Cannot download files from Sendspace

Hello, I’m a first time poster, so please let me know if I’m doing anything wrong. I’ve been using JDownloader for a short while now and I’ve run into a problem: for some reason, it won’t download anything from Sendspace. It just won’t recognize it or something. Before I posted, I made sure to search for this topic and saw that other people had had problems with that site before. I created a log, and here is the info:

What should I do next? Is there something I need to do to make it work, or is this something that will be worked on and included in a future update? Thanks for your help.

I realized that I didn’t check one of the dates in the box, so I created another log, just in case that would be more complete and helpful.

you need to use newer java. old 1.6 cannot use stronger ssl encryption.

I suggest to use latest java. Either setup on your own or install fresh JDownloader 2 and restore your configs.
Either backup/restore the complete cfg folder
or
Menu -> Backup

Thanks for the advice. I’ve updated to the latest java for my Mac, on which I am running OSX 10.6.8. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it is late enough, and I am still having the same problem. Other than updating to a newer OSX (which I really don’t want to do), are there any other options? Thanks!

What java version did you upgrade to?
You could try to download java from oracle, maybe newerr version still works on older mac os version?

According to this website: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** , the latest update available for Mac OSX 10.6 is Java 1.6.0_65. If there is a later version available for Mac OSX 10.6.8., I would happily update. Are there any Mac users that can confirm this? Thanks!

Jiaz, thanks for your time and effort for adding a workaround to allow older java. I have updated to the latest version of DL2 and have tested; unfortunately, the same problem persists. I’m not sure if there’s anything else I should or shouldn’t be doing; here is the info for the latest log:

My (imperfect and hopefully temporary) solution so far has been to simply download all of the files from sendspace links from my office computer, which is a PC which is constantly being updated, so there’s no problem there. The majority of the stuff I’m downloading is from zippyshare, which I can do from home. Still, I’d love to be able to do it all from my Mac at home if possible. But if there is no solution for that, at least I do have another way. Thanks for all your help, I appreciate it.

No chance for old Java 1.6. They enforce https serverside and enforce use of aes 256 which is not available in old Java 1.6. I will check if its possible to enable it for old java but cannot guarantee to get it working
