I can’t loggin into the client. It says that I have wrong username and password, but clearly I can loggin into the Steam website. Anyone knowing the problem?

I have reinstalled Steam ( which was a big mistake). Now I have to redownload every game 🙁

I also cannot log into the steam client and it’s starting to really irritate me since I can log into the website just fine, and yes, I have changed passwords repeatedly, uninstalled/reinstalled steam, checked firewalls and antivirus permissions etc, uninstalled reinstalled EVERYTHING that is listed on the steam help pages (short of win 10 itself) and NOTHING has worked.
Still can log into to the website, but NOT the client.
Also, EVERY time i log into the website it keeps demanding the special code that it sends to my email, but I’m using the same browsers, it’s getting old fast after 4 hours.

Hello, i have been trying for over an hour to create a new account for my brother, sice csgo is free, and whenever i try to create a new account, i get the error: «There was a problem creating your Steam account, please try again later.»

What is this error?

How can i avoid it?

Yep, i do, and i’ve tried it on my other 2 laptops and my phone. None worked.. :/

Nobody is gonna be able to help me, as far as i’ve seen, i’ve googled my problem, but nothing literally comes up, just a simillar error but not the same, and i’ve tried the fix for that similar error, nothing is working..

One thing I can suggest.

Upload a screenshot of the error, so we can see the error for ourselves. Since you tried other devices, it’s either a server problem or something in your internet or router settings which can possibly block Steam registering accounts. That last bit may not be the case, I know, but it can happen.

This issue really freaked me out. I don’t use steam a lot, and just made a big purchase (VR set), only to suddenly find myself locked out of my account due to this error. Had me worried Steam just stole my money.

I was able to get in by connecting with a private browser (chrome). This indicates maybe Steam has done something stupid with cookies or other cached browser data. So, I guess as a work around until Steam removes their heads from their third point of contact, might be clearing all cache stuff, or using a private browser.

hello guys, i had the same problem for the past few minutes. i use the Opera GX browser, basically what i did is : open run (win+r) > type temp then press enter > delete all files in the folder, then again open run (win+r) > type %temp% then press enter > delete all files in the folder (note that some files won’t delete cause of windows won’t let you) and then after that i cleared my browser’s cache/cookies and sign in again. it worked fine for me. try this fix, i hope it works out for you guys.

I can’t get in today, was in yesterday no problem. I use Chrome, cleared cookies and cache to no avail.
