“Remote controller connection error” has been an issue on DJI drones and it has been causing a lot of frustration, nonetheless, DJI doesn’t seem to come up with a solution.

And this error is not something you can ignore or say I will come back to it later because it can be very dangerous. if the RC loses connection with the aircraft while up in the sky the drone can fall down like a brick and can cause a lot of trouble! including property damage and/or cause harm to people.

I had this problem on my Mavic Air, I ignored it and started flying, few minutes into flying it completely lost the connection and started to go wild luckily the drone was few metes away from me so I managed to catch it.

After contacting DJI support, hours of frustration, and trying different things, I fixed it and saved myself hundreds of dollars, and so I thought I could do the same for others.

So in my case, it was the USB cable that connects my RC to my phone that was causing the problem.

Now I don’t know how the connection between the phone and the controller affects the connection between the drone and the controller but apparently, it does.

So anyways I changed the cable and everything went fine, so before you try anything I want you to change the USB cable and try it.

If not keep reading.

And one peculiar thing is iOS users don’t seem to have this problem, at least not one I heard of.

If you have ios and you are having this error it is most likely a software issue instead of hardware I will come to that in a second

So, this error can be caused by both software and hardware issues, and let me start with the hardware problems-

1. Change the usb cable

A faulty cable is what is causing the problem in 2 out of 3 people I would guess.

Changing it is what helped me fix the problem, even though I still don’t understand how the connection between my phone and controller affects my drone signal.

The cable I am talking about is the cable that connects your drone with your RC.

You can buy an original replacement cable from DJI or from amazon.

2. Clean phone USB port

Clean the USB port of your phone, dirt builds up and can also cause a bad connection.

To clean the USB port I like to sweep a toothpick inside of the port to loosen up any dust, then give the phone a shake to make it fall out. Take your time and be as gentle as possible – you don’t want to damage the port.

3. Use the usb port on the bottom of the controller

Instead of using the USB port on the side of the controller use the one of the bottom.

The Port you are using might be damaged so try using the alternative port on the controller and see if that fix the problem

4. Clear cache

For the software issues let us start with the simple things such as clearing the cache.

To clear cache go to DJI Go 4 app, click on the settings three dots, under “General Settings” you can see the video cache settings. You can select to “Clear Video Cache” here and free up a lot more space on your device.

5. Update/Refresh firmware

Running an earlier version firmware can cause software issues so make sure your firmware is up to date, and even if it is up to date try refreshing it in DJI assistant.

1. Power on the drone
2. Connect it to your computer using the USB cable
3. Open the DJI Assistant 2 software on your laptop
4. Log in to the DJI Assistant 2 app and select your drone
5. Next, you will see the firmware version
6. Tap update and choose the latest version
7. If it is already the latest version click refresh or click on “Start Update”
8. Then restart the drone and check if it is okay

6. Use ios

For some reason, this issue is far more common on android than ios and so if you have an iPhone or and iPad you can try using it instead

7. Factory reset your drone and controller

If none of the methods above work for you you can try factory resetting your drone in DJI assistant

1. First, Install the DJI Assistant 2 Program on your device, make sure you download the proper one.
2. Connect your drone to your laptop using the USB cable provided, and wait for the software till it detects your drone
3. You’ll be able to see your drone on the Connected Devices screen. Select your drone and then click on confirm.
4. Click on Firmware Update. After that, you’ll be able to see the “Restore factory defaults” button.
5. Click on the factory reset button and then confirm when you are asked to confirm the reset. A progress bar will pop up showing the progress of the reset. You’ll be notified when the reset is complete.

Note: After a factory reset you have to calibrate everything again.

You can also hard reset the controller

To reset the RC: Turn on the controller, the aircraft should be off. * Press C1, C2, and shutter (top right button nearest antenna) on the controller and hold for about 2 seconds or so until it beeps, then turn the controller off.”

Final choice

If none of the methods fix it it is most likely a hardware problem and you need to send it to a professional

If your drone is within a year period from activation or if you have DJI care there is a good chance you can get it fixed without any cost.

If not you might have to pay from fifty dollars up to hundreds of dollars depending on the situation

After you hand it to DJI it can take up to 15 days till they fix it and send it back to you, and it can take longer if you don’t live in the united states

If you are located in Armenia, you may contact the local dealer or DJI’s support via email to start a case and send the unit back.

Ну если картинки про то, что мне надо лучше думать перед тем как задавать идиотские вопросы уважаемым людям, и опусы про то, что я лезу летать под мнимые глушилки (под которыми все латают) по причине своей половой принадлежности, все это — исключительно для моего развития, то тогда да. Я верю, что в глубине души вы мне желаете только добра. Где-то очень глубоко.

Лучше покажите кадры, как в какую-то пещеру залетаете !

У меня не вставляются сюда фото с Яндекс.Диска. Да и к теме обсуждения это никак не относится.

Телефон отвалился от пульта гораздо позже пещеры и это событие никак не отобразилось в аирдата.

Единственное что мне понято — надо пробовать разные комбинации проводов и телефонов/планшетов. Я думаю, тему можно закрывать.

И не вставятся. Сначала скиньте с облака на комп и только потом сюда. Ещё посмотрите в кэше смарта, если стоит опция.

Несколько причин — от неподходящего смарта (посмотрите хотя бы рекомендованные на сайте) и забитой памяти до шнурка и внешних помех.

Я верю, что в глубине души вы мне желаете только добра. Где-то очень глубоко..

Mavic 2 pro — Remote controller connection error

Коптер Mavic 2 pro. Нерегулярно (не заметил какой-то закономерности) появляется ошибка Remote controller connection error. Экран уходит в черно-белый, коптер начинает возврат домой, но на малом экранчике пульта все данные показываются верно. Если выключить и включить пульт, то все восстанавливается, но через минуту может снова возникнуть эта ошибка.

Так и не понял, как решить проблему. Причем сперва она была на mavic 2 zoom, потом купил mavic 2 pro (пульт тоже новый), через несколько месяцев использования эта проблема появилась и на нем. Переменял штуки 4 кабелей, в том числе с износоустойчивой оплеткой, использовал и большой usb разъем на пульте, и тот, который по умолчанию — сбоку.

Есть ощущение, что новый кабель на какое-то время помогает, но потом снова возникает эта ошибка. Однако каждый кабель прекрасно без сбоев заряжает телефон от сети, то есть кабель скорее всего рабочий.

Ошибка возникает рандомно в разных локациях — и где помехи есть, и где их вроде как нет — в полях, природе.

Последние стандартные прошивки и версия dji go 4. Какого-то еще стороннего софта не установлено.

Смартфон — старый samsung galaxy note 4, но думаю, дело все же не в нем. У него нет таких рандомных отключений, когда, например, его заряжаешь.

Не подскажете, в чем может быть дело?

Ошибка Remote controller connection error — Ошибка подключения пульта дистанционного управления..

Если вы пульты меняли, кабели меняли, дроны (!) меняли, разъемы разные пробовали, то сам Бог велел попробовать другой смарт, ибо он единственное неизменное звено.

коптер начинает возврат домой, но на малом экранчике пульта все данные показываются верно.

Что-то не так. Если на дисплее пульта все нормально, то возврат домой не активируется. То, что вы описываете, это потеря связи с пультом. Собственно и ошибка об этом.

На мой взгляд, у вас проблемы и между дроном и пультом и между пультом и смартом.

бывало такое раз несколько..

Первый раз немного паники потому, что дрон был далече и низко рядом с деревьями, не видно куда лететь.. бросил управление, занялся шнукром, пара перетыков не спасло, плюнул и включил возврат.. пока он возвращался, разобрался со шнурком — контакт в пульте хреновенький.. поджал зубами коннектор на шнурке и все заработало.. отправил назад работать — солнце еще высоко, нехрен прохолждаться.. В другие разы просто перетыкивал шнурок и перезапускал приложение — 20 сек роли не играют..

Есть понимание причин, но однозначного ответа нет до сих пор. Потеплеет, продолжу.

То есть проблема окончательно не решена до сих пор? И в любом полете можно ждать подвоха?

С утратой дрона на расстоянии около 10 км

А кнопка RTH может в случае такой ошибки помочь? У меня дрон всегда был в прямой видимости и я его возвращала тупо руками.

Предположу, что в данном конкретном случае логи ничего не дадут

Меня еще вот что смущает. DJI GO 4 показывает, что пульт от дрона отвалился и надо его привязать заново. Но как такое может быть, если дрон полностью управляем с пульта?

И еще перед тем как на телефоне наступает тайна черного экрана, вырубаются все системы обзора (судя по иконке на экране). Все красное становится как в спорт-режиме.

что-то мне подсказывает , что дело в дроне или пульте — вы , я так понял взяли бу дрон.. Обратитесь к Poster1 — у них качественная мастерская, проверят оба девайса.

Cheslav1968 , посмотрела ваш ролик на ютубе про потерю дрона.

Вы там говорите, что если смартфон от пульта отвалился, то лог не записывается. Я правильно поняла? Я пока не понимаю, что такое логи, я думала они записываются в дрон (как у самолета в черный ящик), а не в смартфон.

Я в приложении GO4 нашла запись проблемного полета (это не сам лог, я не знаю как ее правильно назвать). Там нет никаких ошибок. Время окончания записи соответствует времени выключения дрона. Запись выглядит так, как будто я просто посадила дрон (так оно и было). Но никаких следов того, что я делала это уже с отвалившимся смартфоном.

Есть же счастливые люди, которые «купил-нажал-полетел». Весь Крым ими забит и никакие логи и прочие аирдаты им не нужны.

А что с Ассистента никакие данные о полете нельзя списать?

Вот, кажись, получилось. крайний полет, который закончился Remote controller connection error.

Я лично ничего криминального здесь не вижу. Только мне теперь одно не понятно: здесь телеметрия со всего полета или она оборвана в том месте когда телефон отвалился? Данный файл с телефона.

С «черного ящика» дрона есть файл в формате DAT, может в нем больше информации. Только я пока не разобралась как его открыть.

Баааа! Это же Крым ! Рядом с Симферополем ! А в паре км к северу местный аэродром ! А ещё чуть севернее — военный ! И местность равнинная. И спутники у неё начали отваливаться ! Дважды, причём ! И ошибки контроллера. А глушилочка-то работает. И высота домой всего-то 20 м, деревья кругом. И взлетаем, не дождавшись набора спутников.

Короче, в этот раз повезло. В следующий раз прямо на аэродром езжайте ! Там ваш «бумеранг» будет покруче смотреться )

А так-то конечно, ничего криминального. Женщинам простительно

А в паре км к северу местный аэродром ! А ещё чуть севернее — военный ! И местность равнинная..

И что? Во-первых, не в паре километров. Во-вторых, я летаю под Чатыр-Дагом без проблем, там вообще военный полигон рядом и вышка сотовой связи в прямой видимости. Народ летает под Севасом параллельно с военными учениями.

И спутники у неё начали отваливаться !

Опускала дрон в расщелину, сквозная дыра в каменном навесе. Да, спутники отваливаются при таких упражнениях, но связь с пультом остается хорошая, так как пульт прямо над дырой.

Не работает. При мне в этот день там народ летал без проблем. Штук 8 дроноводов и никаких проблем с глушилками в этом месте.

И высота домой всего-то 20 м, деревья кругом.

Тестила работу кнопки в поле без деревьев. При полетах этой кнопкой не пользуюсь — в Крыму это противопоказано.

И взлетаем, не дождавшись набора спутников.

Дождавшись, 14 спутников — это нормально

Спасибо, что не судите строго. Но лучше бы что-нибудь сказали по существу поднятого мной вопроса.

1. Чатыр Даг и весь ваш рассказ — это совсем в другом месте. Я оценивал выложенный лог под Симферополем. Внезапный отвал спутников и отвал контроллера вблизи а/п, — первый признак наличия глушилки. Разве что запах духов не нравится ) Тогда меняйте !

2. Возврат домой с использованием «кнопки» — это одно. Возврат домой независимо от вас при определённых обстоятельствах — другое.

3. Взлетали при 14 спутниках ? Ну-ну. Посмотрите. Заодно и цвет помады на фотке поглядите. Вы красный предпочитаете ? )

These days, I found that most DJI Mavic Air pilots face issues that DJI Mavic air won’t connect to the controller. I found that most pilots who just bought the Mavic air face this issue. So I wondered why it’s happening to most pilots and I did some research on the internet and talked with some experienced pilots and brought them all to this post. 

As I found out, It’s a very common issue and easy to fix. So in this post let’s talk all about why DJI Mavic air does not connect to the controller and how to fix them. Hope this post will help you to fix your issue.

Why DJI Mavic Air won’t connect to the controller

In most cases, DJI Mavic Air won’t connect to the controller because of linking glitches that happened in the linking stage. Also, outdated firmware or glitches in firmware updates, or having different firmware on the drone and controller would cause this issue.

Reasons why DJI Mavic Air won’t connect to the controller

Reason 1: Low battery

Sufficient battery power is most important to be able to send and receive radio signals successfully and it’s important to save your Mavic Air from unexpected crashes. That’s why DJI GO 4 pops the warning to land your drone immediately once it’s got down to 20% of the battery charge.

Reason 2: Remote controller was not properly linked to the aircraft.

If your Mavic Air aircraft indicator LEDs flash yellow, that means the aircraft is not linked to the remote controller and needs to be linked before connecting. Usually, when you buy the Mavic Air, they are already paired but in some cases, the controller may haven’t paired properly. If you’ve replaced your Mavic Air or the controller and face this issue now, I can guarantee that this is the main reason why your Mavic Air is not connecting to the controller.

Reason 3: Inconsistent Firmware or Firmware glitches

DJI often releases firmware updates to avoid possible errors and unlock the latest features. When I research on the internet, pilots also face this issue after updating their firmware and not updating firmware. Also If you have different firmware in your Mavic Air aircraft and the remote controller, they won’t connect together.

How to fix DJI Mavic Air won’t connect the controller issue.

Step 1: Check your Mavic Air drone and controller battery level

This fix is the easiest to solve. So before trying any fixes that are too drastic, try this first. Try making sure that your drone is fully charged, and it’s worth checking the battery charge level after it’s charged. Make sure it’s at least above 50%.

Step 2: Update DJI Mavic Air aircraft and remote controller firmware to the same version.

• Download and install the DJI Assistant 2 application to the PC.
• Open DJI Assistant 2 application.
• Then connect the DJI Mavic Air aircraft to the PC using the USB cable and power it on.
• Then click on the DJI Mavic Air box that popped on the screen.

• Enter your DJI account connected to the DJI Mavic Air information and log in to the account.
• Then in the “Firmware Update” panel

• Click on the “Upgrade” or “Refresh” button in front of the latest firmware. Or if you decide to downgrade to a recent firmware click on the “Downgrade” button in front of the recent firmware
• Then click “Start Update”.

• Wait until the firmware is completely downloaded and installed.

• Once the aircraft is updated, unplug from the PC and restart the aircraft.
• Next power on the remote controller and connect it to the PC.

• Select “RC for Mavic Air”.

• Then click on the update/downgrade button in front of the firmware that the aircraft updated to.

• Then click “Start Update”.

• Wait until the firmware is completely downloaded and installed.

• Once the remote controller is updated, unplug it from the PC and restart it.

Step 3: Link the Mavic Air aircraft to the remote controller.

• Launch DJI GO 4 app and tap on “Enter device”.

• Then tap “Enter camera view”.

• Tap on the three dots at the right top corner and open the menu.

• Click on the RC icon and scroll down and tap “Linking Remote Controller”.

• Then hit “OK. The remote controller would start beeping.

• Press and hold the Mavic Air function button for about three seconds and release it once you heard the beep.

• Once the beeping stop and the status indicators blink green, the linking process is done and the Mavic air aircraft would connect to the controller.

Cables causing mavic pro disconnected issue

Check the micro USB cable going from your smartphone or tablet to the RC. The cable could have come loose at either end. Also try a replacement micro USB cable as they can break or become frayed over time. They can even be faulty from the factory.

Calibrate the mavic compass / imu to fix disconnected issue

Now, you would be thinking, why would calibrating the Mavic Pro Compass help fix Mavic Pro disconnects.  It must be remembered that if the compass is not aligned, then your quadcopter will be flying erratically and sending back incorrect information to the flight controller and remote controller.  So it is important that all aspects of your Mavic is functioning correctly which will reduce the chances of disconnects.

You can find a terrific instructional video to calibrate the Mavic Pro compass here.  It’s very easy to do and it will help the Mavic Pro and perhaps fix the disconnect problems.

Here are instructions to calibrate Mavic 2 the IMU, which includes the compass calibration.

Damaged ports causing mavic pro disconnects

When plugging in and out cables over time, it is possible for the port to become damaged over time.  It could be either the smartphone port or on the remote controller.  So if you are having disconnects using a smartphone like a Samsung, then flying using a tablet which uses a different port and cable.  Or vice versa.

Dji go 4 cache causing disconnects

Cache files can fill up and even become corrupt. There are 2 places where you can clear the cache, which can stop the Mavic disconnecting from the DJI Go 4 app.

Video Cache – In the DJI Go 4 app, go into the General settings (3 dots in top right of the screen). Scroll down and tap on “Clear Video Cache”. Click OK.

Storage Cache – On your Smartphone, go into the phone settings, click on Apps, look for the DJI Go 4 app and open it up.  Click on “Storage”. Next, tap on the “Clear Cache”.

Dji go 4 disconnects while flying using wifi

If you are flying using the DJI Go 4 app and not using the RC, then when app disconnects you won’t be able to fly the quadcopter.  By default the Mavic Pro will initialize the failsafe Return-To-Home after 20 seconds.

Again, if the Mavic Pro is a good distance out, you may be able to take some action to reconnect while it is in RTH mode.  You could try the following;

• Try moving closer in the direction the Mavic is
• Close out of the DJI Go 4 app and go back in
• Stop and start the Wi-Fi on your Smartphone

Dji go 4 or fly app video disconnects when flying

If the remote controller is still connected and it is just the DJI Go 4 or Fly app which has lost signal, then do the following;

Check Cables – from your RC to the smartphone or tablet.  It may be loose or have fallen out.

Re-open DJI app –  Take your hands off the sticks and let the Mavic hover.  Close out of the DJI Go 4 / Fly app and then go back into it.  There is a good chance that the app will reconnect again.

DJI Goggles – If you lose video signal to the DJI Go 4 app and the RC is still connected, then if you put on your DJI Goggles, they will connect to the Mavic.  You will be able to see the same view as if the DJI Go 4 app was connected. Then fly back to the home point.

My DJI Goggles has come to my rescue a few times when I lost video the DJI Go 4 app. Flying using FPV goggles is a better flying experience than flying

Unfortunately, the DJI Goggle including Racing Edition are not compatible with the Mavic Mini and Mavic Air 2 quadcopters.

Having your Mavic disconnect from your remote controller or smartphone can be quite a shock especially the first time it happens.

If the Mavic just disconnects from the DJI Go 4 app but you can still fly using the RC, it isn’t as bad but you still need to know what you can do to get the video connecting again.

One of the most important items to remember when you take you Mavic out to fly is that the home point is updated when you first take off.  This is a good start and your Mavic Pro can return to the home point if it disconnects either from the RC or from the DJI Go 4 app in Wi-Fi mode.

The Mavic series are terrific quadcopters and it is essential that it is working correctly for safety reasons and also to make sure it doesn’t crash. Flying should be fun and it certainly is with the Mavic quadcopters.

Firmware update fixes mavic disconnect issues

DJI have release firmware updates for the Mavic Pro and their other quadcopters, gimbals and cameras on a regular basis.  If you are having disconnects, then it is always recommended to update the Mavic Pro firmware.  If you are troubleshooting Mavic 2 Pro or Zoom disconnect issues, then here is the instructions to update the Mavic 2 firmware.

If you read down through the Mavic Pro firmware update release notes, you can see where certain updates fixed issues which could have been causing the Mavic Pro disconnects.

Some pilots never update the firmware on their quadcopter.  However it is essential to update the firmware as it contains fixes for most issues. Firmware updates will also add new features to the quadcopter.

Here are some of the bugs and issues fixed by the DJI Mavic Pro firmware updates which could fix disconnect issues.

• Fixed an occasional issue where the camera would restart automatically during recording. This particular bug would cause a loss of video signal to you on the ground. This camera disconnect issue was fixed in the Mavic firmware update v01.03.1000.
• Optimized the video transmission by reducing the transmission signal loss ratio. This Mavic video transmission issue was fixed in update v01.03.0400.
• Improved the speed at the which the HD video link connection can be regained after disruption. This was fixed in Mavic firmware version v01.03.0000.
• Improved magnetic detection for the Mavic remote controller.  This was fixed in Mavic update in version v01.03.0000.

Have you logged into dji go 4 app

One of the first and easiest items to check if whether you are logged into your DJI account in the Go 4 app.  If you are not logged in, then you will more than likely have a disconnected warning at the top of the Go 4 app from the very beginning.  Login and the quadcopter and Go 4 app connect.

How to fix mavic pro disconnect problems

The Mavic Pro disconnects can be caused by various sources from the quadcopter, remote controller, smartphone or tablet. So it could take a few of the below steps to fix the Mavic disconnect issues.

How to strengthen the transmitter signal to the mavic

If you are receiving a weak signal and disconnects at moderate to far out distances, then it could have something to do with the surroundings (trees, buildings etc) or with electromagnetic radiation (power lines, cellphone transmitters etc).

However, it could be an issue in the Mavic quadcopter or remote control. If you have tried everything in this article and the problem still exists but you don’t necessarily want to send your Mavic Quadcopter in for repair as the Mavic disconnects are only on long distance flights of say over half a mile, then the best option to strengthen the transmission signal is to add a Parabolic Radar Antenna Range Booster to the Mavic remote controller.

Mavic pro disconnects after firmware update

Now, if you have completed a firmware update of the quadcopter and the Mavic starts disconnecting, then obviously try all the above.  If this does not resolve the issue, you can role back to your earlier Mavic firmware version.  If it was a new firmware update which caused the Mavic Pro disconnects, then you need to downgrade to the previous earlier version.

On quite a few occasions, the Mavic disconnects are being caused by the smartphone or tablet, which has the DJI Go 4 app installed.  You should have your smartphone or tablet running optimally.

Check your remote controller.  Make sure that the ports and cables are clean.  It is easy to get carried away with flying and you may not be aware that you are holding the remote controller and antenna in the wrong direction.  Or not positioned to get the strongest transmission signal.

This is very important and especially if you are flying the Mavic Pro further out.

This is quite series.  As you don’t have any stick control or video then you can’t fly the Mavic even if you can see it.  Now the Mavic Pro should initiate the Failsafe Return-To-Home point mode which it had set just after take off.

If the Mavic quadcopter has flown a good distance away, then you may be able to help the RC to reconnect to the Mavic.  Here are some tips.

Move Towards The Mavic – If you know what direction the Mavic quadcopter is, then walk towards it. If you are close to a running motor, generator or power lines etc, this might have weakened the signal to cause the disconnect. So move in the direction of the Mavic and it just might reconnect.

Check Remote Controller Antenna Direction – Are the antenna facing in the correct direction. If the Mavic is pretty high in the air you will need to change the angle you are holding the Mavic so that the antenna are pointing directly towards the Mavic.

Switch Off and Back On The Remote – It’s worth trying as either way you have no connection to the Mavic. It only takes a few seconds.

Return To Home Failsafe Mode – If you are flying in a wide open space with no obstacles in the way, then let the RTH failsafe model bring the Mavic quadcopter back to it’s home point. It’s a great feature. Then do your checks and troubleshooting.

Micro sd card causing mavic disconnected problem

There has been a number of issue with the Mavic Pro disconnecting from the remote controller or DJI Go 4 app. It turned out that the micro SD card in the quadcopter was causing the Mavic Pro disconnects.  Most Mavic pilots will remove the SD Card from the Mavic and plug it into an SD card reader and copy across video etc. onto their computer.  However the card can become damaged physically or the file system can become corrupt on the card.

Perhaps the card has been used for something else and has other files and folders on it and when it is back in the Mavic, it causes an issue when you try to record to it. The SD card may still work but it is not perfect and is causing an interference when back in the Mavic.

Take out the micro SD card and try flying and see if you still get disconnects. If you don’t get a disconnect, do a full format of the SD card in a Windows computer.  If it is still causing disconnects after the format,  then replace the card with the DJI recommended SanDisk Extreme micro SD Card 64 GB.

Other mavic pro not connecting issues

There are other issues such as a particular phone, which will not connect to the Mavic Pro.  These are more specific to that owners phone rather than an overall issue.  Use the tips above to make sure that cables are correct and also that your smartphone is working optimally.

Weak signal causing mavic to disconnect

If you are flying a good distance out, then the signal is going to get weaker.  Now as the signal gets weaker, the chances of the Mavic Pro disconnecting either from the DJI Go 4 app or the remote controller becomes a real possibility.

Таким образом, причин быстрой потери связи квадрокоптера с пультом дистанционного управления достаточно много. Важно проверить их все. Возможно, проблема кроется в чем-то не значительном, а может быть устройство все-таки придется отнести в сервисный центр.

While this article focus is on Mavic Pro disconnects, these tips will also assist you with fixing Mavic 2 Pro, Mavic 2 Zoom, Mavic Air, Mavic Air 2 and Mavic Mini disconnected issues or not connecting in the first place.

These DJI Mavic disconnect issues and problems can happen at any time from your first flight to some months later.  Mavic disconnects can happen close to the home point or further out distances. It is a major cause of drone crashes.

If your Mavic disconnects while flying and it then reconnects, it is always best to fly the Mavic back in.  Then use the below checks and troubleshooting tips.

Use the below tips to fix Mavic Pro, Mavic 2 and Mavic Air disconnects whether it is a transmission disconnect to your DJI Go 4 or to the remote controller, where you have lost total control of you Mavic.

We will look at Mavic disconnected problems caused by cabling, port, smartphone and tablet issues, micro SD cards, firmware plus much more. You can also find what steps to take if you lose signal while flying the Mavic.

Having your Mavic disconnect from your remote controller or smartphone can be quite a shock especially the first time it happens.

If the Mavic just disconnects from the DJI Go 4 app but you can still fly using the RC, it isn’t as bad but you still need to know what you can do to get the video connecting again.

One of the most important items to remember when you take you Mavic out to fly is that the home point is updated when you first take off.  This is a good start and your Mavic Pro can return to the home point if it disconnects either from the RC or from the DJI Go 4 app in Wi-Fi mode.

Also, it is very important to stay calm and think when you have a disconnect. Give your application some time to see if it reconnects.  I have some tips near the bottom of this article on what steps to try whey the Mavic disconnects while in flight.

Cables Causing Mavic Pro Disconnected Issue

Check the micro USB cable going from your smartphone or tablet to the RC. The cable could have come loose at either end. Also try a replacement micro USB cable as they can break or become frayed over time. They can even be faulty from the factory.

Damaged Ports Causing Mavic Pro Disconnects

When plugging in and out cables over time, it is possible for the port to become damaged over time.  It could be either the smartphone port or on the remote controller.  So if you are having disconnects using a smartphone like a Samsung, then flying using a tablet which uses a different port and cable.  Or vice versa.

Micro SD Card Causing Mavic Disconnected Problem

Mavic Pro Not Connecting To App / App Causing Disconnects

On quite a few occasions, the Mavic disconnects are being caused by the smartphone or tablet, which has the DJI Go 4 app installed.  You should have your smartphone or tablet running optimally.

Some best practice regarding smartphones and tablets would be to greatly reduce notifications from the various other apps (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp etc) while flying.  Also, turn off app updates while flying. Next, remove unused apps as these use up both space, memory and processor.

There are programs such as APP Power Monitor which are great to get your smartphone or tablet running optimally.

If your smartphone is not running optimally, then opening the DJI Go 4 app with and recording while flying, might place a heavier load on the device processor or fill up it’s memory.  If the smartphone is running slow then it could easily drop the connection.

DJI Go 4 Cache Causing Disconnects

Cache files can fill up and even become corrupt. There are 2 places where you can clear the cache, which can stop the Mavic disconnecting from the DJI Go 4 app.

Video Cache – In the DJI Go 4 app, go into the General settings (3 dots in top right of the screen). Scroll down and tap on “Clear Video Cache”. Click OK.

Storage Cache – On your Smartphone, go into the phone settings, click on Apps, look for the DJI Go 4 app and open it up.  Click on “Storage”. Next, tap on the “Clear Cache”.

Mavic Pro Remote Controller Causing Connection Error

Check your remote controller.  Make sure that the ports and cables are clean.  It is easy to get carried away with flying and you may not be aware that you are holding the remote controller and antenna in the wrong direction.  Or not positioned to get the strongest transmission signal.  Make sure your are holding your Mavic Pro remote controller towards where the Mavic is.  Your Mavic remote control antenna should be in the pointing correctly as in the below image.

This is very important and especially if you are flying the Mavic Pro further out.

Calibrate the Mavic Compass / IMU To Fix Disconnected Issue

Now, you would be thinking, why would calibrating the Mavic Pro Compass help fix Mavic Pro disconnects.  It must be remembered that if the compass is not aligned, then your quadcopter will be flying erratically and sending back incorrect information to the flight controller and remote controller.  So it is important that all aspects of your Mavic is functioning correctly which will reduce the chances of disconnects.

To downgrade to the previous Mavic Pro firmware version, you need to use a PC or MAC along with the DJI Assistant 2 software.  When you have downgraded to the previous version, then see if the Mavic disconnect issue is fixed.  If it is, then it would be a good to contact DJI and let them know. What To Do When Mavic Disconnects During Flight 

DJI Go 4 or Fly App Video Disconnects When Flying

If the remote controller is still connected and it is just the DJI Go 4 or Fly app which has lost signal, then do the following;

Check Cables – from your RC to the smartphone or tablet.  It may be loose or have fallen out.

Re-open DJI app –  Take your hands off the sticks and let the Mavic hover.  Close out of the DJI Go 4 / Fly app and then go back into it.  There is a good chance that the app will reconnect again.

DJI Goggles – If you lose video signal to the DJI Go 4 app and the RC is still connected, then if you put on your DJI Goggles, they will connect to the Mavic.  You will be able to see the same view as if the DJI Go 4 app was connected. Then fly back to the home point.

My DJI Goggles has come to my rescue a few times when I lost video the DJI Go 4 app. Flying using FPV goggles is a better flying experience than flying

Unfortunately, the DJI Goggle including Racing Edition are not compatible with the Mavic Mini and Mavic Air 2 quadcopters.

DJI Go 4 Disconnects While Flying Using WiFi

If you are flying using the DJI Go 4 app and not using the RC, then when app disconnects you won’t be able to fly the quadcopter.  By default the Mavic Pro will initialize the failsafe Return-To-Home after 20 seconds.

Again, if the Mavic Pro is a good distance out, you may be able to take some action to reconnect while it is in RTH mode.  You could try the following;

• Try moving closer in the direction the Mavic is
• Close out of the DJI Go 4 app and go back in
• Stop and start the Wi-Fi on your Smartphone

Mavic Pro Remote Controller Disconnected When Flying

This is quite series.  As you don’t have any stick control or video then you can’t fly the Mavic even if you can see it.  Now the Mavic Pro should initiate the Failsafe Return-To-Home point mode which it had set just after take off.

If the Mavic quadcopter has flown a good distance away, then you may be able to help the RC to reconnect to the Mavic.  Here are some tips.

You may find that from time to time you have an issue with your remote controller syncing with your DJI Mavic Pro.
When you receive your Drone it should already be synced with the controller, but when you replace any part of it and you send the drone to the Dji company to replace the part, your drone should be reconnected and resyncronisation with the IR remote Control!

In this tutorial, im shows you how to successfully link the DJI Mavic Pro Controller with the Mavic aircraft.

The main symptom of an unlinked remote controller or mobile device is the flashing yellow light at the back of the craft. as you see in this image :

What should I do before attempting to link the remote control to the aircraft?

1. Ensure that all your devices are fully charged.
2. Release the small flap on top of the Mavic’s remote controller and ensure that the mode is set to RC, not WiFi.
3.  Ensure your mobile device is fully charged.

Follow the instructions below to link the controller and the aircraft:

1. Connect the remote controller, and the mobile device you’re using, with an appropriate USB cable.2. Turn on your Remote Control and Aircraft.

3. Launch the DJI Go app on your mobile device.

Press the blue ‘Camera’ button.
4.Select the three dots at the top right-hand corner of the screen to open the settings menu.

5.Then select the small blue remote control icon on the left-hand side of the menu.

6.Now select the ‘Linking Remote Controller’ option within the settings menu.

7.Select whether this is a Master or Slave controller (usually Master) and press OK.

8.You will now see a ‘Searching for Aircraft Frequency’ prompt appear on the screen.

9. Now with a small tool, press the link button on the side of the Mavic, just underneath the flap and above the red LED.

10.Wait up to 60 seconds until a prompt is shown in the DJI GO app that confirms ‘Remote Controller Linked’.

That’s all there is to it!

Your Mavic Pro is now linked with your Mavic Remote Control.
