How can I fix the INVALID FLOATING POINT STATE error?

1. Update Windows 10

Windows updates are important for your system stability and safety. Therefore, we strongly advise you to download the latest patches by using Windows Update.

New patches are released frequently. Many of them offer security improvements, new features, and various bug fixes related to both hardware and software. Therefore, be sure that you download them.

2. Download the latest drivers

1. Press Windows Key + X to open Power User Menu, and Select Device Manager from the list.
   
2. When Device Manager opens, locate the driver that you wish to update, right-click it and select Update Driver Software.
   
3. Select Search automatically for updated driver software and let Windows 10 download and install the new driver.
   
4. Repeat these steps for all drivers that you want to update.

Windows 10 requires drivers in order to work with your hardware. If your drivers are outdated or not compatible with Windows 10, you’ll encounter a Blue Screen of Death error such as INVALID FLOATING POINT STATE.

To fix this any many other BSoD errors, it’s important that you update your drivers.

You can do that simply by visiting your hardware manufacturer’s website and downloading the latest drivers for your device. Bear in mind that you might have to update all drivers on your PC to fix this problem.

You can also use Device Manager to update your drivers, but we have to mention that Device Manager doesn’t always download the latest drivers.

Another thing we can try is running Windows 10’s built-in troubleshooting tool. This is designed to deal with various system issues, including BSODs.

So, it might be helpful in this case, as well.

4. Run the SFC scan

1. Right-click on the Start Menu button, and open Command Prompt (Admin).
2. Enter the following line and press Enter: sfc/scannow
3. Wait until the process is done (it may take a while).
4. If the solution is found, it will automatically be applied.
5. Now, close the Command Prompt and restart your computer.

The next troubleshooter we’re going to try is the SFC scan. This is a command-line tool that goes through your system searching for potential issues.

Of course, if resolving these issues is possible, the SFC scan will do it automatically.

5. Run DISM

1. Right-click Start and open Command Prompt (Admin).
2. Paste the following command and press Enter:
   • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
3. Wait until the scan is finished.
4. Restart your computer and try updating again.

And the third troubleshooter we’re going to try is DISM. DISM stands for Deployment Image Servicing and Management.

As its name says, it reloads the system image, which can lead to solving potential BSOD issues.  The first part was the standard procedure.

As an alternative, we will also show you the procedure that utilizes the installation media below.

1. Insert your Windows installation media.
2. Right-click the Start menu and, from the menu, choose the Command Prompt (Admin).
3. In the command line, type the following commands and press Enter after each:
   • dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
   • dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
4. Now, type the following command and press Enter:
   • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /source:WIM:X:SourcesInstall.wim:1 /LimitAccess
5. Make sure to change an X value with the letter of the mounted drive with Windows 10 installation.
6. After the procedure is finished, restart your computer.

6. Reinstall your audio drivers

1. Open Device Manager.
2. Locate the driver that you want to remove, right-click it, and choose Uninstall from the menu.
   
3. If available, check Remove driver software for this device and click OK.

After uninstalling the driver, Windows 10 will install the default driver instead. If the default driver works well and your PC is stable, you can continue using it, or you can update the driver with the newer version.

Drivers can often cause these types of errors, and sometimes updating the drivers doesn’t help, so you’ll have to find and reinstall the problematic driver.

Few users reported that their audio drivers were causing the INVALID FLOATING POINT STATE error, but the problem was fixed after reinstalling those drivers.

7. Remove problematic applications

Third-party applications can often cause this error to appear, and in order to fix this problem, you need to find and remove the problematic applications.

How can I fix the INVALID FLOATING POINT STATE error?

1. Update Windows 10

• отсутствующие либо поврежденные системные компоненты;
• конфликт запускаемого приложения со сторонней программой/службой;
• поврежденные файлы запускаемого приложения;
• присутствие кириллицы в расположении исполняемого файла приложения;
• «кривая» установка библиотек Visual Studio C++ и .NET Framework либо их отсутствие.

Решение ошибки «Runtime error»

Решение №1 Ликвидация кириллицы

Ошибка «Runtime error» может возникать при запуске тех программ и игр, в расположении которых присутствуют кириллические символы. Решение №2 Изменение языка программ, не поддерживающих Юникод

Появление ошибки «Runtime error» возможно в том случае, если в параметрах региональных стандартов для приложений, не поддерживающих Юникод, задан русский, а не английский язык.

• Нажмите WIN+R и выполните значение «CONTROL»;
• кликните на пункт «Изменение форматов даты, времени и чисел» в разделе «Часы и регион»;
• перейдите во вкладку «Дополнительно» в появившемся окошке «Регион»;
• нажмите на кнопку «Изменить язык системы…»;
• в ниспадающем меню выберите «Английский (США)» и сохраните внесенные изменения;

Решение №3 Переустановка Visual Studio C++ и .NET Framework

Я с такой фигней сталкивался, когда запускал приложение под некоторыми win98, на XP было все ок!
Спасало обновление MDAC, либо копирование папки
Program FilesCommon FilesSystem
с рабочей win98 на нерабочую, когда это непомогало, спасала переустановка винды 🙂

В случае если сценарий импорта из 1С выполняется интерактивно в интерфейсе DStudio, решение для данной ошибки следующее:

How can I fix the INVALID FLOATING POINT STATE error?

1. Update Windows 10

As an alternative, we will also show you the procedure that utilizes the installation media below.

6. Reinstall your audio drivers

After uninstalling the driver, Windows 10 will install the default driver instead. If the default driver works well and your PC is stable, you can continue using it, or you can update the driver with the newer version.

Drivers can often cause these types of errors, and sometimes updating the drivers doesn’t help, so you’ll have to find and reinstall the problematic driver.

Few users reported that their audio drivers were causing the INVALID FLOATING POINT STATE error, but the problem was fixed after reinstalling those drivers.

7. Remove problematic applications

Third-party applications can often cause this error to appear, and in order to fix this problem you need to find and remove the problematic applications.

Your antivirus or firewall can cause this problem, therefore we recommend that you temporarily remove your antivirus program. Uninstalling the antivirus might not fix the problem.

8. Reset Windows 10

1. Открыть в текстовом редакторе файл сценария (расширение «ded»);
2. Найти раздел «EnvironmentVariables» и в описании переменной «DisableFloatExceptions» добавить строку 1 :

Значение переменной «DisableFloatExceptions» при правильной правке сценария отразится в настройках Deductor (Рис. 2)

Важно: При изменении и последующем сохранении сценария в DStudio данные изменения могут быть утеряны.

В случае если сценарий используется в пакетном режиме, решение следующее:

В связи с этим, при применении данного решения необходимо проверить работу сценария.

2. Запустите. Перейдите на вкладку «Реестр» на панели слева.
3. В разделе «Целостность» поставьте галочки на всех возможных пунктах – никто не знает, в чем именно проблема.
4. Нажмите кнопку «Поиск проблем». Когда этот процесс закончится, нажмите кнопку «Исправить…».

Использование

1. Подождите, пока приложение исправит все проблемы. Перезагрузите компьютер.

После этого runtime error должен перестать появляться. Если нет, переходим к следующему решению.

Способ №2. DirectX

Вполне вероятно, что ее появление вызывают какие-то проблемы с DirectX. Возможно, какие-то файлы исполняемых библиотек были повреждены или же существующие библиотеки банально устарели.

В любом случае, лучше всего просто установить наиболее актуальные варианты и, опять же, перезагрузить компьютер.

Для этого зайдите на сайт Microsoft, на страницу с возможностью скачать DirectX. Запустите скачанный файл и выполните все действия, подразумевающие установку исполняемых библиотек.

Здесь нет никаких особых рекомендаций – обычная.

Способ №3. Visual C++

О распространяемом пакете Visual C++ в контексте рассматриваемой проблемы можно скачать то же самое, что и о библиотеках DirectX.

Возможно, какие-то файлы были повреждены или версия устарела.

Бывают в данном случае и другие ситуации, когда установленная C++ попросту не подходит для вашей операционной системы.

Ниже приведена таблица с вариантами, которые подходят для разных версий ОС.

Так вот, в зависимости от того, какая у вас ОС, вам следует скачать и инсталировать на свой компьютер C++2008 (64-бит, 32-бит), C++2010 (64-бит, 32-бит) или же C++2015 обновление 3.

Это наиболее актуальная версия по состоянию на июнь 2017 года. В будущем выйдут новые, поэтому следите за новостями на официальном сайте Microsoft.

Скачивание происходит одинаково – выбираем язык распространяемого компонента и жмем кнопку «Скачать». После этого останется запустить загруженный файл.

После этого перезагрузите компьютер.
