I understand that you receive an error while printing.
It appears that the printer driver is corrupted or you were having an old printer and the drivers might be conflicting. You have to uninstall and reinstall the driver for Samsing printer as well as make sure uninstall th eold printer driver (if any). Also, check for the USB drivers as it may not be compatble with Samsung drivers.

SPL-C ERROR with Samsung CLX-3160 FN when printing from iMac
This can be fixed by stretching out a solenoid spring on the power cord side of the printer. The solenoid acts as a clutch to stop the spinning developer actuator at the right spot. The picture below is from a Samsung CLP-300 but these both use the same Imaging Unit so this should work. It’s just a little more involved taking off the top scanner / buttonpad off the CLX-3160.
Open up the right side (power cord side) of the printer (take off top cover, then take off side cover). Then, find a solenoid (little metal square) that touches the white plastic vertical spur gear. Take the spring off the solenoid. Now, put the spring back on — only this time you will attach one anchor point to the middle of the spring as to pre-stretch the spring for more tension.
The problem is that the spring gets weak over time / the cogs round out over time and the solenoid finger is overcome by the spinning cogs, and resulting in selecting the wrong developer.

Не знаю че делать.. . я слышал что это из-за краски или шнура.. . но краска есть.. . еще 82%. а шнур мне советывали экранированный ставить.. . и по дороже.. . а на сколько я знаю.. . что экранированный USB, что обычный.. . скорость передачи не меняется. и от цен тут точно не зависит.. .
Помогите пожалуйста.. . СРОЧНО НАДО ОТПРАВЛЯТЬ ДОКУМЕНТЫ.

I have read up on this problem and it seems that the firmware has to be updated.Hp now took over this department and i am not sure as to will help.where to download drivers and firmware for samsung on the hp website.I hope this

Thaks a lot for your attention. I read already that it should be either firmware or cable. but could not find firmware on HP site — only drivers. which is not help at all.

i have the same issue with a SL-M2026W and firmware 3.00.01.15, tried to «upgrade» to 3.00.01.12 and it falied, after the syncthru window closed i had to unplug the cord (it’s been stuck at yellow flashing for two hours then the blue led went on but was still flashing the yellow one and could’nt even power off, i had to pull the power cord) then i powered it on again and checked, the firmware is still 3.00.01.15. Don’t know how to try without risking bricking the device

I understand that you receive an error while printing.
It appears that the printer driver is corrupted or you were having an old printer and the drivers might be conflicting. You have to uninstall and reinstall the driver for Samsing printer as well as make sure uninstall th eold printer driver (if any). Also, check for the USB drivers as it may not be compatble with Samsung drivers.

SPL-C ERROR with Samsung CLX-3160 FN when printing from iMac
This can be fixed by stretching out a solenoid spring on the power cord side of the printer. The solenoid acts as a clutch to stop the spinning developer actuator at the right spot. The picture below is from a Samsung CLP-300 but these both use the same Imaging Unit so this should work. It’s just a little more involved taking off the top scanner / buttonpad off the CLX-3160.
Open up the right side (power cord side) of the printer (take off top cover, then take off side cover). Then, find a solenoid (little metal square) that touches the white plastic vertical spur gear. Take the spring off the solenoid. Now, put the spring back on — only this time you will attach one anchor point to the middle of the spring as to pre-stretch the spring for more tension.
The problem is that the spring gets weak over time / the cogs round out over time and the solenoid finger is overcome by the spinning cogs, and resulting in selecting the wrong developer.

In my samsung 315 both of the green lights are blinking at the same time. it won’t print any document. I have check the manuel but cant seem to see what they mean blinking in combination. Toner LEDs are.

Ubuntu 18.04, принтер Samsung ML-2160. При установке системы встал «из коробки», но не печатал, пока не установил драйверы от производителя. После этого печать шла практически без проблем до вчерашнего дня. Вчера по сети жена с ноутбука отправила на печать документы, и принтер их не напечатал. Я был на работе и точного описания ситуации дать не могу. Сегодня пришел с работы, включил компьютер, и принтер выдал лист (и таких листов вышло уже более 15 — по количеству попыток ч-л напечатать):

Сообщение об ошибке может иметь разные значения POSITION, например, 0х0 (0) или 0х5b (91) и т.д. LINE тоже может быть разным: 384, 466 либо 1353.
Самое интересное, что вывод страницы с ошибкой может быть в течение 2-3 минут после отправки задания (тестовая страница) на печать, а если отправить реальный файл, например, 5-и страничный текстовый документ, то только в процессе перезагрузки/выключения компьютера, когда появляется фиолетовая заставка.
Удаление, переустановка принтера не помогает.

andrey_4j, Во первых нужно устанавливать принтеры через Web интерфейс это по localhost:631 в браузере. Во вторых у сего девайса процессор по моему Samsung ARM9, а значит драйвер Splix (но это не точно). В любом случае попробуйте к винде подключить, может у него тонер кончился.

Сегодня разобрался.
Дело в кабеле USB. Подключал принтер к ноуту с виндой, кабель для этого взял запасной, т.к. тот, на котором он висит, загнан в кабель-канал. Встал с пол пинка и начал печатать. Дай, думаю, и к своему компу через этот кабель подключу. И о чудо, принтер заработал, как надо. Выходит, у них тоже болезненная чувствительность к качеству кабеля.

Судя по всему, ошибка говорит о том, что не все данные доходят до принтера в целостности.
Возможно, из-за проблем с USB на плате принтера. Тогда — только замена платы.

есть только

Вот отчет после задание печат. Менял несколко кабеля усб. Ничего. Менял компютери… но там никакой ответ принтера. компютер обнаружает новое у-во но не печати. Толко с щатним комп ест той ответ. Там прошивка17ну. Можно ли копат куда-то? Сдес плата стоит болше чем новий принтер…

Если несколько компьютеров не могут определить принтер, то плата мертвая.
Принтер — в разборку.
Или ждать, когда плата подвернется бесплатная.

Сегодня у меня что то подобное попалось с CLP360
Компом тоже видится , но в драйвере показывает что он не USB а LPT
Отчеты саплес печатает норм, а вместо конфигурации другую фигню
Снял форматер у клиента , попробую сейчас в дома залить другие дампы , завтра о результате отпишусь

я тоже думал-думал… можно ли новие драйвери мешают работу на старие версии прошивки/в том случай 10/

вообщем залил пофиксены дампы (в флеш и епром)
подал питание 3.3и на формотер и подключил к компу ,
у меня у дома XP определил форматер и поставились драйвера гуд
у клиента 2 компа с win7 ни в какую не печатали
утром пойду к клиенту и поставлю форматер в апарат (результат озвучу )
грешу пока на поврежденную прошивку в нем
может и у Вас «atanasssko» аналогично

Для 100% проверки надо запаять в больной принтер spi и eeprom от рабочего. Не только дампы, но и сами микросхемы.
Но, кажется мне все же, что USB вход подпалили …
