Let me say this first; I’m not incredibly smart when it comes to mods so be warned I might be kind of hard to communicate with but please bear with me.

So, I have the RaceMenu mod and the problem is, as soon as I log into game, I get the following message:

«RaceMenu Error(s): Invalid Chargen plugin version detected (4) expected (5). Invalid Chargen script version detected (2) expected (4). Error Codes: (8 )(10)»

Does anyone know what this is/what it means? I use LOOT and I’ve gone through to see if there’s anything dirty about RaceMenu. It says that the RaceMenuPlugin.esp is optional and if I seem to have errors to disable it. So, I deleted the file and I’m still getting the same exact message.

I’ve also scanned with TES5Edit to see if there’s a possible wrong load order. I use the «Lunari Race» mod and I was wondering if maybe that had anything to do with it. I’d appreciate the feedback because I don’t know what it is and if it’s doing something to my game.

Ever since I started getting that message, I started to CTD when I tried looting, going into inventory (whether my own or to buy/sell something), and when trying to get to my quest journal. I don’t know if that’s something else entirely or if it’s connected to this. Anyhow, I’d appreciate the help. Thank you.

(If it’s somehow important, I use some other mods to help out within the game that might be connected to the problem and they are;

  • RaceCompatibility with Fixes
  • ShowRaceMenu PreCacheKiller
  • Enhanced Character Edit
  • Extended Slider Colors)

  • RaceCompatibility with Fixes — this is fine keep it
  • ShowRaceMenu PreCacheKiller — unnecessary it’s included in racemenu
  • Enhanced Character Edit — also unnecessary it’s included in racemenu
  • Extended Slider Colors) — REALLY UNNECESSARY it’s an obsolete precursor to racemenu made by the same modder

As for the error — that means that you’ve got something overwriting the scripts that came with racemenu it’s not something you’ll be able to pinpoint with LOOT or TESEdit. To get rid of it you can completely uninstall Racemenu and it’s scripts then reinstall it and allow all of it’s files to overwrite anything it wants to (though this sometimes will not fix the problem) — or you can just ignore the warning. Iirc it’s possible to continue to use racemnu without correcting the problem and as the problem can be quite difficult to pinpoint and correct it’s often easier to ‘just live with it’ than it is to track down and eliminate.

I just got the same error right after i install The Coenaculi – Tattoo Parlor RaceMenu plugin   still don’t know how to fix it other than uninstall the mod.

Hi everybody ! I was searching a soluce to fix the same errors and i found this on the forum :

«Install first chargen extension then racemenu… i fix it now xd

But, i have too Enhanced Character Edit i think its the problem, wont this error but idk how fix it wuth ECE»

I do 2 things and it fix the problem (8):

1. Download Chargen Export even if it is wroten that the mod is included in racemenu 2.5 and greater.

2. Activate Chargen extension and then racemenu.

Now, the mod tells me that only the error 10 persists.

The latest version of RaceMenu 3.4.4 — includes chargen.dll and nioverride.dll (so you do not need to install seperate mods anymore).

I suspect that another mod (you have installed) has installed it’s own version of chargen.dll to the skse/plugins folder and chargen.pex to data/scripts.

All of the scripts are included in RaceMenu.bsa — having a left over loose chargen.pex file will cause Error Code 10. (just delete chargen.pex from the scripts folder)

and ensure that chargen.dll is only installed by RaceMenu 3.4.4 (and has not been overwritten by another mod).

I had a similar issue except none of the above fixed it. Whenever I start a new game [trying to fix issue] I am spinning on the carriage, I’m not in the back where I should be and I hear horse grunts before the picture comes into focus.

When loading any save I get «Racemenu error(s): Invalid Nioverride plugin detected (2) expected (6). Error codes: (7)

I have made sure I have the newest version of new immerse override and have reinstalled it twice.

From what I’ve read about Racemenu Mod the Nioverride Plugin is build into the mod, if your getting errors it means there is either a newer version of the mod or else the mod wasn’t activated. Another thing to check is SKSE as this plugin installs to the SKSE Folder in your data directory.

The only time you’d install Nioverride plugin on it’s own is if you use ECE or another mod that requires it.

You have overwrite Racemenu Niooveride files whit some old mod. Since latest Racemenu NioOverride is whit in Racemenu, you need to find the mod that uses old NioOverride files.

do you have SKSE install correctly, Racemenu uses it.

part of skse gets installed directly into the skyrim folder and a folder named SKSE is installed into the Data folder for Plugins for some reason if this folder wasn’t added or installed from the install package Racemenu mod may not find the plugin.

at this point i would suggest disabling Racemenu , then get in game and see if you can call up the Console Command showracemenu , if this works and game doesn’t CTD i would probably look to SKSE being install incorrectly or needing the most latest version 1.7.3 for skse and 3.4.5 for Racemenu just to be safe.

i’ve been using Racemenu for a long time and never seen the error you discribed. (though i’ve had CTD’s a time or two.)

Without CharGen Extension compatible TRI files (CharGen Morphs) you will only see an empty EXTRA category, this is normal until you install compatible TRI files. This can also mean that custom races with custom TRI files will not have options available unless they also have compatible TRI files. Currently Nuska’s morph set only includes human females but I’ve been told a male version is in the works.

More morphs CAN be added, but I am not an artist, nor have much experience working with the TRI files themselves, I have merely provided an API for easily adding new morphs.

To extend the Facial Morphs available when designing your characters face and also act as a simple API for modders to easily add their own custom morphs. The new morphs are inserted dynamically into the RaceMenu via a new custom category (this includes the vanilla RaceMenu).

The optional CharGen Morphs are not compatible with ECE or Better FaceGen.

  • Create SKSE folder if it is not already there

The export head feature is mainly used for copying custom head geometry onto a custom NPC. DO NOT USE DIRECTLY. You can use NifSkope to copy the TriShapeData from the exported head onto an NPC, this will allow you to apply the custom morphs to a custom NPC as the resulting head will be post morph. You will need to add a few definitions to your nif.xml to open the exported head:

Modding the TRI files has not gotten anymore complicated, only setting them up may look slightly intimidating.

All sliders are now modular and can be installed via a plugin.
Presets are now supported.
Re-using vanilla morphs is now supported. (You can re-use vanilla morphs to exceed standard ranges)
Alternate morph files can be loaded per existing file.

The custom head part API will be delayed until the next version, this took priority.

Installing additional TRI files is very similar to ECE, the difference is that there is no longer one global file, each mod can have its own additional TRI file:
e.g.

DatameshesmorphsCharGen ECE Morphs.espsliders.ini
DatameshesmorphsCharGen ECE Morphs.espslidershuman.ini

Assuming your custom Race does not use custom TRI paths you can easily support your race for the currently installed morphs by adding it to the list of sliders.ini and you won’t need anything else.

If your custom Race does use custom TRI paths, you would make a morphs.ini file that has the source path to your morphs as the first entry, and whichever morph files you wish to support after that.

Please note that when adding source TRI files to morphs.ini, the file path is CASE-SENSITIVE, I haven’t fixed this yet but it should be fixed in the future.

The API offered by this mod requires knowledge of how to add morphs to the TRI files. Essentially the mod acts as a storage and processing level for new morphs. It essentially creates entirely new morph options, the options are not merged they are all kept separately.

In the TRI the morphs will look something like this:
Extra_0_0_JawUpper
Extra_0_1_JawUpper
Extra_1_0_JawLower
Extra_1_1_JawLower
Extra_2_0_ChinUpper
Extra_2_1_ChinUpper

The first number indicates the morph ID, this is relatively arbitrary as long as they are all numbered starting from zero and no two different morphs have the same number. The second number indicates whether it’s the lower bounds (0), or the upper bounds (1). The name is what the slider is supposed to be called, when it’s inserted into the RaceMenu it’s translatable name will be «$CharGen_NAME».

    Without CharGen Extension compatible TRI files (CharGen Morphs) you will only see an empty EXTRA category, this is normal until you install compatible TRI files. This can also mean that custom races with custom TRI files will not have options available unless they also have compatible TRI files. Currently Nuska’s morph set only includes human females but I’ve been told a male version is in the works.

    More morphs CAN be added, but I am not an artist, nor have much experience working with the TRI files themselves, I have merely provided an API for easily adding new morphs.

    To extend the Facial Morphs available when designing your characters face and also act as a simple API for modders to easily add their own custom morphs. The new morphs are inserted dynamically into the RaceMenu via a new custom category (this includes the vanilla RaceMenu).

    The optional CharGen Morphs are not compatible with ECE or Better FaceGen.

    The export head feature is mainly used for copying custom head geometry onto a custom NPC. DO NOT USE DIRECTLY. You can use NifSkope to copy the TriShapeData from the exported head onto an NPC, this will allow you to apply the custom morphs to a custom NPC as the resulting head will be post morph. You will need to add a few definitions to your nif.xml to open the exported head:

    Modding the TRI files has not gotten anymore complicated, only setting them up may look slightly intimidating.

    All sliders are now modular and can be installed via a plugin.
    Presets are now supported.
    Re-using vanilla morphs is now supported. (You can re-use vanilla morphs to exceed standard ranges)
    Alternate morph files can be loaded per existing file.

    The custom head part API will be delayed until the next version, this took priority.

    Installing additional TRI files is very similar to ECE, the difference is that there is no longer one global file, each mod can have its own additional TRI file:

    Assuming your custom Race does not use custom TRI paths you can easily support your race for the currently installed morphs by adding it to the list of sliders.ini and you won’t need anything else.

    If your custom Race does use custom TRI paths, you would make a morphs.ini file that has the source path to your morphs as the first entry, and whichever morph files you wish to support after that.

    Please note that when adding source TRI files to morphs.ini, the file path is CASE-SENSITIVE, I haven’t fixed this yet but it should be fixed in the future.

    The API offered by this mod requires knowledge of how to add morphs to the TRI files. Essentially the mod acts as a storage and processing level for new morphs. It essentially creates entirely new morph options, the options are not merged they are all kept separately.

    In the TRI the morphs will look something like this:

    The first number indicates the morph ID, this is relatively arbitrary as long as they are all numbered starting from zero and no two different morphs have the same number. The second number indicates whether it’s the lower bounds (0), or the upper bounds (1). The name is what the slider is supposed to be called, when it’s inserted into the RaceMenu it’s translatable name will be «$CharGen_NAME».

    Let me say this first; I’m not incredibly smart when it comes to mods so be warned I might be kind of hard to communicate with but please bear with me.

    So, I have the RaceMenu mod and the problem is, as soon as I log into game, I get the following message:

    «RaceMenu Error(s): Invalid Chargen plugin version detected (4) expected (5). Invalid Chargen script version detected (2) expected (4). Error Codes: (8 )(10)»

    Does anyone know what this is/what it means? I use LOOT and I’ve gone through to see if there’s anything dirty about RaceMenu. It says that the RaceMenuPlugin.esp is optional and if I seem to have errors to disable it. So, I deleted the file and I’m still getting the same exact message.

    I’ve also scanned with TES5Edit to see if there’s a possible wrong load order. I use the «Lunari Race» mod and I was wondering if maybe that had anything to do with it. I’d appreciate the feedback because I don’t know what it is and if it’s doing something to my game.

    Ever since I started getting that message, I started to CTD when I tried looting, going into inventory (whether my own or to buy/sell something), and when trying to get to my quest journal. I don’t know if that’s something else entirely or if it’s connected to this. Anyhow, I’d appreciate the help. Thank you.

    (If it’s somehow important, I use some other mods to help out within the game that might be connected to the problem and they are;

    RaceMenu является капремонтом меню создания и редактирования вашего персонажа для Skyrim SE-АЕ. Стандартное игровое меню создания вашего персонажа очень скудное и невзрачное, автор решил это исправить изменив визуальное оформление и добавив новые функции и кучу новых ползунков для настройки лица и тела.

    Функции:
    — Красивый, понятный и удобный вид меню для создания ГГ.

    Опция «Камера»

    — Есть также 2 варианта «Первичный» и «Вторичный», это расположение кнопок движения камеры, кому как удобно, при варианте «Вторичный», кнопку надо держать и потом уже дивгать камеру.

    Опция «Скульптор» (можно визуально изменять и настраивать лицевые формы).
    «Импорт головы» — Эта функция будет импортировать геометрию NIF File, которые сформированы для NPC (Вы либо экспортируете или копируете любого NPC в каталог/директорию)
    «Скульптор» — Эта функция сложная, инструменты которые имеются в вашем распоряжении это «Накачивание», «Выкачивание», «Сглаживание», «Движение» и «Маска»
    «Накачивание/Выкачивание» — С помощью этих опций вы можете перемещать мышкой лицевые точки/вершины, то есть в окошке вы можете изменять формы лица без ползунков, а движением мышки по лицу
    «Сглаживание» — С помощью этой опции вы можете перемещать мышкой лицевые точки/вершины к средним позициям всех смежных вершин, то есть делать выравнивание лицевых форм. ВНИМАНИЕ!!! Не используйте «сглаживание» вблизи отверстий, таких как рот
    «Двигать» — С помощью данной опции вы можете перемещать лицевые точки/вершины в направлении перемещения курсора, перпендикулярно к плоскости просмотра
    «Маска» — Эта опция исключает лицевые точки/вершины от изменений, в том числе импортированную геометрию, если вы импортируете голову с различимым шеиным швом, необходимо сначала замаскировать область шеи перед импортом, в общем данная опция «Маска» замазывает шейный шов
    «История» — История будет хранить все предыдущие действия совершенные при изменении лицевых точек/вершин, в том числе «Очистка скульптора», «Импорт геометрии» и все действия совершенные «Кисточкой» — «Накачивание» и «Выкачивание»
    «Части головы» — Это окошко для предварительного просмотра изменений каркаса, в том числе недоступные для изменений meshes (поэтому они не могут быть отредактированы), что делает meshes видимыми или изменяет цвет каркаса
    «Очистка скульптора» — Эта опция сотрет/удалит все скульптурные данные, которые вы производили при редактировании лица, из всех активных частей
    «Файл на основе пресетов» — Лицевые пресеты теперь можно сохранять с именами файлов в новый формат json ( .jslot файлы), если вы заменяете существующий файл слота, воздержитесь от замены .slot файла, нажмите на выбранный файл при сохранении, что приведет к перезаписи выбранного файла и расширение файла изменится и будет как бинарное(двойное), но в итоге будет пытаться загрузить .json и все выйдет из строя. Бинарные слот файлы все еще могут быть загружены для устаревших целей, однако этот формат больше не сохраняются в CharGen
    — Поддержки контроллера для новых функций скульптинга не будет поддерживаться, извините

    Как сделать тату в меню создания персонажа:
    — После того как вы войдёте в меню настройки персонажа через консоль shoracemenu в правой стороне окна с настройками будут 3 категории «Татуировка для тела», «Татуировка для рук», «Татуировка для ног». Категория «Татуировка для лица» отключена намеренно, читайте ниже что делать.
    — Сделайте прокрутку в окне «Татуировка для тела», «Татуировка для рук», «Татуировка для ног» вниз и не нажимая пункт «Default», внизу экрана появится новая опция «T-выбор текстуры», активируйте эту опцию и откроется новое окошко с выбором различных тату.
    — Выберите подходящий вариант тату и активируйте её, тату установится на выбранную часть тела.
    — После вы можете настроить цветовую гамму для выбранной тату.
    ВАЖНО!!!
    — Автор намеренно отключил категорию «Татуировка для лица», потому что это приводит к зависанию игры при обезглавливании, если ваш герой или NPC имеющие наложенное тату на лицо.
    — Чтобы включить категорию «Татуировка для лица», идем по пути Data/SKSE/plugins/skee64.ini
    — Откройте файл и ищите строчку
    bEnableFaceOverlays=0 и измените на 1 если у вас значение 0
    — А чтобы плюс ко всему увеличить количество накладываемых тату друг на друга, в этом же файле skee64.ini ищем строчку
    iNumOverlays=6 ; Default[6] и меняем на
    iNumOverlays=20 ; Default[6]
    — значение 20 это максимально возможное значение накладываемых тату друг на друга.
    — Ну и вам понадобится мод, который делает игрока невосприимчивым к обезглавливанию (или отключает обезглавливание полностью, если вы используете тату на лице для NPC), например как мод VioLens — A Killmove Mod.

    BodyMorph:
    — BodyMorph это API, Вам необходимо иметь поддерживаемые тела. По сути, это BodySlide в игре, работает на игроке, а также на NPC и каждый потенциально может иметь различные тела. Новейшая версия BodySlide можете экспортировать эти файлы. Вы не увидите ничего в RaceMenu и эту функцию, но скорее всего она будет использована другими модами в будущем.

    Equippable Transforms: Данный функционал пока не работает
    — Это дополнительные внутренние данные (не опции), которые могут быть привязаны к броне, которые будут применяться в NiTransform к скелету и для замены High Heels (высокий каблук).

    Как войти в меню создания персонажа:
    В консоли наберите showracemenu (делайте это в каком нибудь помещении) или с помощью мода «Альтернативный showracemenu» (очень рекомендуется!!!)

    При обновлении от неофициальной версии 1.0 до 0.4.16 и выше:
    * Нужно удалить полностью все файлы, если у вас установлена самая первая неофициальная версия, скачать архив, посмотреть что в архиве и точно такие же файлы удалить из игры. На данный момент неофициальная версия RaceMenu 1.0 неактуальна.

    Установка:(можно через менеджеры модов или вручную)
    * Так как автор против размещения мода на любых других сайтах кроме Нексуса, поэтому:
    1. Скачать архив мода RaceMenu Special Edition v0.4.15 или 16 для Skyrim SE 1.5.97.0.8
    2. Скачать архив мода RaceMenu Special Edition v0.4.19.12 или 13-14 для Skyrim АE 1.6.353.0.8 — 1.6.640.0.8 — 1.6.659.0.8(GOG)
    3. Берем все содержимое из архива и помещаем внутрь папки Data в игре.
    4. Активировать 2 файла RaceMenu.esp и RaceMenuPlugin.esp (необязательный файл, но может потребоваться для других модов)
    5. ВНИМАНИЕ!!! У автора изначально мод весь переведен на разные языки, в том числе и на русский, но в русской локализации от автора многие опции слайдеров и настроек просто некорректно переведены, а некоторые вообще не переведены, поэтому (по желанию) можете скачать у нас на сайте по доп.ссылке исправленный и подкорректированный перевод, взять папку interface и поместить в папку Data в игре.
