it a network.
I connect an Ethernet cable to the ps4 directly to my router and it starts downloading.

2. It downloads a few things
THE PLAYROOM: Version 1.07
IV0001-NPXS29005
OMSK (thats what demo select application called, when you see a bunch of games to choose from)

3.Whens thats done, the PS4 restarts and boots into an kiosk mode you see in stores.

Then it stuck at «updating from server…»

4.Its looking for a server
I left it for a good 30mins like that and nothing happened, no progress at all.
Why? Its seem like the ps4 is looking for a server on my end hosted on the same network.
Two reasons. When I start the app it started sending packets to my PC (connected on same network) PC was in standby but Icon 4(PC) Icon 3(ps4) on my router both started blinking rapidity for a bit.

Also if you go to version history on the OSMK app it mentions something about admin screen?

That’s all I was able to get out of it. I am able to access the PS home menu but it is very limited.
Hopefully this post was able to give a bit of incite into the system. Theres not much info about the kiosk systems online.

So i had enable this on my own playstation 4 system, i got it out of this mode and here is how i did it.

This works on only 5.05 & 6.72 Firmware !

— Unplug All Network Wires & Disconnect Your WiFi If Its Connected To It
— Turn Your System On And Let It Boot
— Now Connect A Controller
— Hold Down R1 + R2 + L1 + L2 + D-Pad Up + Option (Hold It Till You See Stuff Mode)
— Now Download PS-Phwoar__v1.4 PC Version
— Unzip The Files And Run The Server
— On The PS4 Go Into Settings > Network > Setup Internet Connection
— Now Choose Manually And Choose Auto For Everything But Choose Custom On DNS
— Now For First DNS Enter Your PC IP Address That Is Running PS-Phwoar__v1.4
— Now Finish The Wizard
— Now Connect The LAN Wire And You Should Get Internet
— Now Go To Settings
— Click On Users Guide/Helpful Info
— This Will Load The Web Browser And Install PS-Phwoar__v1.4
— Once Its Done, Load The HEN Enabler
— Now Go Back To Settings
— Go To The Bottom Of List
— Find Debug Menu
— Now Click On System > IDU > Off
— Reboot PS4
— Now The System Is Running Out Of Demo Mode

How do I fix the system software update error on PS4?

1. Update your system software

Use Safe Mode

Power off your PS4 if it’s on.
Next, press and hold the power button until you’ve heard a couple of beeps.

Connect your DualShock 4 control pad to the PS4 with a USB cable.
Press the PS button on the DualShock 4.
Select Update System Software on the Safe Mode menu.
Select the Update using Internet option.

Open the PS4 System Software Update 7.51 page.
Click the Download PS4 update file link.
Make sure that the title for the PlayStation 4 update file is PS4UPDATE.PUP.
Plug in your USB stick into the PC.
Open the File Explorer window, and select the USB drive on the left of Explorer.
Click the New Folder button, and set PS4 as the folder title.
Create another new folder named UPDATE inside the PS4 folder.

Transfer the update package

Open the download folder that includes the PS4 update file.
Select the PS4 update file, and click the Move to button.
Select the Choose location option.
Then select to move the update file to the UPDATE folder on your USB stick.
Next, eject the USB stick from the PC. Insert the USB drive into your PlayStation 4.
Start the console in Safe Mode by holding its power button until it beeps twice.
Then connect the DualShock 4 controller to the console with its USB cable, and press its PS pairing button.
Select the Update System Software > Update from USB Storage Device options on the Safe Mode menu.
Select the OK option.
Select Next to continue, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete this process.

2. Restore the PS4 to its default settings

Start the PS4 in Safe Mode exactly as outlined for the first resolution.
Select the Restore Default Settings option on the Safe Mode menu instead.
Select the Yes option and press X to confirm.
Restart the PlayStation 4.

3. Use the Initialize PS4 option

Back up your saved PlayStation game data to a USB device or cloud storage.
Save the system software for PlayStation 4 to a USB drive as outlined for resolution two.
Insert the USB drive that includes the system software for the PS4 into the console.
Start the PlayStation 4 in Safe Mode as outlined for the fixes above.
Select the Initialize PS4 (Reinstall System Software) option on the Safe Mode menu.
