I understand that you receive an error while printing.
It appears that the printer driver is corrupted or you were having an old printer and the drivers might be conflicting. You have to uninstall and reinstall the driver for Samsing printer as well as make sure uninstall th eold printer driver (if any). Also, check for the USB drivers as it may not be compatble with Samsung drivers.

SPL-C ERROR with Samsung CLX-3160 FN when printing from iMac
This can be fixed by stretching out a solenoid spring on the power cord side of the printer. The solenoid acts as a clutch to stop the spinning developer actuator at the right spot. The picture below is from a Samsung CLP-300 but these both use the same Imaging Unit so this should work. It’s just a little more involved taking off the top scanner / buttonpad off the CLX-3160.
Open up the right side (power cord side) of the printer (take off top cover, then take off side cover). Then, find a solenoid (little metal square) that touches the white plastic vertical spur gear. Take the spring off the solenoid. Now, put the spring back on — only this time you will attach one anchor point to the middle of the spring as to pre-stretch the spring for more tension.
The problem is that the spring gets weak over time / the cogs round out over time and the solenoid finger is overcome by the spinning cogs, and resulting in selecting the wrong developer.

I understand that you receive an error while printing.
It appears that the printer driver is corrupted or you were having an old printer and the drivers might be conflicting. You have to uninstall and reinstall the driver for Samsing printer as well as make sure uninstall th eold printer driver (if any). Also, check for the USB drivers as it may not be compatble with Samsung drivers.

SPL-C ERROR with Samsung CLX-3160 FN when printing from iMac
This can be fixed by stretching out a solenoid spring on the power cord side of the printer. The solenoid acts as a clutch to stop the spinning developer actuator at the right spot. The picture below is from a Samsung CLP-300 but these both use the same Imaging Unit so this should work. It’s just a little more involved taking off the top scanner / buttonpad off the CLX-3160.
Open up the right side (power cord side) of the printer (take off top cover, then take off side cover). Then, find a solenoid (little metal square) that touches the white plastic vertical spur gear. Take the spring off the solenoid. Now, put the spring back on — only this time you will attach one anchor point to the middle of the spring as to pre-stretch the spring for more tension.
The problem is that the spring gets weak over time / the cogs round out over time and the solenoid finger is overcome by the spinning cogs, and resulting in selecting the wrong developer.

In my samsung 315 both of the green lights are blinking at the same time. it won’t print any document. I have check the manuel but cant seem to see what they mean blinking in combination. Toner LEDs are.

Story:
I have b215 for 4 weeks, on did face many issues so far.(like : not starting printing any jobs until laptop restart; gibberish symbols printed even from direct webinterface upload pdf (so skipping spooler and system I assume); and also this)
It doesn’t occur everytime, but amount of issues I face for past month is overwhelming.
Connected through wifi, router 0.5m from printer, 0.5m further there’s laptop.
It occured even today — with latest (today checked wupdate, so hopefully after the dread May’s update printer issue) win10 system, latest firmware on printer (88.000.60.000), latest drivers from website.
* (was default) RAW + snmp
* and LPR without snmp and lpr byte counting
Today switched form PCL6 to SPL, will see tomorrow if it occurs again. (I don’t have high hopes about that, but maybe at least error switches from pcl6 error to spl error 🙂
If it does occur I yet plan to check directly using usb cable, but that’s last thing that comes into my mind with this device.
The problem maybe occurs more if I print something, not to anything for like an hour or so, and then try to print again. ?
I’m lost what else can I do.
* Any ideas ?
* Is there some extended debug log to look for issues ? (either windows, or printer?)
* Is this «timeout» somehow controlled in settings? (I only Properties->Security-System timeout, but that doesn’t seems related? I increased it to 10 mins.. didn’t help, should set in hours?)
* is there any certain way to determine is this a driver issue, system (as in windows) issue, or printer issue?
Didn’t yet have the chance to try different device connected to the same driver with wifi, nor different printer to same laptop, that’s on my list.
* any chance it’s related to router or something ?
I really need reliable printer, and can’t go through «restart printer, router & laptop» routine each time I want to print something. maybe I misconfigured something I don’t know..

After that printer stops printing at all.

The driver (PCL6 for 3315) was downloaded from xerox support web-site. And there is no print-server in the net, so I’m not sure LPR-mode will work correctly. Could you explain how to configure LPR (» queue name» and others).

You would be better off in most circumstances with PCL over PCL6, but I wouldn’t consider either unless for some reason the PS driver wasn’t working.

Добрый день. Принтер подключен по LPT, после посыла на печать пишет:

В связи с выше изложенным вопросы:
1. В чем проблема моего принтера, как ему помочь?
2. Если проблема с прошивкой(FW), возможно ли ее поменять без программатора?
3. Если возможна перепрошивка без программатора, то с благодарностью приму в дар необходимую мне прошивку

Вас не туда повело, скорее всего. Можете, конечно, начать и с прошивки — но ТОЛЬКО если он и «с кнопки» вместо внутреннего отчета печатает такое же сообщение. Иначе — обратитесь к дровам, ОС, режиму порта, подключению по USB, и т.д.
Внутренний отчет проверю завтра.
На текущих драйверах принтер печатал, затем перестал, с выводом на печать выше приведенной ошибки.
ОС не менялась (возможно обновлялась).
По USB подключить не представляется возможным, принтер только с LPT разъемом.

У нас тож проверочный такой и подключен по USB.
(3,4,5) — а может у него усб на нём подпалёный и/или разъём выпаян? 🙂
(6). а дырка сбоку в корпусе — аккуратно заклеена?)
(7) Гы, про конкретно дырку в (2) ничего нет. Но понял свою ошибку в (6), за что, конечно, спасибо, — переформулирую: может у него усб разъём выпаян на нём, плюс ещё может и подпалёный.
(2) Дровищи всё жеж переставить бы ему. И если не поможет, то на другом компе/ноуте бы проверить.
Всем большое спасибо.
В результате проверки выяснилось:
1. «с кнопки» внутренний отчет печатается нормально
2. на другом компьютере с теми же драйверами принтер функционирует нормально
Соответсвенно причина не в принтере, не в интерфейсе и не в драйверах, а в компьютере — с этим я разберусь позже.

Just like in the post below, my printer after a year or so started to fail printing and prints an SPL ERROR — Incomplete Session by time out. Firmware is up to date (see below). There is no warning or error on the SyncThru pages.

Seems I found a solution myself. I disabled every other protocoll except wsd and raw in the printers webUI (SyncThru), disabled standard printer plugin of my android phone, added the printer manually to the samsung mobile print app with IP and Port in RAW mode. Works for now. Nevertheless would like to now, what the problem might be.

Both on a USB hub to the AEBS. Really getting frustrating…Both show up in the Airport Utility, every time I print I get this error msg printed from the printer:

I am having the same problem of slow printing on samsung 2510, and its really slow. I would also appreciate some help to resolve this issue.

I have a Samsung CLP-510 on the same Airport Base Station and printing 1 page takes around 15 minutes. Printing a 30-page report takes 15 minutes for every 3 to 4 pages. It will print a couple of pages then sit and wait for the next group.

I just bought the Samsung ML-2510 and it’s printing fine when directly connected to the macbook pro, but when connected to the AEBS, it’s taking 4-8 mins to print each page. Every second or third print job gives me that same error message «SPL-C ERROR — Incomplete Session by time out»
Apple one-to-one support had no help to offer, nor did Samsung.

I get the same error, although I have an identical mac, Running identical osx (Leopard), with the identical driver and it works no problem!
I have sometimes been able to fixed it by switching off the printer and the airport express, waiting a while, and then plugging it in again.

I too was having problems trying to get my Samsung CLP-510 to print wirelessly from an Airport Express Base Station from two different MBPs — one using Tiger and the other using Leopard. Here are the solutions that worked flawlessly for me.
For the Tiger MBP:
1. Uninstall printer
2. Download and install latest drivers from Samsung at
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/supportDown.do?modelnm=CLP-510&mType=DR&vType=L&dispnm=CLP-510
Note: If you’re not using the CLP 510, simply search for your model number in the search box. You will be directed to a page for downloading the drivers for your operating system.
3. Reinstall printer
4. Print — It worked perfectly for me after I tried everything.
For Leopard: This should work with any printer problems that occur after updating to 10.5.2. I found this solution on another discussion board and it was posted by Bill Helsabeck
1. Add Airport printer
2. Download this utility:

3. Run FixAirportPrinter application
4. Double-click on printer in list (or click on printer and click on
«Fix Printer» button)

FYI: I resolved this exact issue (with a Samsung CLP 310) by downgrading the main base station to firmware version 7.2.1.
To do this, log in to your main base station with the AirPort Utility, go to the «Base Station» menu, and select «Upload Firmware…»
Before this, I could only print one or two pages wirelessly about 25% of the time without error. After doing this, I’ve been able to print wirelessly 100% without error.

Ubuntu 18.04, принтер Samsung ML-2160. При установке системы встал «из коробки», но не печатал, пока не установил драйверы от производителя. После этого печать шла практически без проблем до вчерашнего дня. Вчера по сети жена с ноутбука отправила на печать документы, и принтер их не напечатал. Я был на работе и точного описания ситуации дать не могу. Сегодня пришел с работы, включил компьютер, и принтер выдал лист (и таких листов вышло уже более 15 — по количеству попыток ч-л напечатать):

Сообщение об ошибке может иметь разные значения POSITION, например, 0х0 (0) или 0х5b (91) и т.д. LINE тоже может быть разным: 384, 466 либо 1353.
Самое интересное, что вывод страницы с ошибкой может быть в течение 2-3 минут после отправки задания (тестовая страница) на печать, а если отправить реальный файл, например, 5-и страничный текстовый документ, то только в процессе перезагрузки/выключения компьютера, когда появляется фиолетовая заставка.
Удаление, переустановка принтера не помогает.

andrey_4j, Во первых нужно устанавливать принтеры через Web интерфейс это по localhost:631 в браузере. Во вторых у сего девайса процессор по моему Samsung ARM9, а значит драйвер Splix (но это не точно). В любом случае попробуйте к винде подключить, может у него тонер кончился.

Сегодня разобрался.
Дело в кабеле USB. Подключал принтер к ноуту с виндой, кабель для этого взял запасной, т.к. тот, на котором он висит, загнан в кабель-канал. Встал с пол пинка и начал печатать. Дай, думаю, и к своему компу через этот кабель подключу. И о чудо, принтер заработал, как надо. Выходит, у них тоже болезненная чувствительность к качеству кабеля.
